UCL and UEL are on different levels. Atalanta were impressive in the Europa League and even managed to beat Liverpool who often play in the Champions League. But now Atalanta are really playing in the UCL. I am not sure Atalanta will be able to do the same as they did last season. All the top European clubs are in this competition. They will always be motivated to win the Champions League.
You're right. UCL is higher level, UCL has more stronger teams. Winning UEL doesn't increase the chance for the success on UCL.
Well, it was quite surprising that Atalanta could beat Liverpool in UEL. But now in UCL, I'm not sure that Atalanta will have a chance to beat Liverpool anymore. We can see that the performance of Liverpool looks more stable and convincingly. It is quite different with Atalanta which looks very inconsistently in domestic league. They got 2 losses in 3 early matches in Serie A. This can be a sign that Atalanta is actually weaker than the previous season.

It can even be said that the current Liverpool squad is reliable enough to beat Milan and it is certain that Milan will not be able to do much later. We know that in the domestic league, Milan is so down and it is very difficult to get positive results and on the other hand Liverpool can always show something different.
If we consider their current performance in domestic competition, Liverpool looks to have a better chance to win. AC Milan performed badly in Serie A, maybe caused by a new coach and many new players as well. But when it is in UCL, sometimes a team can perform differently. However, I still favor Liverpool to win the match although it will be in AC Milan home. I assume the current game play of Liverpool looks move convincing to win any match, including in UCL match.

When Mbappe joined Real Madrid at the beginning of the season, everyone was so sure that they'd be off to a flying start. I know they did win the super cup but their recent performances have been nothing to write home about especially with the quality of squad they constantly field when they go up against any team.

The UCL is yet to start but I'm pretty sure Real Madrid will go very far this season unless they improve and the team can understood itself because there was a similar situation like this when PSH had Mbappe, Messi abd Neymar on their team. Everyone thought they'd win it that year for sure but it's not always as it seems and Real Madrid is just the signs already. My thesis is wrong only if the Don finds a way to get his team back to strong, consistent winning days.

I also don't think Atalanta can beat Liverpool in Champions League this season if they meet again here and I have checked all the matches here but I didn't find any matches for both of these teams or did I miss it maybe because this season the format is different. But what you said is also quite logical that it is still not certain for Atalanta to repeat the victory if the team is faced with an opponent like Liverpool again in the current condition. Because Liverpool also have not been worse with their new coach this season and it has been proven in the early matches this season in the domestic league.
If it turns out Atlanta win Liverpool I may not be very surprised but then I will believe  it's probably a lucky day for Atlanta, in champions league it's usually a very different spirit altogether because they know how prestigious the trophy is, Liverpool is a much very and experienced team in the champions league than Atlanta and this has been the reason Liverpool has been seen as the favourite. Atlanta have a sound confidence currently dues to the fact that they win the Europa and even this season they are starting on a good start but then champions league is really different.

As Liverpool team performed as well as they did last season, they are trying hard to do better in this new season. Because there is a new coach and every player is performing hard enough from his place. Although this new season is being played at home so all the teams are strong in their own ground, here Liverpool team is proving that they will be among the best teams this season.
As from the beginning of this new season they will keep every audience calm with their best and careful performance.
The season will be more much better for Liverpool because nothing good pass make a team get a better coach and as for the Liverpool now their have new coach, I think their performances will be differences from the last seasons, because this coach will not want what will make people challenging the teams in this period so this is right time to keep his team so standard: so that the Liverpool will be among of the best teams this season in the champions league, honestly every team are always strong in their own home I think Liverpool can even make uses of that advantage to perform well to avoid disappointment.

This is not the first time that Atalanta is will be playing in the Champions league. They have been in the competition in previous times and they fully understand what it takes play in the Champions league. In my opinion any team that manage to win the europa league can cope with the demands of the Champions league. Atalanta did very well in the europa league last season, they even performed far better than some clubs that participated in the Champions league. The only difference is that here they will be playing with more bigger clubs that boast of more squad dept and experienced managers. But I believe that Atalanta can survive the group stages and even make it as far as the knock out stages. Atlanta is not the least club in the Champions league, I know it will be difficult for them to win the Champions league, but they are also a strong side that can win clubs with same ranking as them. Sometimes they can even win bigger clubs too. They did it against Liverpool last season, under Jurgen Klopp.

