We can see some statements that I think have become a matter of debate after this Champions League final, such as statements made by Owen which I think are a bit controversial. Indeed, everyone has the right to have an opinion and it becomes a freedom, but keep in mind that it must also be in line with what happens in reality.

Liverpool were the major losers this season, although they tried to get to the final of the champions league, and also was in a competition with Manchester city to win the premier league this season, but all went fruitless, when they lost to Real  Madrid, and Mancity came back from a 2-0 down to win Aston Villa, and later won 3-2 in a bid to win the tittle.Liverpool were left frustrated after they didn't win any of those two.I am not really happy that Liverpool did not win the champions league, because English teams have been playing well and deserve to win it again.
Liverpool wanted to get the quadruple or maybe a treble this just concluded season but in the end we couldn’t. They just have to settle with the Carabao and FA Cup. I understand that both the team and fans will be feeling disappointed but I think their season wasn't a bad one at all. In the EPL, as at January no one thought they could have cut the points down to one. Their route to the UEFA Champion's League final was quite easy but they were impressive and gave Real Madrid a good fight in the final.

It was just bias. Most of the commentary was all siding with the English sides. Pundits such as Micheal Owen were just spewing garbage, and they still are to this date.

A squad having greats and Legends like Modric, Marcelo, Benzema, Toni Kroos, Casemiro, Carvajal, Bale etc. can not be under looked. These players have more Champion's league trophies than some teams  Grin

How many such legends does Manchester City or Liverpool have in their current squad, for starters?

I really laughed at the fact that even after losing to Real Madrid, Owen said that Liverpool is still the strongest club in the world  Grin While Liverpool is number two in both the Premier League and the Champions League. I saw that even some English athletes said that Owen was unfair in his statements. But it looks like Owen has been heading the ball too much in his day and he doesn't really care if his words match reality.

I think Real Madrid did not get the respect just because they didn't have a squad stacked with great players.

That's too much of an understatement and it turns out that what happened on the field was still the legendary player mentioned that made their game calm even though possession lost but Real Madrid and their squad were able to make a comeback with a win, isn't that a sign that Real Madrid when they are in the game? in the final it will be very different, as the final itself will win it.

A hard blow for Liverpool fans because many think Liverpool's game is not optimal without lifting a trophy in the big league, Liverpool has dropped from defeat in two prestigious leagues this season but should we break the spirit of Liverpool supporters!
Liverpool cannot be said to have failed miserably this season just because they didn't win the Premier League and Champions League. Their failure in these two competitions shouldn't be considered a very bad thing and I think their fans should respect that. Liverpool have tried to be the best in the Premier League, but unfortunately Manchester City couldn't be stopped by Aston Villa in their last game. In the Champions League Liverpool were just unlucky because they couldn't score, it's regrettable but the fans shouldn't think it's been a bad season for Liverpool.

I'm not a Liverpool fan, but I think it's still worth their effort this season especially because they managed to have the chance to win four times over. But unfortunately, the two titles they dreamed of this season had to be lost because other teams were better or luckier than them.
Liverpool's performance in the just-concluded season is somewhat commendable even though the club failed to carry the championship trophy, am a Liverpool fan but then I must say with the level of experience built by real Madrid over time their more deserving of the trophy. Check real Madrid's performance this season, their top of the league and managed to lift the trophy as experience champions I know Liverpool tried their best to make it to the finals, but champion league experience makes real Madrid emarge the winner, let us not total write out Liverpool performance this season just because their failure to carry the trophy.

Off course Liverpool seems to be the major loser this season, but then the club tried to have come second in both premiere and champion league and also winning the FA cup this season. So i will not see Liverpool as a total failure this season.

to me i don't consider them a looser, yes because they have shown the entire world all they got and make a pursuit for it, there's a slogan that said "if you aimed at the sun but arrived at the moon then you've tried enough" at least a milestone is achieved, we all know that we never expected such a good performance from Liverpool this season but since we all see the dexterity in them, we supported them to reach the final which they did even though they never win the trophy.

Even the Champions League trophy that their players get is more than the big teams in the Premier League, does not reduce my respect for English teams but statements that corner me I think must be answered with the same statement. We cannot deny that Real Madrid is filled with great and experienced players. Even some people think their time is over (senior players at Real Madrid) but they are able to win prestigious trophies.
Real Madrid have a history of great teams in the Champions League and they seem to know what they have to do when they reach the final. The mentality of the Real Madrid players is much stronger than any team in the Champions League, so if they reach the final then the mandatory target is the title.

Real Madrid have only failed 3 times in the final, and that has happened in the past. But every other final after those 3 fail, it seems they can't lose and have to win the title no matter what.

