Manchester City and Real Madrid always give a lot of importance to their domestic league and Champions League but we don't see that in case of Arsenal. Arsenal may take the English Premier League tournament very seriously but they are not too interested in the Champions League tournament. If they had given more importance to the Champions League tournament, their performances in the Champions League would not have been so bad on a regular basis, while in the English Premier League they are rightly second in the points table.

Arsenal are just beginning to pick form in the premier league as they weren't title contender before but for the last two seasons, they have been the only one chasing Manchester city. I think Arsenal wants to win the premier league first before they start concentrating on the champions league as it would be much easier to win the premier league than to win the championship league. The champions league has alot of heavyweight clubs that arsenal can't comfortably win. There's Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester city and Liverpool is right there above them when it comes to champions league therefore winning the premier league should be their priority first.
Every team of course wants to do well in every tournament and try their best to do well but I haven't noticed much of Arsenal's activity in the Champions League tournament. Arsenal have only focused on the English Premier League even though they have not been successful there in the last two seasons. If you want to do well in a tournament like the Champions League, you have to prepare in advance, but we have not seen Arsenal from Arsenal's side. Each season only strengthens the starting XI lineup but Arsenal lag behind all other teams when it comes to replacing them when the starting XI is injured. As the transfer window is still open, they need to buy players who can provide good support in case of injury to the starting eleven. If this is how the team is built, at least Arsenal will do much better than any other season in the Champions League.

Arteta is a talented coach and he is a first coach can help Arsenal go far like the past season after many years. Is his talent enough to help Arsenal win Champions League, it's big question but there is time for Arteta and Arsenal to improve. He is still a very young coach and can improve a lot and win titles with Arsenal or other clubs in future. If Tuchel can win Champions League with Chelsea, it's unfair to say Arteta can not win it with Arsenal or other clubs in his coach career. They are both talented coaches recent years.
Since leaving by Arsene Wenger, Arsenal get difficult break out to the top performance and keep consistent every season not only in UEFA Champion League but also had downtrend performance in Premier League.
Have drastically difference of Arsenal performance since managed by Mikel Arteta exactly last two season Arsenal keep perform well by dominance in Premier League although finish as runner up position and have eliminated at quarter final in Champion League.

Season 2024/25 become his second appearances in Champion League with Arsenal I think he has potential reach higher round until semifinal or possibility reach the final round, but Arsenal must be consistent with their performance exactly on crucial phase at quarter final or semifinal round after difficult when facing the experienced team such as Bayern Munich. Perform well in domestic league not guarantee for Arsenal will easily reach higher in Champion League because every team have motivate for winning the UCL trophy.

Arteta lacks the talent to coach Arsenal in the Champions League because the UCL is different from other leagues. You must focus and see how you can make information in the games because that is the main reason why many clubs do not win matches; they do not know the actual players that they can put in and win games for.

If Arsenal gets the chance and wins the Premier League, I am confident they will also win the UCL. Let's see how the competition plays out next season and who gets the opportunity to win the game. Arteta does not have the talent to coach Arsenal in the Champions League because UCL is different from other leagues.
Premier League is a domestic league and its competitiveness is less than Champions League with so many strong clubs around Europe. Winning Premier League is more possible for Arsenal than winning Champions League and at least they already ended two latest seasons as a runner up. One more step, one more big improvement, they will become champions.

The games yesterday was really interesting because all the big teams who were favorites actually won and it was on that same note that I was actually encourage to atleast place a bet on the two big teams playing which is the like of paok and ludogoret, although I didn't actually make any forecast on the game because it was obvious that were going to win seeing that they are already playing at home. The bet was just a simple odd doubler as I pick both teams to win.
Having all the favourite winning brought a different kind of feeling and joy to the game yesterday, especially for those who are gamblers who at a point or the other places some stakes on these games, they literally won amd made some profits off these games and the season is yet to set in just yet, it's a thing of joy to HV your favourite teams winning, it's already a beam of hope they are going to start off the nee season in a very good and solid note, but it's a call for the teams aswell to be at alert to win more games ahead.

