But I think that this quality has decreased quite a bit now for Manchester City since Gundogan and De Bruyne are out of their game. That is a really panful loss for them and compensating for two players of that calibre who in conjunction also organized the whole game and the midfield is impossible.

I don't know how Guardiola will go about this problem and whether they can fix it to a degree that they are as strong as last season. I believe that this season is going to be quite a bit tougher for them than last season.
Gundogan has moved to Barcelona, while Bernardo and De Bruyne have been injured. Manchester City's performance hasn't changed much without these three, but naturally it has an impact on the quality of their game. Manchester City is still a team capable of dominating their opponents in a match, so it's not a big case that needs to be resolved as soon as possible.

Did you watch the Manchester City vs Newcastle match just now? If so, you know if they have lost their best form or if they played badly without Silva, Gundogan and De Bruyne. I don't see anything negative, that's because the substitute also had a good performance in that game.

They are definitely not in the same shape they had when everyone was peaking and healthy towards the final phase of last season. Of course they are still the favorites and they can still deliver amazing performances. No doubt about that, but De Bruyne, Gundogan and Silva missing for a few games or even a very long time would weaken every team There has also been an amazing synergy between Gundogan and De Bruyne. They were the perfect complements as midfielders. But let's see if Manchester City can keep their dominance in the Champions League. I believe they will, but I also believe that they are better off with a healthy De Bruyne than without him.
If Kevin De Bruyne, Jhon Stones, Bernardo Silva have to be sidelined until September, the Man City squad will automatically not be strengthened by these three players in the Champions League Group Phase. I think the only option now for Pep Guardiola is to add to his squad in the remaining transfer window, Guardiloa said that the Club will take an important decision to deal with the current situation. I think this is an indication that City will recruit new players, and of course they will find their target players easy.

I predict Man City without the presence of these three players in the UCL will be a little different, because the competition demands experienced players and has a winning mentality like them.

Basically, last season AEK also won the title in the Greece Super League and what's more, AEK is still able to maintain a consistent performance until now. By having a great performance from last season, this time AEK also managed to qualify for the final in the Champions League qualifying round after beating Dinamo Zagreb.

In the next round, AEK will play against Antwerp and I think AEK still has a chance to win. Due to the fact, AEK also has a winning head to head record when AEK played against Antwerp. Although yes, that head to head record is only a friendly match. But at least, of course, AEK has had good preparation, so that at this moment AEK still has a good chance to beat Antwerp in a real match like this.

Haaland and De bruyne have excellent chemistry. De bruyne is an excellent midfielder . Apart from assisting scores, he is also capable of scoring. With De bruyne in the squad we see a better performance from Haaland. In the last few matches we don't see a better performance from Haaland.
Manchester city's performance is still somewhat erratic. The main reason for this is that their midfield key players are not in the squad. Because of this guardiola has to change his match strategy. Gundagon, De bruyne and bernardo silva were Manchester city's mainstays last season. Silva and De Bruyne have been absent this season due to injuries and Gundagon has left the team. With Silva and De Bruyne in the squad, City's performance is likely to be more stable.

These two players have a central role in the strategy that Pep implements with his system. that's why, these two players have very good chemistry. but recently, Pep has developed another strategy IMO. now, every player is more involved when it comes to scoring goals, City is not just relying on Haaland and De Bruyne. we can even refer to the crucial match in the champions league last season, how City faced strong teams like against Madrid and Bayern.

At the beginning of this season City had a little problem with several of its players, De Buryne was hit by an injury, Bernardo Silva also had to be absent in the last two matches played by City. apart from that, Pep did not apply his flagship formation pattern. the departure of Gundohan, Mahrez, made Pep choose another option. that's why, it looks like City has decreased in performance. Naturally, because some of the players had to be absent in several matches. maybe, if Bernardo Silva, Stones, has been confirmed fit. Pep can implement the system the way he wants. after all the Champions League competition still has a time lag before it rolls out, Pep can give their young players the opportunity to grow even more. what is certain, in this competition City remains one of the favorite teams.

despite losing the figure of the captain who led in midfield with KDB and currently kdb is suffering from an injury long enough to return with the main squad, but there is a replacement figure in his position the captain of man city at the moment he is phil foden proven by 2 appearances in epl able to play a very good role in the midfield with mateo kovavic and rodri, I'm pretty sure by looking at the current manchester city midfield even though without kdb they will perform well because the main squad with their second squad have very good skills and mentality. so it's no wonder that Man City is predicted to win the UCL again in 2023/2024.

