In less than a month until the round of 16 of the 23/24 champions league rolls around and of course we already miss the competition between teams and the exciting matches that will take place in this competition later. If we look at the performance of each team that has qualified for the round of 16, there will definitely be something stable, up or down, and we can see the results in each team's domestic league matches. Maybe I'm quite curious about which teams will make a comeback ahead of this match.

However, from me, teams like Barcelona, Arsenal, Napoli, Real Sociedad, Atletico Madrid and Lazio are teams that are experiencing a decline and they have a month to start improving their performance and also for the coaches of each team to be able to provide strategies. better. On the other hand, teams that are on fire such as Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Inter, PSG and PSV are a disaster for other teams because these teams continue to be consistent and have no gaps at all to be beaten. I hope that all the players from all the competing teams can keep their bodies fit and avoid injury because we definitely want to see a team perform at full strength.
From several clubs that will appear next month I will only avoid betting in Napoli and Barcelona matches.
Because I consider the two clubs to have an unstable appearance and the two clubs are also experiencing a decline in performance because it experiences several problems such as Napoli has problems with new coaches and Barcelona does not have enough money to strengthen the performance of the players.
From this reason it made me hesitate to bet and if only limited to Napoli's speculation had a slightly greater chance of escaping.
For other clubs like Real Madrid, I am sure Ancelotti is able to maintain the physical stability of the players as I saw in the previous match in other competitions Real Madrid only competed using a reserve player and the main player on the rest and this was one way to keep players to avoid injury losses And I'm sure if other clubs also use strategies like this.

Salute to Pep Guardiola if he can bring his team to defend the Champions League title because it is not an easy job and this time Manchester City's competition will still be with the same team, there are Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and several other teams that cannot be underestimated just like that because they still have the ability to be competitive competitors in this tournament, but the teams that are their competitors this time are progressing quite rapidly, such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and also Inter Milan, so if Manchester City meets one of these teams before the final their struggle will be very tough, and I don't favor Manchester City as champions here for the second time even though KDB has returned to play but Real Madrid and Bayern Munich look like they have a better chance of becoming champions league champions this season.
Yeah truly the competition on this champion league is actually getting really more tougher considering the major clubs that are currently on the race, although if Manchester City has putting the performance they had last season to this season they would have likely win this champion league again but however there performance and determination this season champion league seem a bit weak and perhaps it was only during the early time of this season that Manchester City was really pushing on the champions League table but there consistent was not enough and they began to lose form, but however with the arrival of Kevin de Bruyne Manchester City has peak form but however I don't think they stand a chance to win the champions league again this season.

So perhaps just like you said I'm also looking at Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Inter Milan as the main candidate of the champions League this season but most especially Bayern Munich and real Madrid because they are better than inter Milan in times of performance but if real Madrid manage to reach final I think they will have an upper chance of wining the champions League because they have a good history on champions league league especially the finals.

this season the competitors are very fierce and will certainly want to snatch the trophy from Pep Guardiola's hands
When competitions are like this, I really enjoy it a lot
I like knowing I'm watching a game where they don't play defense but dare with the desire to win
in the end I pay for the ticket for that reason

Last season Arsenal got dumped out of the European Europa League Competition by Sporting Lisbon, Yeah? They'll be facing another Portuguese side this time in the Champions League knockout stages ( Porto ) who are we know are pretty good at home. I know that home game would a be hell for Arsenal to go through and it'll be difficult winning that gane when you lack a top goal scoring player in between.
It will be facing portuguese club again and it will be a disaster for arsenal. Even though porto is still placing at the third place but it can perform good too.
It will be embarassing result for arsenal to be kicked out by portuguese club again after sporting lisbon has kicked arsenal out from the europa league last season.

You're right, I believe the bookmakers are purely English and they promote clubs from the English Premier League Competition very well.
Yeah and it's really strange to see that intermilan which is performing perfectly in all the competitions were valuing less compared to the arsenal. How can this become a sense thing?

They don't have what it take. Just like you've said Inter Milan who went as far as to the Champions League finals last season are nowhere to be seen? They also have the best attacking system in Italian Seria A. They should be ahead when it get to the favorites for the Champions League Competition.

