I don't mean to underestimate Atalanta, but when compared to other clubs in the Champions League, there are several clubs above them in terms of strength, including Arsenal in my opinion which is slightly better than Atalanta. However, they are still a club to be reckoned with and anyone who faces them must be careful.
Last season in the Europa League was a real example when they managed to beat the strongest candidate to become champions. Almost everyone was not on their side, but in the match they were actually able to become winners, including beating a club that was unbeaten in all competitions last season.
On the other hand, the difference is that because the Champions League is different from the Europa League, here they will get more pressure, so they must be ready for that by improving their mentality.
This is not the first time that Atalanta is will be playing in the Champions league. They have been in the competition in previous times and they fully understand what it takes play in the Champions league. In my opinion any team that manage to win the europa league can cope with the demands of the Champions league. Atalanta did very well in the europa league last season, they even performed far better than some clubs that participated in the Champions league. The only difference is that here they will be playing with more bigger clubs that boast of more squad dept and experienced managers. But I believe that Atalanta can survive the group stages and even make it as far as the knock out stages. Atlanta is not the least club in the Champions league, I know it will be difficult for them to win the Champions league, but they are also a strong side that can win clubs with same ranking as them. Sometimes they can even win bigger clubs too. They did it against Liverpool last season, under Jurgen Klopp.

True! Atalanta is already a team with experience in UCL and they even had great runs in the last decade and like you said above , this team mentality fully understands what it takes to actually play an UCL game and what it takes to win an UCL game.

I also think that Gian Piero Gasperini really changed the ADN of this team and since his arrival , Atalanta improved every year to become a top football team in both Europe but also in Serie A where they seems to be top 4 almost every year now.

In my opinion, Atlanta performance in the European League cannot be underestimated considering their achievements last season when they managed to win the European League for the first time in the club's history, but to be honest, I don't see that Atlanta will be the team that surprises us this season in the Champions League, not that I mean underestimate them but so far Atlanta's biggest achievement in the Champions League was only reaching the quarter-finals in 2019/2020 and that year was the first year that Atlanta played in the Champions League, so I think to say they are very experienced in the Champions League is of course wrong because of their participation Only 3 times in the Champions League in history.

Atalanta was a bottom team in the previous Serie A, but they were consistently able to be in the top 4 positions, so we should praise them as a team that in the last few seasons has been very consistent in being in the European competition zone so far, but we also You shouldn't expect too much from them in the Champions League because the atmosphere of the Champions League and Serie A is very different.

What I see from Italian teams including Atalanta, they can always make a surprise in big competitions. And I'm sure those who pay attention every season to how the Italian teams play in the UCL or in the European League will definitely understand this. Atalanta last season also made a big surprise in the European League and beat Liverpool with a big score. And in our European league final, we were also impressed with their performance, who managed to beat Leverkusen, who were even unbeatable in the Bundesliga. And I'm sure that this season, in the UCL or in the Europa League, we will see another surprise from the Italian team. And Atalanta in the UCL cannot be underestimated. because Atalanta also has a lot of experience at UCL. It's just that the competition this season is much more difficult because the number of teams in the UCL has also increased. And a changing system can also be another challenge.

Atalanta performance was also not very impressive in Serie A last season, but in the Europa League they were able to show their best side by beating the two strongest candidates to be champions (Liverpool and Leverkusen) before finally confirming themselves as champions. Atalanta may be able to spring a surprise in the UCL, but Arsenal will not be easy to beat in their current form.

All teams always try to win in every match, but differences in quality and other unexpected things can change the outcome of the match. The new format is a bit tiring because the number of matches will increase, the coach must be able to keep his players to always maintain their best performance so they can qualify for the next round.

On paper, Atalanta is the underdog facing Arsenal or another team. But football isn't played on paper. The Europa League victory of Atalanta was not luck. They outplayed Leverkusen, were strategically smart, resilient, and more than just good
It's true if we consider the famous case of Sevilla that won many Europa League titles but they never shown well in Champions League. The same thing can be seen with Atalanta and Leverkusen as quality and competitiveness levels between Europa League and Champions League are very big and it's not easy for an underdog can go far in Champions League. Sevilla is not an underdog but they are great example that succeed in Europa League does not mean you can repeat it at a higher level in Champions League.

Quote
Atalanta has experience; they have tactical nous; they have that drive to prove themselves on the largest arena. Undervaluate them at your own risk. This is about who has the greater heart and the better game plan, not about who has a bigger name. And Atalanta had both in spades
Atalanta some seasons ago had experience in Champions League too and they actually made impression in that season. However, some years can change many things positively or negatively and even they continue with improvement, succeed in Champions League is not easy and requires many things come at the same time.

But I think it's better to wait for the results of AC Milan's match against Venezia, if he wins then the odds we get can be much higher, at least can touch 2x although it's quite difficult to imagine if against Liverpool with a good match at the beginning of the season in the domestic league and the matches that AC Milan has gone through in the domestic league, people will think that surely Liverpool can beat AC Milan easily, as well as the bookie.

