You know what impressed me the most? It is not that one game that Copenhagen has played so well in the Champions League group. Every bad team could have a great and lucky day. What impressed me so much about Copenhagen is that they played four great games in the group, could have tied the game against Bayern Munich, could have won the game away from home against Galatasaray, won the game against Manchester United and lost the other game with only one goal in England. This is what made me think twice about this team and how I underestimated them. I thought that this is going to be an easy group for Manchester United and Bayern Munich, but seriously this was a tough group for them and Manchester United will probably fail to pass it.

The team is not tough for Bayern Munich because they’ve won all of the matches they’ve played in the group, only Manchester United will see the group very tough for them to pass through because of how many points they’ve earned, their position on the table and their chances of qualifying to the next round of the competition which is very much unlikely seeing how they are playing now even in their domestic league. Like I have said in the past, Manchester United underrated the other two teams; Galatasaray and Copenhagen which they needed not to and play with full force with them. They had their chances in the past already but were not able to convert it to their advantage. They have only earned 3 points with 4 matches already played. Their two remaining matches could in the best case be a draw and a draw which will not give them a qualification to the next round of the competition.

It's true, Newcastle were really unlucky because after waiting so long to play in the UCL again, they were included in a group containing strong teams, just like Union Berlin who had to face Real Madrid and Napoli. However, Newcastle's condition is very different from Union Berlin, where it is no longer possible for them to qualify for the next round, they still have a big chance because the points gap between the teams is small. Only needing 1 win and 1 draw, I think they will be able to qualify for the next round.

Newcastle United have shown exemplary qualities in the champions league even when many of us thought they won’t make it out of the group stage given the group and the teams they were being placed into after the draws. They have just two matches to play and they still have equal opportunities just like the remaining three teams to qualify for the next round of the competition. I hope they will be able to win their next two matches or gather some points that will give them a qualification to the next round. I respect them for their good performance and I wish to see them qualify for the next round of the competition.

Although Im happy for Newcastle in the Champions League, I cant help but worry about them. Especially being in the dreaded Group F, their trip has been a wild ride. I didnt think they had a chance at first, like a lot of other people did, especially after that first game. They have been a nice surprise with how they've played since then, especially against teams like PSG. Even in such a tough group, they've shown that they can handle themselves.
More importantly they lose many players, they can only degrade to Europa League or get nothing. They can't get any new player because the transfer window still not yet open, I guess it's fine to lose as they already get experience, this is their first time to enter Champions League with the current players. Not many team make an outstanding achievement for their first league.
Newcastle president have to approve some money to allow their coach to go after all those potential players that their contract will soon be over from their team, so that they will have full confident that they can still improve before the end of the tournament. Players like Osimhen, Mbappe who contract will soon end from PSG and Napoli, and it will give Newcastle united to improve fast, if their coach will convince their president to approve money to sign them in and, they will recover the money back  because the two players are good in the area of strikers and they will make Newcastle united proud.

Since they cannot get a new players now, Newcastle united coach should focus on those two players Osimhen and Mbappe, once the transfer window is open because their fans are not happy the way their strikers are not showing any sign of improvement in this champions league competition.

Manchester United is filled with injured players. Goalkeeper Andre Onana was added to the general list. While playing for the Cameroon national team in qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, the goalkeeper was injured. Thus, he was added to the club’s list of injured: Hoylund, Eriksen, Evans, Martinez.

The previous landslide victory against Celtic put Atletico in first place in Group E with 8 points. However, this will not guarantee that they can qualify easily because the competition is still open with two other teams, namely Lazio and Feyenoord, who have collected 7 and 6 points respectively. These three teams each have a difference of 1 to 2 points and the remaining two matches will determine the fate of these three teams to qualify for the round of 16.

