Manchester City vs Real Madrid game was the most delightful one undoubtedly. I don't remember any game that was better than this in the Champions League in the near past. Both of the teams challenged against each other superbly and we got a 4-3 score at the end of the game. Benzema is such a special striker that he scored two goals in this game as well. He was so hungry for the win as his body language was telling that in an obvious way. He was so angry to see his team conceding goals easily. But this result is still not too bad for them. They can turn this around in the second leg.
Real Madrid has played in the same way against their opponents from the round of 16 matches. They lost the first leg against PSG by one goal. PSG scored first goal in the second leg, but Real Madrid won the match with the hat-trick of Benzema. RM won against Chelsea in the first leg. Benzema got hat-trick again. But Chelsea got lead in the second leg. RM somehow managed to level the goals and they scored the winning goal during extra time. Madrid made the semifinal exciting too. Man City having only 1 goal lead. Real Madrid have the ability to turn back in the second leg. They may win the match if Benzema can score some goals in the next match.
Obviously as said it's not too bad for Real Madrid to play in the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu any circumstances before it will definitely turn around but this time with Manchester City there is a possibility of the same thing as before where Benzema became the savior for Real Madrid for that victory , but Real Madrid always brings good surprises, before I also thought the score 4-3 would not happen but the goals were mutually exclusive so it was not a slump for Real Madrid in the second leg later.
The second leg is decisive, of course, it will be more exciting than the first leg.

Benzema has come a long way and the way he has matured is really immense. Couple of years back he wasn't good with finishes and many didn't held him as a great talent but the managers continued to put trust on him and look how he is paying the club back. The first goal in the game was so difficult given the pressure from Zinchenko but the perfect slight touch opened the account for them. And the penalty was a calm one too.

although Madrid's outstanding front line was again a savior in the match in the 1st leg, but that did not cover the fact that Real Madrid's defense was sloppy. It must be admitted that Man City could have won more with the opportunities they had. Don't forget that Man City had one chance that failed to become a goal. Hopefully the second leg of Real Madrid's defense is better and doesn't repeat the mistakes like the 1st leg. I still really hope Real Marid is in the final.

Real Madrid will really need to focus on their defense in the rematch. They were too weak against Manchester City defensively for some time. They don't have the luxury of doing it again in the rematch now. Otherwise, Manchester City might be able to get what they want in that match also and they would finish the job. Real Madrid are already very strong offensively. I don't have any doubt that they can score easily in the rematch too. But they definitely need to improve their defense.
It's true, that Real Madrid's weakest point was in the defensive line in yesterday's first leg match. How could they allow Manchester City players to freely control the area they should be guarding. We can see how goals are scored by Manchester City, they can easily do that. Luckily they can close it with 3 goals in return which makes them have a big chance in the second leg later.
If Real Madrid doesn't change the game scheme, it is very likely that Manchester City will dominate the game, even Real Madrid will find it difficult to score goals, even though they play at home in the second round, Real Madrid's biggest weakness in defense, they lost the game like when Ramos is still at Real Madrid, Real Madrid have to change the style of play, if they don't want to lose in the second round, both clubs are still very open, but I still beat Real Madrid.
It's more likely that Real Madrid's defense is weak, but the attack (and midfield) of Manchester City are very strong. In principle, one De Bruyne by himself can decide the outcome of any game, not counting Sterling, Bernardo Silva and Foden. Real Madrid have Benzema and generally high chances of getting out. It is quite possible to win back one ball, especially on your own field.

Real Madrid has two problems. First, their defense is very weak. Their defenses become weaker when performing against strong teams. Second, they always rely on Benzema to score. The outcome of the Real Madrid match depends on Benzema's performance.
On the other hand, Guardiola's Manchester City team is stable and strong. At the same time, Guardiola's great match strategy helped them to perform better.

yes that's right bro, the first leg match is very entertaining for football lovers. The match was so tight from the first half to the second half, especially Real Madrid who never gave up even though they were 2-0 down but still managed to reduce the goal loss to 4-3. Even though Real Madrid lost but there is still hope thanks to Benzema, Real Madrid's hope to advance to the final is still wide open. I am sure the second leg of the game of the two teams will be more exciting.

Real Madrid made a lot of mistakes in defense. Strong teams like Manchester City don't forgive mistakes like this. They turn every position into a goal. Indeed, Real Madrid could have conceded more goals in the match. Manchester City proved to be the strongest favorites of this tournament. I guess they will win the league and champions league. I give Manchester City more chances than Liverpool.
Even if Real Madrid made a lot of mistakes in defence, the 4-3 away score showed that Manchester City also made a lot of mistakes, since they allowed so many goals. I also thought Manchester City would win, but after the Real Madrid match I had my doubts. Now there is no telling how they will play in Madrid. I think Real Madrid can play better at home than away.
Actually rather than saying this was a mistake I would rather that their attack was strong, no matter what but that's how it is. They create chances and goals are proof that they are a great attacking team but that doesn't mean their defense is weak it's just that their attack power is greater than their defense.
They showed their highest game and that's a good thing

Hm don't be too sure mate Cheesy
Have you forgotten what happened to a team that Madrid played against before? I think you are taking this too lightly because even though City are ahead in this first leg, it is only 1 goal in aggregate and I hope you don't underestimate Madrid just because of this 1 goal aggregate.
I personally am still quite confident in the strength of Madrid and City must be prepared for that in the second leg later

So, I think Manchester City decided that the best defense is offense and they realized that containing Benzema is going to be really hard so they have to attack, and attack they did from the very start of the match.