But if confidence starts to grow again when winning against Venezia I think as you said there will be a readjustment, and I expect much higher than 1.83.
There's no need to wait the results against Venezia because Milan was lose against Torino in home, while Liverpool won two times away, that's why the bookie list Liverpool a favorite in this match. Probably it will end in draw or Liverpool to win, it's high unlikely Milan will pull the upsets.

Considering there are no important players in Liverpoo injured, I'm confident Liverpool will win the match.

Champions League is definitely more difficult. Still, this Atalanta team has tasted European excellence. They are aware of the requirements for winning in huge stakes. Serie A form is a bit shaky. Real magic, though, occurs in the Champions League. It's where underdogs start to become legends

7 wins for Real Madrid, 3 wins for Liverpool and 1 other match ended in a draw. That is the record of meetings between Real Madrid vs Liverpool. Real Madrid has always been superior when facing Liverpool in the last few seasons, and even the last victory achieved by Liverpool was in 2008/2009, meaning they have not been able to beat Real Madrid for more than a decade.
These head-to-head results show that Liverpool are under Real Madrid in quality and failed in many recent matches against Los Blancos. They failed even in golden time with Klopp years ago and now with a new coach, Slot, they will struggle more when playing against Real Madrid. Facing with a most successful club in Champions League and lately got a super star player like Mbappe, will not be easy for Liverpool in this season.

Quote
Of course this is an additional job for Liverpool because they have to break the bad record they always receive when facing Real Madrid. It is certainly a challenge for Arne Slot as Liverpool's new coach this season.
Luckily Liverpool will face with not only Real Madrid but also other clubs and they have opportunity to go to a next phase of Champions League 2024 - 2025 season even if they fail against Real Madrid in their direct match. With quality of Liverpool and their early performances this season, I see they're able to take top positions in their group.

That's a fair take fr. I'm not gonna lie, Madrid has been Liverpool's greatest nemesis in the last decade. Iirc, we didn't get a single win off of Real Madrid during the entire Klopp era. Hopefully this time is different but I have very little expectations — maybe Liverpool gets off with a win at Anfield but lose or draw at Real Madrid's home. Leverkusen could pose a threat, even Leipzig (let's not forget that Leipzig ended Leverkusen's unbeaten run in the Bundesliga).

These small teams too don't need to bw underestimated.

As expected, after a pretty bad start of the season, the odds makers don't have faith in Milan being able to defeat Liverpool even considering home advantage.
But who knows, maybe it's a good betting opportunity. For a double-chance bet (1X) you can now get x1.83.
It's worth to remind that AC Milan has a new manager, Paulo Fonseca, and maybe the poor start is just due to the time it take for the team to adjust to new style etc.
Milan is playing a potentially easy game against Venezia on Saturday. If they win it easily, their confidence might grow and the odds will probably get adjusted, so maybe it's worth to take the risk and place a bet before the weekend.
This is a very interesting match because it is also about the future of Fonseca's coaching career at Milan. How could it not be, so far AC Milan has not shown its best performance in the domestic league, they have not even won a single match. So it is very natural that Liverpool is favored in this match.

AC Milan has hopes to regain their confidence before meeting Liverpool because after the international break they will face Venezia first. This match will be a match that AC Milan must win because if they fail to win, they will most likely suffer a big defeat when they face Liverpool later.

Indeed, Fonseca's test is very tough, after facing Liverpool they will also face Inter Milan in the domestic league. So if you look at AC Milan's schedule in the next three matches, it will determine Fonseca's fate at Milan. If Fonseca fails to bring his team to positive results, Fonseca will most likely be fired. Btw in this match I will bet on Liverpool's victory because Liverpool's performance so far has been very impressive under coach Arne Slot.

I'm a Liverpool fan and if I'm being honest, that stats about not conceding any goals so far is just good for the records. The real test is going to be how long this Liverpool team can go before they lose it. My guess? Pretty soon.  Liverpool have won Milan a couple of times in the past so I'm sure that fixture will bring a lot of memories. I'm not saying this Liverpool team slot is building is not it but just stating some fact that Milan, despite starting poorly this season, shouldn't be underestimated.
About AC Milan vs Liverpool this is their first met after 2021 in Champion league and if we see based on head to head statistics in the last few years both teams has been met several times and i can see Liverpool has good records from Milan moreover we all know although both teams has new manager but Liverpool performance is much better compared to Milan because Liverpool under Arne Slot still managed their unbeated records since pre season tour and if we see from their recent performance i think Liverpool should be able to overcomes Milan

Just like i said before Liverpool strongest opponent for League phase is only Real Madrid and i know they also will facing Leverkusen but i don't think Leverkusen still very strong like last season even they just suffered a defeat in the Bundesliga so i am confident Liverpool also can beat Leverkusen and besides these teams Liverpool only will facing Leipzig, Bologna, Lille, PSV and Girona which the status of these teams is only mediocre teams

Nobody underestimated Atalanta in the Champions League when they were the best team in Europe last season, especially as winners of the Europa League title. Atalanta is one of the best representing Serie A in the Champions League this season, but I agree that there are still stronger teams than Atalanta in the Champions League so it is very likely that Atalanta is not on the favorites list.