Guardiola's main strength is that his bench team is very strong. Manchester City have a number of talented players on the bench. Due to this, Manchester City does not face much problem if any player in the squad is injured. Because they have qualified replacements. Other teams in the Premier League do not have this. The bond between Arsenal players is strong. Their squad is strong. But the bench players are not talented enough. And so when key players in the squad get injured, Arsenal's performance deteriorates. Without three key players in the team's midfield, it is absolutely commendable that Manchester City is performing the way it is. This team is performing quite well. Still their performance is stable.
This is one of the advantages of Pep which is that he is not only good at managing the first team but the reserve team that he takes care of also all have great talent although indeed in this case money also determines but he is one of the coaches with good advantages in team management.

So that when one of the core players is injured, it even has an impact but does not give too much concern because they can make several backup schemes with several existing reserve players. Their core and reserve players are not too far apart in terms of quality differences so that with conditions like this there is no imbalance for the players and formations they have.

Sometimes football is a beautiful thing. I know that there are moments when we see like a 0-0 tie and it is boring and all that, but sometimes we end up seeing teams make huge comebacks like this and they end up with a lot better returns. I think it is going to matter a lot when the time comes and we are going to end up seeing AEK do a lot better. I think the UCL this season will be a bit different, it is not the period of "league" structure just yet, but it is looking like there are a lot more teams and a lot more fight in those teams.

We normally do not see this many teams play this well, we see some few big names that play well, and the rest are there just for the show and the money and nothing more, but we are seeing a lot more talent equally distributed this year.
Not only is it beautiful, but soccer is something that will intrigue, and also something that always presents many surprises that in the end we can't believe what we see.
I've seen a lot of that, and I'm sure you will too, as I've seen a lot of beauty, curiosity and surprise all wrapped up into one.
The start of this season will be one where we'll see it all again, be it in the domestic league or here in the Champions League. I honestly can't wait to see them play in the group stages and compete against each other to be the best this season.

Oh yes, it's now Manchester City who are the reigning champions, and there's still a lot of people saying that maybe they'll be able to keep it up.
But before everything starts fully, I still want to refrain from analyzing too early.

Looking at the playoff round, the toughest draws are Rangers-PSV and Braga-Panathinaikos.

The difficult matches to predict. I would like to take PSV and braga rather than ranges - panathinaikos. It appears to me that these clubs have a slightly greater probability of winning the upcoming match.

I would like to see PSV and Panathinaikos rather than Ranges - Braga at UEFA Champions League group stage. As you said, unpredictable matches. Other teams that I would rather to see in the UEFA Champions League group stage are; Galatasaray, Maccabi Haifa, Rakow Czestochowa and AEK Athens. I hope they don't get eliminated in the play-off round.

Yes, that is Pep Guardiola skill in recruiting players where the players he has recruited have become an important layer for them when rotation is needed because his backup players are able to make a big contribution to close the gap when their core players are injured.

Alright, most likely this will also have a big impact on their might in the Champions League this season. I think Pep Guardiola also needs to anticipate quickly to immediately look for new players in this transfer window in order to maintain their chances when they face a busy schedule.
The depth of squad that Guardiola has is very capable, the core players with reserve players have almost the same quality. He also still has adequate stock of players in the midfield position, in my opinion he will rely on players who are already in his squad rather than having to look for other players.

De Bruyne injury is certainly not good news for Manchester City, but Guardiola has anticipated the vacancy in the position De Bruyne usually occupies with the players he currently has. De Bruyne departure is only temporary, he will return soon when his condition is ready to play 100%. Currently Guardiola will try to close the hole left by De Bruyne by rotating players in order to maintain the balance of the team's appearance.

The next champions league qualification schedule and this is the first leg. As we can see, there are several strong teams that are usually subscribed to as champions league participants and this will be a decisive match for all of them to move on to the next round. From these 6 matches I chose Athens, Copenhagen, PSV, Haifa, Galatasaray and Braga who will win the match in the first leg and I am also confident enough to place bets on these teams later. Do you have any other predictions about the results of the first leg later? Or do you have your own favorite team?

AEK/Rakow/PSV are my picks for tomorrow.

Greece football is finally back and AEK is looking strong and ready to make another presence checked into UCL groups.

Rakow is a team who is constantly improving for 3 years already so nothing unusual here.

PSV ...oh this team missed international performance for quite a while now so I do have faith they will qualify instead of Rangers.

If you pay attention to his performance in the transfer window you can see even after Manchester City lost some players like İlkay Gündoğan to Barcelona and some other teams, still, Pep Guardiola hired younger and better talents to have a better future and investment in Manchester City which can be better than keeping older players however Manchester City won't have enough experience like the last season which can be a bit risky for Guardiola to use these younger players for the great matches.