In the current situation, it doesn't seem likely that Celtic will advance to the next level. This is due to the fact that it appears difficult for them to win the final two competition games, given the present standings. This mistrust stems from the belief that Celtic is not as strong as the other clubs in the group. In addition, because all three of the clubs in the group have nearly identical points, each team is driven to work even harder to advance to the next round, which heightens the competition and makes Celtic's road to success even more difficult.

Quote
In my opinion, Atletico is still the favorite to qualify considering they are in the top 16 of the Champions League and maybe in second place we will see an exciting competition between Lazio and Feyenoord. Actually I prefer Feyenoord to qualify with Atletico, but sometimes Lazio's mentality in this competition cannot be underestimated and they have a good defense. So, I hope there will be surprises in group E later which will be no less exciting than the other groups.

As of right now, Lazio and Feyenoord are the two teams closest to Atletico Madrid in the group rankings, with seven and six points, respectively. This suggests that Atletico Madrid is in a risky scenario and highlights the need for improved play to achieve round of 16 qualification.Atletico Madrid doesn't have to relax even though they lead the team standings because the narrow point differential highlights how close the group is to one another. It looks like the next games will be difficult, and we don't know yet how it will end. Atletico Madrid's qualification status is difficult to predict right now, more information about their group destiny will become clear when the next game takes place.

AC Milan will face Borussia Dortmund on the next UCL matchday, this match will also be a home match for them which makes them have a greater chance of getting 3 points. Apart from that, bookies also show that AC Milan is the favorite to win with odds @ 1.95 on the 1X2 bet. If they really win the match, they will be in second place in Group F or could even be top of the standings if Paris Saint-Germain is unable to get full points when facing Newcastle.
This group was the group of death to me because almost all the teams in this group are good.Newcastke is so unfortunate to be in this kind of group in their first time of qualifying for champions league after a long while.I am surprised for Dortmund, that they are the people topping the group, but I'm still feeling that PSG will get eliminated with Newcastle in this group because the last game they played against Milan,I thought they were going to win,I was surprised that Milan still won them.It simply means that PSG is no longer the way it used to be when Neymar and Messi were still in the team, althought they didn't get to the final of the competition any time, but they were always a threat to teams because of the stars in the team.

It's true, Newcastle were really unlucky because after waiting so long to play in the UCL again, they were included in a group containing strong teams, just like Union Berlin who had to face Real Madrid and Napoli. Anyone who watched the second leg game between Copenhagen and Manchester United last week will definitely not want to underestimate the strength of the Copenhagen team. The resilience spirit of the is like that of team who's desperately trying to make it out of the group and knowing fully well that a win against Galatasaray in their next game can be enough to see them make it to the knockout stages of the competition, I think they'll even show more strength in that very game. In the first game they played against Galatasaray this season at the home of the Turkish champions, Copenhagen got a 2:2 draw and with the support of their home fans, they can take all three points in the game against Galatasaray.

During the first half of the group stage, if you watched the game they played first, Copenhagen schooled Manchester United how to play as they dominated them in the midfied. ( The team that dominates the midfield controls and would most likely win the match )
Manchester United gave thanks to both Harry Maguire and Andrea Onana who decided how that game ended for them.

Copenhagen in the second leg also did awesome, they shouldn't have won the game if Erik Ten Hag had changed the game to more of a defensive formation. Anyways they did better than Manchester United that's why they took three points home.
Against Bayern Munich, they was a pain in the neck for the reigning Bundesliga Champions who found life difficult in the first half.
I watched that second leg game between Copenhagen and Manchester United and I can attest to the fact that the team is very strong one that plays with so much determination and resilience. In their first game of the group stage, they drew against a Galatasaray team that defeated Manchester United at Old Trafford and that goes a long way to explain how strong the Copenhagen team is and can be.
They're currently above Manchester United and have the same number of points with Galatasaray and I think they stand a good chance of progressing to the knockout stages of the competition

Never underestimate teams like Copenhagen and Galatasaray is the lesson that every team can learn from this group. Manchester United fell for both Copenhagen and Galatasaray despite having the better team. But not only Manchester United, even Bayern Munich was facing big struggles against Galatasaray and could and should have lost the game. I think it is time to acknowledge for these favorite teams that these seemingly weaker teams can still fight back.

