Galatasaray had to admit the superiority of Young Boys, they had to lose again in the second leg with a score of 1-0 so they had to say goodbye to the Champions League because they lost with an aggregate of 4-2 to Young Boys.
Young Boys can be very calm in this match, they know that they are superior and they are aware that Galatasaray will play openly to find a quick goal, so they can prepare a strategy very well and win this important match again. Galatasaray had to experience bad luck because when they were racing against time to create an equalizer, they had to play with 10 men.
3 places have been filled, just looking for 4 more teams to complete the place in the Champions League.
damm...! that's all I can say about the match, previously I personally have high hopes if the galatasaray can turn the tide in the second leg and betting on their victory is not a disadvantage, but in fact the galatasaray was not able to do much in the match after the youngboy destroyed them in front of his supporters, to be honest what happened to galatasaray at the moment made me lose faith in Turkish clubs and It seems that they are no longer as great as they used to be when they played in European competitions, previously Mourinho failed to survive the Champions League with Fenerbache and now we see how Galatasaray have to be eliminated from a team that has actually been below them all this time, poor strategy and also Galatasaray lack of creativity in the game is one of the reasons for their defeat and even when they continued to waste many scoring opportunities in the first leg, but in the second leg they played more worse without any better chances to break into Young Boy goal.
I don't know if it will be okay to say the red card has an effect on the psychology of Galatasaray such that it really has to show in their productivity, all along they had been the favourite for most persons and most hope were on them in the fact that they were looking better than young boys but interestingly, as football will always come with its own surprise and other forms of uncertainty, they have out chances to young boys and Young boys didn't fail to utilize it and here they are qualifying for the champions league but beyond this is another serious struggle for young boys so they shouldn't celebrate just yet except they aim to go get some experience alone from the champions league.
Young Boys, despite having much lower opportunities than Galatasaray, managed to win two matches despite doing very badly in the league. Last year in the Champions League, all teams had a hard time in Galatasaray Istanbul, but this year in the preliminary round, Young Boys crushed them. Galatasaray players started to get angry towards the end of the match. Since the match reports, everyone believed that Galatasaray would make it through the round, but with an expected elimination, Galatasaray will not be able to take part in the Champions League after many years.

Arsenal are not good in Champions league and I don't think that the management will give him any warning because even during Arsene Winger time, it was difficult for Arsenal to excel in UCL. Reaching the quarter finals last season is not a sign of improvement that they will reach the semifinals.
I can't totally agree if you claimed Arsenal is bad in UCL. Even if they are very often eliminated in round of 16, they ever reached UCL final in Henry era. Sure, the quarter-final wasn't an impressive achievement for Arsenal in the last season. However, we can understand if they were defeated because they played against Bayern Munich. If we consider the squad quality, Bayern Munich was surely ahead of Arsenal. Bayern Munich is also one of the favorite team to win UCL and they are more experienced than Arsenal. They may be unlucky to face Bayern Munich in the quarter-final last season. Who knows that they may have a better luck this season.  Wink

Semifinals is for strong teams who are dominating UCL and not for a team like Arsenal who don't have the winning mentality when they are facing pressure and they easily give up. Bold, confident and desperate teams are the ones who reaches the semifinals.
Of course, weak teams will never reach the semi-final round. Regarding the mentality of Arsenal players, it can be debatable. But if we consider the squad quality, I've no doubt that Arsenal is actually capable to reach the semi-final round this season. It is all about their consistency to play in each competition, specifically in UCL matches. If they can do it, they will have a chance to reach the semi-final.

Have I mentioned how much I hate Galatasaray now? Lol, all jokes aside they have managed to make me lose money twice in a row, they were seen as clear favourites, odds as low as 1.33 some places, showing that they weren't just favourites, they were expected to dominate, and when you look at the teams that isn't really that shocking, they really did have that chance and could have happened, but didn't, why is that?

Well, simply answer is that we are talking about a situation where it's clear that we can't have results that we want anytime we want it, it's just not going to happen. Galatasaray was the better team, as agreed by all, but they were the team that played worse, which happens, usually not twice in a row but something must be wrong with them.

