Now see Arsenal's performance in this group:

Arsenal is in the group of weakest teams and should not have any defeat, as the 3 teams in that group are not doing well in their own right or are teams with very weak squads compared to other teams in the most important leagues. So I don't see Arsenal being able to win the European Champions League, if they manage to get through to another stage and play against a strong team and manage to win, then I'm going to start thinking that maybe they have a chance of reaching the final
Do not look down on Arsenal in the Champions League this season, they have less experience compared to other teams like Madrid, Man City, and others, but they are on form this season with amazing young squad. Losing one match in their group stage should not be used to justify them as a weak team in the competition, they will finish top in the group and will go far in the champions leagues this season if not winning the trophy.

Newcastle's journey in the UCL is proving difficult because they've been down to only few players, they've secured losses in their last games and then their only solution is to win their 2games subsequently on the contest, Dortmund did well in playing and being victorious over them, they have to put extra effort, not giving them much hope because their next game with PSG has a 5% chance of ending with them as the victors.

They're in no wise suffering players' losses at the moment and even if they're to make do with the ones they have left, they'll still have a long way to go trying to build back confidence and even sharing a point at the end of their meetings, but what can they do, they just hope that the Newcastle of late last season and earlier this season would be brought back, notwithstanding, they still pose a threat to some teams in the English Premier League and they can still do their best there.

I'm laughing because, they won the game against Paris Saint Germans and had themselves sitting on the top of the world lol. They snoozed with the both meetings against Borrussia Dortmund at most the first leg when everyone felt they had upper hand and couldn't get a goal scored at home. Some would say because of Injury and shit but they're not going nowhere outta this group stage.

The next six fixtures they'll play need to be seen, they may likely lose four out of the six and I'm sure the game against Parisians would be amongst them.
They won the first leg, PSG would do all they can to win. I trust Luis Enrique, he has the experience to see them at the top.

Almost every season Manchester City dominance for winning Premier League tittle but I don't sure their achievement is easily regarding with fewest points left from 2nd standings team. Crucial on season 2021/22 where one point remaining from Liverpool and last season achievement Manchester City gap 5 points behind Arsenal and their achievement when league almost ended.

I don't think easily for Manchester City defend their Champion League tittle, in Champion League history only Real Madrid can winner two season in a row and not any team can't winning it. Not easily for Manchester City defend their Champion League tittle in this season because have Madrid, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan on the top level will make it more interested who will be the winner. Looks like if not any injury players, Real Madrid have bigger opportunity to be the winner and Inter Milan on second place as favorite team.

This is the first time I am seeing someone speculating and adding Inter Milan amongst the top best teams to win the champions league trophy this season. I am not too surprised because they have also been performing well in their group stage matches. Real Madrid are the only team that have won the champions league trophy back to back, no any other team have done it even in the past. This does not mean that no team will have the potential to do it.

Manchester City performance both in their domestic league and European competitions have been exceptional and we can’t deny that they are worthy of winning the Champions League trophy for the second time if they have good management like last season. They just need to prepare more vigorously, take more training session and look for the best strategy to defeat their closest rivals who can stop them from taking the trophy this season, I mean Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and co.

It is not easy to face big teams like this and eliminate them from a competition that comprises of the greatest teams in Europe. They did it last season but that is not an assurance that they can do it again this season. Extra effort and luck has to be on their side to win this trophy for the second time in a row.

That is why posting only one part of my whole post doesn't make sense and you should also read back when I quoted someone to get an idea of what I am trying to say. There was some sarcasm because someone said that Manchester City has been winning the league easily for quite some time, but that is not true. It was really tough for them and Liverpool pushed them hard. Saying that it is easy for Manchester City to win the league is not correct as they have to work hard for their success as the results show.

Arsenal come right after the trio of Manchester City - Bayern Munich - Real Madrid as for the biggest title contenders. Bookies are giving quite a good level of chance for Arsenal to be competitive for the Champions League title. Arteta has made a really good level of progress with Arsenal since the day he joined the team.  Smiley

They are getting better and more consistent in the Premier League also on one hand. They are playing ambitiously in the Champions League too. This high effort would end by a good result here hopefully. I especially wonder how good they will be against the biggest title contenders such as the examples I have given.

