Honestly, this whole Ronaldo story is getting a little funny or even sad.
He desperately wants to escape from Manchester and play in the Champions League but no one wants him  Grin
After all, what can he offer a new club other than great marketing value?
Ronaldo has not been playing at his usual top level for the past few years, and as a player he is very selfish and harms the unity of the team.
His only motivation for playing in the Champions League is the desire to preserve his records, so that no one else surpasses them.

You are totally right about it. Ronaldo is acting like a child now. I understand his ambition to play in the Champions League but there is nothing to do about this now. Especially because of his high cost for teams, they don't lean towards offering a deal to sign him. These days his name is called with Chelsea but I don't think that it is more than a rumour at the same time. Chelsea already have Aubameyang and they don't need to add Ronaldo to the team also.

Ronaldo should focus on helping his team to finish the season in top four in the EPL. This is the only way he can find himself in the Champions League again. Or they can focus on winning the Europa League title also which would carry them to the Champions League group stage. But their priority must be the EPL now of course.

Actually I read a rumor somewhere that the Chelsea coach was fired not because of the club's poor results at the beginning of the season but because he opposed bringing Ronaldo to the club  Grin
Of course, it is very difficult to know what is actually true, because Ronaldo as a player has a huge marketing value for every club, but of course it is questionable how much more he can give to the club as a player.
Ronaldo found himself in a situation he did not want, that he has to play in the club he wants to leave and that he will not have the chance to improve his records in the Champions League.

Sure, liverpool actually have a really great players, but I don't think their main problem is bonding, I think the main problem is that Klopp tactics is outdated, other coaches already know how to counter it. Klopp need to find a variation, and be more creative.
Mate that is the same tactics that almost won them the quadruple last season, oh c'mon, they are struggling and there is no doubt about that, but to say it is all down to Jurgen Klopp's philosophy being outdated is outrageous to say the least, i know it is prolly up to the coach to solve the problems with the team, and i think he will do that, but tbh i don't think there is going to be any major tweak in the way Liverpool play their game. Having said that, mind you as well that the team is being ravaged by injuries at the momemt, and Jurgen can't actually wholly call on his first team players, i know injuries aren't really an excuse as it is the duty of the club to ensure adequade depth in the team, but it can be linked to their problems.

Seem Christiano Ronaldo is not even considering his age and retiring anytime soon looking at his urge to leave United during that transfer window period, he needs to be focusing more on his career and retirement to football at Manchester united and stop looking for other clubs where he will be having the opportunity to be featured in the champions league game competition, though he could still deliver anytime anywhere he finds himself, but I don't think that the Big Clubs will be needing his services anymore plus his price tag to sign him as he got few years left in his football career.

There is absolutely no way that Napoli could be second with Ronaldo. First of all, we are not seeing them anywhere close anyway, and also Ronaldo is not "that" good anymore, if he was that good then some other team would have paid and got him instead, dude is not as good anymore. This means that Milan, Inter, Juventus would still be fighting for the top 3 spots and to be fair Roma is looking better generally.
Cristiano Ronaldo still not give up looking for new team participants on Champion League, although have many team confirmed not interested with him from Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Dortmund until PSG. Right now have rumors with Napoli but just one side only and not any official announcement from Napoli interested with Cristiano Ronaldo. I think not really bad if Ronaldo move to Napoli and make Serie A great competitive again for top standing team after AS Roma this season looks dominance.

So today we have a really good match, between two big teams, PSV against Glasgow Rangers, i really like to see Rangers in the group stages, but i think a lot of this teams have to be very carefull because.... what do you prefer, go to the group stage of the UCL and surely go home, or go to the UEL and have the chance to make your way to the final stage?. Its a tricky one question.

This match will be very competitive. PSV is a very strong team. Rangers' performance has been good enough in the previous Champions League. Moreover, the last match between these two teams was a 2-2 draw. Today's match is also likely to be a draw. But I think both teams will be able to score. I'm just waiting to watch a competitive and enjoyable match.

In this game very few people are in favor of Rangers, for many the winner will be PSV, even so those who think that are based on the latest performances and although PSV seems to have everything clearer, I think it is too hasty to say that the Rangers are left out, I don't know, but at the rate they are going if I see that the Rangers have improved with respect to other previous performances, I don't know if it's luck or something, but they can show a lot, maybe with what games left is a golden opportunity.Personally, I would like the teams with the least chance to win and to enter games with a higher level.

