One of the matches today in the qualification round is Klaksvik vs Bodo/Glimt. The away team were really impressive in the Europa Conference League last season. They even made Roma big difficulties in the group stage and they were nearly qualifying for next round as the leader. I wonder if we can see some surprises from them this time. They have already captured a 3-0 advantage against Klaksvik by 3-0 in the first leg. It shouldn't be a big deal for them to finish it up today. It is difficult for them to make it to the group stage maybe but it's nice to watch them play dedicatedly.

Well, so far these qualifiers isn't succesfull for me in betting at all. From all favorites only Ludogorets and Sheriff managed to win. Zalgiris won, but just after extra time. Who could predict that Qarabag will destroy Lech 5:1, especially after Lech scoring first. Vikingur reaching draw with Malmo is also unexpected.
About today's games, I don't really know what to bet on today's games after such bad luck. Maybe Bodo/Glimt ML against Klaksvik @1.69. Ferencvaros - Tobol over 2.5 @1.90 and Shakhtyor - Maribor over 1.5 @1.55

The poll looks quite funny.

Everyone agrees that City was already great, but they lacked a pure striker that could score a bunch of goals.
Now that they have Haaland, everyone thinks that it is not even a competition.

At this point if City somehow loses, which is still possible because this is football and anything could happen, then I feel like it's going to be quite a tough challenge for them to recover from this. I believe Pep's contract will be ending at the end of the season right?

Well, I believe that it could be his last season and would probably not get renewed if he loses with this roster as well, he needs to prove to the world that he could get it, otherwise he is probably out.

He has a valid contract until the summer of 2023, but I think that he will easily extend it if he wants (he himself hinted that he might want a new challenge for himself and finish his job in England) because, unlike PSG, where domestic titles do not cost anything, the championship in The Premier League is a solid achievement and as long as he can provide it, his position will be strong.
As for City's prospects in the Champions League, I wouldn't say that Haaland's transfer had any effect on them at all. In addition to City, one way or another, there will be 5-6 strongest teams capable of taking the title, and given the randomness of games in the playoffs, the chances of each will be approximately the same.

I agree: keep Champions and Europa as is. Conference should be for everyone else, and in fact, it shouldn't even allow seeded teams there (like come on Spurs shouldn't ever have been there a top 10 spender in Europe).

I think that would be a great idea. By implementing this, all smaller teams will be able to play in tournaments, and the Champions League and Europa League will be a lot cleaner.

But, if I am not wrong it will cause the smaller teams to concentrate on the conference a lot more instead of trying to get promoted in the other competitions. I hope I am not wrong but that will certainly take a lot of interest away from the Champions League and Europa League.

Well duh, don't you know how it works? Or are you just posting here for the sake of it hehe.

Anyway, if I'm a smaller team, I'd focus on winning Conference > trophy, prize money. Then automatic qualifying next season for Europe > bigger trophy, bigger prize money.

Win that and you get qualification to UCL. Great right?

The reason why conference league was created, was not so that people at higher levels would go down to a lower league all the time, it was the fact that football became much bigger, and all teams could go around the europe to play other teams and not only they would be able to afford it, but they would actually make more money from it.

So, if you end up doing something like "let's move all the teams one step down" and basically make others smaller, then it would not be helpful, it would be similar amount of teams, maybe a bit more, that plays.

We should have leagues that have as many as possible, even add more groups to UCL and Europa and Conference, just to include more teams so everyone would make more money. NBA doesn't pay players like Curry by having 40 games, they have 82 games plus playoffs, that's how you make money for the clubs, if football clubs had 82 games as well, that would be much more profitable.

After manchester city lost aguero a few months ago they no longer have a dangerous centre-forward, although Manchester city at that time had Gabriel Jesus but guardiola seemed to lack faith in him so he prefers to optimize the wing play and the goals created are more scattered than a few players than a one player, now this I think guardiola will change his formation again after haalaand arrival, so maybe later haalaand will be a pure striker who is specially plotted to be a finisher like messi used to be in barcelona, so far we know guardiola as a great coach who has successfully won the title and I don't think if manchester city will release guardiola easily, I believe guardiola will have a long time with manchester city and he will renew his contract which will expire soon, champions league is the only trophy he has yet to get for manchester city and I feel that getting the champions league trophy for manchester city is guardiola main target right now before he leaves manchester city later.

My bets for today's qualifier. I take Zalgiris ML against Balkani @2.00. Qarabaq - Lech, under 2.5 @1.65. Sheriff ML against Zrinjski @1.67. Shamrock Rovers win against @1.70 Hiberrnians and and Malmo win against Vikingur @1.60. Today I'm going with relatively safe options

Today so far those safe options if you have put them in a parlay didn't go as expected,Zalgiris could not win in regular time,Qarabag completely destroyed Lech Poznan which was somewhat of a surprise result for me,Shamrock didn't win against Hibernians and the only safe bet you have got from those is Sheriff which to me looked like the most reasonable bet for tonight.Malmo should win but the game is still going although Malmo is leading.

I lost my bet on Tirana, they screw up several times tonight and they deserved to lose the game,I choose them over Qarabag as I thought they were playing against a weaker opponent but Qarabag destroyed their opponent while Tirana lost.

