Real Madrid for the 2023-2024 season is performing very well and of course in the coming season (2024-2025 season) it will of course be very difficult to predict who will be the winner of the Champions League for the 2024-2025 season. but of course I predict that Real Madrid will have great potential to win the title again in the coming season (2024-2025) because I see that Real Madrid's strength is very strong to date, but of course what makes me believe that Real Madrid has great potential to win is because Mbappe will strengthen Real Madrid and of course Real Madrid's strength will definitely be stronger because Mbappe is a strong player.

but of course I am sure that Manchester City, Leverkusen, Inter, PSG and other teams will definitely try their best to win the Champions League title and of course there are many strong team so the 2024-2025 season will definitely be exciting. However I am curious about the performance of Girona, which is the new team from Laliga that has entered the Champions League.

But I still think Ancelotti's troops will have the potential to remain a team that has great potential to win the title again in season 2024-2025.

Real Madrid played perhaps their worst football in years in the match against Dortmund. Especially in the first half they sat back and faced dangerous attacks from Dortmund. However, Real Madrid is such a great team that everyone believed that they would win the cup despite playing bad football.

My favorite for the Champions League next season will of course be Real Madrid. With Mbappe as the last missing player in their squad, Real Madrid will continue their hegemony in the Champions League for a while. Ancelotti has built a good team and will get better results from this team with transfers next season. My other favorite is Inter. The Italian team had a great season and I think will reach the final of the Champions League next year. Inter will be my favorite team if they make the right signings for next season.

How did you manage to leave out Liverpool from your list? Or you are just waiting to see Arne slot performance before including Liverpool? Liverpool is currently joint third in the top 5 teams with most UCL trophy and only missed the tournament last season after a poor 2022/2023 EPL season finish. Anyway, I do agree about the Madrid part because they'd want to win it again. This time, for Mbappe.

I don't know how my team will fare but I'd love to see them compete strong and possibly win it. I'm tipping Liverpool with a 25% chance here.
I speculate Liverpool is no longer a strong team in the next season, that's why I didn't include Liverpool into the list.

Klopp and many veteran midfielders left Liverpool, now Salah, Diaz, Gravenberch and Robertson could leave Liverpool too, if they're leaving Liverpool, I think Liverpool will become Chelsea or Manchester United. It's too much expectation Liverpool have a chance to compete in Champions League, I'd say if they can at least finish top four in Premier League, they're already great.

Here are the winning chance of each team to become a champion in the next season:

60% for Real Madrid
39% for Manchester City
1% for Arsenal, Inter, Milan, Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich, Leverkusen etc. Tongue

Real Madrid without Mbappe can still become a champion in this season, so it's no doubt majority of people will believe in Real Madrid.

I personally also prefer Real Madrid to become champions and indeed we have seen for ourselves in the final match of the 2023-2024 UCL season, Ancelotti's troops are really strong and can penetrate Dortmund's tight defense and the score of 2-0 for Real Madrid's victory certainly indicates that Real Madrid really strong. Yes, especially in the coming season, Mbappe will defend Real Madrid. Of course I'm sure Real Madrid's attack will be difficult to beat.

I probably expected a better performance from Dortmund. They had shown people a lot of hope. Maybe I expected a better performance because I never expected them to actually reach the Champions League final. And when they actually did happen to be in the finals of the Champions League, I thought maybe there was a chance that they would actually surprise us as they have done to reach the final of this competition. But of course, we are talking about Real Madrid being the opponent. To Real Madrid for being able to win the 15th Champions League title. They are definitely the best Champions League team right now. Maybe even ever.

By the way, Real Madrid is happy that they were able to win the Champions League trophy. But at the same time, they are sad as well because Toni Kroos is announcing his retirement. But at least we are talking about him. Nobody is talking about Reus enough.

all the teams that will appear in the 2024-2025 UCL season are of course all the best teams and Dortmund is a strong team and in the 2023-2024 season his performance is really impressive and he can advance to the final against Real Madrid, yes, even though he didn't win 1st place, Dortmund is still a team whose strength cannot be underestimated and in the 2 legs of the UCL semifinals in the 2023-2024 season, Dortmund was very strong and PSG couldn't win those 2 legs and of course in the 2024-2025 season, Edin Terzic will definitely try to make Dortmund look even better.

I personally was very moved to see his last performance with Real Madrid. Ancelotti will definitely miss Tony Kroos and Ancelotti will definitely miss him and his fans will also miss him. but of course we will see him at Euro 2024 defending Germany and at the Euro it will be his last match. Talking about Reus, I haven't heard accurate news, but according to the news I read, there are rumors that he will join the United States club, namely LA Galaxy, but what is clear is that his departure from Dortmund will definitely make Dortmund fans touched because he has defended Dortmund well for a long time. Of course, Edin Terzic must really make Dortmund's strategy so that it can be better even without Reus.

