I agree with you that De Bruyne's entry into the team had a significant impact on the originality of Manchester City's attack. As an attacker, Haaland may find it difficult to miss De Bruyne's valuable pass. But it must be admitted that Manchester City have a history under Pep Guardiola showing their capacity to win under these circumstances. Guardiola is renowned for his ability to devise original methods and tactical mindset. He frequently compensated for the absence of key players by taking advantage of agile player rotations and effective tactical setups.

Guardiola is always trying to pick versatile players who can play in many positions and this is a very smart move as it will allow the team to rotate if necessary. But De Bruyne is more than just a good universal player, he is capable of creating scoring chances on his own and he has a great shot even from long range, the absence of such a player is always felt by the team.
Some time ago, Manchester City has tried to find a replacement for KDB, but it seems that the agreement that was planned to bring Lucas Paqueta to the Etihad stadium has officially ended. Until now, Pep Guardiola is still quite confused about the midfield options available and considering that KDB was absent for a long time due to the injury, Guardiola had to rotate his players within a certain time.

If we look at domestic league matches, KDB's position is currently filled by Julian Alvarez or Phil Foden but still they end up being less productive due to the absence of creative midfielders like KDB. I am also very curious whether Manchester City will continue to maintain its current options for the Champions League competition? Because we know this competition is more difficult and the competition in it brings together all the strong teams in Europe.

Manchester City performance have declined so much this new season, the team finds it really difficulty to improved their game because significant players are injured. Pep Guardiola already had replacement for these players but these players will never suit in so perfect as these forme players. Kelvin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva remained the pillars in cityzens midfield, nothing changes. They will recover and fall back fully fit to the squad. These two players absence is really affecting Erling Haaland in the frontline, no one to give crucial key passes to the Norway international for him to score, things getting tougher for Haaland.

I can't agree with this. City is quite stable at this moment even though the performance was a bit less compared with the last season. City has been missing a lot of its players due to the injury. Pep needs to think even harder in rotating its player right now.
Guendogan and mahrez which were important players for club had been leaving from city. Guardiola had no choice otherthan try to buy the new player. Some players like doku or even paqueta have been linked to the manchestercity.

It's not clear yet which player that will be acquired by manchester city. I saw that how the public was suggesting city to take doku rather than paqueta and i do agree with this. The problem is now there was no latest news came from doku. It's likely doku's transfer will happen. Before attempting to acquire a new winger for the city team, I hope that Pep will reconsider his decision and think it over again. I saw that some nes already reported that if city already made an agreement with rennes regarding his transfer which is £55m.

They are definitely not in the same shape they had when everyone was peaking and healthy towards the final phase of last season. Of course they are still the favorites and they can still deliver amazing performances. No doubt about that, but De Bruyne, Gundogan and Silva missing for a few games or even a very long time would weaken every team There has also been an amazing synergy between Gundogan and De Bruyne. They were the perfect complements as midfielders. But let's see if Manchester City can keep their dominance in the Champions League. I believe they will, but I also believe that they are better off with a healthy De Bruyne than without him.
Player injury is one thing that cannot be avoided in football, no one can predict when it will happen and how long he will undergo treatment. De Bruyne injury has been very detrimental to Manchester City, at the same time they have also lost Gundogan who chose to go to Barcelona and Bernardo Silva who suffered the same fate as De Bruyne.

De Bruyne is an important player in the Manchester City squad but without him he could still be replaced by another reliable player, although Manchester City's appearance was a bit unstable due to De Bruyne not being present in the line up, Manchester City is still the top team in the UCL. Guardiola is very aware of the condition of his team without the presence of De Bruyne, he will try to do his best to maintain the stability of his team's appearance to maintain its dominance.

@mamesso while De Bryune is a very important player and his absence is definitely a big loss but it won’t make City weak in fact it’ll give them a surprise element because the opposite coach will have a difficult time guessing what system Pep will deploy. Also when it comes to champions league Bayern is my favourite because of Harry Kane however I’m not underestimating City because of Halland as he can score anytime and change the outcome of the match.

Copenhagen fc will fight for away match against Raków Częstochowa and actually i was so blind the strength from these teams but if we compared the recent performance from them i can see Copenhagen is more better than Częstochowa because at their domestic league Copenhagen has unbeatable status with gets 5 wins but their recent performance at champion league is not so impressive even Copenhagen have to qualified dramatically against Sparta Praha

The odds between these teams is almost be equally same that Copenhagen has odds @2.65 and the odds for Częstochowa is @2.60 but my prediction is Copenhagen will attempt to playing attacking since the beginning of match and perhaps Copenhagen win for this match is good to be considered but indeed this option is very risky because possibly Częstochowa will displayed good performance especially they are playing at their home so i am sure they do not want to lose or other option just like both teams to scores probably good pick

These two players have a central role in the strategy that Pep implements with his system. that's why, these two players have very good chemistry. but recently, Pep has developed another strategy IMO. now, every player is more involved when it comes to scoring goals, City is not just relying on Haaland and De Bruyne. we can even refer to the crucial match in the champions league last season, how City faced strong teams like against Madrid and Bayern.
Last season, Real Madrid qualified for the Champions League final after winning against tough opposition. The team they faced in the final match was relatively weak compared to the two teams they defeated in the semi-final and quarter-final to book their place in the final. Although Inter Milan are not as tough opponents as Real Madrid or Bayern Munich, Manchester City had a hard time winning the final match. At one time Inter Milan's performance looked like Manchester City might lose the final match but in the end Manchester City won by one goal against Inter Milan. Kevin De Bruyne's absence in the final was well understood by Manchester City. Had Kevin De Bruyne been fit and playing full time for Manchester City, I believe Manchester City would not have had such a hard time winning the match against Inter Milan.

