Its can't stop Manchester City for defense their Champion League tittle for next season although leaving by Gundogan, still have Kevin De Bruyne and actually Haaland its the most important player for Manchester City won treble last season.
Man City have complete players. Core and reserve players alike have abilities not much different. Gundogan's departure is not a difficult matter. Pep Guardiola has chosen Mateo Kovacic to replace Ilkay Gundogan. I don't think it will be too difficult for Man City to stay in the UCL. Mateo is worth €30m with €25m paid directly and the remaining €5m spent as bonuses later by Manchester City. This bonus is issued if later Mateo can get a trophy.

Yes, of course, Gundogan's departure will not weaken Manchester City because of course, with the departure of a key player, Pep Guardiola will try hard to keep his squad performing well. So yes, Manchester City next season will certainly still have a great chance to be able to go as far as possible to reach the final. But, whether Manchester City can defend the title, I don't think that can be completely confirmed.

Manchester City's losing Gundogan is of course not good as he was their captain at the same time. However this isn't the end of the world for them either. I don't expect this news to affect their Champions League performance much next time. Besides Manchester City are one of the most influential teams in Europe right now.

I wouldn't really call Gundogan leaving the club for Barcelona an actual loss. Although he was a great asset as well as being the one to captain the team, I'm sure Manchester city would fare well without him on the squad. They've got really capable players that would comfortably fill his role on the pitch.

As for the captain role, there are competent players that could lead the team to success in any game. I think Kevin De Bruyne could be a good captain to the lads. His presence on the pitch, in my opinion, motivates other players and aides that, he plays good football as well.
I very well doubt Gundogan leaving the club would affect in a negative way, their champions league race.

Tre Penne V Breiðablik In the match Breiðablik were in great form with Breiðablik winning 1-7. Breiðablik performed well in the semi-final match and due to their good attack they won and secured the final. Tre Penne did not perform very well due to which they were knocked out of the semi-final. Breiðablik scored many goals when Breiðablik attacked enough and scored a lot of goals. They were under a lot of pressure then. Tre Penne did not perform well under the pressure of so many goals and they had to leave the field with a loss. Breiðablik secured the final match with FK Budućnost Podgorica with a great win in the match. It is difficult to say which team will win this match but surely there will be enough fight between the two teams.

But whatever it is, I'm sure Pep Guardiola will bring Manchester City to win the UCL again next season, I believe he will bring in really quality players for Manchester City before the transfer window closes, but with the players already in their team, their squad is more than enough. to compete in the next season both in the domestic league and European championships such as the UCL.  Cheesy
Being champions next season in the Champions League, of course they will try to be maintained but the competition and difficulty is certainly different from next season.
Last season a crucial time for Manchester City to be able to advance to the final was to defeat Real Madrid, and this season Real Madrid is the same as City who buy some players to strengthen their squad, and also other clubs also do the same thing so they can achieve better in the Champions League next season.
So City will get a bigger challenge this season, and so far not many clubs can become champions in a row, Real Madrid is able to do it but most other clubs are only one season and require a few seasons to repeat these achievements even sometimes more than one decade so that the end becomes the champion, but City will remain favorites and they are a new force in this tournament after becoming champions for the first time.

He has plans to buy Rice but the funds that West Ham is asking for is too much. I believe they might both be on the same page or Gaudiola will go for someone else.
The price West Ham have demanded is fair enough for them since the player they are about to sell is one of their best players who helped them last season win a title after so many years of waiting. Manchester City will abandon the deal not because they cannot afford to pay the fee but because they do not value him that much. Manchester City already have a lot of quality players in their midfield, Declan Rice is not a priority for them so they will refuse to pay the demanded fee. Arsenal really needs him, it is why they are still pushing to secure the move.
not because Man City can't afford Declan Rice but with the price offered by West Ham this really doesn't make sense for Man City because if you have to spend a lot of money for Declan Rice it would be better to bring in more talented players who have better performance like Kane or Mbappe is much better.
judging by the performance last season, Declan Rice wasn't that good for me.
on the other hand, the reason Man City canceled the contract with Declan Rice was that Man City's defense was good enough, it just needed 1 or 2 players to be replaced, but not Declan Rice.