It is true that in important matches such as the semifinals or the Champions League final last season, Erling Haaland seemed to disappear on the field and his role as the pillar of the team at that time was immediately replaced by other Manchester City players who had freer opportunities to score goals. I don't think it's a problem as long as the team can use every player available and actually I'm quite annoyed because Pep Guardiola very rarely changes his players in the second half. So when they should have had the opportunity to score goals through supersub players, they still relied on the players who were there from the early minutes.
It's not a problem at all because before Haaland came to City they had won the Premier League by more points than last season and despite Liverpool being only one point behind, their title looked undeniable. Haaland is an option (very cool option) but I think he is much less important than the KDB, so I'm looking forward to a more competitive season this time around.
Kevin de Bruyne has a great understanding with Haaland. This attacking player plays brilliantly for the team. However, in his absence, Haaland will face some problems, which will weaken the team's attack.
Without a doubt, both players look very good in their ability to collaborate on the pitch, understanding each other's moves and strategies. Effective cooperation between De Bruyne and Haaland is very important in a team context, especially in attack. However, when Kevin de Bruyne is not present in the team, it can have a negative impact on Haaland's performance and the team's overall attack. De Bruyne's absence may mean that Haaland will have to adapt to new players in midfield or midfielders who may not have the same level of understanding as him. This can disrupt the rhythm of play and coordination between Haaland and his colleagues.

The AEK - Dinamo Zagreb rematch was really incredible. What an insane comeback by AEK in the stoppage time! They scored two goals in this time period. Moreover in the last moments they missed a penalty but Vida was there to score and bring the next round to his team. 4-3 on aggregate and a big victory for AEK at the end.

Now AEK's next opponent is Antwerp. For the first match Antwerp are seen like the favourite side according to bookies. But I don't think it will be that easy for Antwerp even though they are the home side. I think AEK have the potential to get a draw or even a win maybe. They played against each other 2 times in the past and they resulted in decent wins for AEK. I'm favouring them to advance to the group stage here as well.

Football is a sport with many surprises, I guess that's why we are passionate about football. Last night, football had a surprise again. I did not expect to be eliminated Dinamo Zagreb by AEK. Congrats to AEK. AEK will face Royal Antwerp play-off round. I think both teams have equal chances.
That's sad to see that how zagreb's fans already banned by UEFA from seieng UEFA competition. It susprises me how zagreb was losing against AEK and i do agree with you if anything can happen in the football.
That remains me how some strong clubs that's familiar to me were loosing against unfamiliar clubs.

If we consider a striker in the squad with the equation that he must score goals, we are wrong. A striker not only scores goals but also tries to create goals with his team mates but also a striker makes an impact in a match which causes the team to do well. Many times it is seen that the opponent plans with only one main striker which gives the rest of the players a chance to do well in that match. When the opponent's target is only on one main striker, that main striker tries to score with other players instead of scoring, thereby allowing other players to score.

Haaland is an all-time regular for Manchester City and I don't think Pep Guardiola will ever consider Manchester City starting XI without him. When Haaland is included in the starting XI, the opposing manager will have extra plans for him which will give the rest of the players a chance to perform well in the match.
True, Halaand is not only tasked with scoring goals but creating spaces and assists. Pep knows his opponents very well, and when Halaand doesn't get a creative opportunity due to tight marking then the rest of the squad will do the job as they are evenly matched in squad depth.

The match against Newcastle in the second week will prove the depth of Man City squad, several key players are currently injured. This is the perfect time for a back-up to show similar qualities on Pep.
The players on whose performance the success or failure of the team depends are currently suffering from injury. Kevin De Bruyne has been sidelined for a long time with injury and Bernardo Silva is set to miss the Premier League game against Newcastle with a recent injury. The change of the players' team, multiple injuries, all together, the start of the Premier League is not good for Manchester City. Due to player changes and multiple injuries, Manchester City boss Gardiwala offered €100 million to bring Lucas Paquetá to the team, but Manchester City rejected the €100 million offer from Lucas Paquetá's current club West Ham. If Manchester City could complete the deal with Lucas Paquetá, Manchester City's midfield and attack would be a little more accelerated.
I will also agree if Man City will sign Lucas Paqueta and what I know is that this player has very good quality performance for the midfield but unfortunately there is no certainty from West Ham whether to sell this player or not considering that the transfer market is very close to closing so if Man City really wants to recruit this player, they must act quickly.

Man City performance this season has been a little inconsistent even though its just the start of the season but this worries the fans because the performance shown by several City players is very much different from last season and the decline in this performance is very clear that against teams that are not so strong are unable to score even more.
it seems that Guardiola has to be a little tough on his players otherwise they will only appear inconsistent until the end of the season even though Guardiola wants to get another title in the UCL.