Nobody thinks it will be like this because seriously, Young Boys is not supposed to be a challenge for Galatasaray that they cannot win in both the first and a second leg, which is too bad of them. This shows how poorly they will perform this season. It will be difficult to predict Galatasaray even though we said it before that Galatasaray will do well in the second leg; unfortunately, we have witnessed and still lost the game.

I can’t call this luck as I did for their first leg, but I will directly say that Young Boys are currently stronger than Galatasaray. However, we have now realised that Galatasaray is not a team that we should put high hope on. With the way they are playing currently, I don’t think it will favour them this time around.

Here are some of the projected UCL pots.

The draw will take place on Thursday afternoon so we will finally know teams and their opponents. If Y'all recall, there is a new format for European games called the league phase amd we would get to know teams playing against each other in those 8 games that each team would play against.

I have since avoided Galatasaray in any of my betslips so far. Their level of inconsistency is something I can not deal with this season. I tried to manage it last season but I won't bet on Gala for this unless I see significant improvement ib their overall team results and some consistency.

Young Boys did very well with their limited budget and managed to qualify for the Champions League. Galatasaray had a fiasco despite having a very big squad with a very high budget. In 2 games they played very badly, they didn't deserve to qualify for the Champions League. All that money and investment was wasted. Young Boys should be congratulated, money is not everything. It's more important to be a team.

I think Galatasaray is able to turn things around in the second leg because they are playing at home and also, the aggregate is only 2-3 I think there is still a very good chance for Galatasaray in the second leg. Not only that, because I am very confident that Galatasaray will be able to turn things around so I also bet and choose Galatasaray to win. But what happened was that Galatasaray played badly even though they were playing at home, instead of having a chance to score a goal, but in reality Galatasaray really failed and got a deadlock until they were unable to score a goal in the second leg eventhough they were playing at home.

Of course, this is a disappointing result considering the quality of the budget and also, basically Galatasaray still having a chance to turn things around. But in reality, I didn't expect Young Boys to be able to play well in an away match like this. Because after all, even though Young Boys had won the aggregate, but Young Boys still played  aggressively in this second leg. Thus, it is not surprising that Young Boys also managed to have good dominance with good statistical records in this second leg.

After a long absence in the UCL last season, Arsenal reached the quarter-finals. Meraka lost narrowly to Munich 0-1. This season I think they have better players. They should be able to compete and be better than last season. The management's trust in Arteta has brought improvement. Aretata is given a lot of money to spend, I think they are a team that has a chance to enter the semifinals this season.

Arteta certainly learned from the mistakes of 2 seasons. Furthermore, if Arteta fails, Arsenal should also give a warning, because Arteta has been with Arsenal for quite a long time and Arteta's transfer policy always has management support.

Isn't about Arsenal not having a winning mentality but they haven't gotten what it takes to win the Champions League trophy. Champions league game isn't a game for amateur clubs, especially when it gets to the semi final games, it meant for stronger teams, to me only boys are still playing in the team of Arsenal, they only need to step up the team a bit, they're are not that bad team when it comes to the Champions League competition but a fair team.

Arsenal's performance is fine for the Premier League but they won't be able to do the same in the Champions League at least. They perform in such a way that it seems that the Champions League tournament is not important to them. One match was won, one match was lost, they have no problem with this, they are only giving importance to the Premier League tournament. If Arsenal took the Champions League tournament seriously, they would have done well in the Champions League long ago and their main plan would have been the Champions League. Some players have changed this season and there will be an expectation that they focus equally on the Champions League as well as the Premier League.
In last few years, we are having Arsenal as one of the best team in Premier League and their performance could be much improved in Champions League in this season because in last season they have done good job but sadly at the end they have elimination after having defeat against Bayern Munich but this season they are well-prepared for having good performance and better chance for going until last rounds even this is never been easy to predict, but they can achieve their best.

Usually we have mindset about English clubs they are not taking these UEFA competitions seriously so they lost quickly and jump into their domestic system for having better results, but this is never been good because they also love to have good results in these events and give their best hopefully we will have Manchester City and Arsenal at their best for having better results.

Arteta failing this season again will pose a lot of risk to his work because he can’t keep been the runner ups in the league competition and not make it that far in the champions league. The champions league if filled with a lot of big clubs and that alone should not make it that easy for them. They’ve done well last season in the champions league, maybe this year they can go a bit further with one more round, like making it to the semifinals.

