I feel like Manchester City is getting both overrated and underrated at the same time and it is funny to me. People who think that Manchester City will win this year, are acting as if Real Madrid (or any other team really) have absolutely no chance and City will destroy everyone this season.

And people who think Real (or any other team really) will win acting like Manchester City is a terrible team that has absolutely no chance of winning at all. That's not the case, find the middle guys. We are going to see City have a chance, maybe it will be a good decent chance, or maybe a little lower, but it is a chance. They "may" win, but to be fair they "may" lose too, we do not know what is going to happen and we need to wait and see.

Mbappe will get privilege base on his performance and contribution to the Madrid's team but isn't something that will happen immediately but with time and base on his contribution in the club, you can take this part away,  basically the fact that when these big name players joined a particular club most of them usually get special treatment from their manager and also further having more influence or say in the team than every other player in their.
Some of the preference may even come at the very beginning of his stay in Madrid and with time may not be there anymore as they may probably be replaced by another that's even more than that he had gotten earlier and all this is dependent on his performance and the results and outcome form his performance as he further stays in the Spanish side. Mabppe is expected by all to do something great at Madrid, owing to the fact that he's a big name and he's also in a big team so it appears like a platter of gold which less isn't expected at any moment.

Madrid is just the perfect place for.mbappe to strive and probably get to the peak of his career, he has been such a talent that most team especially Madrid has wished and wanted to have hime.on their team long before now and, now they have gotten that uneven privilege to have him in their tem, he also appears as one who has always wished and wanted to be in the Madrid team too and it's a dream come true so I'm believing every of this opportunity will be used to the fullest, and the reward therefore is sure, one of which will be the special treatment form the coach and the team a a whole of which in some cases the management may likely get to favour him in different ways too.

Indeed. No manager will stay forever, someday he must leave the team. When a new coach/manager comes, he must have some challenges. He needs to adapt with the players and the atmosphere of the competition. Sometimes it takes for more than 1 season to adapt well and manage the team in the right way. Choosing the right strategy/tactics must know the players first, it won't be easy and won't be in a short time. Even a coach is an experienced person, it won't be an instant process to adapt with a new team.
Any great coach also needs time to make a club successful, Carlo Ancelotti, Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, Thomas Tuchel, Jurgen Kloop. They are great coaches and they need several seasons to make the club they coach win a title whether domestic or international and clubs also have to be more patient in dealing with the process because it is not easy to build a club, especially building a big club, it requires focus and consistency so that the club can perform well. There is no coach who gives instant results. If there really is one, I think his hands are magical.

It even took Xabi Alonso 2 seasons to improve Leverkusen's performance to become an unbeatable club even though Leverkusen is not an elite club, but when the management is patient and enjoys the process, finally Leverkusen can enjoy good results this season and win the title, so if the club wants success they should Don't change coaches in a short time because that will make it difficult for the players to adapt to the new coach and make their performance unstable because they have to deal with different coaches who have different strategies.

Yes, I understand that a coach definitely is going to need time to bring in good results with a club. But my question is how far is someone going to allow his club to drop? Is it ok if the club actually goes to the relegation zone and starts improving? Or is it ok if the club actually gets relegated and after that starts improving? I think a lot of people are actually concerned and want to see a new coach quickly because they are actually worried that something like that might happen. Of course, it is an example of the extreme situation that could happen. But people are always going to assume the worst. Just because it took someone two years to bring in good results with a squad, doesn’t mean for the other coaches it is going to be the same. It could take longer or it might not even take two years.

Liverpool and PSG are going to be teams that I will be wondering the most next season.

- Liverpool are starting off with a clean slate. Arne Slot is in charge after 9 seasons with Klopp. We don't even have much knowledge about him. I only know him with some achievements in the Dutch league and that's all.  Sad

- I'm curious about PSG too because they don't have Mbappe anymore. We have watched them with their superstar for years. The system has been built over him all the time. From now on Luis Enrique will need to make significant changes. Who knows maybe it might work and they start performing better than ever.  Grin

Especially PSG are in desperate need of winning a Champions League title. But for now it is hard to believe in them to do it.

Basically, Mbappe will not be able to do as he pleases, a bit like he did when he was at Paris saint Germain, in PSG he was the top player pampered by everyone and had no major rivals in his role, at Real Madrid he will become one of many top players and the starting place is by no means assured. So he better be respectful of the locker room hierarchies
Mbappe has a privilege at PSG so that he does have a behavior and also an ego that does make him feel powerful over other players in the team and also the coach, after extending his contract with PSG two seasons ago, Mbappe got the privilege to set manage players and also determine the coach to be fired or stay according to Mbappe wishes, so that is what makes many conflicts occur within the PSG team and of course has an impact on stability and also PSG performance so far, after joining Madrid, of course he will not get this privilege later, so far we know that Mbappe is a star player that Madrid continues to covet, but that does not mean Madrid will prioritize Mbappe over other players in the squad.

