In the first leg of the Porto vs Arsenal match, Arsenal did master the ball but that did not mean dominating the game. If you keep the ball in your area, back and forth from right to left, back to the goalkeeper, you control the ball. However, no shot to the goal is a silly thing done by Arsenal. Arsenal need to improve the front lines to be more effective in attack, this must be immediately improved if they want to win the match in the second leg and qualify for the next round.

In this fight when viewed from the game this result is fair enough for Porto who came with plans and got three points at home. Arsenal did not guarantee a draw let alone victory, because Arsenal played a very negative game. There is no ambition, there is no substitute for managers, only one change of players. Porto knows they have to try harder to bring something to London to play and I still think Arsenal will turn things around at the Emirates Stadium.

Porto have already won the first leg, which was a home game for them, and they got to that victory as a result of the thick defensive game they played, in which they ended up getting their goal in the extra minute. It is very surprising even to see that Arsenal were not able to break through the defence of Porto, but I know many fans of Arsenal will not be happy because of the yesterday results, but still, I can say that the goal that was scored by Galeno. It was just luck, or Arsenal players were already weak by the time they didn’t see the goal coming, but I know Arsenal will be ready to see them in the second leg. 

Arsenal playing the second leg of a home game will be so tremendous to Porto because they won’t take it a bit easy on Porto. I know Arsenal won’t let a team like Porto knock them out of the season in the round of 16, and Porto will also try to play defensively so that they can have hope to go to the quarterfinals, which will be very hard for them. Let's say Arsenal will be at home waiting for Porto to see what they caused Arsenal yesterday because Arsenal will be very sad to lose yesterday's game.

Arsenal did their best but loosing at that point was inevitable so they lost to porto , they had the best performance a d even out played Porto at some point but it still surprising how Porto still managed to win, maybe it will be fine to say proto were lucky and Arsenal weren't because that sounds like the new description to what happened in that game. Both teams appear to still ha e equal chance but if Arsenal draws in their next meeting they are obviously exiting the champions league and that's without any form of prejudice because Porto is current at the advantage of a win already even if it's with just a goal but they are in a better situation than arsenal currently.

By the next meeting that will be hosted by Arsenal, if Arsenal wins with two goals they may have the opportunity to qualify as against Porto otherwise I their fate may be a totally different one. But I feel Porto wou want to do much better and their confidence at this moment will be quiet strong so Arsenal should prepare for any possible outcome.

I agree because I was also not expecting result and performance like this from the Porto with Arsenal were really at the top of the game in last few matches but in this game we have impressive work by Sergio Conceicao and his team which not allowed Arsenal to have anything positive and win the match as well which give them good advantage for the second leg match in London even Gunners having good performance but sadly fail to score any goal which hurt them badly at the end.

Before start of the game mostly were sure in this game we are going to have the good number of goals from the Gunners lethal attack but it is one of the best performance from the Porto they hold them and also win the game with having goal in last few minutes of the match now how Arsenal will give response in second leg it's going to be more interesting.

In the group stage, Dortmund was indeed much better than the challengers who did not qualify for the next round, but entering the round of 16, the competition will be even tighter and Dortmund must appear consistent if they want to qualify for the next round. Dortmund's draw is good capital when playing at home because they are much more favored. Meanwhile, PSV will have a little more difficulty because they have to play more pressingly and if they are not able to defend, Dortmund could score a quick goal and take over the match, which will make PSV's chances of qualifying for the next round even smaller

Surprisingly Barcelona was forced to draw against Napoli, while Arsenal lost against Porto, while Inter Milan managed to beat Atletico Madrid with a smaller goal margin. This is quite an exciting match because in the second leg Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have to work hard to win the match if they want to qualify to the next round.

It was a very painful defeat for Arsenal. They controlled the game but Porto had an excellent defense. Arsenal didn't even have a shot on target. But the match was a painful defeat for Arsenal because Porto was able to score a goal in the 94th minute. I think the match will end in a draw.

But this result still doesn't put Porto in a safe zone because Arsenal is a strong team and a 1 goal lead will only make a small difference. Arsenal will host the second leg so I think Arsenal still has a chance to turn things around.

Agree, not a big problem for Arsenal, but they have to remain alert to their current condition, when it becomes a full defensive match for Porto, it will be hell for Arsenal. I previously forgot to mention that apart from Otavio, they also have Pepe there, so Arsenal must really solve Porto's solid defensive problem. Remember that Porto only needs a draw here to advance to the next round.


Camp Nou & Barcelona 0 - 0 Napoli, that's enough, they don't have to win. But considering how the atmosphere at Camp Nou was when Barcelona played, it seems they will have to entertain their supporters a little.

I think that both of this games are still very open to be contested, the arsenal team needs to step up in the reverse fixtures if they really want to progress to the next round, because In as much as they control much of the game, they were quite easy to defend against, due to the fact that they weren't fast enough, their intensity is not up to the level i know them off, but If they really want to qaulify to the next round, they really need to create goal scoring opportunities in the reverse fixtures, because it's really not good that a team as good as arsenal don't even have a single shot on target, so they really need to do more to break down the defense of this Porto team if they must stand a chance to progress.

Inter Milan managed to win but unfortunately they only had narrow 1 - 0 win over Atletico Madrid and they had various opportunities to score more goals but failed and only one was successful.
Inter Milan had total of 5 shots on target with 19 attempted attacks in total but their dominance of the game and control of the match could not result in big win as expected.
In the future, maybe Inter Milan will be under pressure because they are playing an away match with only 1 - 0 aggregate and Atletico Madrid itself is not weak team and can provide an unexpected surprise where in this second leg Atletico Madrid can win big.
If in the second leg match Atletico Madrid is able to win big then it is clear that Inter Milan will definitely fall from the UCL and this is bad result that is completely unacceptable.