Every player in Liverpool is talented. Their main problem is that the bonding of the forward players with the midfield has weakened. In addition, Nunez, one of Liverpool's main strikers, is still not playing well with the team. New players need some time to adjust to the team. Nunez is new to the Premier League. Liverpool's performance will improve if he gradually adapts to the team.

Well, the results of Liverpool lately have been very disappointing, and there is no explanation, but as I have said in previous threads, every team goes through moments like this, suddenly they are at the top and they fall, what should not be allowed is losing many games in a row, but as it is Liverpool they did a great job in the last UCL, and in their league they will not allow themselves to lose more, of that I am sure, they also have some very good players who will not let their team down, honestly this it is something that they will overcome, it should be noted that the teams are now much more competitive, which means that the level is very high, this is what I love.

Although I am aware that bookmakers would give Ajax better odds, I think Ajax vs. Napoli would be a difficult match. However, Liverpool will need to learn from this game and put it to use going forward. For a slow start, all Klopp needs is a winning configuration that benefits Salah as a free agent because of the dribbles and runs he is known to produce. Liverpool's form is nothing near 80%. Despite the fact that the season has only just begun, I am aware that they are being especially careful due to injury concerns. My prediction is that Liverpool and Napoli will struggle to win their group, while Ajax will be hoping for a surprise or to split the points.
Liverpool having a bad time currently with losing their first game in the Champions League. It's hard time for Jürgen Klopp but the board is patient with him as they expect him to bounce back with winning ways. Liverpool losing both in the Premier League and Champions League, a big problem for Klopp as rumours trending that the board might relieved Klopp off his duties as manager. Liverpool have all the quality players at the moment but still failing to win their games. I think that the major problem of the team is injury and the absence of Sadio Mané is affecting them.
You are indeed very correct about Sadio Mane's effect on the team.It is now a known fact that Mane was the one contributing the most to the success of Liverpool, because after he left, they are finding it very difficult to win games, and Salah's impact in the team is not showing, making every one to say Mane was the main reason why they win matches, because of his personal effort and contribution to the team.

I believe that it is still quite early to predict the final look of Group A.

Liverpool are of course in a bad condition and the Napoli match has made things even worse. No matter defensive or offensive performance, they are in a pretty poor shape. However Liverpool had this kind of problems in the past as well. There was a season they had a bad form for some time but they found a way out of the situation later on. This is another similar scenario. Big teams sometimes have this kind of out-of-form times but the most important thing is to get rid of it as quick as possible. I believe in Klopp to fix the issues on a large scale. They still have five more matches in the group and they can still finish it being even the leader if they gather themselves up on time.

Klopp should focus on boosting Salah's morale as well. He is very important for the team. Since Mane left he has been too ineffective. I'd like to remind you of the Bournemouth match for example. Even though they scored 9 goals he had 0 contribution to the team. Every big team have a star player and Salah is the one here. If he is bad the team are the same also.

As Liverpool's next game will be against Ajax, if they don't win it (it will be a home game) then any odds greater than 2 that Liverpool won't make it out of the group will be profitable. In fact, Liverpool have driven themselves into a situation where the second game in the group becomes decisive. I still don't know if I will bet in this game - it's probably worth waiting for the Liverpool-Wolverhampton game and see if Klopp can improve the team's game (especially in defense).
I am also doubting Liverpool will make it pass the group stage. Ajax are well inform it will take a solid defense and midfield to even hold down the game to a draw. This is not the usual PL predictions where  we check h2h performance of both teams to know their strength ahead of the game. Ajax are good at playing fast games and with the poor defense of Liverpool if the make flops there will be massive penetration. Liverpool winning Wolvehampton on the 10th is not enough to risk a bet on them to win against Ajax.

Now, with games in England cancelled, it's even more difficult to gauge Liverpool's shape and bet on the upcoming game. Most likely I will do it only in live mode. I don't even know in favor of Liverpool whether the game with Wolverhampton will be canceled or not. On the one hand, this is the beginning of the season and those who are not injured should be in shape and full of energy, but on the other hand, Klopp has been complaining about the calendar from the very beginning of the season and that the players do not have time to recover.

