I believe Arsenal can go further in the Champions League and also try as hard as possible in the Premier League, the most important thing is that Mikel Arteta can always overcome existing mistakes without having to feel pressured because Manchester City will always remain their main competitor. I have seen in the last 2 seasons actually Manchester City is not much different from Arsenal, as long as this club remains focused, then they can break Man City's dominance.
Manchester City and other elite clubs have been amazing and promising in the UEFA Champions League, just a better call for the big winning. Arsenal have everything, the one thing that keeps them up is hope and determination. Mikel Arteta have packed his best strategies infront and there's certainly going to be evidence for the team, it may not be now but in the nearest future, there's certainly full hope and success is ahead.
Last season Arsenal managed to record impressive statistics by reaching the quarter-finals, in previous seasons they were only able to reach the last 16. Unfortunately, their steps were too difficult because they had to face Bayern Munich, which has a better reputation and mentality in the Champions League. Arteta certainly realizes that competing in European competition is much more difficult than the Premier League, and extra preparation is needed to become the best team in Europe. In my opinion, Arsenal are currently just unlucky, they have made their best efforts to achieve the target, the depth of the squad that Arteta has built is also no less good than Manchester City. Maybe Arsenal success is only a matter of time, so they can change history by winning their first trophy.

Many have high hopes for Arsenal, you also have to consider that many teams have strengthened a lot, I like the way Arsenal plays, I just hope that this season they are more consistent in their games and win more, because sometimes they explode with genius and win games that are very difficult, making it clear that they are very strong, but suddenly they lose against a team that is not doing very well in the PL, and that is already disconcerting, I think that if they correct that, they could even be fighting for 1st place, let us remember how City and Liverpool are doing, they are teams that go with everything.
Arsenal has almost reached the highest level since being handled by Arteta, but their inconsistency towards the end of the season means they always fail to achieve success. Several players need to be brought in to increase their strength, last season Arsenal's front line had a bit of a problem because they had difficulty scoring goals in several matches. Arsenal must appear more consistent to compete in the UCL, they must close all gaps and help each other to achieve victory.

The strength in the defense line needs to be increased so that they don't concede goals easily, Arteta needs to choose players who are able to maintain their best performance to make it difficult for opposing players to penetrate Arsenal defense. Arsenal will be a dark horse team that is ready to surprise, last season Dortmund managed to surprise everyone with its impressive performance, maybe this season Arsenal will start something new that can increase the players' confidence.

Arsenal should be able to compete in the two competitions and they can't choose one of the two competitions for them to focus on because after all they are very prestigious competitions and worth fighting for, Arsenal last season appeared very superior and even they were able to become a team that is serious enough to challenge Manchester City in the championship competition in premier league, not only in the league,  Many of us actually hope that Arsenal can achieve great achievements in the Champions League last season considering their squad which had a pretty good performance but again and again Munich is a stumbling block that continues to thwart Arsenal in the Champions League, currently Arsenal must indeed be able to get the Premier League trophy to restore the mentality and also the confidence of their squad,But isn't it also better for Arsenal to continue to fight in the Champions League and who knows if they are lucky next season they can get one of the two trophies at the end season, but what is certain is that at this time Arsenal must be able to develop their squad to be better by bringing in experienced players to improve the quality and mentality of the team next season.
Even if Arsenal focused only on the Champions league I doubt if they can actually win it, Arsenal are strong team currently but in the UEFA they are still behind especially in mentality compared to big  teams. Barcelona even sadly failed in this last season when they shifted their focused to the champions league since it was clear to them they didn`t have much hope for their domestic league, mentality has a huge role to play here.
Also I don`t think Arsenal squad really lacks experience or trophy mentality since many of them have won top trophies from their previous clubs rather the entire team lack mentality for consistency when it`s obvious that they have everything to function well.