I won’t put too much hope on them though, but if they can make it to the extent they did last season, I mean to the quarterfinals, then I’ll applaud them for that effort because it’s not easy to reach there amidst the many big clubs in the competition. Arsenal could surprise us this season or we may continue to see the Arsenal of last season again this year because I don’t feel they’ll underperform than they did last season in all competitions.

Slavia Prague vs Lille

Slavia Prague starting lineup:
Kinsky; Holes, Ogbu, Zima; Masopust, Dorley, Zafeiris, Diouf; Schranz, Chory, Provod

Lille starting lineup:
Chevalier; Meunier, Diakite, Alexsandro, Gudmundsson; Santos, Andre, Haraldsson, Zhegrova; Cabella; David

Lille in the comfortable position because they have won 2-0 in the first leg and for this match although currently Slavia Prague playing as a host i think it's hard for them to gets the winning results 3 goals without conceded moreover Lille is in the good shape because they were unbeated in the last 6 matches in all competitions

Actually at home Slavia Prague have good records for qualification stages because Slavia Prague is still unbeaten in the last 8 home matches but their opponent is Lille which is very strong so i doubt they can beat Lille today and for betting option i think both teams to scores or over 2.5 goals is good

Match first leg LOSC managed to win 2 - 0 over Slavia Praha and Dinamo Zagreb won 3 - 0 over Qarabag, today the second leg for this match will also start and Slavia Praha plays at home as well as Qarabag.
I personally think this second match is match that will be difficult to predict who will win but I sure LOSC can qualify for the next round, but for Qarabag itself it will be difficult to surpass Dinamo Zagreb with the 3 aggregate points they have.
I don't know who will get the advantage in these two matches and can qualify for the next round, what is clear is that Dinamo Zagreb has fairly comfortable condition with the 3 aggregate points they have, playing away with draw might be the only way for Dinamo Zagreb.
In these two matches I also took the BTTS option to bet, the chances of goals from each team are really quite large if look at the performance of the first leg match.
Tonight is going to be one of the best in qualifying rounds as we have few interesting matches first Qarabağ vs Dinamo Zagreb where Zagreb having 3 goals lead even I am sure about Qarabağ win, but I have strong feeling most chances they will be not able to cover this deficit with things are surely unpredictable because Qarabağ is having interesting history in recent matches they are playing good soccer.

Other matches are also having good chance of going either way, but Lille can stay on better spot as they are having good squad and their performance in last few games are interesting.

Slovan Bratislava and Crvena zvezda both are having good margin of win as their performance in first leg games were also not bad at all Usually teams having good advantage of home ground and fans which is also having good impact on their performance and result.

Galatasaray played in a horrible way last night. I don't know how they managed to be worse than the first leg just in front of their fans. I see it as a big disgrace to tell the truth.  Sad

If you can't beat even a team that are in the last place of their domestic league then your place is absolutely not the Champions League. So I think it is much better not to see them reaching the main stage. Yeah maybe they were still going to earn €30m in total whatever results they would get. But it was probably going to be much worse thinking of country coefficient. If they improve this effort then maybe they can do better in the Europa League.

Lastly I don't think it is Okan Buruk's fault. It is all on the president, Dursun Özbek's policies...

Galatasaray could not make any significant income. They played very badly against Young Boys on their home field. I did not expect them to play like this and this surprised me. The fans had high support for their team but the team did not play well. They lost the first game by 1 goal difference and if they had managed to score 1 goal on their home field the game could have been very different.

The manager was criticized for his squad selection and the changes he made. Galatasaray seems to be a superior team in terms of level but Young Boys played very well in the series and eliminated their opponents.