They beat Manchester City in the Premier League already for example so I wonder what kind of a scenario we would have in the Champions League.  Grin

In my opinion I don't see Arsenal as being one of the favorite teams to win the European Champions League, looking at Arsenal's performance in particular in the European Champions League, they are in group B, and a group that has the following teams

PSV = is a good team from the Netherlands, they are currently at the top of the eredivisie, but in terms of the squad and the league itself, I would say that they are not a strong opponent compared to the top teams in leagues like the premier league, serie A, bundesliga, La liga and Ligue1

Lens = is a team from France, in Ligue1 they currently occupy position number 6, they are not a team that fights for the Ligue1 title, they are far from it, to be honest even seeing them constantly in the European Champions League is something difficult

Sevilla = team from Spain, in La Liga they are currently in position number 13, and in the last 5 games they have not managed to have at least one victory, they have been going through bad times since last season

Now see Arsenal's performance in this group:

Arsenal is in the group of weakest teams and should not have any defeat, as the 3 teams in that group are not doing well in their own right or are teams with very weak squads compared to other teams in the most important leagues. Don't forget that tonalli got banned too. There have been many fans were still questioning the performance from newcastle and that's clear if newcastle was struggling caused by it has no complete squad at this moment. There are only a few players who can still play.
Howe was using the secondary players which were playing even badly. That's also the reason why newcastle was consistently losing against dortmund two times in a row. It's hard for newcastle to be qualified caused by the club needs to win two matches in a row.

Dortmund may able to lock a spot to be qualified for the next round. Im feeling so skeptical with newcastle at this moment. This club does have small chance to be qualified for the next round.
The chance owned by newcastle to win against PSG is pretty small at this moment consider mbappe is also on fire. Im doubting newcastle to pass the group stage.

The teams who will be qualified for the next round will be dortmund and PSG.

Man City is very lucky to have a coach who is very competent and can always solve every problem at the club. It's no wonder Pep Guardiola has received many awards as a coach. Because we all know he has made the teams he coached win many trophies. Even last season, Man City also won 3 trophies in one season. thanks to the expertise of coach Pep Guardiola.

EPL have turned out to become an easy league for Manchester City, consistently winning the Cup as if there's no competitor for them. How can an elite team have an experience coach like Pep Guardiola and not win major trophies? It's impossible, Manchester City have the best leading squad and coach management, there are several settings behind the triumphant Manchester City you see today, I mean enough sacrifice and hardwork have been triggered for such level of club, Manchester City will continue winning because they're always one step ahead and ambitious when it comes to their goals mapped out.

Although Manchester City still successful in the Premier League, but I consider that Manchester City also have a big efforts to get their best achievements. So yes, although Manchester City can still maintain its consistency until now in all competitions including in this Champion League but still, nothing is as easy as imagined. Because after all, in reality Manchester City also had several times to get bad results such as losing and also drawing. But the great thing about Pep Guardiola, is that he is able to overcome such problems well and quickly. So yes, it's no wonder that until now Manchester City still managed to get good results because yes, Manchester City has great management and efforts to achieve success in every season.

Manchester has been targeting reece james even kalvin phillips. Pep has been also trying to get the young talented players to be developed. Manchester city has been also making pre preparation to face the winter transfer season. There will be so many things that need to be done by manchester city. Finding a replacement for kyle walker and de bruyne was a must. This is also the main reason pep is looking for someone who is capable enough, like them.

Olmo for de bruyne, Reece james for walker. Probably they are best choices by pep.
Why are you bothered about the present situation of Manchester City, because I know they can survive without these players and having them around is basically important on the same chapter. Pep Guardiola have everything under control and he's immensely working to improve his team's performance by bringing in more prominent signings next summer, we know Pep Guardiola signings and how these players transform to be better players. He doesn't go for big names, rather he go straight forward for the bigger average players in mediocre teams.