In total Liverpool have not failed this season and have tried their best to win all the trophies, it's just that the luck factor has not been maximized so Liverpool will definitely try again next season and Liverpool will definitely be a team to be reckoned with in several leagues next season.

I don't think it's too hard for Liverpool fans because Liverpool don't lose in large numbers and always compete in a healthy manner in every match and what Liverpool is up against is also a very big team like Real Madrid in the Champions League, so it's still very natural if the defeat is very thin and it's not something that should be taken as a slump for Liverpool.

Well, I believe Liverpool played well but was really unlucky. Mohammed Salah had a few chances to score but the goalkeeper of Real Madrid was really good. And for those who are criticizing Mohammed Salah because of him not being able to score, I am quite sure that they don't know what they are talking about. And I don't think it was overhyped considering the fact that it was a Champions League final.
The truth is, English Media hyped all the English clubs and players that played against Real Madrid. It was very pathetic. You should have seen how the likes of Foden were being praised for being a much better upcoming players than Vini Jr (well at least Justice was served right, Vini Jr silenced all of them all the way to the Trophy)

Being a 14 times UCL winner, Real Madrid deserves some bit of respect and I hope it is a big lesson learned for the doubters.

Yes, it is obvious that the media had hyped up the final and they hyped up the win for Liverpool. And it is obvious why they did this because the English Premier League is the most competitive right now and that's why they will look for content. I honestly believe that both teams had an equal chance of winning in the Champions League finals. And after all Real Madrid was the better team. I think Real Madrid did not get the respect just because they didn't have a squad stacked with great players.

No one expected Real Madrid to win the finals of the championship even though the club gave won the tournament on several occasions a lot of Liverpool fans and football fans were eyeing a Liverpool trophy this season but that never happened.
Well overall in the match Liverpool was better a lot more possesion and shots, but against Real Madrid that dosent matter at all. They have came back always from losing and now they played really smart. So this is a deserved win by Real Madrid in the final
This is football, the team that plays dominantly may not necessarily win the game. When the match was still in progress, the crowd following the game said Liverpool would be the winner, because Liverpool was more dominant, both in terms of possession and shooting. Real Madrid defended well, they took one chance smartly, a goal from Vinicius made all the Liverpool players efforts to a stalemate and they have to admit Real Madrid deserved to winnners.
That's right, what matters is the final result of the match to determine the winner. whatever happens Real Madrid have won their 14th Champions League trophy. I don't think it's luck but it's part of their tactics, playing defensively and on the counter-attack.
what Real Madrid have done against PSG, Chelsea and also Man City made them I think they deserve to win the UCL trophy this season. they are a team with a winning mentality.
Regarding Real Madrid's gameplay in the final, I personally don't agree that Real Madrid deserves the title, but if I consider Real Madrid's process from the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, Real Madrid deserves to win the title. Just imagine, in the round of 16 Real Madrid played against PSG, in the quarter-finals Real Madrid played against Chelsea and in the semifinals Real Madrid played against Manchester City until finally in the final played against Liverpool. If we look at Real Madrid, who managed to beat the top three EPL teams in the UCL and what's even more amazing, Real Madrid's steps were not smooth in the knockout phase. Because Real Madrid did not even lead in the first leg so many predicted Real Madrid would lose in the second leg, but the fact is Real Madrid really has an undoubted winning mentality.

It has been a very weird run from Real Madrid. Take any of those victories in isolation, the round against PSG, or against Chelsea, or Man City, or the final against Liverpool... and it's possible to argue quite convincingly that Real were lucky and shouldn't really have won. But when this type of victory becomes a pattern over four consecutive rounds and seven matches in total, beating four of the biggest and best teams in Europe, then it becomes very difficult to argue against them. Real had by far the toughest luck of the draw in the quality of the teams they had to play against, and they still managed to triumph every time.

I never heard Liverpool want to sell Salah, it's dumb if they sell Salah since he was the one who scored the highest goals in their club. I heard about Mane want to leave, not sell. Mane said when he ever think to leave Liverpool, he always remember when he started and got accepted in Liverpool, that make him don't want to leave.
I think only rumors but not from valid news, Mohamed Salah is not for sell because he played an important role for Liverpool during this season, even though Liverpool failed to win 2 trophies but Liverpool remain optimistic to lift the trophy next season, I also just found out if Mane wants to leave Liverpool but I'm sure he's staying for Liverpool.
It will be a very long consideration for Liverpool to let go of one of their star players, Mohammed Salah. Yes, if that happened, Liverpool would definitely charge a very high price. Right now Liverpool still need Mohammed Salah in their squad so they are not going to let him go. Di himself does not seem very interested in changing teams for now.