So many things haven't still changed though but I'm only interested in the league phase. Maybe this would help some different teams become more successful in some way.  Smiley

My favourite for this season is going to be Real Madrid especially after signing Mbappe.  Cool
A lot of teams are adapting with new players to try to unite the team with a short time to get points early in the domestic league and all teams that pass to the UCL will definitely also pursue their plans to quickly get contributions from new players and create a high stability to be able to success in every UCL game. Most football fans would make Madrid a favorite to win the title again and I as a Madrid fan would say the same but a lot of things to consider.

I mean, although the arrival of Mbappe gives extra strength to the line of attack but we don't know what other teams are going to do that are currently still looking for professional players to be added to the line up. But we also have to look at Dortmund, which is now bringing Guirassy, which could be a threat to Madrid.

Actually Arsenal should not even focus in winning the Champions league now, their main focus should be winning the EPL instead which they have a better chance of doing even Man city who have been dominating the EPL found it hard to get their first Champions League Trophy even with excellent players and a coach like Pep but with time they finally did which I think Arsenal can if they are consistent enough to snatch the EPL champions title from Man City.

Yes, maybe if Arsenal only focused on the Premier League, Arsenal would have the opportunity to win the Premier League trophy because for several seasons they have always failed to become champions in the EPL. Indeed, if you look at the tight competition in the UCL season that has just ended, of course there be many strong clubs like Manchester City in the 2023 season. 2024 who failed to advance to the final. and Arsenal will certainly have the potential to face difficulties when competing in the UCL 2024-2025.

but in my opinion, in this case it depends on Arsenal's performance and also depends on Arteta's technique because of course if a team has good performance it will of course be better to win both (the Premier League and the Champions League). However, if Arsenal focuses on the Premier League, it will certainly make it easier for Arteta's troops to become champions in the EPL.

Yes, of course to be successful it certainly takes time and indeed if Arsenal can succeed in winning the title in the EPL in the coming season it will certainly make Arsenal appear more confident in the 2025-2026 UCL season. Because life is uncertain and a season is long enough with so many uncontrollable, unexpected factors that force clubs, coaches and players have to try to play as best as possible in most of their matches and have to adjust their targets, focuses with time.

So they usually start a season with multiple competitions and have to adjust their targets, narrow them down through a long season. Arsenal will have to face with and beat many strong teams in Premier League and Champions League. Their more realistic target to win a trophy in a new season is Premier League where they ended two latest seasons as a runner-up and can step up to a higher position for a champion next season.
Yes, you are right, it is not easy for every club to achieve their expected targets even though they only focus on one competition, like Tottenham last season where they only focused on the Premier League because they did not play in the Champions League, in fact they still had difficulty winning the Premier League title. A club can use one point to win the title, so it is not about how close the points are but how to stay focus in order for you to take advantage of your rival defeat and win the title, which is what City always patiently wait for when they see Arsenal topping the league last season and last two seasons.

If Arsenal does not have that winning mentality, it will be difficult for them to win the title next season. Manchester city already have that winning mentality and that is why you see that towards the end of the season, that is when they will become stronger than before to enable them not lose any of the or matches but to win all.

Fenerbahce seems to be ready for the Lugano match. I think he will progress comfortably in the Champions League until the groups and now, with the addition of En-Nesyri, the offensive line is very strong.  This could be Tadic's season to become the assist king. In the offensive line, we can expect to see plenty of goal-scoring matches with the names he can score goals with.

En-Nesyri will not play in this game. It really saddens me that we're missing Cengiz and Mercan. But, Kruniç and Kent are in the lineup. I prefer to put Bartuğ in instead of Kruniç. This was because of poor performance shown by Kruniç. Dzeko may be a striker in this game for Fenerbahce.

It's also bad to see Saint-Maximin injured. I miss him playing. But, we can only see Kent in the lineup as his replacement. I'm only expecting 2-0 for the result in the Lugano match. Fenerbahce must win this match to advance. If they win, they will qualify for the Europa League.

