Porto vs Arsenal 1-0. Arsenal as a whole dominated the game but Porto's very strong defense made it difficult for Arsenal to score goals.
And Porto's 1 goal in the remaining extra time scored by Galeno in the 90+4 minute was a painful goal for Arsenal.

Napoli vs Barcelona 1-1 and Barcelona's goal was scored by Lewandowski in the 60th minute, and Napoli's goal was scored by Osimhen in the 75th minute.

Victor Osimhen is truly a great champion, you can see it from this.
He manages to drag a team that isn't moving by the hair.
If he's well he's a team of his own.
I don't think that under these conditions he will remain in Napoli, he deserves to win titles and increase the prestige of his career.
Napoli played so poorly that I doubted if they would be able to get a draw. The defensive strategy they adopted is not the best while playing with an attacking side like Barcelona. They failed to make many attacking runs which put pressure on the defense and goalkeeper. Alex Meret had to make about five good saves that denied Barca the chance to win the game. Coach Francesco Calzona should know that a team that had just one shot on target and scored just one goal in an important game like yesterday might not be able to lift the trophy unless they improve.

Victor Osimhen is an extraordinary striker that can make a difference in any game. He can create and maximize chances. His strength and speed are one of his biggest advantages. With that single goal, Napoli has hope to qualify if they can get good result in Spain. Sacked coach Walter Mazzarri lamented that the absence of the Nigerian talisman due to the African Nations Cup contributed to his sack. He believed that his presence would have brought better results than the three wins from nine games they had in his absence.

Arsenal can never be trusted, when football fans expectations of them are high, the Artera squad suffered defeat.  Reminiscent of their previous group stage defeat to Lens, Arsenal consistency was broken at a time when they were in their best form.  However, there is still hope to turn things around, their chance to qualify for the quarter finals is still open, whether the Emirates will celebrate or mourn is the responsibility of Arteta and his troops.
Bookmakers gave a 5.6 odds on Porto to win, so few people believed that Porto could win, but even fewer people believed that Arsenal would not score a single goal, the odds on this event were about 5 I think. So Arsenal performed in their usual manner, when they lose important matches unexpectedly, at a time when everyone expects victories. After 11 (!) unanswered goals in the EPL in two matches, everyone expected Arsenal to score at least a goal or two, but Arsenal players decided otherwise. I think Arsenal players still lack athletic aggression and character, but I am happy that they conceded only one goal and now at home there is a chance to get back and go further.

Arsenal was defeated and that is what we call a disaster for the club most especially when the defeat happened to them at home in front of the fans, which could have been a big advantage to them.

Barcelona on the other hand played a 1:1 draw with Napoli and even though Barcelona made the first goal record before the equalization,  it still felt better and safer for Barcelona but along the line, they missed their steps and there was an equalization but still, we cant compared the condition to that of Arsenal who was defeated in their game.

I am not worried about Arsenal even though they lost in this match because I'm sure they can win in the second leg with a more score, Arsenal will not waste this opportunity because Arsenal have no choices except the Champions League. I did not underestimate Porto but I thought Arsenal was more worthy to go to next stage and Arsenal will do it in the second leg match.
I agree with you because Arsenal dominated FC Porto but failed to win against FC Porto yesterday. FC Porto will not be able to play good football when they visit Arsenal in the second leg of the Uefa Champions League last 16. Arsenal will be too strong for FC Porto at the Emirates Stadium.

It was a very painful defeat for Arsenal. They controlled the game but Porto had an excellent defense. Arsenal didn't even have a shot on target. But the match was a painful defeat for Arsenal because Porto was able to score a goal in the 94th minute. I think the match will end in a draw.

But this result still doesn't put Porto in a safe zone because Arsenal is a strong team and a 1 goal lead will only make a small difference. Arsenal will host the second leg so I think Arsenal still has a chance to turn things around.
Arsenal did have a chance to turn things around in the second leg at home when they hosted FC Porto because from the results of their match yesterday it was also very clear that Arsenal were indeed able to control the ball very well even though it was quite difficult to penetrate FC Porto's defense. And I also agree with what you said that a one goal advantage is not enough capital for FC Porto if in the second leg they cannot score another goal against Arsenal.

For the first time this season, Arsenal failed to record a single shot on target against their opponent and it all ended when they played the first leg away against Porto. Everyone must have been surprised because apart from their bad statistics, Arsenal also lost in this match. Even Arsenal's goal expectations are lower than Porto's and that makes their performance even worse. Porto is very reliable when hosting and the support from the fans has never stopped since the start of the match.

Even though Arsenal really dominated the game, what's the point if they can't win and never even endanger Porto's goal? Porto, who took advantage of Arsenal's defensive line, managed to break into their goal in the 90+4 minute and it was all thanks to Galeno's foresight who scored the only winning goal for Porto. Of course, in the second leg, Arsenal will be even more under pressure even though they are playing as hosts and on the other hand, Porto will be more confident in being able to get rid of Arsenal with this aggregate advantage.