But I disagree about Manchester United and what they were supposed to be as you said. Manchester United is having problems for a while now and I am sure that there were people who bet against them because they knew that this is not gonna be easy for them and they were correct. I didn't expect Manchester United to lose those two games, but I was far from sure that they would win both games.

In my opinion I don't see any other team in Group A capable of beating Bayern Munich, but with 2 match remaining, I thinks Bayern Munich will be more relaxed because they are guaranteed to qualify for the round of 16 because Bayern Munich has collected enough points to be able to qualify, while the three other clubs in group A have points that are almost close together but all three still have their own chances of qualifying along with Bayern Munich, it's quite difficult to see the opportunities between these three club but I'm a little doubtful about Manchester United they have fewer points comparing the two rival and I admit thats Copenhagen and Galatasaray can not be underestimated because in fact Manchester United did not manage to beat these two team easily, perhap because Manchester United experienced a decline in performanced so they could not perform optimally in the Champions League.

So, I hope there will be surprises in group E later which will be no less exciting than the other groups.
Just like i said before the competition for the team who will be qualified in group E is belongs to 3 teams Atletico Madrid, Feyenoord and Lazio so these teams had equal chances to qualified but indeed if we see from the schedules Atletico Madrid is more hard compared to Lazio this because Atletico Madrid upcoming match is against Feyenoord although in the first meeting Feyenoord was lose but this team cannot easily to beated and at home Feyenoord records was very fantastic that from 8 latest home matches Feyenoord can able to gets 7 wins so these records is proven Feyenoord was very strong during playing at their home ground and even i was thinking probably Feyenoord can able to overcomes Atletico Madrid and if this really happend then Atletico Madrid will be in a difficult situation especially for 6th match they have to fight against Lazio
But those are domestic league statistics and since this is a much more difficult competition, I think it will be difficult to maintain the lead even if Feyenoord plays at home. Atletico is not an opponent they can always face every season and I think Atletico's record is much better in the Champions League than several seasons ago as the top team.

So in my opinion, even if it's an away game for Atletico, they will still appear confident and bring home the win. On the other hand, Lazio does have an advantage in the next match because it will be against Celtic and they will definitely get 3 additional points. So this competition will last until the final match of the group stage and we can still enjoy everything.

Yes they have done a good job so far in the Champions League group stages. They have confirmed themselves to be in the round of 16 with Inter Milan representing group D. In the last 2 matches they will play, they can be more relaxed because they can rotate players to anticipate things that are not desirable. Things like this are an advantage in itself, because they can breathe more in the midst of this very busy schedule.
La Liga is a bit of a struggle right now, which is inversely proportional to what they can do in the Champions League. The increased competition in La Liga is one of the causes in my opinion.

Real Sociedad sacrificed some games in the La Liga I'm afraid while they were trying to get maximum number of points in 4 games in the Champions League. Was it worth it? I think it was definitely.  Smiley

From now on they can concentrate on upcoming La Liga games easier to get better results. But they wouldn't just shift all of their focus there of course. They would try to qualify as the leader in the Champions League as well. But I don't feel like they will make it considering the last game is away against Inter.  Sad
Actually looking at the current situation I think it is still very feasible because their performance in La Liga is also not too bad even though in the last 5 matches they lost 2 times but that came from Barcelona and Atletico so I still feel that it cannot be considered as sacrificing performance in domestic competitions because they have also worked hard in these 2 competitions.
But now with them qualifying for the next phase (especially they are at the top now) then it is a very good thing and a very good achievement for them in this case which regardless of whether they are considered sacrificing domestic competitions or not, the results are comparable to the achievements in the Champions League at this time.