I can’t recall of recent when Atalanta played in the champions league, they could see a different game this time around in my opinion. They have been playing a great game since from the days of their performance in the Europa League that game them the championship there last season. Having an automatic promotion to the champions league was something worthy for them because they earned it with their exceptional performance in the Europa league.

They may be facing bigger clubs in the champions league and the rhyme of the league will be different this time around if they don’t put that same energy they did the last time that gave them a lot of chances to go far in the Europa league last season. Champions league requires more and if they don’t give as much as expected, they’ll definitely not go far in the champions league and will be eliminated early.

From one of the sources I found, it said that Paulo Fonseca was threatened with being fired if he still got bad results. But yeah, I also don't know if it's just an issue or maybe it's true, because considering Milan who started this season with bad results and with that also triggered the threat of Paulo Fonseca being fired if he couldn't make Milan recover quickly. But if it's about the match in the Champions League against Liverpool then I personally will not doubt Liverpool's quality.

Thus, of course I am very sure and will continue to bet on Liverpool to win and maybe I will choose a handicap option such as Liverpool -1.5 or maybe higher. Because afterall, at the beginning of this season Arne Slot really managed to make Liverpool continue to have very goodperformance. Also,  the presence of Chiesa in the Liverpool squad is like an additional belief for me that Liverpool will win against the Serie A team.
Rumors of Paulo Fonseca dismissal seem unlikely to happen in the near future. Milan management has entrusted everything to the coach and that means Milan is still giving Paulo Fonseca a chance for at least 1 season. And if this season still has poor performance, maybe at the end of the season Paulo Fonseca could be fired. But I'm sure this is just a bad start for Milan and I also believe Milan will soon rise. And regarding the problem of playing against Liverpool, I will still support Liverpool who are currently much more qualified in terms of the depth of their squad. Still, Milan cannot be underestimated.

But still, for Milan it will be a home game, it seems to me that bookmakers estimate Liverpool's chances quite fairly - 1.88. Liverpool is the favorite, but considering the away game and the fact that this is not a playoff game when everyone plays at their best, I would not bet on Liverpool. Liverpool are doing great in the Premier League and it can be assumed that they will be maximally focused on the Premier League, and the group stage of the Champions League will be assessed on a residual basis.

Liverpool's odds 1.93 now. Even though this is not a play-off, and it's an away game for them. But they should have won it to ensure they will be at the top 8 to get into the R16. I still consider this a very important match for them, and wish me luck to bet on Liverpool.

I doubt Liverpool would de-prioritize the UCL. They want to finish in the top 8, not 9th - 24th. Then, they could advance to the round of 16 without playing a 2-legged tie.

The fact that the odds are moving in favor of Milan is a bad sign (if you are going to bet on Liverpool), usually such a movement (even a small one) means that the bookmakers have "changed" their mind. I don't think Liverpool will aim for a 100% result in the Champions League group stage, as the Premier League remains their priority. It seems to me that even a coefficient of 2.0 here does not compensate for the risk.

Liverpool are still sharp and strong despite the fact that their focus might be on the premier league, I think they would still give their best towards the winning of the champions league which they are very capable of and I know with the way they started their season they can do something to surprise most of the big teams in champions league like real Madrid who have been struggling of lately.

No not necessarily. I don't know if this applies to all bookmakers, but I have once talked to somebody who is quite deeply involved with the industry and he told me that bookmakers balance out the odds depending on the amount of money being bet on a certain outcome. If Liverpool is at 1.90 and say Milan at 3.90 and a lot of people place money on Liverpool, then the odds go down with more and more money being placed on that outcome. It makes a lot of sense to me as that is one mechanism that bookmakers can algorithmically create an edge for themselves, hedging their outcomes against each other by adjusting the odds at least slightly so to say. I think minor movements in the odds are more a sign of these rebalancing processes.