You're right, that's what I've noticed as well, because Arsenal isn't too focused on the Champions League they want to get the chance to win the league, and I've heard some people say Arsenal will perform well in the Champions League and win the title, but it won't be easy for a club like Arsenal to win the Champions League with those players they don't have any strong players with Champions League experience, and that is why anytime they qualify in the league they don't used to have the opportunity of winning the competition anytime they will be knockout in the round 16 or 8.

Arteta lacks the talent to coach Arsenal in the Champions League because the UCL is different from other leagues. While everyone is discussing the last Champions League, some teams are entering the fight for a place in the group stage, so today Fenebahce will play away from Lugano. This match attracted attention because Fenerbahce has recently been led by Mourinier, and if they win, their next opponent will be Lille. This is a very serious test for the team and also for Mourinier, who recently seems to have begun to lose his authority a little. If he can take Fenerbahçe to the group stage of the Champions League, this will be a very significant achievement.

Considering that this stage of selection is very murky (consists of two different paths), few fans pay attention to it. It’s unlikely that anyone even knows the pairings in this round of competition except fans of the participating teams.
By the way, the game, judging by the score (3-4 in favor of Fenerbahce), was epic and I think that Fenerbahce decided the issue of advancing to the next round. It seems to me that in the return game they will win with a more comfortable score.

Mourinho managed to win in his first match coaching Fenerbache, as you said Fenerbache was lucky enough to maintain their victory after Lugano tried to catch up with them in that match, but to be honest, I haven't seen many changes that have occurred in Fenerbache current style of play and If you pay attention, it seems that the Fenerbache players have not been able to maximize  from Mourinho style and playing strategy, So far we know Mourinho as a coach who often applies solid defense (parking the bus) when they are ahead, but in fact in this match it was very visible that the defense possessed by Fenerbache is very fragile even though at the end of the match they were able to secure the victory, the first leg may be in accordance with Fenerbache hopes but the second leg will be very difficult even though Fenerbache will play at home.
José Mourinho in turkey and expects quite different dimensions and heighten level with the coach. He have his own style of play and his oppositions are there to ensure he doesn't secure his ambitious run with his new club. Perhaps one of the good thing to happen to Fenerbahçe this season. We know the records been set by José Mourinho in Europe and he's not bending down because he will fight his way through for the purpose to lift major titles for Fenerbahçe.

Yesterday's Champions League matches were won by the favorites. We can say that it was not a surprise result. Karabakh managed to defeat their opponents 2-0 away and took an important advantage for the round. Malmö also played a dominant game and won 4-1 at home, giving them a big advantage in the round.
FCSB vs Tel Aviv is perhaps one of the strongest matchups of this round. The next match will decide the round.

Fenerbahce will win against Lugano, Lugano can't even become a champion in Super League, they're nothing compared to Fenerbahce which often become a runner up in tougher league. Lille vs Fenerbahce will be interesting match, I expect Fenerbahce will be favorite since people think having Mourinho will boost their performance.

They have 2 match, I think the first match Lille will win with small margin since the match will start in Decathlon Arena-Stade Pierre-Mauroy aka their home town.
Fenerbahçe football team won the match by 4- 3 goals. Fenerbahçe team did four goals and team won the match as expected. Džeko did three goals in this match and his performance was top of the rank because his body language is of winners and he always play with confidence and he did first goal at penalty and he did second second goal  in the 46 minutes of the match and after that he did third goal at 67 minutes of the match.  We saw back to back goals from Džeko and I didn't see that kind of good player. Lugano football also gave their hundred percent and they did three goals in this match and three kickers were different. A. El Wafi did first goal of the match and he gave a good start to the team but after that Džeko changed tge side of match and  Fenerbahçe team won the match easily by 4-3 ratio.