It looks like tonight it was a night of a couple of surprise results compared to what historically these preliminary phase shows,we used to make money on these games, nowadays we keep losing money here.

This is why I believe that we should be getting the qualifiers of UCL a bit less, not have this many, instead move those to europa right now, and the high amount of qualifiers for europa should be moved to conference league instead. Have the conference league a VAST thing that all the weird smaller clubs could play, and have the eruopa to be few smaller clubs and then mediocre European ones, and only the greatest ones and champions at the champions league.
Why would you have teams that worth less than literally bench player of a big club as a whole. We see literally bench player of City being worth more than Dinamo as a whole for example, that just doesn't make sense, send them to europa and they would have a chance.
I don't even know when it changed to be honest and to be even more honest I really never followed them, the most maybe was the final qualifying game just before Group Stage since by then you're interested to see who's joining group stage but it was generally still very good teams in that list.
And I mean no offence to the ones playing now, I would say none of my local teams deserve even Asian Champions League so to see them play there would be really weird.

Would it be fair to outrightly send teams to lower European competitions because of their poor/low budget. By Dinamo do you mean Dinamo Zagreb? If it was them you meant, they for example are the most successful football club in croatia, and even though they always perform woefully in the Champions League, i think clubs like them and other smaller teams should have the right to represent their respective leagues. Having said that, by the time the CL gets to its QF stage, the big teams will be filtered from the lower clubs that must have all crashed out by then, and thus the big teams continue the competition, and the fun goes on.

For tomorrow KF Tirana vs Dudelange,I think Tirana has a good value odd at 1.9,they lost the first game in Luxembourg but I think they have enough quality to turn things around tomorrow. It is different from that 1.8 that we see in Qarabag because Qarabag is playing against a much stronger opponent than the opponent Tirana is playing.I see a lot of value bets for tomorrow but better stop talking and think further, maybe I don't play slots tomorrow in favor of a big parlay which can have some really nice odd,all the games look pretty predictable at least in theory and paper  Grin.

If I were to choose a game with the best odd I would choose Sheriff Tiraspol as last year or two years before they were in Champions League groups, now they have an odd of 1.75 at home against a Bih(Bosnia Herzegovina) team which I think they are going to win.

As i always say everybody now plays football. Before it was much easier on this qualifiers teams quality was a big difference .
But yeah Dinamo was an apsolute favorite and to lose to such a weak estonian club is a shock. Be careful with this bets in the future
That's some truth to it, I mean I don't mind there is Conference League and everyone gets their chance for international club football but now yes I even see weird teams playing to qualify for Champions league, now it's really 90% of the teams I don't recognize.

No use to be more careful, but maybe useful to bet on the other team facing favorites!

I mean, yeah this is Champions League but it's not actually started yet, betting at this stage is just like betting on Third or Fourth tier football. I blame it on lack of La Liga!

This isn't really that different from the top level teams. I mean when City plays against Liverpool or Madrid or whatever, that is a bit unknown. And when Tbilisi plays against Paide that is unknown as well. Doesn't feel like they are different when we are talking about betting and results. Sure the first two are great at football and they are awesome and we all watch that game, and this one doesn't feel that awesome and I do not even watch them. But that doesn't change the fact that betting on both are a bit more unknown.

In the end, I feel like it's not personally good for me to bet on these, at least the other games between great clubs are good enough for me to watch and I can predict something. These are not only hard to predict, but also boring to care.

Such a big warning to me not to bet a lot on these games again. See my betslip, I won Brazilian league pick and lost 3 out of 4 of the Champions League qualification games.

I thought it was right to pick 2 'Dinamo' teams lol.

I agree with the fact that it's not the usual Champions League yet, but the little predictable games of weak teams from different countries, so betting at this stage is very risky... Still, I was hoping that Sheriff would win Zrinjski without any problems, because last season they beat the reigning Champions League champion on an away match... In general, you need to know very well the football of the lower level from the less known countries to make bets on these matches...

Last season I didn't think Madrid would win, in fact I'm quite surprised they won again. There aren't many great players but they have experience, and a winning mentality. Knew this would be more difficult. I think at the moment I am more for Liverpool and Man City. They have prepared the team better by getting Nunez and Haaland. For PSG I am not sure, but they have signed a new coach, I think they really want to win the UCL. But I read the news that Neymar was leaving.
Nobody really thought that Real Madrid would win, that was a very shocking result to everyone. First they faced PSG and everyone thought Mbappe would find a way to win, between Messi and Neymar he had some world class help, and somehow they still lost.

I mean that last goal maybe 10 seconds into the game, right after scoring, that back to back really killed the whole team in an instant. Then they faced Chelsea and still managed to make a comeback there as well, great game for sure. Then the magnificent City, they slot the first game there too, and then they were down until 88th minute of the game, seriously how are you down two games in, whole ass two games, and then turn things around in 2 minutes. Not gonna talk about Liverpool because that looked like they kind of did well enough to win there anyway without any worry.

Real punters been having a blast past 3 seasons, great odds and to take 2/3, phew.

City's never been worth the outright being favs every recent season I can recall. PSG too, overrated and unfortunately, now Liverpool too after making 3 finals in last 5.

Might go for some all-ins from Group stage on 3 or 4 favs (bet on win, bet it all again for 3 or 4 consecutive). Compound that crap haha.