Intermilan has best attacking and it's also good in defending caused by it was conceded fewer goals too. I would prefer to pick intermilan as one of favorite club to win the competition instead of arsenal.
It's strange to see that arsenal on the top clubs to win UCL this season.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

With Real's current squad, I only appreciate their midfield and attack. As for the defense, which is a patchwork due to injuries, I'm worried about how they will perform in the near future if this transfer period they decide not to bring any central defender contracts.

Madrid is now in form and it now looks as if they have a better chance to win because for the past few weeks, they have been performing well and their attack is penetrating well and their defense as you said injuries have affected their defense system but even at that Madrid can not be underestimated, and currently in la liga Madrid is performing well so I don't see any reason to worry about them, and they don't even have any serious contenders in the champions league for now.
We can not only see what is happening now but overall that throughout this season the problems experienced by Real Madrid are in the defense line because several of their main players are injured, meaning that there are no players who are ready to maintain the stability of the team when this happens. player rotation and this is not only in the defense line but also applies to their front line, this was seen when Vini was injured.
Therefore, Real Madrid should be able to prepare the team to be more mature in facing a season that is still very long. In the L League, Real Madrid may not have serious opponents because their rivals are also in a downturn and will still not be in the Champin League.

I don't understand what you mean when you say Real Madrid doesn't have any serious competitors in the Champions League at the moment.
I think Real Madrid this season is not the strongest team and even their percentage of winning the title is smaller compared to other strong teams such as Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

At the moment, Inter are still quite favored because they will fight Real Sociedad which in fact is a club with the status of a dark horse at the moment but that also does not mean Inter will win easily because in the end this is just talking about probability and at the moment their probability is quite large when compared to Sociedad, but it does not rule out the possibility of unexpected surprises like the previous few seasons in the Champions League sometimes there are some unexpected surprises including last season where Inter became semi-finalists because it was a surprise that could not be expected before.
A slight correction in that Inter will be playing against Atletico not Real Sociedad as they were already in the same group before which meant Inter finished second and Sociedad will face PSG in the last 16.
Inter and Atletico at the moment they can still be said to be a big match because after all, currently Inter's performance is in good shape and Atletico also they are actually quite good when compared to the previous season, this season they are better because they are helped by the presence of Morata and Depay for their attack line.

This will be a big match in the round of 16 because after all in terms of experience they can still be said to be balanced, in terms of the quality of their players is also not much different so this is still a fifty-fifty.
As for Sociedad at the moment they are indeed a dark horse club which is indeed very good even they can get the top position defeating Inter, Benfica and Salzburg who are subscriptions and I think being in the round of 16 with group winner status for a debutant club is quite impressive for Sociedad.
Thank you for the correction soba and it is true that it was a mistake and must be corrected. Inter will face a big match in the last 16 as Atletico are no ordinary club when it comes to Champions League experience and allowing for the possibility that both teams could still be in contention in the last 16.

The first leg of the match will be held at San Siro where it is a place that could be haunted for any club especially Inter and Ateltico also do not have a record of matches to be used as a comparison in the near future because they in the last 1 decade have only met twice in the ICC for the closest in 2018 so that cannot be a comparison.
As for Sociedad in their debut season, it is indeed the best for them at this time regardless of the round of 16 against PSG qualifying or not I think they will still be satisfied with the results even though their desire is definitely to qualify for the quarter-final phase.

Real Madrid are quite confident with their options at the moment and it is unlikely they will undertake any transfer activity in the winter to add a defender. If later Real Madrid loses another defender due to injury, they still have several young players from the academy to overcome this. I understand it won't be strong enough but at least Ancelotti understands better what is needed on the pitch and if the coach wasn't Ancelotti it's possible that Real Madrid would have made an emergency transfer to overcome the lack of defenders.
if you should call out clubs that have the chance of winning real Madrid is theirs and even last season everyone had faith that Real Madrid might win something along the line, Manchester City won but this time around Manchester City won't be able to defend for the trophy this season. they might already be making plans to get a defender they might not disclose it for now but if they do get it will help the performance of the club. I hope they don't lose another defender because that will be very terrible and might seriously affect their performance when they begin to face stronger clubs. and the ones that are injured wish they come back to the team on time to keep the goalpost defended because of their experience.

