Currently leading the standings in the Champions League is Borussia Dortmund. They have played two matches so far with two impressive wins, and they have scored 10 goals. They are at the top of the points table after a 7-1 win over Celtic, although Dortmund's attack was much stronger. I think the Champions League will be more likely to win the Champions League than the Bundesliga this season, especially with Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Leverkusen attacking the Champions League with a lot of excitement in every match.
It's always been an exciting first and second-match performance coming from Dortmund to have them top their Champions League table with 10 goals scored and only a goal conceded. That could show how mentally and physically prepared they are to contest for the Champions League title this season. However, their next meet of the Champions League match will be against Real Madrid, "the defending champion," who beat them in last season's Champions League finals by 2 goals to nil. It will be an exciting rematch to watch of last season's finals. Let's see who would later come out with a thrilled scoreline performance against the other.

Borussia is now leading the table with six points and unlikely will be topped by any other team tomorrow as they now have +9 goal difference unless Bayern manages to win with more than 2 goals advantage against Aston Villa tomorrow, but I seriously doubt that.

Borussia were lucky to have played 2 games against weak teams. So it makes perfect sense that they are provisionally at the top and I doubt very much that at the end of all the games they will end up in that position. So I am not surprised by their current position.

Bayern is the bookies' favourite, but my money would go on Villa.

Many people continue to underestimate Bayern, but in this case the Bayern coach knows Aston Villa well and now in Bayern with a better squad than when he was in the Premier League, he will have a good result. Aston Villa was lucky to win in the first game of the European Champions League because they played against an extremely weak opponent. But Bayern is not weak, on the contrary, it is a very strong team. That is why in my opinion I see Bayern winning this game.

Lille - Real Madrid

Real Madrid has a good defense, although they have good players in attack, they can sometimes be very inefficient, but I see Real Madrid coming out of this game with a victory. I read that Mbappe traveled with the squad, so I believe he will be able to play. Lille's biggest problem is in defense, while Real Madrid's biggest problem is in attack. Knowing how experienced Real Madrid's coach is, I don't see Real Madrid losing. But I won't bet on this game.

Lille possible starting lineup:
Chevalier; Tiago Santos, Diakite, Alexsandro, Gudmundsson; Andre, Andre Gomes, Cabella; Zhegrova, David, Sahraoui

Real Madrid possible starting lineup:
Lunin; Carvajal, Eder Militao, Rudiger, Mendy; Valverde, Camavinga, Tchouameni; Bellingham; Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior

Liverpool - Bologna

Liverpool have been performing well this season since the new manager arrived, while Bologna have been performing moderately since the departure of last season's manager. They don't have the same defense they had last season, but they can't be underestimated. I won't bet on this game either. Although Liverpool are the favorites and have very low odds, I don't rule out a draw.

Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Konate, Tsimikas; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Nunez

Bologna possible starting lineup:
Skorupski; Posch, Beukema, Lucumi, Lykogiannis; Aebischer, Moro, Freuler; Orsolini, Dallinga, Ndoye

My parlay was nearly going to win. Leverkusen won but it wasn't easy at all. They dominated the first half but the balances completely changed in the other one.  Sad  Dortmund also won and I must admit that it was like the game I was comfortable with watching the most.  Tongue

However PSG messed up really badly... I wasn't expecting to see this kind of a starting lineup first of all. I didn't even know Dembele had a fight with Luis Enrique and found himself out of squad right before. I wish I didn't take such risk like double chance on them.

Today I assume I would watch Aston Villa - Bayern Munich. It seems interesting. But I might pass for betting.  Grin

I have an opinion about the Champions League. What I noticed about the matches played in two days is that if the matches are high-scoring on Tuesday, the matches are low-scoring on Wednesday.
If there are few goals on Tuesday, there will be plenty of goals on Wednesday.
Yesterday was a night with partly goals.
If Dortmund had pushed a little harder, they would have equaled Bayern's first week record.
My favorite teams, the German teams, do not retreat after scoring 2-3 goals against the other side. He scores goals whenever he has the chance.
It makes sense because it's a fact that the scores are always higher at the start of the week. Maybe it's a coincidence but we'll see what other big games are on today and if there are fewer scores then there's some sort of correlation. it's a bit of a stretch because we have Bayern Munich, ATM, Liverpool and Real Madrid matches, one of which is sure to score a lot of goals, especially Bayern Munich and Liverpool are very likely to have high chances.
It is quite interesting because we see it, but can only be assumed and cannot be used as a correct claim about this, the invoice we need to look at the team that plays, and we see from the whole whether every opportunity will be the same, the fact is impossible, this It could be coincidence, but if it runs long term, this is far crazier than the predictions of intelligent humans. I was also expecting both teams to score, but Paris Saint-Germain came very close to scoring in a few attacks, but two of their balls hit the post. That's why they couldn't get close to scoring. If there had been a goal instead of a post, the match could have even ended in a draw. To be honest, Arsenal deserved to win the match. Because Arsenal played with more passion and quality than Paris Saint-Germain. Of course, Dembele is a player whose absence can be felt. This weakened their attacking area.