Ancelotti is a very experienced coach so of course he will be able to handle players like Mbappe in the squad, besides that all this time we know Ancelotti as a coach who is indeed very firm so that he does not hesitate to Pulling out star players because who are not in accordance with expectations and also follow his instructions.

It's dumb to expect wonders right away in the UCL or EPL. Give the guy some time. While tactics are important, it's also important for the players to understand how he does things. But I'm hopeful, man. Today, football is all about being able to change and adapt. Slot will surprise a lot of people if he can get the team to think that way. This isn't going to be like Manchester United when Ten Hag was in charge. Liverpool is different , and I believe Slot has the drive and concepts to really make things happen
Yes, it is clear that every new coach needs time to adapt to all the players in the main squad because it also requires an approach to know the playing character of each player in Liverpool and Slot of course must be given enough time to make Liverpool a good team in the next season. , this is important considering that Klopp's resignation will certainly cause the players' performance to decline, but Slot must ensure that he can replace Klopp and can bring Liverpool to compete in the EPL and UCL next season.

I think it's too pushy and pressing if you have to hope that Slot can bring Liverpool to win the EPL or UCL next season, even though nothing is impossible in football of course everyone has to think more clearly, it's not easy to adapt to new players and coaches in a short time everyone it needs a process and the Slot must utilize each process to continuously improve it if there are mistakes he makes in setting strategy, tactics or rotating players to compete. Can't wait to see Liverpool's first debut with Slot.

I agree with you on that, because Mbappé can arrive in a very capricious way to a Madrid where basically he can't and shouldn't do things the way he wants, Madrid is not PSG and that was one of the reasons why they didn't want Mbappé to come to Madrid and I think that here the one who is going to make the difference without a doubt is going to be Ancelotti, because above all he is a gentleman who must be respected, everyone at Madrid respects him and knows that he is more than a coach, he is like a father to them, when he found out that Kross was leaving, Carletto cried, so Ancelotti is more than a coach to them, that's why I don't think that Mbappé will arrive with that emphasis of wanting to do whatever he wants.

Basically, Mbappe will not be able to do as he pleases, a bit like he did when he was at Paris saint Germain, in PSG he was the top player pampered by everyone and had no major rivals in his role, at Real Madrid he will become one of many top players and the starting place is by no means assured. I think that before doing that he should think about Ancelotti, because Ancelotti is a very good coach but he is seen to be very severe, so in this order of ideas things can be considered very good because this player, if he comes with great potential, must adapt no matter what, even more so now that Madrid is on a winning streak and here he must do what he is told and accept the group of players as they are, therefore things for him at Madrid only depend on him, I am sure that he can show everything he has but as long as he respects and adapts, perhaps things can be easy if he makes up his mind.

Liverpool didn't fire Jurgen Klopp because Klopp decided to retire himself so I think Liverpool still has a good relationship with Klopp. In my opinion, there is a possibility that Arne Slot will be selected because of Klopp's suggestion. For the first stage, Liverpool cannot hope to achieve good results in the UCL and EPL. Arne Slot also requires tactical adaptation to each Liverpool player. Every coach has a different way even though they have the same philosophy. In modern football I don't think big names make much of an impact. A coach must be able to adapt to various variations of tactics and watch replays of each opponent's game. I think a flexible coach is the coach Liverpool needs right now.
Things are going well for Klopp and the club. There shouldn't be any drama, which is a good start. Slot, this dude's got some serious chops. He was great at Feyenoord, and while every boss is different, Klopp's support for him says a lot

This season Liverpool is no longer managed by Jurgen Klopp. I think we can understand why some people are not confident with Liverpool anymore. Moreover, the new coach of Liverpool has no experience in UCL. He even never managed a big team in Europe, Liverpool is his first big team to manage by him. Instead of thinking to win UCL title, Liverpool must try to keep their good performance in EPL. However, Liverpool still can compete with other teams in UCL even if they are no longer as one of the favorite teams now. If there is no big change in their squad, I think it is not impossible to see them until the quarter-final or even semi-final. As long as they won't face Real Madrid or Man City in the early of knock-out round.

I agree with that, but the main thing that I think matters is the manager experience and also the squad. If the team has competed in a competition before, I don't think it will be a big challenge for them because the squad already knows how tough the competition will be, so the players will be ready for it, and the managers will be able to face the challenge. Although I face the challenge. Although I know that it won't be easy for him to challenge big teams in UCL since it is the first time, if he has confidence and was good in his previous team, we should definitely expect a good result from him.