Though Real Madrid defense is currently under having some bits of issues as a result of the injuries to few important members of the defensive players at the club, I don't think they'll be signing defenders during the winter transfer window because just like you said, Real Madrid have young players in the youth team to choose from in case of further injuries to the current players in the defensive position at the club. Again Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is known for his expertise in rotating his squad and perfectly making converting some players to play in their unnatural positions. I'll be surprised to see Real Madrid sign any player this winter transfer rather I'm expecting them to participate greatly in the summer transfer

It is indeed very difficult to predict which one will be superior in the Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid match. Because each of these teams has quite consistent performance in their respective domestic leagues. It's just that Inter Milan is currently better than last season. In fact, currently Inter Milan is also leading the standings in Serie A quite well. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid is currently still struggling in the top 5 and 4 in Laliga. But still, Atletico Madrid's strength cannot be underestimated because Atletico Madrid is even stronger than Real Sociedad in Laliga based on the current standings in Laliga. So Inter Milan will also certainly have difficulties when facing Atletico Madrid.

Meanwhile, Real Sociedad seems unlucky in the last 16 because they have to face PSG in the last 16. Even though PSG didn't perform well enough in the group stage, PSG is still one of the clubs whose strength must always be taken into account. Because the depth of the PSG squad is also quite superior to Real Sociedad. And the Real Sociedad vs PSG match is equally difficult to predict.

Whichever team is able to maintain their best game until the end of the competition, they have the right to win the Champions League, including Manchester City. Dependence on several players is still the main obstacle that makes it difficult for Manchester City to maintain its performance when its mainstay players are absent.
Guardiola will try to maintain their success last season. His team's performance has improved again, he is trying to give Manchester City a second UCL title in a row. Other teams still have a chance, Real Madrid is still the strongest challenger in the title race, Bayern Munich must also be taken into account, while Inter will try to make a surprise.
Real is still a formidable force at UCL. I think it will not be easy for Mancity to win the UCL trophy two times in a row, although the predictions show that Mancity has the highest chance of winning the championship. The situation and strength of the teams will change somewhat after the upcoming transfer market ends. What will happen if Real successfully recruits Mbappe in this transfer window? This will be an extremely strong and quality addition to the race to the championship for Real
Apart from that, this season Real Madrid is very strong in every line where the midfield and defense are very strong so it will be very difficult for other teams to beat them. In the round of 16, Real Madrid will face Leipzig from the Bundesliga. Maybe in terms of strength, Real Madrid is no longer in doubt that they are stronger than Leipzig, so this match will be quite easy to predict the final result.
With Real's current squad, I only appreciate their midfield and attack. As for the defense, which is a patchwork due to injuries, I'm worried about how they will perform in the near future if this transfer period they decide not to bring any central defender contracts.

It's still long way to go before the round of 16 will begin. Im concerning about the fact that if watch the match between spanish club against italian club. Barcelona vs napoli and atletico vs intermilan look like the best match from all of available matches.
I meant let's say that you watch the match between city vs copenhagen or madrid vs leipzig. The result from this match can be known easily and the game between spanish vs italian clubs are the most interesting game in the round of 16.

Intermilan vs atletico madrid is quite good. Interimlan is in on fire while atletico was still struggling to defend its position at the top. Barcelona will be also facing napoli which can be considered as a strong club as well.
Im concerning whether osimhen will still stay on the club when this match will begin or he will leave from napoli to join in the english premier club. It's dilemma for him caused by napoli has really poor performance while he may not contiue to participate in UCL if he will leave from napoli soon.

This is a very hard question to be answered caused by the osimhen itself who can answer this. Im gonna wait him to tell his target before january will end soon. It will be around stay or leave.

Osimhen needs to make everything clear as soon as possible.

