Manchester City have lost one of their four Champions League matches. And won two matches. Now the team is at the tenth place in the points table. Qualifying for the next round will probably not be such a difficult task for Manchester City. Because Manchester City's performance is somewhat erratic, but this team is strong enough. Hopefully we will see a better performance from Manchester City in the upcoming matches.

City needs De Bruyne to be who they are, and without him City will face difficulties. I never expected an average team to win City hands down with all the qualities that they have. I wouldn't say PSG's overall performance and match strategy was bad. PSG players performed well and tried their best to score goals. But Atletico Madrid played defensively in this match. So PSG players cannot score more than one goal. Also, PSG's players are not experienced enough. So PSG players missed several easy chances.



Looking at these statistics, it is clear that PSG performed well in today's match. PSG dominated the match with 72% ball possession. And a total of 22 shots were managed by PSG players. PSG players were able to make 0 on target shots. On the other hand, Atletico Madrid players made only 4 on target shots. Despite performing well, PSG failed to win. Luis Enrique has tried to build a youth-oriented squad. But I would say PSG desperately needs an experienced scorer in their squad right now.

Three losses in a row is not a good result for a team like Manchester City but this is not the end of the world for the club. Barcelona have been in great form this season. And if Barcelona is able to maintain the continuity of this performance, there is no doubt that Barcelona is one of the most worthy contenders for this season's Champions League.

Barcelona was defeated in the first match of this year's Champions League. And we thought this season Barcelona would probably only compete for the La Liga title. But we were wrong. This week champions league matches gave us a lot of surprises where many big teams lost points and had to fight hard in the next match, girona and madrid lost to their opponents while barcelona and atletico were still able to win to secure their position in the standings, so far Barcelona has been the most consistent Spanish team in the champions league so I think their chances of qualifying for the next round are very large at the moment, Barcelona has shown a very solid performance this season, the big win against Belgrade  of course is proof of the depth of the squad and the effective strategy they have at the moment, btw the big win over Belgrade yesterday has extended the winning record with a score of 4+ goals in 3 consecutive European matches for the first time since the 1959-60 season

The referee made the right decision in the Cup Brugge vs Aston Villa match. Goalkeeper Martinez put the ball in play, but Mings saw that the opposition player was going to put pressure on him and when he took the ball for the restart, the referee awarded a penalty. Mings' plan backfired. He knew very well what he was doing, but the referee did not turn a blind eye to this situation. In this position, Vanaken scored the goal from the penalty.  Aston Villa also scored the first goal in the Champions League. Aston Villa suffered their first defeat when they could not respond to this goal.
Mings' shrewd move cost his team dearly.

For Barcelona game, the result was not surprising. In fact, I expected a cleansheet from Barcelona with a heavy scoreline considering their recent form.

As for Arsenal, I knew things will not be easy for them but did not really expect a defeat. I think it's time for Arterta to change playing pattern because many clubs have studied the way they play and they hardly score now.  Perhaps, they should go back to old Arsenal one touch fast game football. Their pattern last two season was much better than present pattern. His experiment aren't working anymore.

You are right. It is difficult to accept such a decision of the referee. And I also felt that the referee was biased in this match. However, this is just my opinion. At the end of the day Inter Milan were very lucky and managed to get full points from the match. But I would have been happy if the match was a draw. Because the performance of Arsenal players was better than Inter Milan in the entire match.

Arsenal's players managed to have 63% of the ball possession in the entire match. Arsenal players made a total of 20 shots. On the other hand, Inter Milan players managed to make only 7 shots. And only one shot was on target. Arsenal lost the match despite performing well.

The penalty awarded to Inter Milan would have been argued a lot in the Premier League because Mikel Merino did not on purpose put his hand there. But it is what it is, and Arsenal need to handle and cope with the loss. It has not been the best week for Manchester City and Arsenal, they have both suffered in the EPL and UCL.

Sporting will be affected after their coach who has brought them this far moves to the premier league to join Manchester United.

I think one of the reasons why Barcelona are performing so well against every team at the moment is that all the players in their team are performing consistently. All the players in the Barcelona team are in great form. We have seen this season that Barcelona faced two strong teams and won both of those matches. Barcelona lost their first match in this season's UEFA Champions League, but they have since won all three matches.
A look at the UEFA Champions League points table shows that these two teams are close in the points table, Barcelona is below Stade Brestois Football Club in the points table after losing one match. Both the teams have faced each other in 4 matches so far in the Champions League, but interestingly both the teams have won 3 matches each. Based on the current performance, Barcelona is more likely to win the match between these two teams.

