Real Madrid has shown a lot of dedication this season and even last season in la liga and champions league, and there was high hope of them winning last season but their focus was on champion’s league and they lost the two leagues and this season is another season. And the only serious team I see in La Liga that can stay on the same point is Girona. The players' experience is also very important, and they will look for possible ways to compromise when there is a challenge. Bellingham's injury will affect the club's performance, but they will look for an alternative to fill in for Bellingham. And Manchester City is not in the best of shape, so it will be even more difficult for them. And the fact that Manchester City is unstable will benefit a lot of clubs. And Barcelona is worst and they won’t even go far they are not in good condition.
Real Madrid this season seem to be putting more effort in the UCL and I see them as potential winners because their performance so far in the champions league is such that they have been able to put up very brilliant performance all through the group stage which seemed much easier than the UCL round of sixteen and in the draws they will be facing Leipzig.

Bellingham's injury bis no doubts definitely going to have some effect on real Madrid performance but then I think it will be very obvious in their la Liga performance than their UCL performance because in the UCL they seem to put in more focus regardless they are still at the top in la Liga tho. Manchester city current draw down is such that Madrid can possibly take advantage of to further make their chances of winning the UCL although Manchester city will wan to defend the title as the most recent champions

It seems like Arsenal have a favourable matchup for themselves to reach the quarter finals. I mean I don't think Porto are good enough to eliminate Arsenal in the Champions League. Porto lost both of their games against Barcelona in the group stage for example. I think Barcelona are even playing worse than Arsenal these days.

Considering that Arsenal should be able to get past them easily. Maybe Porto can defend them stronger home and they might get a draw as well. But at Emirates I would just expect Arsenal to destroy them by a gap of a few goals.  Smiley

The first leg will be held on February 21 at the Estadio do Drago, and the second leg will be held on March 12 at the Emirates Stadium.
Both games took place right before the big game in the Premier League
The first leg was held just before Newcastle, and the second leg before Chelsea.
Both are home games, but not games you want after a European night
This won't be easy. This will be a tough match. However, if the Gunners can come close to yesterday's performance with a good finish, Arsenal will come out victorious.
It will be a very tough day for the Gunners because at almost the same time they also have to collect full points to maintain their top position in the domestic league and it feels like it will not be easy for them to get through. Maybe from now on Mikel Arteta still has enough time to develop his players so they can maintain their current performance. They also have to implement exercises to strengthen their stamina well so that during difficult times they don't feel tired. Mikel Arteta also has to pay attention to player rotation and so that everything can run smoothly he must give opportunities to his players against weak teams that they should be able to beat.

The match against Porto is the road to the quarterfinals and of course Arsenal will focus everything on the first and second legs because after all Arsenal have not experienced this competition for quite a long time. On the other hand, they haven't been in the higher stages for a long time, so they have to target a better place this season so that next season they can come back with much greater strength.

It seems not easy match for arsenal. Porto has been known as one of good team in the UCL. Arsenal may be losing against it if it will not be lucky enough. Porto will able to beat arsenal. Look at the performance from porto.
It was as good as barcelona. Porto has been also collecting the same points like barcelona. I would like to call that porto is in the same level as barcelona.
Arsenal needs to be careful against it or it will be out from UCL.

The Porto team cannot be considered weak. This group is quite strong. And in the past we have seen Porto surprise everyone by performing well against big teams. So if Arsenal fail to perform well against Porto, then they will be eliminated from the Champions League. Against Porto will definitely have to play very carefully. And the defense must be kept strong. In the group stage match against Porto, Barcelona won both matches as Barcelona's defense was very strong. If they can keep their defense strong I would say Arsenal have the ability to beat Porto. Comparatively stronger Arsenal team than Porto.

No no no, you are wrong my friend. Porto was strong enough and never try to underestimate it. Arsenal is still on its prime but this club is still being trophyless. Porto was almost equal to the arsenal and i don't think there will be no club that is going to dominate the game in this match.
Porto was also strong enough to beat arsenal. Arsenal is only having a little bit advantage over porto in head to head but porto can give you surprise anytime. I would like to see porto to perform as good as arsenal. This will make the match becomes even more attractive than before.