Liverpool fans themselves also don't know whether Arne Slot will be compatible enough with Liverpool players or whether he will also bring new tactics that can be introduced to Liverpool players for better purposes if it is true that Arne Slot was suggested by Jurgen Klopp to coach Liverpool when he chose to retire at the end of last season. But on the one hand, I also think that Liverpool will not be a bad team next season because after all, the tactics often used by Jurgen Klopp himself are definitely still very attached to the current Liverpool players.

The fact that you said Arne Slot was introduced to Liverpool by Klopp made me believe that even if there will be a big change, he won't do that now. He will continue using Klopp's tactics that he left for the players because maybe later he will start introducing his own pattern to the players, but I believe he will not bring a big change to them once the season starts. Since he didn't have the experience of UCL, I think he will be managing the team with Klopp's tactics.

today as today it is like this, a coach who wins everything with a team later feels the need to find new challenges and win things that he has not won
the era of coaches who stay decades no longer exists, precisely for this reason
now at certain levels, money is relative, they want titles

Arne slot will of course try to bring back the glory of Liverpool because indeed so far Klopp has left a lot of glory and also achievements in Liverpool during his training, if talking about the English League, maybe Arne Slot will not be difficult to adapt because it is true that he is still maintaining the team framework that has been formed by Klopp so far, but competing in the Champions League will certainly be a new challenge in his career because so far I have seen If Arne Slot has no experience in the Champions League so far.
That's right, Arne Slot seems to be getting a test this time and of course it won't be easy to compete with other strong teams in the Champions League. Rather than pursuing the target, what is more important now is how to get Liverpool through the group stage because if they fail then Liverpool will have to go down to the European league and that will make them experience the same situation as last season.

On the other hand, we cannot ignore that Liverpool, who will be in the Champions League next season, will still be a team to be reckoned with and the rest we can only hope is that Arne Slot's strategy will change his style of play so that the opposing team will find it difficult to read his strategy.

I like the way Arne Slot built his team. If he leads Liverpool, it would be great because he is very good. Although still a young coach, Slot already boasts an impressive CV and is considered one of the brightest football minds in the Netherlands.

Slot is well aware of the heavy task awaiting him next season when he has to replace Jurgen Klopp - who has won many titles with The Kop. Fans will certainly make comparisons with his predecessor and Slot knows that only results will give him credibility. Arne Slot must also soon stabilize the situation at Anfield. There has been information that many Liverpool members will leave after Jurgen Klopp's "reign" ends. Arne Slot will certainly have to make good use of Liverpool's squad structure at present, to ensure the team's sustainability shortly. The journey has just begun and we'll see what he can do.

It's true, of course there will be no coach who will last forever. There will definitely be a time when a coach who has stopped will definitely leave. Of course, when a new coach comes, it requires adaptation, moreover, each coach definitely has their own tastes, so they have to be able to adapt themselves to their environment and get used to being able to blend in and that certainly doesn't take a short time, it definitely takes quite a long time to be able to adapt and find the best between each other, especially when a change of coach occurs there will definitely be changes, even if they are said to be small.

as has happened with several teams that have just recruited new coaches, I think they need time to adapt. Even though previously they had a good and strong performance, it is unlikely that the new coach will carry out what has happened, of course the new coach will make changes according to his wishes. I hope that all teams that recruit new coaches can adapt well so that they can find the best point in their team's performance and be ready to compete in the upcoming matches.

yes but you are only talking about Spanish teams, remember that Europe is big and that the big teams are not always the best or win the most, there are many teams that are growing in Europe, think that Leverkusen or Atalanta are not they can reach the champion's quarterfinals, well the answer for me is definitely yes considering that even teams like Bologna can do really badly I would be very careful about Italy this year too, we'll see some good ones that's for sure

The Spanish team is still dominating the UCL. Europe is not a major deal for the Spanish squad ; if not, Real Madrid would not have won 15 UCL trophies. Many clubs are growing together; nonetheless, Real Madrid continues to dominate the UCL. I believe Real Madrid can still maintain its dominance.
After signing Mbappe as a new attacker, Madrid now lacks a worthy opponent in UCL;as a result, real madrid will still dominate UCL, it has biggest probability to defend UCL trophy they won last season.

It's definitely true, atalanta and leverkusen can reach quarter final; However, the competition is getting tougher with the implementation of the new format of UCL. In fact, competing in UCL is far tougher compared to the europa league, and these clubs(atalanta/leverkusen) will have tougher opponents. Ultimately, to reach the quarter final, they shall have worked even harder.