Arsenal already have a strong enough foundation for them to continue next season, from season to season they always show improvement and improvement, this is a breath of fresh air for them and then they can achieve something they want. Mikel Arteta has so far been able to carry out his duties well, now it's just a matter of how he can create a squad that is more consistent.
If we reflect on their failures in 2 consecutive seasons, in fact they always have very good momentum. It's just that at the same time they slipped a little, which opened up opportunities for other teams to overtake them, and Manchester City, as their rival at that time, did not miss the opportunity that came to get back above Arsenal.

That's right, I still remember that decisive match where Arsenal did not do well, even against CITY, Arsenal lost to many teams in games that they should not have lost, so this is something that had a lot of influence and it is as you say, City is a team that practically took advantage of everything, the PL is going to get more interesting, and if we start to look at teams like City, Liverpool are not going to give away absolutely anything, they are going to go out to win all the games, I personally hope that Arteta shines with Arsenal and the PL gets much better.

Edu and Mikel Arteta hold talks with Gabriel Jesus after striker returns ‘fitter than ever’

Gabriel Jesus’ Arsenal future has been up in the air for a few months now.

The Brazilian had a very difficult 2023/24 season. He had multiple injury issues and that pushed him below Kai Havertz in the pecking order.

Jesus started just 21 games in all competitions for Arsenal, and that resulted in a lot of speculation about his future at the club.

There are a lot of games until Fenerbahce could be in the group stages, and that's not easy. I think 3 teams? If I am mistaken they have to beat three teams to qualify for group stages, I am sure that they can beat Lugano, that doesn't look like a hard opponent.

Next up will be Lille, which is harder of course, and they finished decently at 4th place, and that could potentially mean that Lille could beat Fenerbahce, but this is Mourinho we are talking about, dude is literally the master at tournament style football, it is a wonder that no national team ever got him. If they gave him the Portugal national team, they would have won world cup long ago, they should have done that during Ronaldo prime era, and they could have totally win it.

Fenerbahce could of course lose, there is no guarantee that they will win, but contrary to what others believe, I see Fenerbahce as the favourites against Lille, favourites do not always win, so there is a chance of losing, but more likely result will be a win. Plus they started making some transfers too, they got some striker and they got Maximin too, when you think about how these are not even playing yet, when they do, they will be much better with time.

With addition of Youssef En-Nesyri and Allan Saint Maximin (and possibly maybe more) I am sure that Fenerbahçe will be a fairly good squad. The only thing I wonder, how many players can you add/remove from this leg to facing Lille? Are you giving a whole new list, or are you capable of doing just a few? If just one or two, then they may have trouble if they make any new transfers, or at least not a trouble but wouldn't be able to play those players. I know that, because we had the same issue last year, we had Derrick Kohn, but we couldn't register him at the right time, and that caused us to not play with him on our last games, which hurt us awfully a lot. I do hope that Fenerbahce and Galatasaray goes to group stages, I do not think that its fairly often to see two Turkish teams in the UCL group stages, not even sure if it ever happened, but if it did, must be very few rare times.

You are perfectly right.

FCSB vs Maccabi is the strongest by far and I would say that FCSB is the better team and should have the first chance to qualify further. I've watched the game last night and I also wanted to go and see the game but I was to tired after work to actually go on the Stadium ( it's just 20 minutes with uber from where I live ). However , if FCSB manage to qualify further I will surely go and watch the game against Sparta Praga.  Cool Grin

Playing against Lugano in the Champions League qualifiers was Mourinho first match at Fenerbahce, and even  though Fenerbahce managed to win with a score of 3-4, I think maybe there is still a lot that needs to be improved. Of course, regarding their defense because it still seems quite weak because after all, Fenerbahce also conceded first with a quick goal in the first  half. Althoughindeed, we also realize that Dzeko still has an impressive performance and is still able to make a big contribution to the team even though he is no longer young.

Some players will always add value to any team they play in because of their experience they’ve gathered over the years of their career in football that’s why a senior player is always needed in a team especially the teams that are filled with young talents. Dzeko really did well and that’s exactly what’s expected from him as their most senior player in the squad.