The draw for the league phase is expected to take place on August 29, 2024. So there is still quite much time until then.

This season the place where the big final is going to be played is Fußball Arena München.

Rather than helping most teams become even more successful like you are suggesting, I'm thinking it will rather stress some more teams because they are not participating in the champions league alone, they have several other leagues to handle , some have their domestic league and a few other tournaments to carry alongside, this put together is enough to get them fatigued at some point and reduce their efficiency. As for the proposed venue for the finals, for me I see it as such an ideal one. Real Madrid happens to be the favourite for most supporters of the champions league this season obviously because of their form and foreseen strength and that's quite understandable.

They are going to be unstoppable, only Manchester City is capable of stopping Real Madrid from winning the Champions league again, they already had a great team that challenges for every trophy, the same team that won the CL and the LaLiga last season, yet they have added Mbappe to their team. The Frenchman is one of the best players in the world, now adding him into an already world class team is scary for opposition, and at this time, Real Madrid is favorites for all trophies.
Why you only mention Man City? Do you think other teams to have no chance against Real Madrid?
Inter Milan, Dortmund, Barcelona, PSG, Leverkusen, and Arsenal are also strong teams. These teams are not impossible to beat Real Madrid. Although Real Madrid has Mbappe, it doesn't automatically bring the trophy to Real Madrid. Mbappe may need time to adapt with the new teammates and the tactics applied by Ancelotti. Even if we can't deny that Real Madrid is very superior in UCL, we don't underestimate other teams. I also favor Real Madrid, but I don't think only Man City can compete with Real Madrid.

For sure Manchester City shouldn't be regarded as the main club that has the best performance of wining the champions League this upcoming season because there are also more better clubs, however I don't think Manchester City have what it takes to stop the real Madrid because they disappointed me this season when I was thinking that they have performance to win but at the end there strength was not good enough so perhaps if they come back this upcoming season with the same performance they will not have a chance on the champions League, however among all the clubs you listed above I think Borussia Dortmund should not be included because I don't think they will still maintain the performance they had on this season because I can see how they were struggling on there friendly match and losing to a small club.

Even though at the start of the season he seemed to consistently win, as did Arsenal, he still had to perform as well as possible in the Champions League because this is a prestigious competition even though his target was to win the Premier League title.
Talking about Tottenham, I was quite surprised to see they never improve in almost every season. Their abilities stop there and they couldn't be any better. In fact, they are a team that really has the potential to make a big surprise in the Premier League.
If I compare, what they experienced is almost the same as what Borussia Dortmund has experienced in the Bundesliga for at least a decade. Even though Tottenham never lacked quality players, especially when Harry Kane was still with them. However, it is the team's performance that seems to be making them difficult like this, apart from the competition which is indeed very competitive.

I believe Arsenal can go further in the Champions League and also try as hard as possible in the Premier League, the most important thing is that Mikel Arteta can always overcome existing mistakes without having to feel pressured because Manchester City will always remain their main competitor. Arsenal already have a strong enough foundation for them to continue next season, from season to season they always show improvement and improvement, this is a breath of fresh air for them and then they can achieve something they want. Mikel Arteta has so far been able to carry out his duties well, now it's just a matter of how he can create a squad that is more consistent.
If we reflect on their failures in 2 consecutive seasons, in fact they always have very good momentum. It's just that at the same time they slipped a little, which opened up opportunities for other teams to overtake them, and Manchester City, as their rival at that time, did not miss the opportunity that came to get back above Arsenal.

