I was so right about Liverpool about a bad performance with Napoli and they had no answer to Napoli last night and I'm afraid they will have small chances to get out of groups. Maybe for some fans of Liverpool this will sound harsh but it's just the truth about how current team of Liverpool are playing on the pitch. Also , what is Klopp doing ? He lost a bit of his passion it seems.
Even though Liverpool were massacred by Napoli with a landslide score of 4-1, but I really believe Liverpool will be able to rise and make it through to the group phase, because there are still five games left, indeed currently many Liverpool star players are not at their previous level and have surely Liverpool fans feel disappointed with their performance which is still windy, but I still dare to place a bet for Liverpool to qualify for the Champions League group stage, wake up the reds whatever happens I always support you and always ready to place bets for your victory.
Liverpool was disappointed by their humiliation last night, they loss 4-1 and Jürgen Klopp was not happy with the results. It's a good result for as Naples with Luciano Spalleti using the right players for the game. Although, the two sides have quality players but yesterday game was much interesting to watch. Victor Osimhen have early chances in the game, one of his attempt hit the woodwork while the other was penalty which he missed the ball against Liverpool goalkeeper, Allison Becker. Liverpool was put under pressure during the first half, to my clear understanding, they Klopp didn't use the required players for the game, with James Milner been issued an early yellow card and also defaulter of penalty. Napoli have clear 3 points with Ajax. However, Liverpool next fixtures is Ajax, I hope they bounced back to winning ways.

Yes Liverpool still have a chance to qualify because Liverpool still have some home games here they can take advantage
But from some bad results I wouldn't expect Liverpool to do as well as last season I guess they will be eliminated before reaching the top 8
Yesterday's defeat was proof that they had a weakness in defense.

I think that Klopp is one of the best coaches in the world of football because he is able to really improve the performance of every team that he is coaching. Those teams are then performing stronger then the squads actually are. In my opinion he is able to do this because he is just such a nice dude that gets along so well with everyone and he is a great communicator. This means that his players are really giving 100% for him in every match. This was the case at Borussia Dortmund where a team of no-names was able to win the Bundesliga title two times in a row and reach the final of the Champions League.
Now it is the same with Liverpool. He made a mediocre Premier League to a club win the league and even the Champions League.
If a team always has to give 100% in order to be successful though there is only a very small margin for things that can go wrong before the team stops being successful, which is now the case at the moment.

Bookmakers are still absolutely confident that Liverpool will advance from the group (it is even considered a favorite for 1st place).

UEFA Champions League 2022/23 - To Qualify From Group A - Liverpool FC

Yes  1,21 No 4,20

In my opinion, these are already crooked quotes. Napoli is strong, Ajax is too - literally one bad game against Ajax and the situation will become catastrophic because only victories will be needed further and the results of other matches will also matter. I won't bet against Liverpool, but their position is less reliable than the bookies think.

I was waiting for a draw before the Napoli - Liverpool match started. Maybe Liverpool were doing bad in the EPL but I was still thinking positive about them in this arena. However things didn't go the way most of us expected. Liverpool maintained their poor performance. They were defensively terrible above all else. I haven't seen them this much weak in defense for a long time. Napoli players were able to get past the defenders easily. I don't think that Klopp has changed anything in the team. So what is dragging them down this much?

The season is long of course but Klopp needs to start getting good results if he doesn't want to be sacked. Liverpool have had a great run with him so far. This season didn't start well and it is very similar to the season Manchester City had in the past. They were also terrible at first but the second half of the season was completely different. So maybe it can be the same for Liverpool also who knows.

Life, Love and Laughter...
^  Good read.  Napoli is up by three goals in just the first half.  And judging by the body language of Klopp's boys, you feeling like they're kinda mentally done for the match.  Exit the stream and enter Inter vs Bayern Munich match...  Lol.  And this match up is little bit better.

I think this is the season that we could fade Liverpool in some spots from a betting perspective and make a little bit of change.  Like if Liverpool was going to play vs Brentford in the EPL, I think that would be a good spot to go for Brenford as the underdog.  What do you think?

I had no luck last night on UCL but I was so close to hit 15x odds but PSG didn't want to make 1 more corner Sad(.

Today might be that day where Liverpool and Bayern might have problems with Italian teams because Inter must finally show that they are capable of doing great games in UCL because last 3 years have been awful for them in UCL and Napoli , surprising or not , they are in a great shape and Liverpool aren't. I could also see a draw on ATL.Madrid - Porto or even a win from Porto just because it seems the era of ATL.Madrid is on a big back foot.

Feeling ultra proud of myself last night.

Put 5 long odds bets and 2 of them hit, should have counted on teams from Ukraine and Croatia to make my day eh?

This one is the best of the lot: Leipzig losing for over 12/1.
Chelsea losing for over 8/1.
Doesn't matter I lost the bets against Real, City and PSG. Made a very nifty 15x profit.

P.S. I guess it's normal that the other non-moderated thread where spam is alive and well is what's popular eh, haha.

If we are talking about the winner of this season I'd also like to say something about it.

I had some difficulties in making a choice between Manchester City and PSG for the title. Because I believe that this is the year for one of these teams finally. No matter which one of them makes it, it's going to be for the first time as you know. The reason why I didn't go for PSG is that I have some doubts about their new manager Galtier. Because he is quite inexperienced for the Champions League. I know that he experienced this place before but he doesn't have any striking success with a team. On the other hand, Manchester City have completed their squad with a great striker like Haaland. Together with Guardiola's tactics this time it can really be their time. We all remember how they were eliminated by Real Madrid last season so I hope they won't have a similar result after this unpleasant experience.