It was a match with a lot of goals but in the end, there will have the advantage of only one goal. So, I think in the second leg Real Madrid will still have a great chance of winning because they do perform really great in big stages of football.
the most important thing now is that they have to secure the midfield because indeed when one of the teams in this second leg secures the midfield then the chances of winning will be a little bigger there.

The best defense is to keep attacking and that is true because it will be useless if they continue to defend. but maybe there is a different pep strategy here, maybe they won't attack as much as their boring match against Atletico in the 2nd Leg

Therefore there is no time to relax for Liverpool just because they have a capital of 2 goals. Playing at the opponent's cage will be quite different and if it provides a little more support for Villareal players, automatically the aggressiveness of Villareal's performance will be much increased. Reflecting on Leg 1 when first half Liverpool lost many chances and only second half they could take points.
So far I don't think Liverpool underestimate their Champions League opponents because I think every game they play is important to win. A 2-goal advantage over Villareal will not make Liverpool safe to qualify for the final, so they will not be satisfied until the final ticket is in hand.

It's true that Liverpool's chances of qualifying for the final are slightly better after the first leg win, but honestly that advantage doesn't guarantee anything for Liverpool especially because Villareal are playing at home in the second leg.

UEFA Champions League - Qualify for final

Liverpool 1.02

Manchester City FC 1.17

Real Madrid 3.50

Villarreal 8.90

Quotes of Liverpool and Villarreal look fair. But City and Real? 1.17 for City with only one goal advantage and a decisive game at the Santiago Bernabéu?  Huh
Plus, you can look at it from the other side: can Real Madrid, having three attempts, pass City once in the current conditions? If so, then the odds of 3.5 (>3) are unreasonable.

Liverpool did a supremely professional job in what was a trickier tie than it looked, and yes they look very likely now to reach the final.
Real vs Man City is certainly a lot more closely balanced than those odds suggest. If a first leg ends 4-3, then how can anyone really write-off the team that scored three and say they won't win the return match? Of course Real will be under considerable pressure, and of course beating Man City anywhere is a tough ask, but really, those odds do look quite extreme.

I think a 3.5 odd for real madrid is a bit generous i think their previous comebacks made the bookmakers give them such an odd, considering their weak defense and the fact that they don't play well at home even when they had a big advantage against chelsea they managed to conceide three goals when they played defensively i think man city will easily pass to the final.

Madrid weak defensive  team play against city can be attributed Alaba not really fit for the game. He just had to play. That was why he was subbed off for nacho who preferably isn’t the first choice of defense.
Man city is definitely a team that can penetrate you with the slightest chance they have. The slightest. But i do not see Madrid overturning this game in the second leg..
Why don't you see Real Madrid can turn things around in the second leg? does Real Madrid not have the ability to do that?
I think Real Madrid is not a club that stays silent when they lose in the first leg because they will obviously evaluate it to prepare for the second leg more seriously and equip a stronger defense of course.

Real Madrid were really bad at defending their opponent in both halves. Manchester City didn't have much problem on finding the chances they were looking for. After doing the same against Chelsea.

Manchester City and Liverpool are favourites, but of course you can't ignore Real Madrid. I believe Manchester City are good candidates to be in the final but if Liverpool are the opponent it is always difficult to predict who will win.

But now discussing the final seems too far away especially as these teams will still play the second leg on 4-5 may so there is always an unexpected possibility about the outcome. I just hope Liverpool and Manchester City end up making it to the final regardless of who wins the title.

For me, i foresee an all England final. Yes there could be some surprise as the second leg. I doubt if the Madrid game can be overturned. Man city has a very solid team although some injuries like walker but then cancelo is a beast. Madrid lost at the Santiago  to Chelsea if not for the result of the first play they’ll been out and If we can agree City’s team will outrun Chelsea  so winning at the bernebeu wouldn’t be much of an issue to City.. Lets not forget  Pep is so desperate to lay his hands on that trophy once more having lost to Chelsea at the finals last season..
So I believe he will do anything tactically possible to make sure He wins or if push comes to shove, a draw.
.
As for the case of Liverpool, Villareal is an unpredictable team having seen what they were able to do to Juve and Bayern Munich but they would have had that advantage if they only suffered a 1 nil defeat at Anfield. So overturning a 2 goal lead against Klopp’s team is not something we see regularly. Really a big task
So all England final it is..