Sorry @Cryptoprincess101, I can't agree with you. Manchester City team is not really in good form right now. And that's what Bernardo Silva said a few days ago. And I think Bernardo Silva is right.

Manchester City is a very strong team. And we haven't seen Manchester City lose three matches in a row in the last few years. Perhaps the last time Manchester City lost three games in a row was in 2018. Perhaps City have only lost one match in the Champions League. However, City lost in the Premier League match against Bournemouth in the previous match. And Manchester City also lost against Tottenham in the EFL Cup match. And it shows that Manchester City are not in their best form right now.

Guardiola will certainly have to try to find Manchester City's problems. Otherwise, Manchester City will not be able to dominate the Premier League. Liverpool are performing well. So if Manchester City's performance is erratic then City will not be able to hold the top spot in the table.

Apparently Real Madrid squad is something else though I'm not saying it's because of the squad but it maybe or maybe the Coach don't know how to use each of them for now and if time is not taken, Real Madrid is going to go through what PSG was facing when they have this kind of squad. However, if the Coach doesn't find the problem for this..., it  is going to be worst than it is now. Barcelona performance this season is really outstanding and great but who knows if they will keep it up for long, them beating Real Madrid in El classico doesn't mean the trophy is guarantee that they will lift it but judging with the performance now i can say it is 90-90% guarantee that Barcelona can win the trophy.

Yesterday we got normal results in comparision of Tuesday.
Inter won but was a mess with referees and penalty.

Wathcing the leaderboard we have surprises in the top 5.

Sporting Monaco and Brest are in top 5 and noone in the world as predicted it after 4 turns.

I wonder why a team will want to be defeated on purpose, it does not make any sense actually. For Manchester city's loss to Sporting Lisbon, i feel it was the carelessness of the players that caused them that defeat because Manchester City were the first to score and all of a sudden, they became so porous and the defenders made lot of mistakes that led to the penalties they conceded to Sporting Lisbon. Real Madrid losing to AC Milan was totally lack of teamwork amongst the players.

I don't agree with you that Manchester City have not been in their best form this season because if not for the last two matches they lost, you can agree with me they were doing very fine as they only lost one match each in the Premier league and in the champions league so it's not enough to say they are not in their best form. Their loss to Bournemouth was completely defensive error same with their loss to Sporting Lisbon though Sporting Lisbon have been in their best form since last season till now so i didn't see their winning against Manchester City as a surprise.

Yes, i can agree with you that Real Madrid have been so unstable since the season began because even at the start of the season, they gave a very wrong impression by playing draw in their first match of the season and i feel what is wrong with the team is just lack of understanding among the three players you mentioned.

It's gladdens my heart to see the likes of Raphina and Robert Lewandowski scoring goals they couldn't last season. Good game last night,  now they have to do same against Real Sociedad. I will be expecting a squad rotation finally.

I didn't see the Salzburg game but saw Aston Villa finally losing in the champions league yesterday. Tyrone mings snoozed and forgot that was a pass. Club Brugge sat back and made it difficult for Villa to penetrate after the penalty.  I saw a penalty the ref and var did not look into for Arsenal,  they should have at least gotten a point outta that game. Inter Milan defended great.

The 4th match was indeed unfavorable for most Premier League teams. Because only Liverpool managed to get full points and apart from Liverpool everyone lost. I wasn't surprised by Arsenal's defeat by Inter Milan. But I didn't expect to see Man City lose to Sporting CP. But it looks like Sporting CP could lose their good performance after being left by their coach, Ruben Amorim, who will move to MU. So I am quite concerned about this club. And regarding Brest they are indeed surprising this season. because they are able to maintain their consistency well. It's just that they haven't really faced a much stronger team. And in the 5th match they will face Arsenal. And I'm curious whether Sporting CP will be able to maintain their positive trend or not after their own coach left.

It's big surprise in this season that Hansi Flick and Barcelona can play very impressively like this with many young players. This young squad are ready to make history for the club and themselves in this season. Many signals that they are making history, and good results in early of season are first bricks towards titles at the season ending.

They not only beat many opponents and collect many points, but also manage to beat very big opponents like Real Madrid and Bayer Munich with very big wins. It shows that they're able to compete for titles in this season and the task of Hansi Flick is keeping their young players calm and rotate them regularly to avoid injuries.

Arsenal started this season with a lot of hope that they will win Premier League title and go far in Champions League. They actually began it not too bad but recent weeks, they lost many points in Premier League and in Champions League, they did not have good performances so far too. Inter Milan are playing more stable than Arsenal and in experience, it's surely that Inter Milan are more experienced than Arsenal in recent years. Because they won two Scudetto and had one Champions League final match.