- Real Madrid managed to top group C
- Real Sociedad managed to top group D
- Atletico Madrid managed to top Group E
- Barcelona managed to top Group H.
More than any other domestic league. This means that La Liga clubs such as Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid showed extraordinary progress to become group winners. There is certainly no doubt about Real Madrid and Barcelona because these two clubs are at different levels. Because what I'm most worried about is that Real Sociedad's performance in the Domestic League is not as good as UCL, it's an achievement to be able to lead group E and be above Inter Milan. Real Sociedad could be the dark horse club in the last 16 of the UCL. The public will focus on competition between big clubs so that Real Sociedad can take advantage of this competitive situation by moving unnoticed.

Arsenal technically had the advantage against Porto but I don't think it will be easy in 90 minutes. Porto does come from a competition that is not very good in terms of popularity in domestic competitions but in terms of experience and ability Porto is also not much different from Arsenal at this time so this could be something that could be a little difficult for Arsenal.
Although Araenal is still the favorite in this match but still I feel that this will not be easy.

Arsenal this season just returned to the Champions League competition after a long time they were out of the way and this could trigger some chances because after all the experience is still quite important in my opinion. In terms of strength and fast competition, the EPL is stronger at the moment than Porto therapy on the other hand I also believe Porto will put up a tough fight in this Round of 16 match.

The performance of the Real Madrid team is very stable. They are dominating in Champions League and La Liga. However, they do not have any experienced players in their forwards. If Bellingham suffers a major injury, Madrid's performance is likely to be unstable. Vini and Rodrygo's performance cannot be relied upon. Their performance is erratic.
Yes, Real Madrid's weakness this season is not having a classy striker, and also their defense is not strong because many players are injured. I think Real Madrid's game does not depend on one player, especially Jude, because it has been proven that when Jude doesn't play, Real Madrid can still win. Ancelotti is a smart coach, he can take advantage of the advantages of players, but considering that many of Real Madrid's current players are injured, Real Madrid will have to bring in several new players in the transfer market later. Because with the Laliga and UCL targets, it seems that the squad that Real Madrid currently has is still not enough to achieve these two targets.

Quote
Manchester City have a very strong squad. But their main weakness is in their midfield. Without De Bruyne and Gundogan, City's performance is also slightly weaker than last season.
Man City's weaknesses are visible, without midfielders like KDB and Gundogan they have difficulty winning. Even though they have an attacker who is hungry for goals, it is difficult to score because KDB is the mastermind behind Man City's attack, and Man City has not yet found a replacement for KDB.

Quote
The performance of the Barcelona team has been somewhat unstable since the beginning of the season. It is impossible to predict which matches this team will play well and which matches will play poorly.
I predict Barcelona's journey will not be long in the UCL, maybe their journey will end at the hands of Napoli.

Of the 5 representatives of Spanish teams, only Sevilla failed to advance to the next stage in the Champions League. And the remaining 4 teams from Laliga managed to top each group in yesterday's group stage.
like
- Real Madrid managed to top group C
- Real Sociedad managed to top group D
- Atletico Madrid managed to top Group E
- Barcelona managed to top Group H.

This makes Laliga the most productive league in producing quality clubs this season that are able to continue to go further in the Champions League. I think this is a very extraordinary achievement from Spanish clubs. But a more difficult journey awaits them. Because the most difficult match will be in the round of 16.
Yes, only Sevilla failed to qualify for the UCL group stage. Apart from that, Sevilla failed to make it to the Europa League play off round. Other Laliga teams were able to appear competitive there and managed to come out as group winner, even though they were not as consistent as Real Madrid, but they showed their best and tried hard to get through the group stage. Only Laliga teams dominate the UCL while EPL teams only Manchester City and Arsenal qualified as groups winners, Man Utd and Newcastle failed to qualify for the UCL next rounds and failed to make it to the Europa League play off round.

Manchester and Real Madrid are actually the favorites again this season, but I don't the two of them are too good enough to be finalist this season like they do last season, because so many teams are trying their best to win the Champions League, and as a team, some of them are playing well more than these two teams; all I know is that, this season will come with some surprises.
I doubt if Manchester City could be able to win Real Madrid on the finals if they both eventually qualify to the final of the game because real Madrid is a professional and more experience than Manchester City because they always win Manchester City whenever they meet them on the champions League finals, however I could remember how there last meeting on the champions league finals ended up after all the performance of Manchester City on that final but real Madrid was able to prove to them that they are more deserving to win the champions league than Manchester City, but however let's see how the end of the season will look like because with the consideration of performance real Madrid and Manchester City are the best candidate to qualify for the finals because they don't have much of a rival.