The round of 16 of the UCL is always interesting to watch because this is the most prestigious competition on the European continent and of course the remaining 16 teams are the best in Europe at the moment.
So top teams who are under performing cannot be underestimated like Napoli and Barcelona because it is very possible for them to rise and make a surprise.

I think one of the three teams you've mentioned above (City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich) will be champions, of course City are the defending champions (having won the CL for the first time last season), and they'll want to defend their title. The thing i love most about City is their lack of complacency, they always want success every season, notwithstanding whatsoever they achieved the previous season.

City beat Bayern (in the QF) and Real Madrid (in the SF) on their way to the trophy last season, and if they meet either team in this knockout stage, it would be pretty tough and there would be a sense of revenge. It would be interesting to see how things pan out.

Doesn't this apply to Real Madrid or Bayern? Bayern wins the Bundesliga every year and for them this is a routine/norm that they cannot fall below and every year they want to win the Champions League. Real won the Champions League three times in a row and 4 times in 5 years. It is difficult to imagine that at some point they will say “perhaps we have enough.” Each top team strives to win all tournaments in which it participates. As for personal meetings between them, I hope that City will be knocked out earlier and there simply won’t be any  Grin
I think City should go further because in football every team has a year when they dominate. If Manchester City wins again this year, it will force the UCL and these other teams to be better. Thus, we will see a tighter competition next year. I think Real Madrid or City are the favorites this year.

To be honest, I don't want to see Manchester City win this Chmpanios league anymore because they shouldn't win the tournament. Manchester City is very much dependent on some layer and if they lose these players they won't work as the team we know anymore that's why I think they should win the title this time and another team like Real Madrid got more chances than Manchester City.

I find it amusing, what could possibly be wrong with it? It is fair to say that any team, regardless of their previous record, has the potential to come out victorious and claim any trophy. As long as manchester city has the ability to get another UCL trophy again and why not? real madrid has got it three times in a row in the last decade. There's nothing wrong with all of them.
They are putting all of their efforts to help the club in winning UCL this season and it will happen and nothing wrong with it. I think that any clubs are trying to use everything they have to win UCL and tere's no need to feel worry about that.

If there was a club who totally depends on some players and what's wrong with it. They were winning caused by their players and this is the fact. Manchester city was just as good as real madrid at this moment.
Manchester city deserves a chance to win like real madrid as well. Did you think that real madrid was not relying upon its players too? To be honest, your statement was very weird.

I know that some people might not like that to see manchester city to win the game but if they have power to make it happen and there's nothing wrong with it.

When it comes to UEFA Champions League competition, it's weigh different from random domestic leagues because it's consider the tougher title in the European football world. The target of every potential elite club is winning the UCL but it can't just happen without overnight, there will be presence of immense hardwork. I'm in support with any team that can boldly become very consistent and recording streak winnings. Who cares about a club that doesn't stand strong enough to face challenges? Ofcourse everyone focuses on club that would be able to win matches without difficulties.

I think City will be favorites to win when they have Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne. These two players really brought City to the peak of their performance. So without those two players I think City are not favorites to win. We can see how City drew against Crystal Palace and was defeated by Aston Villa. Without KDB they cannot develop tactics and pass the ball well. And without Haaland they don't have a great finisher on the front line who will take the slightest chance into a goal. So I hope they both can return as soon as possible before City have to be eliminated from the Champions League.
Haaland has big impact on how finalising their attacks, because he is a great finisher on the front line. His clinical goal-scoring ability is indeed a significant asset for City who turns even the slightest chance into a goal. Without him, City may lack the cutting edge in the attack that can make the crucial difference., as evidenced by the struggles against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.

Kevin De Bruyne has a big role in developing tactics and orchestrating the team's passing game. His vision, creativity, and ability to control the flow of the match are pivotal for City's success. Those are reasons to put  City as favorite, given their influential roles. While City has a deep squad, certain players have unique qualities that can be irreplaceable in certain situations, especially at the highest levels of competition like the Champions League. And Manchester City have a great squad depth when key players are sidelined.
Erling Haaland is a very influential player for Manchester City and he is the player that Pep Guardiola relies on most in scoring goals. Because Erling Haaland last season was the creator of the most goals in the Premier League so he was able to bring Manchester City to the title thanks to his tenacity on the front lines. So It is not surprising that his absence makes Manchester City's front line unstable and makes the club's performance not work optimally and only relies on the tactics implemented by Pep Guardiola.