One of the most awkward matches of the week was Atletico Madrid - Porto by the way. Porto were quite impressive in Metropolitano Stadium. All of the goals came in the stoppage time which was quite interesting. Especially after Porto's equalizer I wasn't expecting a goal anymore. However the winning goal for Atletico Madrid came in a minute like 90+11.  Cheesy  I saw Atletico Madrid as very risky to bet on and stayed away from them. I wasn't wrong about my suspicions as it seems. They are still having serious issues and I wonder if Simeone will continue to manage this team after this season. There were some rumours regarding him to leave before so this might get real in the future maybe.

I think Napoli can beat Ajax, and they can be the group champions, eventhough Liverpool is not in their best form winning 4-1 against them is not an easy task. And I also think Liverpool still has quite a good chance against Ajax, they will share 1 point with Ajax, and the decider would be how many goals they can make against Rangers.

Ajax and Napoli dominated their first matches to win. A 4-1 win against a strong team like Liverpool is truly amazing. I think Napoli will be able to continue this consistency in the second match as well. However, Ajax is a very strong opponent.

This season's Liverpool team seems to be in complete disarray. They are not playing well in the Premier League either. Their performances in the Champions League have been even poorer. Tuchel is now able to understand the absence of Sadio Mane very well. Liverpool is not favorites for the title this season.

Klopp must do something to improve Liverpool's performance, the defeat to Napoli was very painful for Klopp because he never expected to be humiliated by Napoli. If Liverpool fail to qualify from the Group stage, it is certain that Klopp will suffer the same fate as Tuchel's.
Liverpool's performances are far below standard, after appearing captivating when they beat Manchester City in the Community Shield, Liverpool's performance is slowly starting to decline and defeats are getting more and more often this season. Klopp must move quickly to find a way out of the problems facing Liverpool, if he cannot find the right formula, Liverpool can take a firm decision to end the collaboration with Klopp.

Liverpool's odd to win the Champions League has increased to 8.00 after this result I assume. By the way, I find the odd for them to qualify from their group quite low now. My opinion about them has changed very much after seeing their terrible performance against Napoli last night. This performance level wouldn't be enough for continuing in this tournament. Napoli are already better than them as we saw it. Ajax are also in a very solid shape now. They crushed Rangers which shows that they have lost nothing of them after all that transfer activity.

Liverpool have a pretty difficult job to do against these two. I even started to think that the leader might be Ajax. Napoli and Liverpool would be in a fight to finish the group as the 2nd. It is early maybe but Liverpool have been like this for many weeks in the end. I'm having trust issues with them.

Bookmakers are still absolutely confident that Liverpool will advance from the group (it is even considered a favorite for 1st place).

UEFA Champions League 2022/23 - To Qualify From Group A - Liverpool FC

Yes  1,21 No 4,20

In my opinion, these are already crooked quotes. Napoli is strong, Ajax is too - literally one bad game against Ajax and the situation will become catastrophic because only victories will be needed further and the results of other matches will also matter. I won't bet against Liverpool, but their position is less reliable than the bookies think.

Yes you have plenty of reason but, i thing its too early to say that, if Liverpool had a one match who can lose was this one (not so bad) but still in the path.

The problem can become if they lose against Ajax in Anfield, but after that they have 2 games against aRangers and they can collect 6 point in that matches and again be in the fight so, its a long way.

Group A is getting more complicated day by day. Napoli's defeating Liverpool has upset the balances in the group right away. Many people expected Liverpool not to lose or even to win this match. Because they would care about the Champions League much more and be well-prepared. But it was completely the opposite after seeing that horrible defense performance. Joe Gomez was the worst player of the team and Klopp did good by replacing him at the beginning of the first half. But it was too late I'm afraid. They were already far behind their opponent and the morale of the players was gone.

Next time Liverpool are hosting Ajax. This is another very tough match. If we don't see Liverpool winning here also then their chance to qualify for next stage will go down very sharply. Of course they are the strongest team of the group on paper but the performance is the most important point in the end. Neither Ajax nor Napoli would forgive their bad form here.
