I think their biggest chance to win the Champions League title was when they had Messi and Neymar right beside Mbappe. Despite its being like a dream team the reality wasn't like that at all I'm afraid. Neymar got injured very often and missed a lot of matches. Messi and Mbappe still had really good statistics but this was still not enough to win the title here.

Now PSG have made big changes in their squad. They are going on with younger talents now. But we clearly see the bad affects of not playing as a complete team yet.

They need to improve their chemistry as much as possible to get ready for big challenges. Normally the transfers they have made for the attacking side are actually really good ones.

Manchester city did have a lucky draw, with their current form, Copenhagen won just 2 of their six league matches and was just lucky that other in the group performed inferior.
Among 9 English, German and spanish team in the top 16, none of them are competing each other except for Leipzig vs Real Madrid, just because there are no other team left.
And English, German and Spanish are expected to come victorius and the only competition I feel is for Real Sociedad who would play with PSG.

Real Madrid is the only team in group phase round success won all matches and 16 of round will face RB Leipzig, actually the Bundesliga teams is not difficult team opponent and will be easily qualify to quarter final phase. The lack of consistency in Manchester City's lineup is the only problem preventing them from replicating their previous thrashing performances. I kinda feel that if manchester city is going to win the game with narrow score. I consider that copenhagen is quite strong right now.
It's equal with manchester united and galatasaray. The result will be far different compared to the last season. Im not expecting manchester city to win with huge scores again. City is not playing like previous seasons.

17 games with 13 wins 3 draws and 1 loss I think that's very consistent because when compared to some of the leading clubs like Manchester City and Bayern in their domestic competitions of course Madrid's consistency now is still a little better than them and I think saying a good result like that with inconsistency is not something that is suitable at all because after all they are doing well now in domestic competitions and the Champions League.
Some clubs like Dortmund or Arsenal are still very good but the strong candidates I think are still the same because in the end, apart from Manchester City, Madrid are definitely one of the strongest candidates again to win the trophy.

Now the drawing has been determined and looking at the opponents that will be faced, I honestly expect a bigger big match than before but indeed for now only Barcelona against Napoli and Inter who will face Atletico alone can be considered a big match in this round of 16.

One person I respect much in the Real Madrid squad is their fatherly figure coach - Ancelotti. He is a man of wisdom and experience and he uses both as his unconquered armour. How he blends the strength of the young players with experience of the old players to produce unique results amazes me. Gradually, he has gotten a consistently good squad such that the young ones can do what we know about Real Madrid.

It's really too early to know which is the favorite to win this seasons UCL, but no doubt Real Madrid remains one of the favorites to win.
Napoli is still waxing strong along with Arsenal, Dortmund, Bayern and even Man City. We would however be more certain after this next stage of finals has been played.

It's caused by the achievements owned by real madrid in UCL even all of competitions. This team is a team with most of trophies in the european continent. There was no club that is standing on the same level as rela madrid. I would rather than called arsenal is not competitive compared to the dortmund.
Arsenal is having worst achievement in UCL compared to the dortmund. It seems like that real madrid will be owning this season. Madrid has some young talented players but these players were fully experiencing in helping madrid to gather more trophies.

It's a boomerang for dortmund to let bellingham to join in the real madrid. Real madrid is just getting stronger even with some players which have not yet entered in their golden age.
Madrid is still the strongest team right now with the highest power compared with an other club like bayern or city. UCL will be owning by madrid. We can watch and see madrid to get UCL this season.

Very easy opponents for Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG and Manchester City. I don't think that the favorites will have any problems against Leipzig, Copenhagen, Lazio and Real Sociedad. Somebody would think that the draw for the elimination phase was rigged in favor of the big and rich teams. Grin

Arsenal might be facing problems versus Porto. Barcelona and Napoli are both in bad condition, but I expect lots of goals in the two matches between these teams(and Barcelona would probably eliminate Napoli). Inter vs. Atletico and Dortmund vs. Eindhoven seem to be the most unpredictable matches in this round of the UEFA Champions League.

One person I respect much in the Real Madrid squad is their fatherly figure coach - Ancelotti. He is a man of wisdom and experience and he uses both as his unconquered armour. How he blends the strength of the young players with experience of the old players to produce unique results amazes me. Gradually, he has gotten a consistently good squad such that the young ones can do what we know about Real Madrid.
Currently that many players are injured but the effect is not felt. Real Madrid is obviously a strong contender of the champions league and they can win it, especially as the defending champion which is Manchester city has dropped two steps from the last season form.

Yes, Manchester City is in much worse form than last year. They suffered back-to-back losses in the Premier League. Their performance in the UCL was good, but their groups consisted of teams that were slightly weaker than them. They were matched with Copenhagen, which is also a team that can be considered weak. Currently, the fixture advantages work entirely in Manchester City's favor. I think Real Madrid is the cup favorite this year. I hope the cup will be lifted up in their hands this year.

Guardiola must be able to improve in terms of Manchester City's defense as well as their attacking power which in my opinion has not been very good since KDB was injured, but on the other hand also seeing Manchester City's social media KDB starting to return to training sessions, I think KDB can revive Manchester City's strength like in last season. but I still think that Manchester City will find it difficult to win the title this season.