Of course this is bad news, their prediction if De Bruyne can only recover at the beginning of next year. That means there are 4 months more he has to rest. Silva and Stones are also injured, so Pep can take advantage of the transfer moment that is still open at the moment to dance in De Bruyne's replacement. No option has been said by Pep yet but he has said, finding a replacement is the best option because 4 months is not a short time.

For me we had a surprise yesterday as Dinamo Zagreb is out of the group stages of the Champions League, they were eliminated by AEK Athens while they were leading comfortaby 0-2 most of the game and they lost it all in the last 10 minutes which by the way were additional added time so they got punished in the last minutes of the game, something very uncommon for a team of the level of Dinamo Zagreb. We are used to see them almost every year in the group stages and I think that because of that the result of yesterday game was a surprise.Congrats to AEK though.
Football is a sport that has many surprises and there are even lots of unexpected things to happen where the final result may not match expectations, especially since this is the Champions League, which is the target or desire for all clubs to have a title here.
If you think about it and look at the qualifying matches that have been carried out, Dinamo Zagreb looks strong enough to be able to qualify for the Champions League, but in reality they have to lose their place just because they were defeated by AEK on aggregate from both Legs 3 - 4.
Now AEK has a slightly safer place in the Champions League and for the next play-off match they will meet Antwerp and this will be a slightly difficult match for AEK.

I think Antwerp lacks the experience compared to AEK and deep down I think Dinamo Zagreb is a much stronger team when we compare the two teams together so in this regard AEK is very lucky to have an encounter with a team from the Belgian league that lacks the experience in such a high performing competition.I personally think will bet on AEK to qualify as no matter what happens in the first game in Belgium I know the fans of AEK are on fire when they are playing at home so most likely they will qualify to the group stages.
AEK development looks very significant in this qualifying round and they are indeed lucky because they have only met clubs from the Belgian League which so far is classified as a league that is not very popular.
For the 2022/23 season AEK in the Greek Super League won there and they have dominated the League for the last few seasons so when they meet Dinamo Zagreb they can take a chance to have a win.

Just one step away from AEK actually having a safe position and when that happens the fans will surely be very proud and satisfied with the completion of this qualifier.

I can't really say they are the favourite in winning the UEFA Champions league as you said, they have their main players injured and sold,Debruyne,Mahrez,Gundogan and Bernando Silva  all out,but Pep has really shown that he is a very good coach, being able to device a means to win a  team like Newcastle who have shown that they are worth their position last season. It makes me feel like he is  the best coach in the world, but I still think a more organised team like Arsenal will win City if they should meet again when those players are out injured.
The champions league will soon start, and with the transfer window still on,most teams have the chance to add quality players to their squad ahead of the competition which will kick-off in two weeks time, and untill the game starts,we can't just conclude that City is the favourite for the Tittle.
In any case, at this moment in time, Pep Guardiola would prefer that De Bruyne was fine, rather than conducting urgent experiments on tactics to find a replacement for such a valuable player Wink In any case, Manchester City will be one of the main favorites of the current Champions League, but still its absence can play a negative role when it is necessary to solve the problem in a strictly defined match.

We hace really good games ahead, first of all i was surprised by the elimination of Dinamo Zagreb in hands of AEK, because Dinamo was always a regular one on stage groups of the champions league.
Zagreb is failed to go to the UCL. It surprises zagreb's fans. AEK was quite stronger compared with zagreb and congratulation for aek. Dinamo must feel satisfy to play in the lower competition like europa league. It's far better rather than being absent from european competition. It will be playing against sparta prague in europa league play off. It's not an easy opponent for zagreb.
It's a shame if the club cannot beat it. Im all in on zagreb. I hope it will not disappoint me again. Zagrab was not lucky enough against AEK. Im not even expecting zagreb to be absent from playing in UCL. Zagrab could do better against AEK. It's actually unlucky during the match.
Sparta prague was losing from copenhagen after it was loosing in penalty. Zagreb needs to take it as a tough opponent. Zagreb shall not repeat the same shit against sparta.

The defensive line must try to perform even solid compared to the match against AEK.

Zagreb's odds looks good.