Since Kylian Mbappe joined Real Madrid, the Real Madrid team will perform more strongly, the attacking department has been strengthened considerably. Having lost Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema for a long time, the team was without a striker until now with Mbappe. But Real Madrid team has performed much better than this season's Borussia Dortmund team. And of course they have won the title so there is a possibility of better performance due to the addition of stickers.

Kylian Mbappe has officially joined Real Madrid and is ready to play matches starting next season. It is clear that the Real Madrid club will get stronger because it has a capable attack line, Real Madrid has lost its great strikers who are hungry for goals such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema and next season Real Madrid has found the best striker who will replace the role of the previous striker. I am very confident that Real Madrid will be even stronger next season and it will be difficult to stop Real Madrid in the big Champions League competition and Real Madrid will be the strongest candidate to win the title in the Champions League with Mbappe at the club .

Finally Mbappe realized his dream of joining the best club in the world and playing as one of the Real Madrid players for next season. Obviously we will see his performance with Real Madrid next season and I am curious what strategy Carlo Anceloti uses for Mbappe, Anceloti is a coach who has a smart strategy and can provide good motivation to his players. I think Mbappe will be very suitable at Real Madrid with all the potential he has. He is the best striker in Europe currently between Erling Halaand and Harry Kane. He is also one of them.

I'm not sure if kroos will be eager to make a U-turn with his retirement but he can do that someday. Valvede has received Kroos's number and it doesn't make sense when you request it back again to the club.  Kroos must be focusing his attention to his family. That's why things like that happened to Reus when you grew as looser and people hardly talked about you caused by this is football and you will be valued when you are a winner here. People will talk about the winner anytime.

Thus many football fans have abandoned this legend of Dortmund after he has been dedicating all of his life to play on dortmund. The final was lost by Dortmund to Madrid has become the reason and that was that. It is illogical if we are discussing something that isn't even trending at this moment considering the fact others are also talking about trendic topic at this moment too.

What justifies doing that? Look at how many people are discussing Kroos's retirement as he was a legend with all of his trophies on his life. I see no reason for kroos to do U turn.
Retire at his peak performance was his dream. This time his dream is coming true.

Im not doubting if he will stay as a veiwers of real madrid

before the match started at that time, there were still many people who said that Dortmund could beat Madrid but they didn't realize that every time Madrid was able to reach the final round, the guarantee of victory was on Madrid side and that was all a fact when Madrid rarely lost in the round. final.
and there are even lots of bettors who take big risks betting on Dortmund winning in the hope that everything will be a big surprise but all of that is very impossible or maybe unless the opponent Dortmund faces is not Madrid, maybe Dortmund hopes are still very big.

losing Kroos is one of the sadness felt by most Madrid fans, even though Kroos is not very well known out there but Kroos is one of the players who is recognized for his skills with intelligence which can always make a good contribution to striker players to score and score. even in the Ronaldo era, Kroos admitted that he had very precise skills when providing passes to all attacking players.
I can't imagine how Madrid will look next season without Kroos, who currently has no replacement and even Modric, as an old player, will not be able to replace him.

It was time for the new thread, thanks @babo.

Real Madrid is now leading with 15 wins in the Champions League with 5 wins in the last 10 years alone. It is scary and now that they finalized the most awaited and most spectacular transfer of the season, it becomes no easier to believe that Real Madrid will not win the title again. But as dominant as their role seems to be in the Champions League, breaking it down into an average for the last 10 years, it is still "only" one title in every two years.

But they have been outperforming realistic statistics in my opinion. This would suggest they have a 50% chance of winning that trophy, but that would go way too far. So many marginal decisions and results that could have changed everything.

But I have to admit that Mbappe is the royal transfer of the season. There isn't much room for a team like Manchester City to improve their team. They've got Haaland and his effectiveness took quite a dent in the most important Champions League games whereas I think Mbappe will reach his highest level now.

@babo maybe it would be interesting to have some polls throughout the season like "Who will become the Champions League top scorer in 24/25?" or "Will Mbappe become the next Ballon d'Or winner if they win the Champions League?".

I am bringing this up because I do in fact believe that the season 24/25 will be Mbappe's breakthrough in regards to individual awards like FIFA player of the year or the Ballon d'Or. All attention will be on him and I believe the Real Madrid team is able to make him several levels better than he is already.