Today Porto won 1 - 0 over Arsenal but it is not certain that Arsenal will fall in the round of 16 because for the second leg they have home advantage and this allows Arsenal to win with much bigger score to surpass Porto on aggregate.
Moreover, in the last few matches, Arsenal managed to get consecutive wins in the Premier League and Arsenal still has big chance of winning and qualifying for the next round.

Although in today's match, the Barcelona team was very competitive, due to which the game ended in a draw. Barcelona had plenty of chances to win but they couldn't capitalize on the chances. Barcelona had 6 shots at the goal post and Napoli 1, the difference being that they had one attacking success. But despite Barcelona team being relatively strong team, they could not reach the peak of winning their team towards victory.  But there is enough opportunity to go to the final, Barcelona team needs to perform better.

Of course Agg 1 goal is not a difficult thing for Arsenal to chase, especially in the second leg, Arsenal will play at home, but what happened in the first leg is something that is very regrettable.
Porto played extraordinary, they seemed to be able to cover Arsenal's every move and the Arsenal players were unable to develop their game.

And in the other match, Barcelona drew at home to Napoli, this was in line with predictions and Barcelona quite benefited from the result of this draw because it would be easier for them to look forward to the second leg which will be played at Barcelona's home ground.

Arsenal may have looked like they were playing well because they were almost able to hold Porto to a draw but unfortunately, none of their shots were on target so it could be said that they were able to control the match and carried out quite intense attacks but didn't really threaten Porto's goal, and Porto was very lucky to be able to score 1 goal which allows them to win this match, but it is not over for both teams because in the second match anything is still possible because a 1 goal lead is not safe for Porto but it is also not a guarantee that Arsenal will be able to win with a big score in the home match later, so both teams still have the same opportunities.

Napoli managed to keep up with Barcelona's game, but the away team had more chances, and Osimhen managed to become a mainstay for Napoli again, but what are the chances in the second match? of course it will be very different because both teams have to win the match if they want to qualify, Barcelona will probably be more motivated because this is one of the competitions where they still have a chance to become champions but Napoli still cannot be underestimated, although I estimate that Barcelona has a better chance of qualifying , winning just 1 goal will take Barcelona to the quarter-finals and that is very good for Barcelona, who for several seasons in the Champions League couldn't do much.

Even after having terrible game Napoli able to bring themselves to the level which is impressive, but now things are surely going to be toughest for them in Spain while they will go and try to have win which could be not easy even we can say still both teams are in game for the win because in last few games at home Barcelona is also facing trouble but still advantage with them for having win and go through for the quarterfinal with both are at the same level of performance and both are also having problems which are needed to be fixed.

Arsenal vs Porto is surely the biggest disappointment for the fans because mostly were feeling they could be having the good number of goals but sadly at the end we have only one goal from the Porto into injury time which give them good win, and now we have to wait for the second leg game with how Arsenal will perform.

Yes, even though Arsenal had taken 7 shots but none of them were on target so Arsenal had difficulty scoring goals, this was because the home team had anticipated playing a fairly good defensive strategy and Porto succeeded in playing this.
In the second leg, Arsenal still has the opportunity to counterattack because Arsenal played very strongly at home, but Porto will use the same strategy as before, namely maintaining a tight defense and we'll see if Arsenal can get rid of Porto in this round.

The result of this match didn't really surprise me because Porto played at home, there was still the second leg remaining and the match would take place at the Emirates, the only thing Arsenal had to think about was how they would break down Porto's defense if they still wanted to progress to the next round.

Arsenal vs Porto in the UEFA Champions League presented an amazing game to the audience. However, in this match most people thought that Arsenal might win, which is why everyone bet on Arsenal. However, the leg-2 match became very important for Arsenal, if Arsenal can't win the next match, then they will definitely be eliminated from the Champions League. The other team played well against Arsenal at their home ground and won the match, maybe it's bad luck for Arsenal. But in the second leg, I expect Arsenal to play well in their own ground and win, and if they can beat the opposition team by 2-3 goals, then they will definitely qualify for the knockouts.

Sergio Conceicao seemed to have studied Arsenal game in the last few matches, he was able to overcome all of Arsenal attacks by keeping a tight guard on the opposing players and also not giving the slightest space that could endanger their goal. Various attempts were made to break into Porto goal, but Arsenal recognized Porto superiority after their goal was broken through in the final minutes.

I wouldn't want to agree it was really an unlucky day for Arsenal because through the first half of the game there was some kind of balance and Porto did played well too so both team at some point had some even performance but then Arsenal did gave their best as it was very obvious they wanted only but a win, nevertheless they weren't able to get a good to help them being to reality their dreams.

Well it actually looks magical how Porto won this game but realistically Porto in their domestic league had really been of a very good performance a d they had lost on a few games they have aswell tried to be amongst the top team I'm their league aswell so it shouldn't have been too much of a surprise for them to have won but then they weren't appearing like they had the matching capacity to really get arsenal t lose a game as this against them, to think it was a champions league knock out game, Porto now have a home goal advantage and if they managed to get another when they visit the Emirates stadium, even with Arsenal winning, Porto may still qualify except Arsenal wins with a good goal margin ahead of Porto.