So far Atalanta has not started the season well, especially in Serie A. Atalanta was only able to win one of the first three matches and only got 3 points. Losing two consecutive matches has left Atalanta stuck in 12th place in the Serie A standings, so I don't think Atalanta will impress in the Champions League if they don't improve.

I think any team that tries to underestimate Atalanta will be disappointed because they are full of surprises, Atalanta is the current champions of Europa League last season after defeating the team that was seen as the favorite to win the competition and this season Atalanta is among the SeriaA teams playing in the champions league. They may not have started very well in their domestic league but you can not compare their performance in the champions League competition and that of their league because they wouldn't want to disappoint their fans by not performing well in the group stages.

Atalanta may not be seen as the favourite in the champions league competition but it takes a good performance for the chances of the team to win the league to be increased so if Atalanta shows good performance in the league it won't take time for their chances of winning the champions League be increased.

We have seen Milan perform well in friendly matches before the start of the season. We thought AC Milan would come back stronger this season. But we have yet to see Milan play well in their three matches in Serie A. The Milan team could not win even one of the three matches. Milan have drawn two and lost one.

Milan's overall condition seems weaker than last season. On the other hand, the Liverpool team is in a very good position. Liverpool's players are now very confident after winning three matches in the Premier League. Therefore, the probability of Liverpool winning against Milan is the highest. I would say Liverpool will make no mistake in this match.

Milan are far from their legendary days. After finishing second last season and being the biggest contenders for the title, Milan have been mediocre this season. They are playing a football that has nothing to do with last year. In my opinion, they don't lack in terms of squad, but they have an inefficiency caused by the management and the coach. The team doesn't have an ignition player.

Fonseca is a really bad choice for Milan. This club will not improve until Fonseca leaves Milan. Liverpool, on the other hand, started this season well and now they have the wind at their back. Arne Slot is carrying the team well after taking over from Klopp and Liverpool are playing well, although they are lacking in a few areas. Liverpool are definitely the favorites.

There are big favorite clubs in UCL that will always prove themselves as big clubs by winning the underdogs and will go far in the league.

you are right Atalanta is a strong team on the Europa League platform. However, this team is not strong in the Champions League. If you want to do well on the Champions League platform, you need an experienced squad and an experienced coach. Atalanta's performance this season is not as good as expected. Atalanta have lost two out of three matches in Serie A. And in this situation they are not easy to do well in the Champions League.

Moreover, Atalanta will play against Arsenal in the first match of the Champions League. Atalanta team is weaker than Arsenal. Arsenal have a strong squad and are in good form this season. So the Atalanta team will probably face defeat in the first match as well. However, Atalanta have a chance to win against Shakhtar in the second match. But Shaktar will play this match at home. So the match will be very competitive.

Well I remember the last time they actually came to the champions league they really performed poorly resulting to their poor exit and I don't think they can make any positive effect for now because their game play hasn't improved that much and just like you said the teams in the champions league are no joke I mean these guys aren't actually playing and they are in it for the competition and I don't see Atlanta going that far.

Milan's main weakness is their defense. And I don't think they'll improve their defense any time soon. AC Milan have dropped points in all three of their matches due to poor defence. The team conceded 6 goals in 3 matches and managed to score 5 goals. Another important point is that Milan's opponents were not very strong in these three matches. Even so, Milan conceded 6 goals.

Milan's opponents in the Champions League, Liverpool, are very strong. And Liverpool have plenty of talented players in their midfield and forward lineup. The players are also in good form now. Liverpool will not find it difficult to break down Milan's weak defence. For these reasons I think Milan have no chance of winning against Liverpool. However, football is always unpredictable. Favorite teams are not always able to win. But I would say it is unlikely to happen in this match.
Considering transfer window is closed, they are not going to cover their defense at all, it's done and they are going to be forced to play with this one. It's clear that they are not going to do well in the UCL, it was known even before they started doing anything honesty, we knew that it wouldn't happen. Milan is not good even in Serie A, let alone be good at UCL, so they will probably either fail at group stages, or they will fail one step above when they face a real opponent, it's clear what they are going to do.

Liverpool on the other hand looks like a team that is doing insanely well with the new manager, it was a good decision to get Arne slot, he is one of those managers that actually does something for the team whenever he arrives to a new team. Look at their results so far, I am sure that if they keep this up, there is a chance that they could be a threat to win both premier league and UCL, doesn't mean they will, but they will compete for both of them.

I don't mean to underestimate Atalanta, but when compared to other clubs in the Champions League, there are several clubs above them in terms of strength, including Arsenal in my opinion which is slightly better than Atalanta. However, they are still a club to be reckoned with and anyone who faces them must be careful.