Real Madrid does have a big chance of winning the Champions League apart from Man City, but don't forget that there is also Bayer Munich who also has the mentality to become champions.
For Man City it was a bit tough, they lost several players who last season were able to beat Real Madrid with a landslide score.
But there are many underdog teams that have qualified for the last 16, which will be very interesting because it can make it difficult for some of the big teams who are regular champions.

I see Real Madrid a bit above Bayern Munich. Real Madrid has some room for improvement while they have a decent level all the time, whereas Bayern Munich has some total failures. If they have one of those in the Champions League, it would be game over for them.
Real madrid is far above bayern. The only thing that make bayern looked like a strong club was having kane on its side. We have known so well about how good harry kane as a striker, his ball controll and positioning are the best in the premier league after haaland last season. Having him in the bayern makes the club considerably strong than the last season. This is the biggest threat that was coming from bayern caused by the club has perfect squad this time. Even though real madrid is still having higher quality squad compared to the bayern.

But Manchester City isn't as stable as well. They are way more vulnerable than they have been last season. This season they have played several games where they lost dominance during the game.
Manchester city potentially lose more players soon. Im not having faith in manchester city caused by you know that if city will lose haaland and alvarez and i have nothing to say other than city will be dropping so hard.
I don't wanna see that happen but it seems like that city is going to miss another important player again from the squad. I do believe it will not happen but let's see that how pep will try to deal with this problem.
I hope city will still able to play very well without some important players.

We understand better that Haaland and De Bruyne are key players for Manchester City. There were some players to compensate for De Bruyne's injury, but Haaland cannot be replaced. He is a goal machine and City are struggling without him. I think this also has an impact on them losing consecutive points in the Premier League.

Representatives from the Spanish League are still quite dominant in the Champions League this season and they managed to send three teams into the round of 16, Real Sociedad will face PSG, Atletico Madrid will face Inter Milan and Real Madrid will face Leipzig. Of the three representatives, only Real Madrid has a much greater chance of qualifying for the next round because they face much lighter opponents, while the other two representatives will face fairly even opponents so it is still quite difficult to predict.

The composition of the matches in the round of 16 gives a little insight into Real Madrid and Manchester City and I think both of them will have a much greater chance of qualifying for the next round. But the most interesting match is between Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid because this match will be much more tense because both of them have the ambition to beat each other to qualify for the next round.

This match looks the most interesting so far because it is difficult to decide the winner, but this match could be very boring when Atlético chooses to play defensively and we see only a few goals, or even a boring 0-0. The first matches will show where there will be competition and possible intrigue, so it is still very early to talk about where the most interesting match may be. Perhaps Sociedad will also be able to provide decent resistance to PSG, since the Parisians are now not as strong as they were in previous years.

And actually, if Newcastle can be in another group other than Group F, I think this team will really be able to qualify for the next stage. Because in Group F, even PSG couldn't beat Newcastle. Unfortunately Newcastle is unlucky because they are in Group F which is the hell group in the UCL this season.

And about Real Sociedad I was equally surprised. Because they were even able to hold Inter Milan to a draw in two meetings in the group stage. So I'm starting to think that the round of 16 could actually be tougher than we expected.

The only team from the Premier League that is quite bad is actually Man Utd. They are in a Group they can actually win. At a minimum, Man Utd should be able to be ranked 2nd in the group if they are in good condition. But unfortunately they failed to utilize it well and lost consistency this season. So currently the Spanish team dominates the number of teams that have qualified for the round of 16.
I don't think so because Newcastle's performance this season has really declined, so even though they are not in group F with Dortmund and PSg, the chances of Newcastle being able to qualify for the round of 16 are also very small.
In terms of performance, they are not very good this season and their mentality is also not there when playing in UCL matches.

Yes, Real Sociedad this season is quite surprising, not only in the UCL but in the domestic league they also have quite impressive performance, this is the improvement in performance this season from the Real Sociedad team which makes them as strong as they are now.
In the round of 16, Real Sociedad will face PSG and Real Sociedad has the possibility of getting rid of PSG, I think.

And for Manchester United I think they deserved not to qualify, this team has had a very bad performance this season.