The result that Galasataray had to accept even though many were disappointed with the result in the last match. Like it or not, congratulations to Young Boys who are back playing in the Champions League even though during the Champions League they couldn't do much.
Many bet on the 2nd leg for Galatasaray to win based on the result of the match at home which lost 3-2. But in fact, the disappointing result happened in Istanbul, Turkiye.
Already in the first half it became clear that Galatasaray had big problems, when Young Boys made 11 shots on goal and 5 of them were on target, while Galatasaray, who only needed a win, made only 1 shot on target during the whole half. In the second half they tried to be more active but at the end of the match they conceded a goal, unexpectedly but with such a game there could not be another outcome, Galatasaray was not ready to play in the Champions League.
Regardless of whether they are ready or not, what is clear now is that Galatasaray failed because Young Boys successfully defeated them in 2 legs at once. It does not mean that Galatasaray does not deserve to be in the Champions League, but in this decisive match, Young Boys were the ones who successfully eliminated their opponents.

Now Young Boys have qualified, but that does not mean they can relax because they will face a team that is even stronger than the team they defeated in this play-off round. They must prepare themselves as well as possible to be able to provide tough competition. No matter who their opponent is, what is clear is that they must be ready from now on.

Even if Young Boys try hard, they have no chance in the next round. We just have to see that they beat Galatasaray, which is from the Turkish league, with great difficulty. We all know very well that the big teams in the Turkish league are weak when they play in European competitions. So by that I mean that in the first games of the next round when Young Boys play against teams like Atalanta, Dortmund, Benfica, Sporting, Atlético Madrid, Girona. PSV, which are not very big teams that are in the Champions League, will be very strong opponents for Young Boys, and everything will get worse if they face stronger opponents like Manchester City, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool, Leverkusen, Bayern. I don't see Young Boys having any success in the next round.

If Turkish teams are going to play so badly, it is better that we do not see them in the Champions League.
If they had continued to play like this, they would have beaten our Turkish teams in the Champions League by a very different score, it would have been worse for us.
I am happy with the situation.

I understand where you're coming from.
I take it that you're Turkish yourself - do you know if there's any particular reason for the decline in Turkish football?
Galatasaray/Fenerbahce/Besiktas used to be forces to be reckoned with and regularly appeared in the group stages of the Champions League, and now they can't even qualify.
Am I correct to think that the weakening of the Turkish economy in recent years is primarily to blame?

Galatasaray played poorly and was eliminated, but the thing that caught my attention the most was Muslera kicking the football player who was celebrating a goal and receiving a red card.
I did not see the position in the television broadcast, but I was saddened when I saw the image on social media. Maybe he did it out of anger and stress at that moment, but I think it did not suit a goalkeeper like Muslera.
In the matches of the night, only Galatasaray was eliminated and made a surprise. Prague and Salzburg made it to the Champions League groups.
My predictions were even wrong about Galatasaray. I think that Galatasaray will be able to win the match in the second leg and qualify for the next stage. But my guess was wrong. And I also lost my bet. Young Boys seems to be able to overcome every strategy made by their opponents. But I can also understand it because Young Boys is actually a team that has qualified for the UCL group stage far more often than Galatasaray in the last few seasons.

But I have a little more hope for Galatasaray because last season they performed quite well. But it seems that every time the season changes, we will always see ups and downs in a club's strength. And yes, even though we are used to seeing this, we still always feel surprised.
Although the squad generally held their own, they played much worse in the preliminary round compared to last year. Young Boys played very well in the preliminary round and could have scored 4-5 goals in the first match, but they were held to 3 goals. The last Turkish champion Galatasaray had a terrible preliminary round, losing both matches, and time will tell us what they will do in the European league.

It is really hard to determine the direction of the bet on the champions league qualifying round today and maybe this is the best option I choose to avoid bad results that occur. Smiley

Qarabag still has a big task where they lost with an aggregate of 3 goals from Zagreb and it feels quite impossible for them to catch up on the difference and rather than thinking about how to comeback they better think if the match will be a draw or even Zagreb wins again. Next Crvena against Bodo Glimt with a thin aggregate in the first leg 1-2 and I think Bodo Glimt will not give up easily even though this time they have to complete the mission of winning in the away game. So just in case I choose draw/bodo glimt.

For Slavia praha against Lille, this is a difficult possibility where I think both teams have the same chance of winning and even though Lille is ahead by an aggregate of 2 goals but the possibility of a comeback is quite large and on the other hand Lille can still add to their goals. So I choose the result over 2.5 goals. While Mitijland, I have no doubt that they will still win considering this is a decisive match with an aggregate draw against Bratislava.