Even though they lost many players, the fact is that Manchester City's performance is still very strong and Pep Guardiola still believes that his club will be able to win the highest title in the Champions League even though there is a decline in the performance of several players, but we will see that Manchester City's chances of being able to qualify for the final round are very large as long as His flagship player Haaland has no problems. I'm sure Manchester City still deserves another trophy.
Enchanced performance for every club but it's very important there are goal contributions for this particular club. Pep Guardiola is one of the most respected and experienced coach in football, he's an important instrument for Manchester City, he's the one responsible for the elevated structure of the club, having coordinate the players and the game strategy, winning becomes a priority for them in every major tournaments they compete. Losing players doesn't determine their status because there performance kept on increasing to be the very best in the league, they've dominated and have come this season to conquer.
Of a truth, Manchester City has lost some of the key players that helped the club go win not just the UEFA Champions League title but also the English FA cup as well as the English Premier League title last season but let's also not forget that there's been some addictions to the squad with the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Jeremy Doku and Josko Gvardiol joining the club during the summer transfer window.
Manchester City for sure is a very strong contender for the European title this season but they seem not to be convincing in their performance  like they were last season
However, Manchester City's performance is still consistent like last season and Pep Guardiola has built this team with a very strong framework so that they are not influenced or dependent on just a few players for the team's performance.
I think this season Manchester City also still has a strong possibility of retaining the Champion League title, although of course it will be very difficult because this is the most prestigious competition on the blue continent so all the top European teams will show their best performance here.

It's all pep's effort to make sure the club will always be stable even when some key players were leaving from the club. Look at how pep has been successfully recruiting some good players that have ben delivered since they were playing for city.
Pep is trying to regenerating the old players to be replace by new talented players but pep was not randomly picking any young talented players to fill that position. He has his own criteria and this makes city can sustain till this time.

Someone like doku has been successfully become a good winger for manchester city. This is a key why manchester city unable to stabilizing its performance in any season. This is also helping city to win EPL three times in a row which is amazing.
City needs to continue its domination in EPL and try to get back to back UCL champion this season.

Losing key players or not, money is to be made even as they also buy players and Matheus Nunes is another good one in addition to the others you've mentioned. Man City is still one of the clubs that would deliver this season, one thing about this club under Pep Guardiola is that they are stable both with the primary players and reserves. The current stance is still not so different from what we had in the last season and some of these new signees are being discovered even more than people thought they were, that's football.

At present, Bayern Munich, Man City and Real Madrid are the clubs doing their best right now with a perfect score at the same time and I have the feeling that one of them might play the final especially if Bayern Munich does not disappoint like they did last season. There is not too much seriousness among other clubs but some like Arsenal, Real Social Dad and Barcelona might make headway as well. It's a tourney as we all know and the competition has just begun, still, with what Man City is performing in their local league and external ones, I believe the team can still be regarded as the number one in the world and winning UCL is at a higher chance.

I may also be curious, whether in the next transfer window Manchester City will bring in new players of course, to strengthen their midfield or maybe their attack line. Because ya, at least losing Bruyne it looks like Manchester City still needs new players who are better of course to play Bruyne main role. Although indeed, so far Manchester City still has a guarantee to reach the final match but if the quality of the squad is only limited to this, it looks like Manchester City will still have difficulty reaching the final match of the Champions League this season.

I cannot justify something that is usually mentioned although it is true that it is always difficult to defend the Champions League title in two consecutive seasons. It is not impossible, Manchester City has a great squad and coach to make history in the Champions League by defending the title in two consecutive seasons. They have a good mentality, squad depth and good moral support because of their performance.

Real Madrid, for whatever reason, is not the favorite main team in the Champions League this season. I have no regrets about it, but Real Madrid still very much deserved it this season after failing last season. This competition is still in the group stage and it is still possible to have some changes after entering the knockout stages. Manchester City are the main favorites this season, that's undeniable although I don't think City will be able to do it.

