Napoli are lucky that the Victor Osimhen in the just finish African cup that missed many good chances is not the same Victor Osimhen in Napoli who scores with the slightest opportunity. His goal stole the joy away from Barcelona.
Napoli are really really lucky that the Victor Osimhen stay in this broken team.
This poor guy is sacrificing himself in a mediocre team now that doesn`t support him at all and he has to do practically everything alone.
I hope he leaves as soon as possible, I want to see someone like him score many goals again.

seeing Victor Osimhem fate is  truly regretful as if he sacrificed himself. If only Osimhen had the courage to get out of there maybe he would be a little better and get something more. He needs to explore the Premier League and La Liga while the level of interest in him is still significant  this season. at Napoli it has not really developed and continues to be the club's hope. plus Napoli took the surprising decision  to fire a coach  who had not managed the club  for  a full season. I don't know  what the club officials were  thinking when the financial situation  got worse but they still tried to make the situation worse. without Osimhen contribution perhaps Napoli would not have been able to reach this far in the UCL.

Napoli BArcelona was a game were nobody knows what can happen , the current situation of both teams is pretty bad, so a draw is a fair output for both, i think Barcelona is gonna end going into quarterfinals, but we also can expect some surprise, BArcelona in the recent years is not a team to trust in the european competitions.
Both of them were champions in the domestic league last season, Napoli in the Italian league and Barcelona in Laliga last season both became champions at that time, but this season both of them are also very down and their performance has decreased like never before so that the match between the two is easy to predict that the result will definitely be a draw because both have the same strength so it is not difficult to guess, Napoli and Barcelona showed their best game last night, the result was a draw.

Playing at Napoli's home ground, they should have been able to take advantage of the situation and win last night's match, but Napoli wasn't strong enough to beat Barcelona, who actually haven't had a good performance lately, but I believe Napoli played well last night, they were left behind and Napoli were finally able to balance the game. and make the score 1 - 1, this draw will certainly be capital for the match in the second leg at home to Barcelona. Of course Barcelona will definitely play better because they are playing at home. Napoli must be careful in the second leg match
The match is considered the most evenly matched. Napoli and Barca started with a rather boring scenario. Because both the defending champion Serie A and the defending champion La Liga had a pretty bad season in the domestic tournament. Napoli has just its third coach this season, And, like Barcelona in La Liga, the ability to defend the domestic championship is almost gone.
Although they attacked a lot, Barca lacked precision in the final situations, so they did not win. Young talent Lamine Yamal is the most prominent player in Barca's attack, as he constantly stirs up trouble on the wing. With the away goals rule no longer applicable, the only advantage for Barcelona is the return leg at home. Xavi's students must rediscover their killer instinct to appear for the 14th consecutive time in the Champions League quarter-finals.

About Porto Arsenal..... i cant believe how Arsenal manage to always make a mess.

Yes, I agree, 1-1 is a fair result, even though both teams are currently not good, Napoli with their new coach has shown improved performance, in the second leg they could give a surprise by eliminating Barcelona.
Yes, everyone hoped that Arsenal could finish off Porto at home, but what happened was that Porto gave them a surprise with a 1-0 win, but in my opinion Arsenal were just unlucky, with 65% possession of the ball, Arsenal should have been able to do it. able to beat Porto, but unfortunately the finish ended badly. only took 7 shots on goal without taking a single shot towards the opponent's goal. This could be homework for Arteta in the second leg.
and in the second leg I think Arsenal can recover the situation.

Even if Arsenal lost , I do think they have chances to qualify further. We also have a very nice statistics in last year of UCL because whoever eliminated Porto in last years , that team managed to reach finals and some of them even won it ( Bayern , Real ) and last year we had Inter who played the final after beating Porto....so ...if Arsenal qualify further , we should see them playing finals and might even win it.
I can see it that last season Porto was eliminated by Inter Milan at round of 16 and Inter Milan can achieve to the final match but they were defeated Manchester City and failed to be the champion but i don't think the satistics will be similar just like Inter Milan journey because Arsenal is different compared to Inter Milan and just like i said previously that Arsenal was performing badly because they were unable to broke the defense of Porto and even Arsenal have to lost focus at the end of second half which make they have to lost