If there are fundamental changes in the odds, then I think it is more likely that something happened which the bookmakers then have priced into the odds. I currently see Liverpool at 1.88 and Milan at 3.85 and honestly speaking, although Liverpool had a decent start into the new season, this does by no means mean that they will easily destroy Milan away from home. The game still has to be played first, it is a new format, it is difficult to tell how everyone will adjust to it. In group stages it was not uncommon that underdogs caused the big teams some trouble because the big teams knew that they can just win their last four games and qualify (to put it simple). I am excited to see how intense these Champions "league" games will be.

Atalanta performance was also not very impressive in Serie A last season, but in the Europa League they were able to show their best side by beating the two strongest candidates to be champions (Liverpool and Leverkusen) before finally confirming themselves as champions. Atalanta may be able to spring a surprise in the UCL, but Arsenal will not be easy to beat in their current form.

All teams always try to win in every match, but differences in quality and other unexpected things can change the outcome of the match. The new format is a bit tiring because the number of matches will increase, the coach must be able to keep his players to always maintain their best performance so they can qualify for the next round.
I don't mean to underestimate Atalanta, but when compared to other clubs in the Champions League, there are several clubs above them in terms of strength, including Arsenal in my opinion which is slightly better than Atalanta. However, they are still a club to be reckoned with and anyone who faces them must be careful.
Last season in the Europa League was a real example when they managed to beat the strongest candidate to become champions. Almost everyone was not on their side, but in the match they were actually able to become winners, including beating a club that was unbeaten in all competitions last season.
On the other hand, the difference is that because the Champions League is different from the Europa League, here they will get more pressure, so they must be ready for that by improving their mentality.
This is not the first time that Atalanta is will be playing in the Champions league. They have been in the competition in previous times and they fully understand what it takes play in the Champions league. In my opinion any team that manage to win the europa league can cope with the demands of the Champions league. Atalanta's not a typical Serie A powerhouse. They lack the vast pockets and rich histories. That doesnt mean they're not powerful. They've been steadily building something special in Bergamo, and their performances in recent European competitions speak for themselves.

Last season's Europa League: they demolished Liverpool, destroyed Leverkusen. People, that wasnt luck. In their lively and effective approach, Atalanta takes the game to anyone.

Now, the Champions League is different. Competition is stiff in the big leagues. I wouldnt rule out Atalanta. The manager Gasperini can outwit the greatest, and they have his tactical expertise. This team is hungry for success. They want to leave a mark, not just be there.

If you look at the situation of the team now and see each other our logic is the same in talking about Atalanta, Atalanta had a bad match at the beginning of the season in Serie A with 2 defeats, the ability is not like last season which has a much better ability to get the UEL, while Liverpool is the opposite and yes we have doubts about Atalanta, even to pass the UCL very well because here the pressure is very different.

So Liverpool are doing quite well and I think Liverpool will be much better this season, Atalanta cannot be compared to Liverpool when it comes to UCL.

Milan looked like world-beaters in the preseason, smashing Real Madrid and Man City. But preseason's a mirage, and Serie A is the harsh desert. They've crashed back down to earth. Not just failing to improve, but actually playing worse than last season. No wins in three games? That's a crisis

Now they're facing Liverpool, who are firing on all cylinders. Three wins, sky-high confidence. It's a nightmare matchup for Milan right now. They're shaky, they're vulnerable, and Liverpool smells blood

Milan needs to find a way to dig deep, fast. They've got the talent, but the mentality is missing. If they can't flip the switch, Liverpool will steamroll them

Liverpool have good record on AC Milan in the past and currently, they’re still in a good position to win them even when they meet head to head. The champions league is a very competitive competition and a mediocre team does not always survive in the long run except those that have that resilience and will to fight back at all cost. AC Milan won’t be a problem to Liverpool even though they’re not a mediocre team, they can’t stand a chance against Arne Slot’s Liverpool.
It can even be said that the current Liverpool squad is reliable enough to beat Milan and it is certain that Milan will not be able to do much later. We know that in the domestic league, Milan is so down and it is very difficult to get positive results and on the other hand Liverpool can always show something different.

