I can't say that Barcelona will be the team to win the Champions League this season, but, to tell the truth, based on their performance so far this season, Barcelona is among the top three teams favored to win. If we consider the best teams likely to win the Champions League, Barcelona’s performance hasn’t been bad at all.

As for challenges, I don't think there’s anything Barcelona can’t handle recently in this season Champions League competition doesn’t seem as much competitive, as many of the big teams are not in serious form. So, I don't think there will be as much challenges for big team in serious form as in the last three seasons, when top teams were great form.

I can’t say much about which team is likely to win the Champions League this season currently because the tournament hasn't progressed far enough yet. If it were already at the quarter-final stage, it would make more sense to predict, as any team could still pick up good form by then.

Not this current real Madrid team that will win Liverpool. Yes Liverpool has been finding it difficult to defeat real Madrid, in their previous meetings, but it is not this crop of Madrid players that usually defeat Liverpool. Real Madrid were playing far better back then compare to what they are playing now. This season Liverpool defeated AC Milan in their home, and AC Milan defeated real Madrid heavily when they visited Madrid during the last champions League fixtures. So I don't think this present Madrid team has what it takes to defeat Liverpool. Madrid are battling lots of injuries right now, we don't have to rely on past performance of Madrid against Liverpool to predict the outcome of their upcoming match. Liverpool are currently inform more than real Madrid so I believe Liverpool has the upper hand to win that match.

Talking about the Champions League, I think it's too hasty to say who can be the champion. Because this is still in the league round where there are still 4 matches to be played by each team. Not to mention there are still 2 matches after that, namely the play-off round to compete for tickets to the 16th from the teams in positions 9 to 24, so there are still 6 matches in total in this round. Entering the last 16, the last 6, to the semifinals and the final, it takes a long time and there are still many other matches. Barcelona is now still in a relatively safe position, but they also cannot relax because they have to make sure they can get through the remaining matches with positive results.

Flick made a very surprising transformation which made the team to be more aggressive and they only have that aim of winning and scoring as many goals as possible, some will say is Xavi that made these things possible but I doubt because every manager has a way of transforming a team to be better than the way they were being handled by the past managers. To me I'll say Barcelona are some how getting back those past abilities back, like when Messi and the other guys were playing for the team and with time I believe that the El classico will be all about Barcelona.
Talking about the UCL, I some how find it hard to say the likes of Bayern Munich are in the top 5 teams to win the title because they too are not up to standard as of before even Real Madrid are also struggling, these familiar teams Man City, Bayern Munich, Madrid and some other club I can't remember,  these 3 clubs are struggling to meet up so I'd say Barcelona have higher chances of winning the title if they're the only ones trying to stop them, I'd give it to Barcelona.

I also think like that, maybe if we look at the La Liga League Barcelona has a fairly big opportunity to be the winner of the league, but in the Champions League it is not an easy thing, which is very tight competition and also many great teams with all the uniqueness And their strategy for fighting, maybe today Hansi Flick managed to make everything surprised and bring Barcelona from the slump to be better and unbeaten in the most recent matches, but surely there are weaknesses and shortcomings they will be seen at another time some of the teams that have the analysis And can make them lose and become a team like the others.

As a Madrid fan, I doubt Barcelona can win the UCL title this season.

I admit that Barcelona performance is better now after replacing the new coach and in the end Hansi Flick proved that he is very suitable to be Barcelona coach even though he was initially doubted. But no matter how strong Barcelona is now, I am sure it will not be easy to get through all these challenges because there is still Liverpool who is much more consistent and has better quality players.

Barcelona's performance under Hansi Flick is indeed extraordinary, the coach did not need much time in his first season, he immediately managed the team very well as he has shown now, and indeed there is no need to doubt that Barcelona is a strong candidate team to win the UCL title, they only need to maintain their level of consistency in this increasingly tight schedule.

The competition in the UCL is very tight and teams that do not have a strong mentality will of course be very difficult to compete, but if we look at barcelona at the moment, of course they are one of the favorite teams to be able to win the UCL this season, but it can happen if they can continue to maintain their current performance, mentality and consistency especially when facing the challenge of big teams in the UCL.

Hmm... before writing such bold arguments, did you at least look at the table? There are 2 points to the relegation zone, and 2 to 9th place. What do you think is the total probability that Real will lose and PSG, Sparta, Stuttgart, Shakhtar, Girona, PSV will win at the same time? Combine these outcomes into one multi-bet and estimate the odds  
Atalanta is a typical average team from Serie A, similar to Sociedad/Athletic. Next games with Salzburg and Brest. I think that Real will score 9,10 or 12 points in the remaining games. And this will be enough to be in the top 8 or close.

Not all substitutes can meet the coach's expectations and maybe this happened to Real Madrid so that their performance so far has been inconsistent. The absence of Eder Militao and Daniel Carvajal will leave a big void in that line and maybe even if there are replacements they are not as good as them. With the way Barcelona have been handling every games both in the Spanish league and in the champions league, just one loss against a Ligue 1 side which is Monaco ever since then Barcelona have been winning convincingly without any dropped point. At this point I don't think any team can make them lose that wonderful form even if they lost a game before the break and that was against Real Sociedad (in the la Liga) but I don't think that should be considered but facing some of the tough teams in the champions league they (Barcelona) haven't showed any form of relenting their pace to win the title, can we say they are one of the best to win the champions league?

It's common for soccer enthusiasts especially Real Madrid fans to believe that real Madrid will surely make a good turn around but they truth is we can't tell what will the next minute or tomorrow but it is likely possible that they will retrace their step soon or later after all the got good players in the team despite having some injury challenges, if they upgrade, their performance, it wouldn't be a big suprise to me because ordinarily with their sophisticated players, they were not suppose to be performing below expectation in the first place, i think i agree with you on the avilable players doing whats expected of them to do, personally i have checked Real Madrid, they don't go after average players, so it's assumed that every player thats part real Madrid team is already a star and are expected to play as one, thats why I suggest that there should be a kind of shared responsibilities among the players instead of multitasking few players to shoulder everything , there should be a team work if the really want to get it right.

Though I somuch trust the coaching pattern of Carlo anceloti, I have said this severally and I believe something is been done underground to remedy the inconsistent performance of his team, but anything that has to be done should be very quick because the fans and perhaps the managemant are begining to get fade up with their continuous flopping.

I understand that everybody feels sad for them but still I don't think that will make them not finishing on a better position on the league they are, however if you think otherwise let's check there position on each of the leagues, so let me start from the Spanish La Liga, they have 27 points making them the second best club on the league then on the champions League they have only 6 point which put them on the 18 position, so actually from this record is only on the champions League they are having a bad results but I don't blame them too much because they are not the only strong player because Bayern Munich is also doing the same thing, so let's not see Real Madrid as if they are the worst club that cannot finish well on the champions League.

I have this much faith in the Real Madrid team that they can make a good comeback despite facing many difficult equations. Real Madrid have done well in the Champions League despite not producing a very strong team in previous seasons. There is more to that game: Liverpool doesn't have to win, they are not as much under pressure as Real Madrid is. Liverpool would be doing just fine with a draw and that means they don't have to take too many risks during the game. They can put a lot of focus on solid defense and then take advantage of any chance they may have. Real Madrid on the other hand has to win that game or definitely not lose it. Otherwise play-offs are almost guaranteed. They play against Atalanta away from home, which is a tough game for sure and they have another game away from home against Brest, but still.