Man United position in the Champion League is quite pressed, like it or not, Copenhagen and Galatasaray have shown how their enthusiasm can change the mentality of their players on the field. Man United potential to qualify is very thin, even if it has to fall once it deserves to be obtained as a form of lesson where mental readiness, stable players and most importantly qualified coaches will be complementary. Galatasaray and Copenhagen may not have top players like Man United but when on the field teamwork, getting rid of each other's egos creates a more manageable match path.
Regarding teamwork, Copenhagen and Galatasaray are more solid than Manchester United. I admit that currently Ten Hag has quality players in his squad, because the players are not connected well making Manchester United game directionless. Now Manchester United is under pressure, they have to fight to get a ticket to the last 16 in the remaining two matches.

Galatasaray also has the same desires as Manchester United, they certainly will not allow them to lose points when playing at home against Manchester United. If you look back a little at when Manchester United were defeated by Copenhagen, it is very unlikely that Manchester United could get points at the Galatasaray base.

The teamwork on the field is remarkable and the emotions that the coaches bring into the mix are also indispensable for their success. The Copenhagen coach looks like he would suffer from several heart attacks over 90 minutes and this is what electrifies the players as well.

But it is quite simple for Manchester United to be put into realistic terms; if they don't win the next game, it is over for them in the Champions League. Of course a draw would still keep them alive, but they would need a win in the game against Bayern Munich and a draw in the last game between Copenhagen and Galatasaray. That's not going to happen and I don't believe that Manchester United has a 30% chance to win the game against Galatasaray. I think it will end in a draw in a best case scenario for Manchester United.

Real Madrid had some failures as well. They tied their home game against Rayo Vallecano, they also tied their game against a weak Sevilla team that couldn't win a game in ages and they lost the game against Atletico Madrid, which is not a big deal but still. Manchester City is one game behind Real Madrid if you compare the domestic leagues and if they win it they are about equal with Real Madrid. It is just 1 point. But in regards to Manchester City I think I understand what you mean. They are not the same as last season, but still very good and more importantly, good enough to beat any other team in the Champions League. But yes Bayern could be an interesting team for the final besides some others of course.
Last season when Man City won the Champions League it looked so strong and solid, Pep Guardiola's team was very difficult to beat in any competition last season. But this season they don't look as strong as last season and we can see some of the defeats they faced in the Premier League against clubs that were far below them. This is something to consider when looking at their condition in the domestic league, although we will not try to make predictions solely relying on the quality of their play in the English league.

I still see the opportunity for Real Madrid, Man City, Bayern Munich and AC Milan as strong candidates as teams that will qualify for the semifinals and I want to see Real Madrid who will face Bayern Munich in the final. Hopefully these four teams will not meet each other in the knock-out so that the semifinals and finals will be more competitive and exciting. What do you think about the predicted odds, is there a possibility that Real Madrid will face Bayern Munich in the final?

AC Milan not so much anymore as they did show some deficits that I thought they wouldn't have. Since they began with great attacking performances, I did not expect them to have so many problems scoring goals while having so many chances. I would rather add Inter Milan to the selection of clubs that have a good chance to win the Champions League title.

Manchester City seemed to be unbeatable last season, but I agree that this season it's not quite like that.

The way Newcastle are performing with their average squad is admirable. They beat a strong PSG team by a big margin in the Champions League match. We saw a good performance from the Newcastle team. But I would be happy if Newcastle could qualify for the Europa League. I'm not sure if Newcastle will finish third in the Group F table.
However, Newcastle has the potential to do well in the Europa League if they play in the Europa League. Also, the Newcastle management is very rich. They can strengthen their team by adding star players if they want. Newcastle management has this capability.
Newcastle is looking really promising in their group and their performance since this season in the champions league and premier league aswell have been little above average and it's really worth the commendation because they are brilliant with their performance so far and are suprising us with really good performance.