City dominate not because of the figure of the head coach, but because of the endless money that allows them to buy the best players and due to the fact that they are higher than the FFP. Guardiola became the first coach to spend more than two billion on transfers - fill everything with money, how “brilliant” that is! Everton were punished for just one episode of FFP violation, and City are accused of 115 episodes, but for some reason there is still no punishment.
you are 100% right. This is not justice! Something tells me that someone was bribed.
Indeed, for one episode they give a fine and for 115 episodes they turn a blind eye. Something is not pure here, gentlemen. It is necessary to give everyone the same conditions, then the struggle can be fair. Alas, money rules the world

I read your comment here about the Premier League being easy for Manchester City and I thought I would like to see whether you are right or not.

2019: Manchester City had 98 points and Liverpool had 97 points - very easy!
2020: Liverpool had 100 points and Manchester City had 81 points - very easy!
2021: Manchester City had 86 points and Manchester United had 74 points - very very easy!
2022: Manchester City had 93 points and Liverpool had 92 points - very easy!

It was a close fight for most of the games and I wouldn't call that title easy.

Manchester City wants to achieve what Real Madrid has achieved, but I am sure that Guardiola will repeat on every press conference that it is impossible. But his goal is to win the Champions League a few more times.

I think it's also an exaggeration to say Manchstr City won a title as if there's a rivalry they've got. The fact is that in the previous 2 seasons they won the championship and their points gap with the runner-up position is very tight. Last season they also won because of Arsenal's declining performance. In other words, last season they could be said to be lucky because their main competitors experienced a decline in performance when the season was about to end which ultimately gave them the opportunity to shift Arsenal at the top of the standings. They are strong I admit it, and at the same time their competitors always show a decline when the season is about to end.

Manchester City has become a pretty good club. Rather, this is the merit of Mr. Guardiola. With his appearance, Mancity began, if not to lead, then to show results close to this. The Blues' last game with Chelsea proved this. the 4-4 score showed that there are nuances in defense... but this does not deprive them of the right to get the trophy.

This is Newcastle's first season in the Champions League. Newcastle performed well in the first season. If Newcastle get a chance to play in the Champions League in the future, they can perform better. Moreover, there are no star players in Newcastle's squad. However, Newcastle are able to perform well due to coach Eddie Howe's excellent match strategy. If Newcastle management gives coach Eddie Howe bigger funds then maybe he will be able to strengthen the team.
It is very difficult for Newcastle to qualify for the next round of the Champions League. The team will play against PSG and Milan in the last two matches. Newcastle are likely to lose both matches.
As a "newcomer" team in the Champions League, they actually did a good job. The competition they show is also good, if only they did not join this group F and had an easier group, I am very sure they would be able to qualify from the group stage.
With still having a chance to qualify for the next round, it's something good that they got in this round too. Because if we look at the other groups, then there is at least 1 of them that has already confirmed themselves to be eliminated in the group stage. Hope is still there, they cannot just give up and must maximize the 2 matches available.

I agree with you. Had Newcastle not been in Group F, they might have qualified for the knockout rounds. Newcastle are in one such group, called the Group of Death. All four teams are strong here. Dortmund, Milan and PSG are no less powerful team. And all the teams have the ability to qualify for the knockout rounds. I'd say Newcastle were unlucky. They are drawn in such a tough group in their first year of qualifying for the Champions League.

However, expect Newcastle to play well in their next two matches. But they are unlikely to win against PSG and Milan. However, there is a possibility of a draw in both the matches.

Losing players doesn't determine their status because there performance kept on increasing to be the very best in the league, they've dominated and have come this season to conquer.

They lost most of them creativity since players from last season left the club and it feels like they've lost that drive and zeal this season, truthfully from the past games, they don't look sharp at most the midfielder's. There's no hunger like we saw last season.
Doku has been a great signature for City, and he has entertained the fans as well supported his teammates.
Mateo Kovacic hasn't been a good replacement for IIkay Gundogan honestly. Josko Gvardiol has impressed and Pep Guardiola is okay with the energy he has brought into the squad in defending and also attacking.

Kyle Walker also needs to be sold out, he's had a great time with Manchester City. Its a good time to see him leaving and making investment towards signing a younger right fullback.