Yes, we can only speculate and of course we won't know how the match will progress because it's possible that the team that we think won will lose because of course all teams will play their best to fight for the UCL title. but it seems like the majority of people on this forum predict that Real Madrid will win the Champions League again.

-snip-
After losing Ronaldo and Benzema, of course, Madrid lost a reliable central striker, although now they have Bellingham and Vinicius as the top scorers, but we know that they are not pure strikers so far, so in the absence of a pure striker, Ancelotti has to improvise with wingers and attacking midfielders to be able to score goals and of course what Ancelotti is doing at this time is quite successful In overcoming every opponent they have in the league and Champions League, Mbappe arrival to the squad has certainly filled the void left by Benzema and Ancelotti, so indeed next season we will see a Madrid squad that is quite dangerous, especially their attacking line.

This season Real Madrid managed to get their 15th Champions League trophy and it shows us that there is no better team than Madrid when they reach the Champions League final, next season Champions League will use a new format in their game system but I think that of course it will not be difficult for Madrid to be able to be a title contender again.
Actually, this season I really want to see Madrid beaten by Dortmund in the final because it will be a surprise for us, but in fact Madrid is still able to beat Dortmund in the final.
Ancelotti has proven to us that Real Madrid can win prestigious titles even without center forwards as productive as Ronaldo and Benzema. Joselu can certainly help support the attack power as an experienced center forward, but Ancelotti has a good strategic approach even without a center forward.
So, what's real madrid have here? Best wingers, Best AM, Best midfielder, Best defenders. Real madrid has it all except a good striker but mbappe has come as a new striker while at the same time he can also play as winger as well which is also becoming a backup for his teammates in the real madrid.
This is why real madrid can still win UCL without him because the club has best of the best compositions. No doubt that even without having mbappe real madrid can win UCL anytime if they want. It's considering how capable the players owner by real madrid at this moment.
Mbappe's arrival to the team is just making it become even more stronger than before. We know that how good mbappe.

Mbappe's arrival as a center forward certainly provides Ancelotti with better options in managing his playing strategy. Kylian Mbappe is a productive center forward who can be relied on, so of course a change in strategy can be expected next season. As a result, it may have an impact on Jude Bellingham's goal productivity, his role will be exactly the same as that of Toni Kroos or Modric next season.
True and ancellotti can also have various options like rotate him as winger too. So, there will be various combinations that can be used by ancellotti. Its opponent must be feeling so confuse when they are facing real madrid.
I consider the rotation of mbappe can also being used to implement various strategy. Glad to see real madrid take the right step like this. I really appreciate that.

Real Madrid’s weakest point this season was that they did not have a striker. However, they have now signed an agreement with French football player Kylian Mbappe. With this move, Real Madrid becomes the biggest contender for the Champions League trophy next season. We can once again refer to them as "los galacticos."
that's true. It was perfect until they had Ronaldo as well as Karim Benzema. But after losing them both, real Madrid doesn't have pure striker yet. But the recent announcement of Kylian Mbappe to exit PSG and joining Real Madrid, makes madrid fan happy and it seems Real Madrid is going be more stronger and better chance of winning the Champions League in next session. Dortmund was also a strong team but real Madrid defeated them with 2 goals and proved themselves again for the 15th time without Kylian Mbappé. So you can think what will happen with Kylian Mbappé. But Manchester City can't be neglected. Who knows, we may see changes in Manchester City too. But majority will go with Real Madrid as a next season winner

Real Madrid after hiring players like Mbappe is totally getting much stronger than the other teams.
Regardless of what happens in this season to the other teams, we are sure that the chance for Real Madrid is a much higher with the players they have as they are usually the most successful team in the Champions League.
But regardless of Real Madrid, I'm very much interested in seeing the performance of Leverkusen in this tournament, they had an epic performance in the last season they did not play against stronger teams while in the Champions League can give them this chance.

Yeah it is better to mention the new format as of 2024 season also.  Smiley

  • There is no more group stage, it is going to be rather a league just as in its name.  Grin
  • There are going to be 36 teams instead of 32.
  • Every team are going to play against 8 different teams, half of them home games and the rest is away.
  • Top 8 finishers are qualifying for last 16 directly. The teams placed from 9th to 24th are playing a two-legged playoffs to earn their way through last 16. The remaining teams in the league are eliminated.
  • There is no more dropping to the Europa League as of now.