Before window transfer is close, Manchester City has many chance for signing new player actually supported with much money and easy for Pep Guardiola filling hole position leaving by Gundogan and try to defend Champion League tittle for next season.
Money is one of the factors why Manchester City is quite successful in the transfer market but that's not the only factor, another factor that makes them successful in bringing in players and these players being successful in developing at City is the foresight of the manager to assess players who can really a mainstay in their squad, after several key players were about to leave City they were able to quickly replace the vacated spot with players who were younger and also of the same quality.
Manchester City doesn't seem to want to let go of any title they won last season, so with big money they are trying to achieve their target later.
I'm sure Guardiola will buy players that are really needed to make Manchester City able to fill the void in the squad team even better next season, that's why he's not too hasty to take players not as easy as imagined, of course it needs careful calculation that the players bought are correct really can contribute to manchester city.

Cheesy

Agreed, Manchester City does have complete players and all of them can be relied on because they are able to play well in their respective positions.
The reserve players with the core players owned by Manchester City only have a very small difference, even if there are core players replaced by the reserves they can play well and even issue a more significant performance.
The departure of Ilkay Gundogan was not difficult for Manchester City and it is true what you said that Manchester City already has a replacement for the departure of Ilkay Gundogan.
Hopefully next season Manchester City can win at least two trophies or three trophies at once like this season.

Kovacic might have been on Guardiola's wish list for a while or maybe otherwise they would have tried harder to convince Gudogan of staying in Manchester City. But while there are similarities between the two players, there are also some differences I think. For example, I would say that Kovacic plays harder, a more physical style in his defensive part of the game and he is definitely not as dangerous in and around the opponent's box. Gundogan has turned into a hidden striker in the most important games of the season. But Kovacic could be stronger in his defensive game and especially in the air with his head (for what it's worth).
Pep Guardiola is unable to stop IIkay Gundogan from leaving the Etihad Stadium, even though the squad and fans will miss him. He's the ideal midfield partner for Kelvin De Bruyne; he chose Barcelona over City; let him go and write a new chapter in his career. Pep signed Kovacic from Chelsea, a good defensive midfielder capable of making strong runs and creating chances for goal scoringopportunities. He will fit right in with Pep Guardiola's game plan; after all, the Croatian has been in the Premier League for years and knows exactly how everything works.

Let's see how quickly Kovacic manages to secure his spot in the Manchester City team, but if I remember correctly even Jack Grealish needed some time to find his place and play on a regular basis. Guardiola's standards are really high and hard to meet and unless Kovacic has the perfect start, I think it will take some time for him as well. But this transfer also doesn't mean that it was the last one so far. There might be more to come.

I'm starting to suspect that Manchester City might be benefiting financially from other clubs through their high valuations of players, without actually following through with the purchases. This suspicion applies to players like Cucurella and Declan Rice. As for Gvardiol, it's unfortunate that there doesn't seem to be any public interest from other teams in acquiring him despite his recent valuation.

Manchester city success is first because of money. No club develops from an average to a top class club without money. Money to buy quality players, money to hire a high profile coach. The success of Manchester City cannot be narrated without mentioning Guardiola. Assuming Manchester City had the money to spend and did not get the right manager, it would still be a problem for them.

Last season, Newcastle entered the journey of being a prominent club and we have seen the success do far. If they continue with this pace. In the next few seasons they will be great.
Money can change anything within the twinkle of an hour. Money reformed Manchester city and they were lucky, that they invested the money properly by getting a coach like Pep Gaudiola who is an experience and a quality coach to manage the club. Manchester city has changed greatly and are outstanding in England.

Gaudiola has a quality taste for players and he knows the right player to buy at the right time to replace the outgoing one. He has plans to buy Rice but the funds that West Ham is asking for is too much. I believe they might both be on the same page or Gaudiola will go for someone else.

I'm sure they have a lot of options to put in the midfield. They can evaluate one of them and make up for Gundogan's absence. As for the team captain, I think it is no longer as important as it used to be. İlkay leaves, someone else becomes captain and Manchester City continues to win, I don't think anything will change.
Indeed, there are many stock players that Pep Guardiola can rely on in the midfield. However, Pep Guardiola believes that Gundogan departure is a loophole that must be fixed immediately by bringing in other players. That was evident after Kovacic was brought in where he would be the player to close the gap left by Gundogan.