Even if a manager has a misunderstanding with a player before an important match, they must resolve the issue on one side, the player and manager are expected to have a good relationship every time. Luis Enrique chose to drop Dembele from the squad due to the issue. Arsenal is a great team with the world best defense, they looked quite comfortable in the first half because they did not have an attacking player that could disturb them. I expect both teams to score, but after knowing that Dembele was not in the lineup to play against Arsenal, I doubt PSG will score or win the match.

However, if I am not mistaken, Luis Enrique did the same thing to Mbappe last season after stating that he is leaving the club, he was not given more chances to play and was benched in some Champions League games.

I think this is the biggest scoreline I've ever seen from Dortmund in recent years.. geez! They literally dismantled Celtic, bulldozed them, blindsided and equally spelt out the letters for the visitors CELTIC.. what a way to lay claim to your territory than this and I hope it won't be the end to their fine performance when they meet other opponents.

That's the highest result that I have seen with Dortmund as well, they can score 3 to 4 goals in a game, but that was a massive number of goals against a team that other teams in their respective league respect, I did not expect Dortmund to do so well against Celtic, who became the Champions League second highest scorer in the last two weeks.

I think it's too early to say that and even though Dortmund have won big in the two matches they've played, they're still not favored to win the Champion League title this season.
Dortmund's two big wins I think are reasonable because they haven't found a strong opponent, and we also have to look at the overall strength of the team and I think what Dortmund has achieved so far doesn't need to be exaggerated, they've only won 2 matches so it's very unfair if that's used as a reference that Dortmund can win the Champion League title.

Against Monaco, Barcelona really disappointed Barcelona fans because Barcelona lost with a score of 2-1 and Barcelona continued to compete against Osasuna in Laliga which ended in defeat for Barcelona with a score of 4-2.
Seeing how these matches goes against Monaco & Osasuna, I guess we can say Barcelona are still trying to get back to their best yet like before, there's still consistency issues while also they may face challenges winning against a team after being with a player out by red card in the early kick-off between Monaco,  while the surffling against Osasuna shows the back up players still need to do more, we can see how the team did against Young Boys, though Ter Stegen  is out.

-Snip-
Barcelona did well coming out from their disappointing match against Osasuna, Lewandowski and Raphinha has been really instrumental for the team success this season, is good to see Lewandowski back again better especially after last season was really not good for him and the whole attack generally in some sense they're not as wasteful as last season good job for them. While it wasn't really a good night for L. Yamal, but I think this is just football and I hope he won't bother much about it, though I was actually surprised not to see him get an assist or a goal in the number of goals they scored but it's still all good. In some night the game won't go as planned.

Arsenal is really lucky that PSG didn't score two goals, after Arsenal have successfully scored 2 goals, they're using their dirty strategy again i.e. park the bus. Arsenal not dare to score many goals unlike other teams which make the match looks not exciting to watch.

Dembele want to show if he's a star player and he want to become the next Mbappe, but Luis Enrique didn't want that to happen.

This is not good for both of them, I guess it's better for PSG to find new player that can replace Dembele, Dembele might want to leave in the next season.

I totally agree with you. While on paper, Arsenal seemed like the stronger team, PSG is known as one of the strongest sides in Europe. The expectation that both teams would score was quite reasonable, especially considering that PSG has been successfully scoring without Mbappe in their domestic league. It was, unfortunately, a letdown from the PSG side rather than a fault in the bet prediction. But as we all know, football can be unpredictable, and upsets do occur, hence the risk in any bet.

To be honest, the match result was unexpected and doesn't reflect the reality of the game. The game was on a balance level at first half but PSG were far superior than Arsenal in the second half but unfortunately they were not clinical in the front. Mistakes normally lead to goals and Donaruma is responsible for the mistakes that led to the two goals by surprise. Although, those mistakes would have been corrected if they had attacking striker in the pitch. I don't know Dembele offense that Enrique decided to left him out of the squad for important game like this but his absent has greatly shown in this match.