I least expected they would be really this good at this point although they weren't bad at all in the beginning but they were just doing average with a little bit of inconsistency such that one will doubt if they would be able to get pass the group stage in the UCL but currently it seems the have got a little hope on their side considering that they have won PSG in their first meeting at home, hopefully they would get a draw away but If they win they their chances to qualify definitely gets better.
Newcastle is not doing well at the moment. A storm of injuries and sanctions hit their main squad, their chances of qualifying for the round of 16 are now slimmer than before. For me, Eddi Howe squad is very difficult to advance to the next round, because they have to beat PSG and AC Milan in the remaining two matches. Even though it is not impossible, the lack of options in the starting XI will make them unlucky.

The most realistic path is to finish in third place and continue competing in the Europa League, but this also requires that they be better than Milan, who are currently in that position. Overall, the fate of the clubs in Group F really depends on each other. I predict Dortmund and PSG will advance to the round of 16 from group F.

Next, Newcastle will be faced with testing weeks, Chelsea, PSG and Man United await them after the international break. With the facts we already know, it is very natural to say that Eddi Howe will experience a headache, considering that the current situation is not in his favor.

But its hard to stay too positive when you see how bad things are for them right now - they're at the bottom and accidents are increasing. It will be very hard to win the game against PSG, especially since it will be played on PSG's backyard. On the other hand, sport is unpredictable, and Newcastle has already shown that they can shock people. Our fingers are crossed that they can find the same drive that helped them beat PSG earlier.
I doubt with Newcastle United opportunity will easy get one ticket to knock out round, actually Newcastle United have good started until second match group round, but loss two matches in a row on third and fourth match round make Newcastle United have little opportunity and dropped to bottom place. Regarding next match PSG is their opponent teams I am not really sure with their opportunity will take three points and secure first or second position standings.

Left two crucial match but most important Newcastle United must win on next match against PSG, if loss three points almost close their way to qualify next round in Champion League and bad result for the first time in last several season where Premier League teams can't qualify with four team in 16th round.

When it comes to Barcelona topic I think it would still be improvement even if they get eliminated right after reaching the 1/8-finals stage. Because I mean they have been unable to even get past the group stage for the last 2 seasons. The fans and the board must be waiting for the team to do better than that finally in this season. Barcelona are very close to guaranteeing their slot for 1/8-finals now already. They had better finish as the leader to go beyond the expectations as much as possible.

After that it is going to be up to the strength of their opponent about how far they can go on. If they face an opponent like Manchester City then it is over for them.  Grin

I know, so expect Barcelona to reach somewhat around the same level that you said. I don't think they are going to get knocked out from the round of 16. But when it comes to the quarter-final, I don't think Barcelona will be able to get past that successfully. And if Barcelona actually can reach the semifinals I will think that it is a win for Barcelona. Well, I mean an improvement. And I certainly hope that Barcelona is going to take the Champions League competition, a little more seriously. Because they are not doing, as well as they should be in the La Liga competition, to be honest. But with all the problems that they are facing, I understand it is going to be really hard.
It depends on the draw in the round of 16, if they meet a relatively easy team, then they will most likely be able to go through the round of 16, but if they get a very strong team, then it will also be a big problem for them.
Now they are still in the group stage, and actually their position in this group stage is not completely safe, because they still have the opportunity to be shifted by their competitors in group H. They have 9 points, the same points as Porto, but Shakhtar are chasing with 6 points.

Although Im happy for Newcastle in the Champions League, I cant help but worry about them. Especially being in the dreaded Group F, their trip has been a wild ride. More importantly they lose many players, they can only degrade to Europa League or get nothing. They can't get any new player because the transfer window still not yet open, I guess it's fine to lose as they already get experience, this is their first time to enter Champions League with the current players. Not many team make an outstanding achievement for their first league.
Although they have struggled in this group and are now bottom of the table, I appreciate their performance in not just being an appendage in this group, even though compared to other teams they are a team with very little experience in the Champions League. They still have hope of qualifying, albeit with a fairly small possibility, because the teams that are their competitors are very experienced teams and also big teams.