Thanks for taking the time to go over some of the new UCL format details on the thread. I got to understand it more than the UCL official guide thar just said "club coefficients" as one of the criteria for those 4 slots. I also agree with the fact that over the course of the competition, myself and other people still missing some details about the new format will get it. If anything, I'm excited to see how the new league phase will play out and whether we would get some big match-ups early in the competition as expected. Muchas gracias.
I cannot deny that at first I was also a little confused about the Champions League format that would be implemented for the first time, including determining the 4 teams that had the right to be in the Champions League next season. There are leagues that get it, and there are those that don't. But as time went by I began to understand the format to be used.
For example, in the initial or current phase of the league format the league will be used, but there will only be 8 matches. At first I was quite confused, but after reading on the official site and having several colleagues explain it, I began to understand that there would be a lottery that would determine who would be their opponents. In my opinion, this is a normal thing when at the beginning we don't understand a little, because usually we always use the old format and after the new format is officially introduced we have to study it again. I am sure that in the future we will really understand this format and hopefully this format can make the competition even more interesting.

Next season will be hugely surround with prizes,we have a lot going through our minds. The stronger club win the UCL trophy with ease, and I'm counting on my favorite club to proclaimed the status club with ease. The new UEFA Champions League format seems interesting but it's definitely going to  e unwelcome in the current season, atleast most people are yet to acknowledge this format and put it into use.
Believe me, there are not a few strong clubs in the Champions League because those who participate here are selected clubs from other leagues who have strong performance so it is not easy for any club to face each other even if it is Real Madrid because we cannot predict what will happen next season .
At first I didn't understand why the Champions League changed their format, but after I thought about it, it seemed like this was done so that the competition would become fiercer and there would be more matches like the domestic league, even though I actually don't know how the matches will go.
That is why they call it the Champions League, the Champions of every division, so no one should expect a nonentity there. But at the same time, leagues are tougher than each other, some league winners would be easily defeated by a 10th position holder of another league, but overall, the UCL is always interesting and better contested for the respect attached to it than most other leagues. This time, things are changing indeed and you should not be surprised about it because what is constant in this life is Change, we should expect that all the time. Everything shouldn't always be in the old way, that's why I believe FIFA and other football governing bodies are looking into more fairness and better competitions.

It was first about the next World Cup, now, it's the UCL and I believe one of the reasons they resorted to the current plan is for it to be more competitive and not the situation where some clubs will not be able to meet measurable opponents due to a few mistakes or as a result of the prepared initial 4 grouping that did not favour them as we initially know. By this current plan, the underperforming one will still have the chance to be in the next 16 if they can retrace back their weakness, and by this, they will have the opportunity to meet the teams that wouldn't have been possible with the old format. For me, this is better as it is like mixing the contenders more effectively and giving them a better chance.

Chelsea is the last team won the UEFA Champion League trophy after defeating Bayern Munich when the final placed at Fußball Arena München Stadium as previous name Allianz Arena Stadium. But its not good memorize for Chelsea regarding not qualified to Champion League next season after failure reach the Champion League spot place trough domestic league.

Its good memorize for Bayern Munich has advantage with play in front of their fans in can qualify until final round and has more motivate for winning the Champion League trophy after last winning edition on season 2019/20.

New format of Champion League adopted with league phase start on September 17, its around five weeks after some top Europe competition begin with Premier League kick off start on middle of August. Champion League season 2024/25 indeed adopt new format phase group change become league phase my favorite team still Real Madrid have bigger opportunity to be winner back to back exactly after success signing most qualities player Kylian Mbappe.

Arsenal have high team-spirit in past season and they've everything to win but there's certainly one excluded quality they need to add and that's the mentality of becoming Champions. Mere watching their games especially their league matches, one would easily noticed their incredible tremendous performance against mediocre clubs but when it comes to elite ones, they're a little bit shiver but at the end of the day, they get the work done. My point exactly is for Mikel Arteta to improvise strategically solid method for winning major titles and maintaining balance in his team's streak winnings.

If anything, I'm excited to see how the new league phase will play out and whether we would get some big match-ups early in the competition as expected.
There should be big matches in the early of competition. This can show surprising results although it doesn't determine which teams to have higher chance to qualify for the next round. The early matches are also very important, this can show which teams to have a better preparation during the pre season. The teams who have good prepare, they will easily get positive results.