Liverpool v Istanbul Miracle II
I like that one, but how about a team like Rangers winning the UCL, : ) we are already preparing ourselves by reading additional data that inspires to be against the odds, so let's leave the adjective miracle for Rangers, watch out for this team.

We had more participants in cricket even with lower amount of prize pool. If I'm correct, it was only $900 worth of BTC sponsored by sportbet. Don’t know why people don't join with such big prize pool.
I have few guys who played the cricket pool. I will PM them and let them know about this pool.

The issue at hand lies in "rare" since even at this point there is still a "free" slot available, which in my opinion must have had an existence of minutes, maybe hours...

Exactly one week from now, the group matches are officially starting.

It looks like PSG - Juventus is going to be the first big match of the season. PSG are going to play their first Champions League match with Galtier. Their start to the season in the Ligue 1 has been really impressive. Galtier made some changes in the tactic and they are getting efficiency from it very much. On the other hand their opponents so far haven't been challenging of course. Galtier is under pressure of winning the Champions League title and we will see how good he will handle this throughout the season.

When it comes to Juventus' current condition they don't seem sharp. They are having problems with having comfortable wins these days and their last two matches ended in draws. They had many chances against Roma but they were lacking the capability of finding the target many times. It is more related to their midfield. Pogba isn't expected to return before Sep 12 so they might struggle against PSG there.

Considering all of this, I'm planning to bet on PSG to win. Over 2.5 goals might also be a very good option as PSG are very productive recently.

Cristiano Ronaldo still not give up looking for new team participants on Champion League, although have many team confirmed not interested with him from Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Dortmund until PSG. Right now have rumors with Napoli but just one side only and not any official announcement from Napoli interested with Cristiano Ronaldo. I think not really bad if Ronaldo move to Napoli and make Serie A great competitive again for top standing team after AS Roma this season looks dominance.
Do you know how it is? (the feelings of missing to play in the champions league competition with other Big Boys like Lionel Messi , Neymar , Lewandowski and others just sitting and watch other players play) I guess this is where Ronaldo's presure is coming from and the extent at which Christiano Ronaldo thought have reached, and seemingly might be looking to finalize he's career this season or next and wouldn't want to miss out the chance in such competition in the remaining years left in his career looking at his age.

There is absolutely no way that Napoli could be second with Ronaldo. First of all, we are not seeing them anywhere close anyway, and also Ronaldo is not "that" good anymore, if he was that good then some other team would have paid and got him instead, dude is not as good anymore. This means that Milan, Inter, Juventus would still be fighting for the top 3 spots and to be fair Roma is looking better generally.

I have heard that Manchester United are trying to sign Osimhen from Napoli now. However Napoli's demands are really extraordinary.  Grin

Napoli demand 120 million euros + Cristiano Ronaldo + Ronaldo's full salary to be paid by Manchester United.

This is just insane! Hopefully Manchester United won't say okay to this but I'm still doubting their decision. Because they are known as a team which like to spend a lot of money on nearly any kind of player. They have made many teams rich already.  Grin  Napoli must be demanding these because of the intention of showing that they aren't willing to sell Osimhen to any team at the moment. So Ronaldo had better forget about joining Napoli side and the dream of playing in the CL soon.

If Ronaldo comes to Napoli and United can poach Anthony from Ajax, then I think Napoli will be an undeniable contender for second place, and maybe even first, as we have seen that Liverpool can have unexpected failures. At the moment, Ajax's quotes for getting into the top 2 are quite a bit higher than Napoli - 1.77 against 1.83, but due to possible transfers, they can seriously change.

Long story short it doesn't look like it is getting any better for Napoli even with Ronaldo there. But, United with no Ronaldo and Rashford at striker and then Antony at the wing, that would be something that could make United a lot better (plus Erik plus Antony combo again).

You chose the obvious favorites, but we all know that every year in the Champions League we have a lot of surprises and unexpected results, right? Grin
I would not underestimate Napoli in group A, and I think that Atletico is no longer as strong and dominant as before, so Leverkusen also has a good chance in group B.
It will be interesting to see how well Inter can do in group C, but they are not without chances, and I think you underestimated the winner of the Europa League, Frankfurt in group D.
Salzburg is also a very good team in Group E, with good chances for second place.
I think Sevilla is a better team than Dortmund in group G and Benfica is not without a chance in group H.

Napoli are indeed not a team to be underestimated. They have started the Serie A really decently. I expect them to carry this big ambition to the Champions League as well. We would watch a lovely competition between Napoli and Ajax for the second spot. Liverpool's start shouldn't be misleading. They already got a huge 9-0 win in the EPL though. They would be the leader of this group at the end.

Frankfurt maybe won the Europa League title but they aren't giving positive signals at the moment. Their Bundesliga performance has been very bad so far with zero wins in three matches. Maybe they can focus on the Champions League more but I still believe their job is quite difficult in that group. It seems likely for me to see them in the Europa League once more.

The new football season has just started and it is still too early to make any concrete predictions, after only a few games have been played.
I agree, Napoli had a good start in the Italian league and Frankfurt had a weaker start in the German league, but that doesn't mean anything yet.
The football season will be very long and hard and every club will have ups and downs, periods of good results and periods of bad results, and that's normal.
After all, I don't remember that Frankfurt was good in the German league last season, but that's why they played above all expectations in the European league and won the competition.