About second leg indeed Arsenal still have any chances to fliped the situation and beat Porto with 2 goals margin or more because during group stages Arsenal records was very fantastic at home and from 3 home matches in champion league Arsenal has gets 3 wins with scores 12 goals and still cleansheet so from these records we can see Arsenal has good opportunities to qualified to quarterfinal but i think it won't be easy because i am sure Porto will be used similar strategy just like yesterday that they will attempts to let Arsenal playing more attacking and will taking chances to scored from counter attack style besides that i think Arsenal should beware of Galeno because he was able to make Arsenal defensive players get in trouble yesterday

The result obtained by Barcelona against Napoli was a satisfactory result, even though the result was a draw, at least in the second leg, Barcelona could take advantage of this memory to create lots of goals, because Barcelona will be playing at home which will encourage many of their supporters to increase their enthusiasm for the match, at least winning 1 -0 has ensured that Barcelona will progress to the next round but if the result is a draw with a score of 0-0 then it is certain that Barcelona will not advance to the top 8, instead Napoli will advance even though Barcelona will have a busy schedule at least they can save their stamina when the second leg takes place. ..

Barcelona vs Napoli
Here we go, guys. The Round of 16 first leg between Barcelona and Napoli resulted in a 1-1 draw. Barcelona is dominating the game with possession as well as shots on target. If we look at the status of the match, Barcelona has attempted 12 shots while Napoli has only 6.

Besides that, from this match if Barcelona are looking good. They're doing well after the Xavi announcement about leaving the club. And if they are continuing their best performance, possibly they could win the UEFA Champions league. This is their first leg come to 1-1, but let's see what will happen in the second leg. Share your opinion with us, guys.

Victor is a hero, a true professional.
He works hard, complains little and endures. I admire this guy very much.
Regarding Xavi, I am sorry, but in the end with all the money they spent, after 2 years, he couldnt convince at all. It is right that he goes, lets say that if we consider the two years his performance was disappointing.

Even though Arsenal really dominated the game, what's the point if they can't win and never even endanger Porto's goal? Porto, who took advantage of Arsenal's defensive line, managed to break into their goal in the 90+4 minute and it was all thanks to Galeno's foresight who scored the only winning goal for Porto. Of course, in the second leg, Arsenal will be even more under pressure even though they are playing as hosts and on the other hand, Porto will be more confident in being able to get rid of Arsenal with this aggregate advantage.
There was no point in dominating the game because it was the goal that decided the points so Porto were very fortunate to score at the end and this really hurt Arsenal as they were hoping to hold on for a draw but they couldn't anticipate it properly.

Although this is not a crushing defeat, the chances at Emirates Stadium are still very big, whatever their game will definitely be more attacking than defending because the only way to win, on the other hand my prediction is that Porto will still rely on defense and take advantage of counterattacks because it is certain that Arsenal will master the whole game.
Yeah you are right because what count points is goal that what favour Porto, Arsenal played very well and I was impressed with their ball possession but that alone doesn't determine the winner but still I have hope for Arsenal to win, the both teams are in third place in there home league but still the performance can not be rated the same because Arsenal have all it takes to win especially when they will be the one to host. Arsenal really need to make it through because since 2009/10 that arsenal make it to quarter-finals they are still suffering after that and also were relegated from champions league and this is Mikel Arteta first appearance in Champions league which he need to work it out to succeed.

Porto vs Arsenal 1-0. Arsenal as a whole dominated the game but Porto's very strong defense made it difficult for Arsenal to score goals.
And Porto's 1 goal in the remaining extra time scored by Galeno in the 90+4 minute was a painful goal for Arsenal.

I am quite disappointed with the outcome of Arsenal's against Porto; Despite dominated the game, Arsenal lost the match. Though Porto had two short on target, Arsenal did not have any;  Arsenal performance was very good, but they were unable to score goals because of Porto strong defenses. I did not expect Arsenal to lose, if they did not win, the game would end in a draw. Since Porto is already leading by one goal and  they might play a more defensive game in the second leg, I think Arteta needs to change the information for the second meet. Because If they play this way, I don't think they will go to the next round.

Quote

Napoli vs Barcelona 1-1 and Barcelona's goal was scored by Lewandowski in the 60th minute, and Napoli's goal was scored by Osimhen in the 75th minute.

Since both clubs have had poor performances this season and have lost to a weak teams, we already know how bad they have performed in their leagues. However, I did not expect any of them to win; instead, the match ended in a draw as i expected. Barcelona could have won yesterday, but unfortunately, Osimhen breaks through their defenses to equalized. I believe one of them will qualify in their second leg through penalty shootout.

