Big clubs like Barcelona, Manchester City, Inter Milan win big against weak teams. In two big matches, Arsenal win against PSG and Leverkusen win against AC Milan. They are both hosts in these matches and win against two big competitors is very important results for them. Leverkusen show that they are ready to go far in Champions League by beating AC Milan in this match.

After the last surprising season, Leverkusen are no longer an underdog but they are able to play well and win against a big club, it's a plus for their adventure in Champions League, to complete the group phase with good standing.

Arsenal are continuing their improvement since the last season and in contrast, PSG again show that they are very unstable and unpredictable in Champions League.

It was a convincing win by Dortmund against Celtic a win that I wasn’t expecting to be this commanding Because the how Dortmund have been shaky in Their league form and how commanding the Celtic club played in their first match. The Scottish side winning 5 goals to one again Slovan Bratislava was actually making me think they will give Dortmund a hard time but it is just like the champions league usually goes past results doesn’t mean anything in future games. My biggest surprise though in today’s games was the game between Brest and Salzburg, I was expecting a Salzburg win to be sincere, I thought they will put in a shift after gotten beating by Sparta Praha in their first match. Right now they need to dig themselves out to get even a playoff position and with the clubs faced so far I expect more top tier teams in their next matches which means they are definitely going to be causing upsets to even get a top 24 finish.


This was a game I saw to be more of between equals after AC Milan won their respective league matches which included the Milan derby I expected them to even get a win here but they lost narrowly which leaves them fighting for a place, I haven’t checked their fixtures but I expect them to have a better next few matches if they win then they can easily be in the top 8

Agree. It was surprising that some key players of PSG on the bench. I saw Kolo Muani, Fabian Ruiz, Asensio, and Škriniar on the bench. I also didn't understand with Luis Enrique decision. It is an important match and they played against Arsenal away, he must choose the best players on the starting lineup. But Luis Enrique made everyone surprising, there are no familiar name on PSG attacking line. Even, Asensio and Škriniar didn't play in this match.

However, it was cool that PSG still could dominate the match. But they failed to score a single goal. They only focused on winning the ball possessions and made more shots attempts. They didn't try to play more effectively.

Indeed. It will be difficult for AC Milan to finish this phase in top 8. They are unlucky that they must face 2 strong teams in 2 early matches. Since they are still inconsistently in domestic league, it is not surprising to see them getting 0 points.

And it ended with the total of 32 goals, what a party this matchday!

Dortmund became the most productive this time, even though they conceded 1 goal. Edeyemi Karim did a hat trick, awesome.
While on the other side, there are also some clubs that scored 4 or 5 goals without reply, they are good at optimizing the chances that exist. But, especially for Brest, this is really amazing to see their performance.

You probably missed the previous round and the Bayern - Dynamo game 
As for the games, high scoring is fun... but I still understand that this is not the Champions League. When one club is 10-20 times stronger than another and can win with a reserve team, I don't see any interest in it (plus the games have almost no tournament value).

The three points was important for Arsenal, just as it was for Barcelona. Good game control from Arsenal not to allow PSG score one goal because that would have made the final time in the game very uncomfortable for them.

Villa is a big club, and they will give Bayern a challenge that they may not expect especially as they play at the home

Anyway, this first part of the 2nd game day in the UCL showed again how stupid this new modus with more teams is. Out of 9 games we have 5 blowout games with 3x 4:0, a 5:0 and a 7:1. What is this? UCL used to be competitive and now this is a just a bad joke. It's like watching the domestic cup in the first round where 3rd/4th tier teams are hosting the top teams.

Guess it's fair to say that after only 27 games this year this "project" is doomed. UEFA did it again, took a good and solid product anf shat on it to milk more money. Very sad.

Arsenal - PSG match was nice and enjoyable, Arsenal won 2-0.
Arsenal played better than PSG and they deserved this victory.
Arsenal's second goal was nice, a well-worked organization.
There was a penalty that was not given to PSG, I think that position was a penalty.