Source: UEFA Official Website

The new format looks interesting but it is likely to be fun for now I think. But will this matter for Real Madrid after signing Mbappe? I don't think so.  Cheesy

Interesting?  Grin
If earlier out of 32 (which was already too many) teams, 16 were eliminated, now only 12 out of 36 are eliminated. If we project this onto the old format, it turns out that this is equivalent to the fact that out of 32 teams only 8 would be eliminated.
This is a fucking circus and a disgrace. The group stage was rotten even before, but now it will be a set of dull friendly games, the result of which will be the same set of teams in the playoffs.

Real Madrid having won the champions League a whooping 15 times are all set to win it the more. Even with a complete squad they added Mbappé to the team again making it more deadly. I am scared the Champions League will become farmers league. If there are no internal crisis between Vini Junior and Mbappé, it will be so difficult to win Real Madrid.

Well, as you said, it is only Manchester city that has that strength to compete with Real Madrid in the Champions League. Honestly, I do not think that next season is an underdog season.
I don't know but I feel with all this high expectations from this Real Madrid team after the free move of mbappe might certainly turn out differently although the chances are slim but the truth is that there is still a small chance of that happening and when that disappointment comes like maybe been knocked out from the champions league at the early stages just like the way Chelsea created that record of being the first team to be defending champions and still being knocked out in the group stages. How possible is this though for Real Madrid?

Real Madrid is strong from the past time, and they perform very well almost every season. Now Mbappe has been added, although in this match they will take the form of strong enough but the attraction as the first match will be much less. It will take a long time for a man to settle into a new situation. We must be patient, because when Mbappé was not at Real Madrid, of course they were performing well and winning against strong teams. So now at present I think Real Madrid has strengthened itself and is ready to perform with any team.

Real Madrid team has performed very well this season as you all have noticed and many people are betting on Real Madrid to win. So of course a new striker has been added to the team, and the attacking department has been strengthened by many. As you can see, Mbappe is still very young so he is quite useful in the attacking department. But it must be accepted that a new player will enter the team and attacks need enough time to use banana techniques correctly. In this case, problems may be faced in the early matches.

I would vote Real Madrid to win the title again next season and with Mbappe I would vote twice for Real Madrid.
Los Blancos in UEFA Champions League are like Sevilla in UEFA Champions League, you never understand what's going on and how they manage to win at the end of the games. For Real Madrid there is an extra option : how could they come back from behind!
One of the strongest reasons for Mbappe leaving PSG was wanting to win the UCL League, so indirectly Mbappe's main focus next season is winning the UCL for the first time. Moreover, Los Galacticos volume 3 was finally formed after Mbappe's arrival, Real Madrid's coach is still Carlo Ancelotti, Modric is also still in the team to educate his juniors, making it increasingly difficult for other teams to stem Real Madrid's current strength.

So seeing that Real Madrid's chances of winning the 16th UCL again next season are very big, especially considering the progress of other clubs with new coaches such as Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Italian teams, it will still be difficult to beat the Real squad. Madrid currently, only Manchester City seems to be a strong competitor, especially Pep Guardiola's last season with Manchester City. Yes that's right. Real Madrid when playing in the UEFA Champions League is very different, they often surprise by making epic comebacks, if they reach the final no one can beat them. But unfortunately, there is no Sevilla team in the Europa League next season.

It's quite interesting to say the same thing as I also believe that Real Madrid will be successful again in the Champions League this season. Mbappe presence in the Real Madrid squad next season will certainly make a big difference in their strength. With Mbapee joining Real Madrid there will certainly be more interesting competition in the coming season and for Manchester City they will again have a big challenge to prevent Real Madrid from winning the trophy for the 16th time.

So, are there any of you who think Real Madrid will succeed easily or Mbappe presence will worsen the situation in the dressing room. Yes, let's just wait for next season, whether teams from Laliga or Serie A, Bundesliga and Premier League will both compete with their best strength next season. Inter Milan, from the best Serie A team, will certainly polish their squad better so they can compete more strongly next season. Manchester City must also be taken into account because they have a big grudge against Real Madrid and can Pep repay them next season?

Here are the winning chance of each team to become a champion in the next season:

60% for Real Madrid
39% for Manchester City
1% for Arsenal, Inter, Milan, Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich, Leverkusen etc. Tongue

Real Madrid without Mbappe can still become a champion in this season, so it's no doubt majority of people will believe in Real Madrid.

How did you manage to leave out Liverpool from your list? Or you are just waiting to see Arne slot performance before including Liverpool? Liverpool is currently joint third in the top 5 teams with most UCL trophy and only missed the tournament last season after a poor 2022/2023 EPL season finish. Anyway, I do agree about the Madrid part because they'd want to win it again. This time, for Mbappe.

I don't know how my team will fare but I'd love to see them compete strong and possibly win it. I'm tipping Liverpool with a 25% chance here.