Most likely Porto will use a defensive strategy and target a draw at the Emirates, Arsenal will have difficulty beating Porto even though the goal margin is only 1-0. On paper Arsenal chances were very good, but when they dominated the match and created chances, no one could convert them into goals. Porto would really benefit if Arsenal still played with the same style, they also wanted to qualify for the quarter finals and Arsenal failed to anticipate their style of play.

Arteta seemed very disappointed with the results his team got. It was reported that Arteta criticized his squad and Porto playing style as a result of this defeat. Dominating the match will not always result in victory, Arteta had to change his strategy in the second round. There is no point in criticizing Porto playing style, it will not change the situation at all, the most important thing going forward is how to turn things around. Arsenal chance of winning at the Emirates is quite big, but Porto cannot be underestimated a second time.

Arsenal can never be trusted, when football fans expectations of them are high, the Artera squad suffered defeat.  Reminiscent of their previous group stage defeat to Lens, Arsenal consistency was broken at a time when they were in their best form.  However, there is still hope to turn things around, their chance to qualify for the quarter finals is still open, whether the Emirates will celebrate or mourn is the responsibility of Arteta and his troops.
What FC Porto did to Arsenal in the round of 16 in the UEFA champions league yesterday, really shocked their fans and it really make people to lose hope on Arsenal to lift this trophy because, their coach make use of all their strong players but the game ended up 1:0 for the favour of FC Porto.

Arsenal strikers missed many goals in that game that would have allow the game to end for the favour of Arsenal but they missed used their opportunity for their opponent to take the glory of the game, but there is still chance for Arsenal to correct the mistakes in their next games, if their coach can advise his players not to play selfish game.
When you say Arsenal missed several goal scoring chances, I just laugh. Arsenal did not have a single shot on target in the entire game. Yes they dominated possession but possession with goals is equal to nothing. Maybe Arsenal are willing to trade the champions league in place of the premier league. But I don't think that's a good strategy to go with. Because am still wondering why a team that has scored 11 goals in two games were unable to register a single shot on target in that game. It doesn't make any sense to me at all.

I agree with this very much. Napoli were a big mess against Barcelona. Barcelona's dominance could have ended up with a really bad loss as well so Napoli should be thankful for not conceding more goals. I'm just not surprised with the weakness in their defense. I'm actually surprised with their attacking performance which was horrible.  Sad

After what I have seen I think Barcelona will eliminate Napoli by winning the second leg in regular time. Barcelona are still playing their home games at a different stadium maybe but I don't think it will matter against a this weak Napoli. I hope Osimhen leaves Napoli at the earliest opportunity and saves himself.  Roll Eyes

There was no winner in the Napoli-Barcelona match.Napoli managed to draw with a terrible game at home.Barcelona has the potential to beat Napoli, but it seems that things are not going well for them either. At least it's a good enough result for Barcelona. They will win the next match at home and go through.
I didn't expect Arsenal to lose.I thought the match was very unpleasant because only 2 of the shots taken by both teams during the 90 minutes were accurate, one of which was a goal in the last minute.Arsenal, despite playing well, couldn't be very effective in front of goal against Porto and left with a goal in the last minute.Arsenal will have to show an extra performance at home now.
Napoli seems to have the potential to suffer defeat in the second leg at home to Barcelona. Because after all, Barcelona has also shown that they are capable of dominating the first leg yesterday. And it can be predicted that Barcelona will get better when playing at their own home. Meanwhile, it will be increasingly difficult for Napoli to face Barcelona in the second leg.

Arsenal's defeat by Porto was very unexpected. but yes, there is still a second leg that Arsenal can hope to turn things around.
Napoli have lost their potential this season after becoming champions. They are playing a football game that is far away from the football they played in that season when they were champions and we can see it very easily in the league.I can say that it is a miracle for them that they drew 1-1 against Barcelona in this match. They didn't do much during the match but at least they had a chance again for the round.Barcelona will most probably defeat Napoli at home and will pass the round.Although Napoli got a draw here, I don't think they have any chance on the road.
As for Arsenal, I don't think anyone really expected them to lose in this match. They have a good squad and the Portuguese teams haven't performed well so far but they have experience.I expect Arsenal to win at home and go through.
Barcelona played better than Napoli yesterday. Barcelona had six shots on goal but managed to score one goal against Napoli. With the way Napoli performed against Barcelona, I don't think Napoli can win against Barcelona at Camp Nou. When Barcelona and Napoli play the second leg, I see Barcelona knocking out Napoli from the Uefa Champions League round of 16.