B.Dortmund beat Celtics 7-1 and had the biggest win in the Champions League this year.

Hakan Çalhanoğlu scored a goal from a beautiful free kick for Inter.

We watched some great matches tonight.

Between these two teams I think is Arsenal that came to play and get a win because PSG never showed any sign of seriousnes. PSG was completely poor and what they normally display in the Ligue 1 we never get to see it and it seems the absence of Dembele affected the team, the force wasn't there at all. Arsenal dominated the game right from the first half to the end, something I never expected to happen because I thought PSG was going to make this game a very competitive game they were too sluggish. At least we saw the Gunners playing like they're in the champions league to compete and not to complete the other teams that are playing the champions league, first win for the Gunners and this is a positive step for Arteta and his boys.

So far there was no surprising results for week 2 because almost all of big teams who playing today gets the winning results unless PSG and i have seen too some of those teams can able to win with big scores such as Dortmund, Barcelona, Inter Milan and Manchester City and besides these teams i also notice France team Brest can successfully to overcomes Salzburg with the final scores 4-0 and i think this is unexpected because this is their first time to playing at this competition but Brest can able to gets 2 winning streak and i think this is impressive considering they are not the favourite

On the other hand Dortmund have successfully to humiliate Celtic and i can see Dortmund is very fantastic in this match because in the first half Dortmund can able to scores 5 goals and this situation too makes Celtic hard to bounce back however apparently Bundesliga teams has makes some of impressive records in champion league this season because after on the first week Bayern Munich can win 9-2 from Dynamo Zagreb and today it's Dortmund turn to win with big scores 7-1

Arsenal
Are very strong defensively, they have one of the best defenders in the EPL and the world right now, they are not afraid of any kind of attack be it area duels or set piece, they are always ready and the defenders have composure and they are avoiding errors just as Arteta told them. That is why all the chances created by PSG are wasted and the Arsenal goalkeeper Raya also save lots of chances that could have led to goal.

The remaining matches were all played and the results were as expected except the match between Leverkusen and AC Milan; the match ended 1-0 in favor of Laverkusen.

What looked like a potentially even game, turned out to be a totally one-sided performance. Borussia humiliated Scottish champions by destroying them 7-1. Celtic managed to respond to Dortmund's first goal only two minutes later, with Maeda equalising 1-1 (by what looked like a goal scored with an elbow to me, but whatever), but it was downhill from there.
Celtic looked really pale, like they were multiple levels below, especially in terms of mistakes they were making in defence. I think they just mentally gave up around 40th minute when they lost the 4th goal.

Borussia is now leading the table with six points and unlikely will be topped by any other team tomorrow as they now have +9 goal difference unless Bayern manages to win with more than 2 goals advantage against Aston Villa tomorrow, but I seriously doubt that. Bayern is the bookies' favourite, but my money would go on Villa.

I was so happy the way everything turned out and I expecting arsenal to win because the performance of psg have dropped since mbappe even left the club look at even haverts that we use to condemn have become a super in arsenal that is even scoring goals and also like one of the important players that we can not do without in any game and at last even saka is able to score in this game shows that their is still more opportunities for us this time around even in the champions league but I even feel that we need to focus more of the premier league than focusing on both of them. Lewandowski Is actually doing a great job for Barcelona to me he was even the man of the match.

They later completed the 4:0 making it five they did not even give the young boys any option to actually score a single goal, Barcelona is coming in serious this period so Barcelona is even looking more promising this season let's see how long it will last.

Today was actually good one for Barcelona though I missed the champions league matches(I though I could take a small nap before the game ) I almost missed everything but I was able to watch 15 mins to stoppage time for Barcelona... Even though they perform well, they missed some opportunities too and it's actually normal. At the end young boys could have had a goal from the game but the hand made it offside(what a bad day for Young boys ), their stats was somehow poor in attacking unlike Barcelona but it was a good game afterall .