Mourinho still has a lot of time to put this team together and the victory in the champions league qualifiers was a necessary win for them to help them prepare ahead for the main season football in both domestic and champions league games. Mourinho will not disappoint and I’m sure he’ll present a well qualified squad for Fernerbache against next season and all mistakes in this match will be fixed.

To win the UCL you need a squad that is able to maintain its performance in every match. Arsenal must learn more from the success achieved by Real Madrid and Manchester City if they want to win this most prestigious championship. Arsenal still needs time to compete with Real Madrid or other big clubs, maybe it's true as you said, Arsenal should focus on the EPL first, when they are able to win the title, they can increase their target to the UCL.
What Real Madrid and Manchester City have done will be difficult for Arsenal to imitate. Real Madrid have built a very solid squad over the years and of course they also have a winning mentality in the UCL. Manchester City has good finances so club management can give Guardiola the freedom to choose any player he likes and form a solid squad. Both are the best in the UCL at the moment. Arsenal will take a long time to be able to compete with Madrid or City. But I think the EPL is more realistic. They had good form and the league and only bad luck made them fail to win. This season Arsenal will become even more solid and I hope they can maintain consistency in their game this season.

Real Madrid and Manchester City are as much expected in the Champions League as we are in Arsenal, so Arsenal should prepare for the Champions League and prepare accordingly.

Real Madrid will certainly be ahead of the rest of the teams next season with the way the teams have been so far and Manchester City could do well there as well but Arsenal have yet to change their squad so it wouldn't be a surprise if their performance is similar to last season.

Dynamo Kyiv scored a barrage of goals in a dominant 6-2 win over Partizan. Dynamo Kiev will most probably be the team to go through. I don't think they will lose away because they didn't give their opponents many chances in this match.
Ferencvaros also scored a goal-laden victory against a weak opponent. I think it's safe to say that Ferencvaros are through for sure.
Likewise, Midtjylland didn't have too much difficulty in beating their opponents and secured a 3-0 away win.

Fenerbache appointed José Mourinho who’s genius interns of managing elite clubs towards their way to glory. He is now in charge and we will definitely see the brilliant style of play he will implements for his new team. Fenerbache is categorized to be among the top clubs and will hits harder when it comes to matches.
I see this is an intense match. Fenerbahce managed to win the match but the two teams played quite evenly. I don't see a situation where Fenerbahce can dominate Lugano. But a win is still a win. I can't yet judge whether Mourinho still has the tactical genius he had in his prime. This was his first official match. And as a coach, Mou has to buy several players who can play the tactics that will be used when the competition starts. Fenerbahce is one of the best teams in Europe. I have expectations that Mourinho will give Fenerbahce good achievements in the UCL this season.
Fenerbahce were almost beaten by Lugano and fortunately Fenerbahce was able to maintain its defense so as not to concede more goals in the final minutes.
I admit that Fenerbahce can dominate the match but Fenerbahce underestimated Lugano in the second half causing them to lose focus and concede 3 scores.
In Mourinho's first match, this is one of the initial stages of finding out how the club is performing and after this I think Mourinho can find a more appropriate strategy to make the best contribution to his club.

Even if the both teams played very well but what matters at the end of a match is who the winner is and for Jose Mourinho first official game since he was contracted to coach Fenerbahce, it was a welcome development by the players. There's one thing about Mourinho, he always tries as much as possible to have a good start and the win against Lugano is just to confirm his capacity as a manager. One thing about these clubs is that they don't care much about making new signings and even when they do it's not always world class players since most professional players feels going to such clubs might make them not too recognized except they are offered huge pay then some of them can consider moving in but most of the European players in top clubs just go on loan and later return to their initial clubs. Even if Mourinho don't succeed to take Fenerbahce far in the Champions League but since he's a very popular European coach he will want to make some attempts to boost the club's performance in the champions league.