At times, as a couch you have to drop the pride and allow your best players to help you secure the result you want. There other ways to punish a player when necessary. Dembele really deserve to play that game and Donaruma need to rest too to put himself together.
The two teams so far as teams that have a bad mentality in the Champions League, the journey of the two teams so far is not different at all so I thought that initially the two teams would draw in the match, but to be honest I was quite surprised by Arsenal ability to continue to press the PSG defense in the match,  In terms of the actual game, PSG was able to dominate over Arsenal but they actually found it difficult to dismantle Arsenal defense which was very solid in the match, besides that Arsenal which was actually more effective in attacking was able to make Donnarumma have to work hard in the match, if we look at the pressure that continues to be presented by Arsenal of course PSG should be grateful to Donnarumma who was able to prevent them from conceding many goals.
btw in the match it was very visible how the mentality that PSG has when facing Arsenal and even I think Leicester City in the Premier League is still very tough in giving resistance to Arsenal if we compare it to PSG which is a strong team in Ligue 1 so far Grin.

It was discussed before the start of the match that the match against Arsenal in the Champions League would not be easy for PSG. Arsenal beat PSG 2-0 in their last Champions League match. Basically, it is very difficult to do well in the Champions League with the players that PSG has now or with this team. Maybe PSG can do better in some matches against teams that are weaker than PSG but in most matches they are more likely to lose points. Arsenal managed to score two goals in the first half of the game so it was thought that they might score more later on but they failed to score in the second half. Huge congratulations to Arsenal for a great win against PSG.
I switched between two matches, the first was Arsenal-PSG, and Arsenal was better, they attacked well and very quickly returned to defense, where they almost did not allow PSG to create anything, I really see how Arteta improves the team over time. And the second match was Bayer - Milan, I watched it less, but it was enough to understand that Milan failed the first half mainly defending, in the second they conceded early, tried to fix something, but to no avail, in the end 0 points after two rounds in the Champions League.

I was expecting more goals in the second half from Arsenal vs PSG match but I was surprised none of the was able to score any goal despite all the chances that PSG had in the second half, they couldn't score any goal and allowed Arsenal to win them on clean sheet. Mbappe was the player that do help PSG in their UCL matches and that was what affected them today.
Do you think so? That means Mbappe only helps them in European competitions and not domestic ones then because we've seen how they have been performing in their league since Mbappe left.
I'd say they just didn't have what it took to withstand the pressure the Gunners hit them with.
From the beginning of the game, Arsenal were absorbing the pressure, understanding the pattern the visitors brought that's why you'd see them less in control of the ball but when it mattered they struck.
Quote
On the other hand, Barcelona and Man City was able to score more goals in the second half to increase the score line and I know that was possible because they played with a weak club and took advantage of their weakness. Dortmund scored the highest goals today against Celtic and I was shocked to see that the match ended a 7-1.
I think this is the biggest scoreline I've ever seen from Dortmund in recent years.. geez! Yes, this really makes me very annoyed when I have to experience a defeat caused by 1 match that makes me fail to win the bet, why is this really not according to expectations ;( even though I am very sure about the betting option which I think is quite safe but what can we do in the many choices we do have to accept surprises things like this.
Why did you choose to take the risk on BTTS in the Arsenal vs PSG match?
It is very clear that PSG is currently being built by its coach (Enrique) without relying on any players, and Mbappe is no longer at PSG.
On one hand, you should compare that Arsenal at the beginning of the season like this has a stronger performance. Meanwhile, PSG maintains its strongest performance in the domestic league.
So you should choose to bet on the over or under that makes your bet win.
But choosing the both team score in the Arsenal and PSG game was not a bad option. PSG is a big team when it comes to the champions League. Coming all the way from France to Emirates stadium and they couldn't score a goal is very bad form their own end. PSG should have scored a goal that's just the truth. You can't blame him for picking that bet option, because before the match started, that Arsenal game has all the attributes of both teams scoring. But it's quite unfortunate that PSG couldn't score a goal. You can't blame PSG inability to score goal in this match on them not having Mbappe, because at their domestic league they have been scoring without Mbappe. It was just a bad performance from PSG team generally.
I totally agree with you. While on paper, Arsenal seemed like the stronger team, PSG is known as one of the strongest sides in Europe. It was, unfortunately, a letdown from the PSG side rather than a fault in the bet prediction. But as we all know, football can be unpredictable, and upsets do occur, hence the risk in any bet.
It is not wrong to place such bets because as you said Arsenal have the advantage of playing at home while PSG has a much better experience than Asrenal at UCL and these two teams are strong candidates in their respective domestic league so when referring to that factor which I have explained above and I am sure we all agreed.
Choosing the Betting of the Both Teams Scored Very Reasonable Goals
After all, PSG also has a good chance to score in the match and in the second half they press more Arsenal but unfortunately Dembele's absence made the PSG attack line look blunt and I assumed that today you are not lucky in betting.
On the other hand I questioned the Enrique coach why players like Asensio were not played?
I was also expecting both teams to score, but Paris Saint-Germain came very close to scoring in a few attacks, but two of their balls hit the post. That's why they couldn't get close to scoring. Between these two teams I think is Arsenal that came to play and get a win because PSG never showed any sign of seriousnes. PSG was completely poor and what they normally display in the Ligue 1 we never get to see it and it seems the absence of Dembele affected the team, the force wasn't there at all. Arsenal dominated the game right from the first half to the end, something I never expected to happen because I thought PSG was going to make this game a very competitive game they were too sluggish. At least we saw the Gunners playing like they're in the champions league to compete and not to complete the other teams that are playing the champions league, first win for the Gunners and this is a positive step for Arteta and his boys.
PSG's rhythm control is actually quite good where they control the game, it's just that they don't look special because a lot of opportunities are wasted just because of poor finishing.

