PSG finally invested a bit into their midfield and it is showing on the pitch. I think that this season they will be amongst favorites but weak league and lack of games where they need to defend will again be their biggest problem. They simply cannot prepare for big CL games by playing Ligue 1.
Thats why it is very important when the domestic leagues every club plays in is very competitive, when there is a lot of competition in the local leagues, the clubs strive to do better each season and they better themselves as a result. PSG will undoubtedly win the Ligue 1 title again and the only place where they seem to be challenged is in the Champions League and that is not enough.

It is true that Lique 1 is not that tough compared to the Spanish, EPL and Bundesliga but it is maybe a blessing on PSG to at least stay healthy. Last season was a big big disaster for PSG. Given an easier Lique 1 then playing time can be lessened on some key players. UEFA is the main goal here. A healthy PSG squad is a minimum quarter finals level of a team.

What do you guys think about Dinamo chances against Man. City? I know that City is probably in the top 10 or even top 5 teams in the world, but do you think that Dinamo have any chance to have at least a dignified defeat (I'm not sure if that's the right phrase  Smiley )? I'm talking about a chance to not get humiliated by losing 5-0 or more.

Any thoughts about Valencia - Ajax?

Still hoping that Ajax win but last weekend they didn't had such great game against Groningen. But it seems that in European matches they play a lot better then in the Eredivisie.

Or maybe we will have mega surprise and PSG gonna win. That could be something

I honestly doubt PSG can progress further than quarter-finalist. They didn't perform that well, and in some matches, they got 'lucky' because Neymar, which in fact, is evident not going to stay in PSG if he has the chance to leave.

Last season they failed to progress further because of Man United. If they see another team that's better than Man United (especially considering how bad MU is right now), then it would be a tough game.

This year I think they can progress further than quarter finals based on what I have seen in their first game,a really great football show and a great win against Real Madrid.I think they are capable of progressing and I think they may even reach the finals,Mauro Icardi is a great forwarder and together with Cavani can be a goal mean machine.

For Barcelona I think this session is very prestigious for this Spanish champion, last couple of years they lost their destiny in this UCL in the away match, it's really unbelievable to lose by conceding more than 3 goals in the last three sessions, it's really incredible for their fans, Lol. so they are trying to make a good combination both home and away game by signing some shining star like Grizzman and de young, but their defensive line is not stronger as they have forward lined up. so Barcelona should pay attention to the defense area and I think it will help them to return UCL trophy to their ShowCase. They need to do well in away matches too.

English clubs are favorites. Liverpool can do that one time again or maybe Guardiola with Manchester City can win
For sure Barca Real or even Atletico will count

-snip-

It is too soon to say anything. Even in 2018-19 season, Barcelona had rough start in defence with Umtiti getting injured and Lenglet getting red card in his first game. Pique was making huge mistakes and cost 4 points to Barcelona. But as season progressed, defensive duties turned better and Barcelona had pretty fine last season except Liverpool disappointment.
Similarly, I feel defensive crisis will soon get over this season too. In one or two months, Umtiti will be ready. Also, rumours are out there that Barcelona is planning to sign Rugani in winter window. So they will have quite number of choices in defence by the start of next year when important matches will be played.
I still think Liverpool has the best chance to win the champions league this season along with Juventus and Barcelona. But I think Liverpool is still a step ahead in terms of team chemistry and general play. Group stage is very crucial for Liverpool though as they always struggle to get through. Juventus has a tough group and Barcelona still has defensive issues. The group stage is very crucial and December might give a better picture for the knockouts.

For me, Juventus isn't even among Top 5 contenders of winning Champions League this year. They have very less attacking prowess, I doubt if Juventus would be able save its domestic title (Inter Milan is on fire this season) let alone Champions league.
Liverpool lost their first group match against Napoli but it cannot be taken as much concern because like Barcelona, Liverpool too have bad away match reputation. But once they play at Anfield, story changes altogether. Also they have two weak teams in group so i won't be surprised if Liverpool win all of their next 5 games in group-stage.

If talking about returning the UCL trophy to Barcelona, it seems less convincing for this season. You are right, their defense must be rethought and unfortunately their defense is not heeded or they are always convinced, CB is now able to deal with defense problems. Actually this is a fact, that Barcelona are always strong in the front line and inversely proportional to their back line.

I fully support Juventus but at this stage of the group Juventus have opponents like Atletico Madrid, for other groups I support clubs from other Serie A and hope the final match comes from an Italian club.

Barcelona has always focused on improving the quality of the midfielders so that the attackers and the money they spend is very much on that position. But, they forget that the quality of their defender is not good.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Inter in a tough game. I also think their Serie A form is overhyped and don't see any real quality in that team (although they have some decent players).

The 'problem' in this is that Barcelona is really looking weak this season. I still think they have enough to win against this Inter side.

I am much more for Barca than Inter.Barca has strong defense and still many creative offensive players
Inter won all his games in Serie A but it is only Serie A rather poor competition
So it will be first real test for Inter first strong rival .Barca win because Barca is playing home

Barcelona on the other hand might feel too confident playing at home, though. however, Nothing is guaranteed playing in Camp Nou or not.
While Barcelona is struggling to get its performance back, inter seems to have a good start in their respective leagues.
The game between the two is challenging, hard to predict. It depends from Inter performance that day rather than Barca physical and mental presence imo
Barcelona still can win comfortably against Inter but I think Messi would be pivotal for the win. Barcelona have been subpar without Messi in the starting line up. Would be an exciting watch for sure.

I agree with what @Harkorede said
That there is no guarantee at all Barcelona won because it played at Camp Nou. It's just the additional power from the support, all back to the performance of each team.

I don't think Barcelona will win easily because they are playing at Camp Nou, Inter will complicate the efforts of the Barcelona and on other occasions Inter can get victory if Messi and his friends play badly again.
