In this case, I don't think it's appropriate to compare something that doesn't need to be compared.
but for Pep I still feel he deserves to be at City because regardless of what he can't force his will when the team he coaches loses mentally in the Champions League then there is no need to blame.
His performances at City have been outstanding and he still deserves to be, besides if he does end up leaving at least for now it's quite difficult to find a new coach to suit the players.

Well, at the end of your post you also said the reason Sir Fagie cannot be compared to Guardiola. Guardiola has arguably the best squad and bench in football while Sir was using average players most times to perform wonders. Apart from the depth of players, Guardiola is known for making big mistakes at big stages. Last year champions league he lost it to Chelsea because he benched his top 9 and played formation that Tuchel and everyone knows. Formation that was faulted twice before finals, with a defensive midfielder.
Last week against RM, he could not defend a match he was wining and substituted Kelvin Debruyne in the match.

When that substitution was made I know within me that he was about to repeat the same mistake he made in the last season's championship, how can a coach make such a change at that critical time when you need all the good hands to defend your goal till the end of the match. Manchester City lost out on the champion league because of the substitution and the coach is to be blamed real Madrid just took advantage of the mistake too. make a bounce back.

Stats def help but in a one game knock out for the win, it won't always give an accurate prediction. Even in a tournament format.. Remember Man City was projected to be the favorite to win the UCL by the bookies. Those guys don't fool around and they have the sharpest guys running stats with a decent sample size that could give them the most accurate picture of what's about to happen. But then again there's always that margin for error. So I'd pick Liverpool to win but seeing Ancelotti out fox Pep at the second leg of the semis, I wouldn't be surprised if he out foxes Klopp too.