Arsenal appeared quite objective in this match because they knew when they tried to make an open game and keep up with PSG's rhythm it would be difficult, especially with the speed of the 2 wings where Doue and Barcola did have above average speed.  But Arsenal know that they can counterattack quite well because they realize that PSG's offense will make their defense empty. PSG's mistake was also to leave the Arsenal players unguarded in the penalty area which actually made them lose this match. The 2-0 scoreline wasn't really predictable to me but I think it's a good thing for a big Champions League game.

This shows that PSG defense are not solid and if they come in contact with teams like Bayern Munich it won't be the same score line, it would have been more than 2-0 and their performance also indicate that they are really domestic champions, they only dominate only in their league but outside the Ligue 1 they are powerless. See how they bang in goals and play with so much speed but could not replicate it in the champions league. I'm glad that Marseille are getting stronger to challenge them (PSG) this season
Chances created by the visitors wasn't much compared to their previous games, they weren't sharp and they don't have anybody to put pressure on the Arsenal defense to get even a more better chance to score, if you watch how relaxwd the Gunners were at the back you'd know that PSG don't have anybody to mount pressure on Saliba and Gabriel. I'll still say it that PSG are lucky last night to play against a team like Arsenal, well is a good win for Arteta.

I wanted to play Arsenal to beat Paris Saint-Germain at Emirate Stadium in their Uefa Champions League game last night, but I was afraid because I thought that Paris Saint-German could be a threat to Arsenal, but I didn't know that Arsenal could have an easy win over Paris Saint-German at Emirate Stadium last night. I was surprised by how the Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain match ended 2-0 without Paris Saint-Germain scoring a goal against Arsenal, even though they dominated Arsenal in that game. It seems Paris Saint-Germain are finding it hard to score against their opponents since Mbappe left the club to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.
We cannot judge from the PSG team side because it must be admitted that Arsenal's performance this season is quite strong so it is natural that PSG has difficulty in beating Arsenal.
Arsenal played at home, with their positive performance at the beginning of this season I think it is natural to win and I have predicted the results of this match from the beginning, from all sides we can see that Arsenal this season is much stronger than PSG.

Arsenal - PSG match was nice and enjoyable, Arsenal won 2-0.
Arsenal played better than PSG and they deserved this victory.
Arsenal's second goal was nice, a well-worked organization.
There was a penalty that was not given to PSG, I think that position was a penalty.

Top performance from Arsenal and a special night at the Emirates.
Saka continued to do what did best, and Kai Havertz scored again.
Havertz has scored in every Arsenal home game in all competitions so far this season.
And I loved Martinelli's work rate, he did a good job tracking the ball back and helping with the defense.
Overall, it was a satisfactory win, the game plan was executed well.
Congrats...

Of course, because Kylian Mbappé was a great player for Paris Saint-Germain. He played a key role. Since he left the team, Paris Saint-Germain has been very ineffective in attacking lines. The deficiency in the forward area is noticeable. I think they should now compete with Chelsea for the transfer of Osimhen and bring him to the team. Because Osimhen is a quality player who can make great contributions to their attacking area. If he continues like this, they may continue to suffer defeats in the Champions League.

but in Barcelona's match against Young Boys of course Barcelona performed very extraordinary because Barcelona won that match with a fantastic score of 5-0 and honestly I was also amazed by Lewandowski because he played very well and he scored 2 goals in that match and I also liked when Lewandowski celebrating , but it was a real shame for Yamal that he didn't score a goal in this match. but of course in this match it was clear that Barcelona's strength was extraordinary. and of course Barcelona's struggle is not finished in the Champions League and of course Barcelona still has many matches to play. and I hope Flick can continue to make Barcelona players even stronger. because of course the next match in the UCL, Barcelona will face Bayern, of course this match will definitely be more exciting because Bayern is certainly not a team that is easy to beat. but it seems that in that match I predict that Barcelona will have great potential to win that match, what do you all think?