I don't just understand this Arsenal team. They will disappoint you when you least expect it. How can a team have over 60 percentage of ball possession and still not be able to have a single shot on target. Arsenal really have to up their games in the Champions league if they are to go far in this competition. You can't be playing like this and expect to get something. They could have just manage to hold for a draw instead of them losing the game. I was really hoping they will transfer their current form in the premier league to the champoins league and win Porto. I am really disappointed.

It's really shame Arsenal lose against Porto, Porto is not consistent in the domestic league, even though Arsenal is also inconsistent in the domestic league. But there's a big difference between Premier League and Primeira Liga, a top 10 Premier League can beat the champion in Primeira Liga.

It's not funny if Arteta sacrificing Champions League for Premier League.

The Champions League is very different from the respective local leagues and that is why FC Porto was able to beat Arsenal even though Arsenal's players are quite the favourites.
In that match, I saw that Porto's players were mentally much more prepared than Arsenal's players and they were always able to play more calmly even though Arsenal didn't stop attacking.
The defeat experienced by Arsenal will be something difficult, even though the second leg of the match will take place at the Emirates Stadium and if FC Porto can make Arsenal draw with a small goal margin then FC Porto's chances of qualifying will be even greater.

In the first leg of the Porto vs Arsenal match, Arsenal did master the ball but that did not mean dominating the game. If you keep the ball in your area, back and forth from right to left, back to the goalkeeper, you control the ball. However, no shot to the goal is a silly thing done by Arsenal. Arsenal need to improve the front lines to be more effective in attack, this must be immediately improved if they want to win the match in the second leg and qualify for the next round.

In this fight when viewed from the game this result is fair enough for Porto who came with plans and got three points at home. Arsenal did not guarantee a draw let alone victory, because Arsenal played a very negative game. There is no ambition, there is no substitute for managers, only one change of players. Porto knows they have to try harder to bring something to London to play and I still think Arsenal will turn things around at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal had a brilliant run of five consecutive victories, including demolitions (5-0, 6-0, and 5-0). But now they played a lackluster match against Porto. Arsenal had the initiative, but they didn't create clear chances for a goal. Porto could have scored in the 21st minute, but Galeno hit the crossbar and then hit the post. Interestingly, Arsenal had to commit many fouls in this game. I don't think that's been the case for a while. Arsenal's 0-1 loss before the second leg is not a tragedy. The Gunners can certainly bounce back at home.

I missed out on the game but this was a crucial game, though I settled for highlights, Arsenal dominated the game fulltime but got unlucky when it comes to goals scoring. Porto winning Arsenal in the first leg sends a message to the English team to become prepared to hosts Porto in the second leg. Mikel Arteta and his team had a dissapointing results but they have nothing to worry about because there's full hope in the second leg of the round of 16. Gunners will bring on every they got left, this is certainly not an opportunity for them to misused rather make proper advantage of this particular chance.
The hope is still there and is still very big for Arsenal to be able to turn things around in the second leg, but they still have to be careful because it looks like Porto can reduce Arsenal's game and this was proven in the first leg, even though Arsenal controlled a lot of the ball, Arteta's tactics couldn't penetrate. Porto's solid defense.

In this match, what stole a little attention was Pepe who was in the starting line-up and he was even plotted to be captain of the Porto team, and Pape was named the oldest player and captain to play in the Champions League this season at the age of 40.
I can say Porto really succeeded with the strategy they played so that it allowed them to win the match in this first leg. Although Arsenal controlled the game, they did not find a gap to get deeper into the defense built by Porto and it was interesting to see that they could not even create a shot that really led to the target. Porto struggled too, but I consider it their luck that they were able to score in stoppage time and send Arsenal home with a defeat. I also think a draw is a fair result for both teams given their stats, but it's a game of football that can throw up some surprises.
from this match, I can judge a little that Arsenal were a little less focused because away games can always reduce the mentality of the players and Arsenal mistake was being too ambitious to score without looking for a way to score by breaking into Porto defense like Trossard did he should have been able to score when he got there the ball from a high pass that he should have controlled first and shot the ball but he shot the ball directly so it didn't hit the target.
Porto advantage is that they can't control the ball like Arsenal, but in my opinion, Porto makes a few attacks but can be a little more precise and if we really look at the playing style of the Porto players, they are very good with very precise breakthrough passes.

from the assessment I said, it is clear that Porto victory was not luck, but the style of playing at home was a little different and stronger than before, but believe me in the next match, Arsenal will respond with a bigger score.

