He made two mistakes in the post you quoted, first saying Modric plays as a defender and second he also said Modric has not contributed enough to the club he plays for. I didn't think and likewise did I expect anyone to think that Atlanta will win Real Madrid in the Super cup finals. I mean, for Atlanta to give Bayern Leverkusen a surprising defeat in the Europa league finals doesn't automatically make them super team to beat Real Madrid who even recently re-enforced their squad.

Talking about squad depth, I don't think Real Madrid should bother themselves about anything again because a team cannot be 100% balanced. It is either your strength is attack or defence. In the case of Real Madrid, their strength is attack, so the defence is good.

So that's at least three players that needs replacement in the next three seasons at most, and you can't expect amazing results from a player that comes in on their first season, so they should maybe start thinking about replacement very soon, so those players could start taking some time already, like cup games and unimportant easy league games etc, would make it better. That's why I believe it is going to be very good in the end.

We have so many great players who will feed him easily. Bellingham, Rodrygo, Vini, and Valverde are on another level at passing. Also, Mbappé's skill is far above the average striker. No doubt if many Madridistas would have big expectations toward him. I think we're gonna see Mbappé lift lots of trophies with Real Madrid.