Manchester city is a big team and they don't depend on one player. That's because there are many players who have better quality so that it will make it easier for Pep Guardiola to build a squad without losing balance after Gundogan leaves.

Pep is a coach who thinks a lot about his opponents and his team and creates a team that can dominate the opponent and achieve victory in any situation.
He thoroughly prepares each game and talks a lot with his players, explaining to them all possible situations in the game and how they should react. No coach prepares as thoroughly for games as he does.
Pep demands a lot from his players, above all pressing and ball possession, and for such a game his players must be fully physically and mentally prepared.
Gundogan was a very important player for such a Manchester City game, but apparently Pep has already found a replacement for him in Kovacic.
Manchester City will be the main favorite to win the Champions League this season as well.

The way  Pep Guardiola manages is players is  different from how other coach work with their players. Pep Guardiola gives his players football education and good analysis of football and all this things works for the player's, that is why Pep Guardiola boys are always different from others. Pep Guardiola don't just educate them how they should play but he makes his players to  understand how  to penetrate and break through other teams to gain victory, Pep Guardiola is a great coach.

Gundogan leaving Manchester City is not a problem for Pep Guardiola,  Pep Guardiola knows how to replace every important player leaving the team. Gundogan departure won't affect the performance of Manchester City next  season, Pep Guardiola has already sort out a good player that will fill the space of Gundogan.
With Pep Guardiola i still expect Manchester City to do great in their performance just like they did in the previous season .

Gundogan's departure will certainly leave a hole that must be filled by Manchester City and because of that they have succeeded in bringing in a suitable replacement from Chelsea, namely Mateo Kovacic. We know that Kovacic has a lot of experience in the Champions League when he was with Real Madrid he managed to win the Champions League title with a hat trick and with Chelsea he also won 1 additional Champions League title which made him win a total of 4 trophies for this competition. There was no doubt for Pep Guardiola to put Kovacic as a replacement for Gundogan and even in Manchester City Kovacic received the number 8 jersey which was previously worn by Gundogan.

Pep began to determine his transfer steps by bringing in Gvardiol and this player was heavily targeted by several clubs last winter, but Gvardiol chose to stay until now before finally now he is starting to get closer to Manchester City after reaching an agreement. I think it's quite a good portion that Pep has added to the Manchester City squad in the Champions League next season and for sure they want to defend this title.
Manchester City have filled hole by Gundogan departure to Barcelona by Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovačić, its not doubt Kovačić is not the same level with Gundogan but Manchester City still on fighting race with Arsenal for signing Declan Rice. Manchester City unable to make Gundogan stay one or two season later after his contract expiring and seems he want try challenge in La Liga after his achievement in Primer League winning domestic league tittle, FA Cup and Champion League.

It must be feeling great for Manchester City to find Gundogan's replacement right away. Kovacic would be a great alternative to him I think. He has been an important player for Chelsea for many years hence I don't even know why they were okay to let him go just like that. They are in a rebuild phase maybe but Kovacic shouldn't have been one of the players to be wasted easily. Thanks to this cheap transfer (29m euros) Manchester City can comfortably allocate more money for their other targets.

Gvardiol is indeed about to be Manchester City player. 100 million euros is the price Leipzig have for him. As Manchester City made their first offer as 90 million I guess he would join them soon.

It didn't take long for Manchester City to find a replacement for Gundogan, Kovacic having been officially announced as part of their squad after signing a four year contract. Losing Gundogan will not affect Manchester City appearance next season, there are still many other talented players that Guardiola can rely on in all fronts.
Manchester City has been formed as a strong team and the players already understand each other very well, the depth of Manchester City will continue to increase along with the arrival of new players. Guardiola is not satisfied with the treble winner won last season, he will lead Manchester City to repeat success in the following season.
I think losing Gundongan will give a big effect for Manchester City because Gundongan is like a shadow striker in Manchester City. If Haaland not have a good moment to shot, usually Gundongan will try to shot in long distance. Kovacic is good but he's better in defensive play style, similar like Rodri.

Manchester City need to find a good right winger ASAP because there's no one replace Mahrez if he's under perform. Grealish was replace Foden's position in the last season due to Foden under performance.