At the beginning of this season City had a little problem with several of its players, De Buryne was hit by an injury, Bernardo Silva also had to be absent in the last two matches played by City. apart from that, Pep did not apply his flagship formation pattern. the departure of Gundohan, Mahrez, made Pep choose another option. that's why, it looks like City has decreased in performance. Naturally, because some of the players had to be absent in several matches. maybe, if Bernardo Silva, Stones, has been confirmed fit. Pep can implement the system the way he wants. after all the Champions League competition still has a time lag before it rolls out, Pep can give their young players the opportunity to grow even more. what is certain, in this competition City remains one of the favorite teams.

Now in this last stage we have all very equal confrontations, the only one who its not equal its the Galatasaray Molde one.

There is really a big quality difference between Galatasaray and Molde. Galatasaray have made great transfers this summer and filled their squad with star players. One can say that they are mostly 30-year-old players or so but it isn't that simple. For example Icardi is also 30 years old but he is playing at another level here really.

As a Galatasaray fan I can say that the most valuable player in the team for me is Icardi. He has great finishing skills that he has scored so many goals in official games in his career at Galatasaray until now.

They only need to get better at defending and then they can really do nice things in the group stage. I mention the group stage because I don't expect any serious problem against Molde.  Smiley

Pep Guardiola will consider making a move for players he will have to build and work on the players he has no wonder he used the services of Palmer and Phil Foden as the creative midfielder's. They did well but that wasn't a hundred percent.
De Brunyne must be replaced or Man City should sign a player that's can fill up into his role until he is back fro Injury.
They struggled Wining the game against Sevilla and they almost went back home without the finals.
The situation at Manchester City may not be Pep Guardiola's first priority when considering the transfer market. His ability to grow corporate potential makes this even more plausible. When working with Palmer and Phil Foden, he's good. Despite not being De Bruyne, they show Pep's ideas. Accidents can happen anytime, right? Maybe De Bruyne won't play for 4 months. That seems like a long time! He might then look for a new team. Possible, maybe. Strange. Pep's plans and plays continually change, so I never know what to anticipate from Manchester City. Easy Champions League draw?

Guardiola's main strength is that his bench team is very strong. Manchester City have a number of talented players on the bench. Due to this, Manchester City does not face much problem if any player in the squad is injured. Because they have qualified replacements. Other teams in the Premier League do not have this. The bond between Arsenal players is strong. Their squad is strong. But the bench players are not talented enough. And so when key players in the squad get injured, Arsenal's performance deteriorates. Without three key players in the team's midfield, it is absolutely commendable that Manchester City is performing the way it is. This team is performing quite well. Still their performance is stable.
Yes, that is Pep Guardiola skill in recruiting players where the players he has recruited have become an important layer for them when rotation is needed because his backup players are able to make a big contribution to close the gap when their core players are injured.

Alright, most likely this will also have a big impact on their might in the Champions League this season. I think Pep Guardiola also needs to anticipate quickly to immediately look for new players in this transfer window in order to maintain their chances when they face a busy schedule.
A club whose first 11 is doing well and playing excellent football must surely have a good second 11, which is the reserve squad.
If the first 11 which is the starting squad is good, that means there is a lot of competition in the team and the reserve squard would want to fight for some position and that will make them to be also as good as the starting squad. This way, the  manager will have many options to explore in every match they have. For you to be able to win title in every season you must have good defence and you must also have a good squad depth, especially when you're playing more than one or two competitions. You will need to relieve some players of fatigue and use some other players. But if you continuously use one set of players, they will get tired on the way.

Haaland is far more than an additional striking strength. When Haaland plays the other team has to dedicate defensive capabilities to stop him, which impacts the team as a whole. Having a really strong striker within your line-up is more impactful than just having this striker. An opponent is forced to think about it and come up with a match plan that includes this striker of course.

But the discussion whether De Bruyne is more important or Haaland, I think that also depends. There will be days when Haaland scores that one goal needed for the win and there have been days when De Bruyne scored it, like against Real Madrid in the Champions League. But one thing is for sure and that is De Bruyne's injury is among the worst issues that Manchester City could now have.

I'm not sure if this works with City this way, although for many other teams it would be 100% true. It seems to me that City are more dangerous with ball control + pressing than those who play in their attack. I think that the very idea of personal guardianship of individual players has long been outdated and no one uses it - everyone plays zone control. It doesn't matter if Haaland is in the line-up in separate City games or not, the opponent will play his own game formation.

I agree with most of this, but when you take the game one in the Champions League between Manchester City and Real Madrid as an example, it was obvious that Real Madrid paid specific attention to taking Haaland out of the game and they were highly efficiently doing that. Haaland was dead in the water that game. Though you are right that zone control is the way to go, but there is also some dual effect when it comes to taking out Haaland. You never want him to have too much space to enfold, so that is one way to take care of him. Keep the space small for him. The other way is to take out those players who assist him mostly and that is De Bruyne. By not letting De Bruyne get too much space to shoot precise cross balls, you kill two birds with one stone. I am looking forward to all the Champions League games as I think that this year Manchester City won't be as superior as they were last season. There is no hard evidence yet for that thesis to be backed up, but I feel like Real Madrid will play a lot stronger than last season.