This will also be a strategic battle between Arne Slot and Forensca and I think it is clear that anyone will definitely favor Liverpool to win. The combination of each player from various Liverpool positions is so complex that with Milan's defense which is currently so weak, they will also easily break into their goal. I can't wait for this considering the history of the two big teams in the champions league will always show tense drama.

Atalanta qualified for the Champions League after they won the Europa League trophy last season, Atlanta journey in the Europa League last season did surprise us by beating two favourites teams such as Liverpool and Leverkusen, but still last season and this season we will see a lot of differences and also changes that has occurred from the squad, performance and consistency of all the teams which play in the Champions League, so I think the chances of Atlanta beating Liverpool if they meet again are of course very small, besides that Atalanta not an experienced team in the Champions League so far,  so it is difficult for we to say if they can be make  surprise us again like they did in the European League last season.

Atalanta in my opinion is quite lucky so far in the Champions League draw because they avoided the big teams in the league phase, because of the 8 matches they played, only Arsenal make the potential team to trouble them later, while Liverpool is actually a very difficult after they are meet with teams such as Leipzig, Madrid, Milan and also Leverkusen,  so I think Atalanta chances of qualifying are obviously greater if we compare than Liverpool currently have.

But I think it's better to wait for the results of AC Milan's match against Venezia, if he wins then the odds we get can be much higher, at least can touch 2x although it's quite difficult to imagine if against Liverpool with a good match at the beginning of the season in the domestic league and the matches that AC Milan has gone through in the domestic league, people will think that surely Liverpool can beat AC Milan easily, as well as the bookie.

But if confidence starts to grow again when winning against Venezia I think as you said there will be a readjustment, and I expect much higher than 1.83.
There's no need to wait the results against Venezia because Milan was lose against Torino in home, while Liverpool won two times away, that's why the bookie list Liverpool a favorite in this match. Probably it will end in draw or Liverpool to win, it's high unlikely Milan will pull the upsets.

Considering there are no important players in Liverpool injured, I'm confident Liverpool will win the match.
Liverpool is highly favored in this match because AC Milan has a bad history, but if you want to bet waiting for the Ac Milan vs Venezia match, because if Ac Milan gets a win the pdds on AC Milan will decrease (maybe) and it is possible to increase the odds on Liverpool, and that is the right time to bet.

This is my own mind looking for a higher probability to bet on Liverpool because I also really believe Liverpool can get a win but am looking for odds that are bigger than that.

The two competitions that are being discussed here are all European continental club competitions but there's a reason why one  is regarded as the "Champions" League while the other is called the Europa League. The European Cup which is now known as the UEFA Champions League competition is not just the biggest club competition in Europe but the in the whole wide world and it's contested by the strongest European clubs that ever existed so as expected, it's miles away stronger than the Europa League.
Atalanta did exceptionally well in the Europa League last summer where they went on to win the competition after beating the competition's favorite Bayer Leverkusen in the final which automatically gave them a place in the UEFA Champions League this season. Atalanta if you ask me still have all it takes to have an incredible season in the UEFA Champions League competition this season but they'll need a miracle to win the competition since there are other stronger teams in the competition.

Atalanta was able to win Europa league does not mean that they are strong in UCL. Inter is more stronger and experienced than Atalanta and for that reason I don't think Atalanta will be able to pass the group stage because I don't see them having that strength.
There are big favorite clubs in UCL that will always prove themselves as big clubs by winning the underdogs and will go far in the league.

And Atalanta in the UCL cannot be underestimated. because Atalanta also has a lot of experience at UCL. It's just that the competition this season is much more difficult because the number of teams in the UCL has also increased. And a changing system can also be another challenge.
The competition here will be very tight. I doubt Atalanta will make it out of the group stage. The new format in UCL will make the team that collects the most points will advance to the next round. And since all the teams are in the same standings I think Atalanta will still have a hard time getting a place in the top eight. But I see them still having a chance to make the playoffs.