Barcelona cannot beat Napoli in this champion league; their performance is not deserving of praise; we previously stated that we should examine how poorly Barcelona has performed in the Liga this season; the players do not have the confidence to win against any team; yes, they played at Napoli home yesterday and scored the first goal, so I will say that they gave it their best shot; however, Napoli also takes the match very seriously, to the point where they would prefer a draw.

The next second leg match will take place at home for Barcelona. Since I don't think Barcelona will win they haven't been trustworthy this season, I won't suggest anyone bet on a Barcelona game because they are a team that can give someone a heart attack. I'm not a fan of Barcelona, but when a big, well-known team doesn't perform well, I used to think they weren't serious.
From the start, didn't we realize that these two teams were at the same level? So even if there is no winner in the Napoli vs Barcelona match then a draw is the right answer and that is the best result for these two teams. There is nothing we can expect from the performance of these two teams because everything is so bad that no one is more dominant or the lucky winner.

It's very boring when the round of 16 of the Champions League features two big teams like Napoli and Barcelona, both of which still hold the title of defending champion in their respective leagues, but with such a significant decline in performance, it's like we're just watching two mediocre teams competing. If they met in the Champions League last season it would certainly be more interesting because both of them were at their peak performance. I think betting on this match is just like taking a risk and we definitely can't predict the result. I think even if the second leg results are still a draw, it's likely that the decision will be a penalty shootout.

I wouldn't say Arsenal lost because of inexperience but lack of coordination and Arteta is to blame for all that happened in that game, what stops him from changing a player (Havertz) who isn't in the game and what is Raya still doing as the first choice goalkeeper in the Arsenal squad? Arteta used his own hands to kill the good form of Ramsdale and whenever he's in the goalpost he makes careless errors which is unlike him and I believe if he (Ramsdale) plays like 2-3 games the form would come back and even better.
Arteta is waiting for that moment when Raya will cause a great blunder on the goalpost like in the final of any game that's when he'll think of letting him seat on the bench, I still don't see this goalkeeper as a better choice for Arsenal and the annoying part is that Raya is on loan from Brentford, is so painful and I feel for the England shot stopper Ramsdale. Let's see if the Gunners can turn the game around in the second leg at the Emirates stadium.
I think arsenal lost that match because they underestimated the Porto team and forgot how coordinated the Porto defence have been this season. I think the arsenal coach neglected some vital technical details about FC Porto which could have turned that game around for his gunners side, you can't be playing against a team like FC Porto that play with great pace and have solid defence and you have a player like Havert on the pitch who can't even match the strength or pace of the Porto players, the gunners couldn't even find the back of the net even with their recent form where they scored eleven goals in two matches, the performance of arsenal was below expectation and i hope they could turn things arround when they host porto at the emirate soon.

I am yet to forgive Arsenal Fc and Arterta for losing my bet yesterday. Arsenal disappointed a lot of people including myself in that match, they were in great form and anyone could easily predict them to win even with 10 men. Unfortunately, it boils down to the fact that football isn't mathematics and there's no definite formula to calculate the correctness of a team winning a match.

Arsenal better prepares well to beat the Porto team by a wider margin when they play at home, or this might mean more troubles for them.
Arsenal disappointed everyone yesterday with there inability to score, I believe so many gamblers lost there betting on that match because they did not believe that Arsenal will be this inconsistent, however it was actually unlike Arsenal because the Arsenal we use to know on the premier League was totally different from there performance yesterday because is a team that knows how to utilize a scoring opportunities but I was surprised to see how they were struggling to score when they have all the opportunities they needed to score.

Funny enough FC Porto did not even give them much of a serious pressure because Arsenal dominated the match right from the beginning of the match till the end of the match, actually seeing how Arsenal was playing especially on the first half of the match you will think that they will score more than 4 goals on that match because there possession can never be compare with FC Porto, although Arterta pattern or formation was not really helping because that was actually one of the reasons why Arsenal was performing that way which lead to there losing.
Arsenal couldn't manage a single shot on target in this match. It's disappointing, but not entirely surprising. Their lack of experience in the Champions League was evident, as they seemed hesitant to play their usual style. Arsenal struggles against top-tier opponents were on display.
It was a tough night, but losing 1-0 away isn't the end. Knockout stage games are always challenging. Some worry this might be where the season starts to unravel, but hopefully not. Arsenal fans are hopeful for a better outcome at the Emirates. It'll be a different game there. However, there's a concern that Porto might try to slow down the match and disrupt Arsenal's rhythm, aiming for a 0-0 or 1-1 draw. Porto knew what was required last night and will make it tough in the return fixture!