AC Milan performed quite badly in the two matches they have played in the Champions League. Two defeats have made this big team in Serie A sit low in the standings. I think they really have to focus on improving their performance in the next match if they want to improve their position in the standings. Fonseca must be able to set a better strategy for the upcoming match because AC Milan will face Club Brugge and that is a great opportunity for AC Milan to win.

For Arsenal, of course, they played very carefully because their target was to get 3 points and they managed to get it by beating PSG. I think some teams that lost in the second match of the Champions League must evaluate their performance to be better in the upcoming match. Because there is still a chance for them to improve their performance to be able to qualify for the next round.

It was a good match for the Gunners. After the early goals, they allowed PSG to have more possession and were able to safely keep the lead until the end of the match, a very good tactic was successfully implemented by Arsenal players. PSG had good attempts, good attempts did not bring any results. Arsenal seem to be in much better form this season.

Arsenal can be said to be quite good when playing in front of their fans so there is no doubt at all to support them even though I often lose bets because of them. The calm and high confidence of young players like Saka I give a thumbs up, especially in this match. PSG's big name when they face it seems to be non-existent. Usually they will make a feeling of disappointment in betting at the end of the season.
Possession of the ball has become a tradition for them whether they win or lose. The absence of Odegaard, then the role of guarding the midfield can be filled well by Rice.

Leverkusen vs AC Milan.

This match was quite tough, Leverkusen dominated possession of the ball in the first half. In the second half, it was AC Milan's turn to dominate the game. This match was according to my prediction in the previous post, Xabi Alonso's team would win the match even though the score was narrow.

Arsenal vs PSG.

At first I doubted Arsenal would beat Paris Saint-Germain, but as a supporter I still support Arsenal. As a result, The Gunners won 2-0 over PSG at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal's home ground. In this match, it seemed that without Dembele, PSG were not playing optimally in this match. Even Desire Doue who replaced Dembele played underperform, it's natural that he is a young player. To be honest, I don't understand why Enrique believes more in Kang-in Lee as the center forward, even though Enrique has the option to make Kolo Muani a starter. Or Enrique could play Asensio, because he is on the list of players in this match. Even so, I am happy Arsenal won this match.

Barcelona vs Young Boys.

The match should have been easy to predict, and yeah, Barcelona won big against Young Boys with a score of 5-0. It's natural that Young Boys is not a strong team that will provide a fierce fight, fortunately I chose Over for the Barcelona match. Well, out of all the Champions League matches today, only three matches are my choice.

I was expecting more goals in the second half from Arsenal vs PSG match but I was surprised none of the was able to score any goal despite all the chances that PSG had in the second half, they couldn't score any goal and allowed Arsenal to win them on clean sheet. Mbappe was the player that do help PSG in their UCL matches and that was what affected them today

On the other hand, Barcelona and Man City was able to score more goals in the second half to increase the score line and I know that was possible because they played with a weak club and took advantage of their weakness. Dortmund scored the highest goals today against Celtic and I was shocked to see that the match ended a 7-1.

I actually enjoyed today's UCl game than the previous Tuesday's fixture. The score lines today was impressive.

For the arsenal game, I actually enjoyed the first half more than the second half, because arsenal were literally sitting back, unlike the good performance they gave in the first half. PSG made two good substitute of Fabian ruiz and kolo Muani which actually changed the dynamic of the game, and gave more possession to PSG, but they couldn't break the arsenal's defense. Though PSG had two good chance that hit the cross bar, which was quite unlucky for them. I don't know how Enrique will be feeling right now for not taking dembele along. In as much as every manager deserves respect, I'm not sure if this decision would have solved anything.

And congrats to other teams that won their games. Leverkusen where able to crack the serie A code, after defeating Ac Milan. It's now 2 UCL losses for AC Milan, and this doesn't tell a good story about them. Six more games to go, maybe they can do something. As for city, it was business as usual. Barcelona had a good day at the office, and it's a good way to bounce back from a loss. As for Dortmund, they did great, and Adeyemi seems to be a good player. I used to know him as a LB, before changing to LW, and i watched him play RW in their game last week, but wasn't sure of what he played today.