We can call it an unlucky day for Arsenal after several attempts ended in vain, but even if Porto win today they are not safe yet because Arsenal can turn things around in the next match we also know Arsenal can beat anyone who comes to their home base. Napoli and Barcelona only played a draw even though Barcelona dominated, they couldn't win it. The results of today's match are almost the same as yesterday's match and each team still has a chance in the second leg match.

it was a very unpleasant moment for Arsenal if we could not win in yesterday's game I don't think we have hope to win the Champions League, we know Arsenal have all the strength then why are they fucking up when we need to start winning more matches we can not afford to lose both the trophies this season. Barcelona is fucked we don't want domination they should score a goal, they are not in a good condition now, it was expected, and even the second leg is not sure.

It was a very painful defeat for Arsenal. They controlled the game but Porto had an excellent defense. Arsenal didn't even have a shot on target. But the match was a painful defeat for Arsenal because Porto was able to score a goal in the 94th minute. I think the match will end in a draw.

They won us during the extra time given, we know that we were all pained by the defeat but that is football for you never can tell what will happen next, we don't have a choice but to accept it the way it was,  what pained me the most is scoring us during the extra minute that is just crazy, if it had ended draw we would not have complained. but when we all thought it would end draw that is when they scored, since there other games to come i trust arsenal. and the way arsenal having been doing wonders in the premier league just makes everything interesting.

To be honest, I was very disappointed with Arsenal's performance. Because in the last 3/4 matches in the Premier League, we saw the great dominance of Arsenal. This team was in great form. They also won against big teams like Liverpool.

However, Arsenal's victory in yesterday's match seemed to have no goal. They were probably playing for a draw.

From the above report it is well seen that Arsenal tried to dominate the match with 65% ball possession. But the Arsenal team, which scored 11 goals in the last two matches, could not make a single shot on target in this match. The match was Arsenal's away match. Even so, I don't expect to see such a performance from Arsenal. Arsenal players tried a lot of attacks. But they failed due to poor performance of strikers.

Because they are equal in quality, the second match will be very tight and exciting. Any team can score a first goal in the next match will have high opportunity to win in an aggregated result.
I think this is a stretch in my opinion. There's no way Arsenal and Porto's first team has the same quality. You could argue that Porto managed to keep Arsenal out due to their tactics and all, but having a $60 million player in your squad should theoretically make you the better team on paper.

I missed out on the game but this was a crucial game, though I settled for highlights, Arsenal dominated the game fulltime but got unlucky when it comes to goals scoring.
You could also say they got a bit lucky since Porto failed to score more because they had more threatening chances. If their player quality is a bit better and they have more composure, I believe Arsenal can be 1-0 down earlier. That's just football, if you fail to score or create any chances then it means nothing, even if you have 70% possession. Kind of weird Arsenal suddenly failed to score after they battered teams in the PL.

Arsenal did their best but loosing at that point was inevitable so they lost to porto , they had the best performance a d even out played Porto at some point but it still surprising how Porto still managed to win, maybe it will be fine to say proto were lucky and Arsenal weren't because that sounds like the new description to what happened in that game. Both teams appear to still ha e equal chance but if Arsenal draws in their next meeting they are obviously exiting the champions league and that's without any form of prejudice because Porto is current at the advantage of a win already even if it's with just a goal but they are in a better situation than arsenal currently.

By the next meeting that will be hosted by Arsenal, if Arsenal wins with two goals they may have the opportunity to qualify as against Porto otherwise I their fate may be a totally different one. But I feel Porto wou want to do much better and their confidence at this moment will be quiet strong so Arsenal should prepare for any possible outcome.

These are the disadvantages of playing with a concrete central forward, you see all of these things and they affect your game. At times in football it's also like this. You'd play everything and still lose the game and three points. I'd say lucky because Arsenal was far better than Porto and should have won the game. Saddens me finally to see that it ended that way for the gunners. They've been scoring good number of goals in the Premier League Competition but they found that difficult to do in the Champions League last night. They're now pushing all hope to the days they Porto travels to London for the second fixture..

Let's focus on how they go about the game with Newcastle before thinking about the next fixture again Porto. Anyone Fazed with Lima Pepe? He's been defending for a long time and could also play in.the next Euro's Competition coming up soon.

In the Premier League, clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Nothingham Forest all has the Champions League, it could take them a long time before they can achieve that, No? LoL

Arsenal luckily maintained a draw until injury time and Raya did some excellent saves for Arsenal. If Raya did not make those great saves, Arsenal even get a conceded goal sooner than that. The match shows that Arsenal are not stronger than Porto but they will have opportunity at home. Because they are equal in quality, the second match will be very tight and exciting. Porto did created a lot of pressure on Arsenal and they really deserve this win even the late goal makes some people think that Arsenal deserve to have a draw. Porto are very experience in Champions League and they will not come to England and play against Arsenal with fear.