The absence of Kevin De Bruyne is also very influential because Erling Haaland's performance is also not as sharp as last season where Kevin De Bruyne can help Erling Haaland in creating goal opportunities. Without him Erling Haaland also feels a loss because there is not attacking midfielder who can appear to replace him. So when these two players when he returns to the club, Manchester City will return to its best performance because the contribution between the two of them is very influential in Manchester City's success.

I think the final match will be Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich. City is indeed very strong in the Champions League and they are also the defending champions. De Bruyne's injury had a big impact on City's game and we know last season they won the treble with a big role from KDB and Haaland. So I favor Madrid vs Munich which will be the final match. I put City in third place and Barcelona in fourth place. I think everyone should not forget Barcelona because they are also one of the strong teams in the Champions League even though their current performance does not make them one of the favorites to win this season.

I don’t think that the likelihood of such a final is high - firstly, the teams can meet at earlier stages of the tournament, and secondly, they are not favorites. Take a look at the bookmakers' odds on who will reach the final:

Manchester City 1.96

Fc Bayern Munich 2.58

Real Madrid 3.19

Arsenal 3.68

Now the quotes are a little distorted because City have the easiest opponent of all possible and we can say that City are already in the quarter finals, but in any case they are the favorites of the tournament and in order for us to see the final without them, someone has to knock them out. I would like to believe that someone will succeed.

Why's Arsenal on this list? They're not the side to leave there,I'd rather want to see Paris Saint Germans.

Real Madrid with that odd because they have no good enough striker. They're still my favorites to win regardless.

Bayern Munich are good I just double doubt the impact Thomas Tuchel can bring Into Bayern Munich and the players,  Manchester City yet again Buzzing with the return of Kevin De Bruyne back. He's already made a great impact right now in this game. They have a very good chance of defending but I won't support until they do win.
Actually, I understand your Arsenal stance. I wouldn't write them off despite their struggles. They're tenacious after losing three straight in the league and could surprise us in the finals. Kevin De Bruyne's return boosts Manchester City. He had a big impact, but football can change quickly. City may be at its best, but UCL is different. At Bayern, I'm undecided about Tuchel. The Bayern coach is good, but whether he can maximize their potential is unclear. How it ends intrigues me

UEFA Champions League is different that's why a club like Arsenal cannot go far, all of these things they did during the group stage was just for the main time. How consistent can they do that? They're not the club in the Champions League to fight for sthay trophy. They're bottlers and should make sure they go about trying to win the Premier League Competition.
A bit surprised to see that how intermilan has been unfavored this season to win the UCL and bookies put arsenal in which was not understandable and that's my took from the result of this. Arsenal never had good run in the UCL. This club has no UCL trophy and this season there are so many strong teams in UCL. Im doubting arsenal to go to the semi final. Arsenal was not a club that has winning mentality in any of prestigious competitions. What you said that above was true and i strongly disagree with this.
As a better and i just try to realize the fact that if real madrid and city are the most favorite but arsenal? what? Arsenal's performance in the EPL has been disappointing, as they have been unable to secure a victory. The club is still far from being of champion in UCL.

Arsenal was always failed in the europa league which means that if UCL's level is still far higher compared to the arsenal. People were being very delusional to think that arsenal can win the competition. This club is going to go out soon.
It's only a matter of time till we will see arsenal to be veiwers of UCL like us. I think that it doesn't even matter how much money being spent by the club but it's about how the club has winning mentality.
Real madrid has owned it all. The most powerful club in UCL this season.

You're right, I believe the bookmakers are purely English and they promote clubs from the English Premier League Competition very well.

They don't have what it take. Just like you've said Inter Milan who went as far as to the Champions League finals last season are nowhere to be seen? They also have the best attacking system in Italian Seria A. They should be ahead when it get to the favorites for the Champions League Competition.