That's the point, maybe @Sg4j1n3ll0 lost focus a bit. I will not rule out Atalanta and Leverkusen but the fact is that for these two teams it is too early to easily conquer the UCL next season as a whole. I'm not underestimating this team, but when we talk about UCL, everyone knows that mentality and experience are the keys for every team to be able to survive in the biggest competition. Real Madrid is a reflection of 2 important factors and like it or not, 15 trophies make other clubs admit that nothing can surpass Madrid's UCL trophy for the next 10 years or even more.

I also like Leverkusen especially after their unbeaten record this season has proven that they are worthy. However, being faced with Atalanta indicates that Leverkusen still needs to learn a lot. At UCL, holding an unbeaten record is not enough, there are many factors that must be had, at least long flying experience that can be used as the main capital.

I agree with you that Champions League will be more competitive next season. The Leverkusen team is very strong despite not having many star players. On the other hand, Manchester City will try to strengthen their squad next season. Reigning champions Real Madrid have already managed to strengthen their squad by adding Mbappe to the squad.
Bayer Leverkusen will make sure they're having their top prime in UCL next season because the concluded season, they fought with fierce strength and Xabi Alonso was there to make sure they're having a long run. You're absolutely saying the truth, from next season we will experience the most challenging UCL tournament and none of these teams will relent with actions and performance. Every other elite club will make moved to strengthen their club and we totally understand how the matches will go.

Manchester City win  Wink
Oh, wait, there is king madrid in front of city!
Real Madrid are favorites ahead of Manchester City, they are like the king of the champions league, they have turned the league to their own. City are top contenders but Madrid have higher winning percentage.

They haven't had much luck this season. But they will win the next one without any problems.  Roll Eyes
I'd rather favor madrid to win UCL next season without doubt, but I were a fan of both city and madrid, then it's hard to choose.  Cool
I’m not a fan of both teams but if they will have to face to each other in the final then it will be a tough game and will be difficult to predict a winner. With the latest signing Madrid have done they will be more difficult to beat and even Manchester City may find it difficult to beat them. With Mbappe Madrid are still the favorites to win the title.

They have a great team with a great coach. They have no equal  Kiss
It might be right if you said madrid has no equal in UCL. I'm sorry, the city's still below madrid's level when it comes to the UCL.
Yes i agree, Manchester City are still below and winning them just once doesn’t make the equals in the champions league. I also think they have no equal in the Champions League.

May Manchester United fans forgive me. Cry
Don't worry, united fans aren't here.
Grin I don’t see what relates Manchester United to this discussion, are you guys trying to make fun of them. Hahaha

Just by looking out the clubs we have already gotten an insight of how next season champions League will look like and the clubs that has a very higher chance of winning  and also in the case of Liverpool I would say that they should just focus on the premier League for now because with what they did on this finished season I don't think they will survive on the champions League and also they are still going to go through a little declining in performance as there coach Klopp will no longer be with them next season, so getting use to the new coach will certainly take some time and also Arsenal on the other hand should also focus on the premier League more because that's were they have the higher chance on, however in terms of real Madrid they have already equipped themselves and they are ready for the champions League.

As for me, I view the next season's Champions League as a tough one. For now, I can't fully say which team will not do well in the Champions League because the season has not yet started. Even if we should predict it, it will be best that the competition starts first.

Let’s know that there are some teams that will did well this season but will not perform well next season, and there will be teams that may experience poor performance this season but do well next season because of some factors. So, predicting that Liverpool will not perform well in next season's Champions League may be wrong. This season’s performance can’t fully judge their next season.

As for Arsenal, they can focus on all competitions and may likely do well. If Arsenal can sign some quality players to strengthen their squad, I believe Arsenal may do well in all competitions, just like Liverpool.

Yes that's right. Jurgen Klopp was not fired but resigned. Maybe the right decision was to resign to look for a new challenge at another club, and it is true that the news circulating about Liverpool's new coach Arne Slot was also one of Jurgen Klopp's suggestions.

Arne Slot, although not very well known and beyond many people's predictions to become Liverpool coach, Arne Slot's performance as a coach was also very good, he was able to bring Feyenoord to become champions of the Dutch League and runners up in the Conference League. This is of course a consideration for Liverpool to make him a replacement for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

Of course, a new coach will bring new philosophies and tactics that the players will eventually have to adapt to. So don't expect too much from Arne Slot in the first season, especially to compete in the UCL league, but just look at the development. Everything is in process, Jurgn Klopp was also in process when he first came to Liverpool. We just hope that the progress and process is good at Liverpool, at least they can stay in the top four next season, that's good.