In my personal opinion, the Spanish league ranks just behind the English Premier League. This year, with the dip in form for Manchester United and the lack of experience on the big stage for Newcastle after many years, the Premier League is left with only two representatives, giving the opportunity for Spanish teams to dominate. Apart from the usual names in the UCL like Real, Barca, and Atletico, I was pleasantly surprised by Real Sociedad, topping Group D with an unbeaten record. The probability of a Spanish team winning the UCL this year is quite high.
And actually, if Newcastle can be in another group other than Group F, I think this team will really be able to qualify for the next stage. Because in Group F, even PSG couldn't beat Newcastle. The dominance of the Spain teams during this UCL has been surprising, with half of the groups being won by them, however the performance by Real Madrid seems to be a few steps ahead of the rest and only Manchester City was able to match it, so it seems to me both of those teams are the favorites to face each other on the final, unless they are really unlucky and they happen to face each other earlier on the competition due to the quarterfinal or the semifinal draw.
Representatives from the Spanish League are still quite dominant in the Champions League this season and they managed to send three teams into the round of 16, Real Sociedad will face PSG, Atletico Madrid will face Inter Milan and Real Madrid will face Leipzig. The Champions League will take a long break. and all team conditions can still change. The current top 16 are strong teams that will be difficult to predict. even a team that is predicted to have difficulties can provide a surprise. like Barca and Napoli, the situation may favor Barcelona. That's because Napoli's performance is unstable this season. but in the knockout match, each team will give their best.
The road to the top 8 of the Champions League doesn't look like there will be any luck. This will be hard work from every team. This will be quite a long break, we have to be patient.

Two months is not a big pause for clubs, but I agree that surprises can indeed happen... I can only see Man City and Real Madrid winning the first games... In the other games I'm not sure that the favourites should necessarily win...

Bayern Munich got Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur but they can not dominate Bundesliga like they usually do. They did not spend big transfer money to buy Kane only to win Bundesliga but fail to dominate their domestic league is one of signals that their quality has problems in this season and this can cost them in Champions League when knock out phase is already in.

Real Madrid look to have a balanced squad between attacking and defense, old and young players but the recent serious injury of David Alaba is very unexpected and it might harm their strength in coming months.

I still consider Manchester City as the best competitor in Champions League even they shown some issues in Premier League. They have a deepest squad that can be so helpful for them in a long season. I also know in history there is only one club that can defend their Champions League crown, Real Madrid and Manchester City will be a second club can achieve it if they succeed in this season.

They still have the January Transfer Window to bring in players they feel like would work best for the plans of the club. They signed Harry Kane because they had that role vacant and it was the right call to make for both club and player. Good to see it got finalized.
They'll dominate the Bundesliga when they finally decide to repair the midfied, they have done that with the defense but not with the midfielder's, they need to bring in players who are hungry for success.

Real Madrid in between lacks a good natural goal scorer. In the Champions League they meed one to help them, Jude Bellingham can not do that all alone, I have this feeling they're not going emerge winners. They have survived with the players around, they should make a good decision with signing a backup during the transfer window.

With Kelvin De Bruyne back from Injury, we will see how they approach all the games they're innit. One thing to see them work on would be the defense, because they be conceding too much.

The situation for clubs might see some changes before the Round of 16 UCL matches in February. Specifically, many teams are dealing with injury issues; Barca and Real are actively seeking replacement options in the upcoming January transfer window. Mancity is going through a temporary crisis in the Premier League, hoping that in the upcoming period, they can regain their form to ensure that English representatives don't fall behind their counterparts.

The draw for the round of 16 of the Champions League 23/24 has been completed and we can see that some of the results are quite good. Maybe I'm quite fixated on the Barcelona vs Napoli match later because this is also the dream of coach Maurizio Sarri, who really wants to meet Barcelona through his interview a few days ago. The last meeting between Barcelona and Napoli took place in the 19/20 season and it also happened in the round of 16, but it was Barcelona who won the match on aggregate.

Apart from that, Inter vs Altetico is also very exciting, followed by Real Madrid vs Leipzig and apart from that, I think it's an ordinary match. Manchester City will play Copenhagen and we definitely know who the winner will be. Likewise Porto vs Arsenal and even though Porto will make things a little difficult for Arsenal, I think Arsenal will still be able to qualify for the quarter-finals. The round of 16 matches are still very far away and it will start in mid-February next year.
From the draw for the match schedule that will take place, it is clear that several teams will be able to easily win and successfully qualify for the next round.
And of course from here each team will prepare their squad as well as possible because winning is starting to be very important in this round of 16, I have predictions for Arsenal, PSG, Dortmund, Manchester City, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and also Real Madrid.
These eight team will of course be the favorites and in the analysis I have carried out they tend to have quite big chance of winning all the matches and being able to qualify for the next round.
Real Madrid seems to be strong enough candidate to be able to continue to the final round.

The round of 16 will start in mid-February and we will start to see how each team maintains their lead in each match from the first leg and second leg.
