Liverpool was much better in this match had over 20+ shots on goal but Courtous made some amazing saves and handed the champions league title to his team. Real Madrid again with less then 5 shots wins the match like in previous rounds
It is not about who is better, it is about the winner.

Congratulations to all the Real Madrid fans. I believed in Liverpool until the last, but it didn't happen. Obviously Liverpool were much stronger in this match, but that was not enough. 19 shots against 2, 1 of which was on target and was decisive, you don't even need stats, you just had to watch the match, it was obvious) A real shame about the Liverpool players
It is 9 shots on target from Liverpool. No team to shame, they both qualified for the final, it has not been easy but people hyped Liverpool too much but Real Madrid won Champions League again. I was not expecting anything much from Liverpool than Real Madrid to win or the match should lead to draw and penalty as Liverpool did not successfully win any league or cup this season without playing penalty.
I think Liverpool was over hyped in the championship finals game, as many football fans were already rooting for Liverpool win despite knowing how Liverpool performance have been through out the league. Real Madrid have held the trophy for a long and are better experience at the final than Liverpool.

I think if there was another game tomorrow, Liverpool would have won this time. Real Madrid won the final match thanks to the amazing performance of its goalkeeper, they may not be so lucky next time.
Liverpool's biggest problem was that they couldn't score and no matter how good they were, you don't have a chance to win the match after failing to score Smiley
Liverpool did everything they could to score but their finish couldn't beat Courtois. Shots outside the box were also not what I expected as almost all of them missed the goal, but I appreciated the effort Liverpool put in that match as they didn't give up on going all the way to the end.

Real Madrid's quality is actually still below Real Madrid in Europe, that's a fact that can't be hidden. Of course Liverpool have a chance to beat Madrid, but what is clear is that Real Madrid are far more experienced than them. If the two teams meet again, then I think Liverpool will still lose with the strategy and experience that Madrid have so far.

I doubt they will lose, two games is definitely enough for them to be neater in defence and stronger in attack next time, although they were already strong in attack. About Courtois - it was luck, I can't say he saved the team most of the time, but many moments were not saves but just luck, Liverpool were much stronger than Real Madrid, I think that's a fact

Firstly, Real Madrid scored two goals, but one was canceled due to a fake offside position. Secondly, a large number of shots often indicate that the team is unable (unlike Real Madrid for example) to bring the attack to a really scoring situation. A weak poke right at the goalkeeper is formally considered a shot on target, but in fact it is not dangerous. Liverpool landed just a couple of really dangerous shots.
Fake offside? The rule is that there has to be 2 players behind the goalkeeper but one of the Liverpool defenders was up higher than the gk and that is why it was offside. That has been the rule for a long time it is not fake. I think it is hard to take as a Madrid fan if they ended up losing the final but they did not. Instead they picked themselves up and won. A couple of dangerous shots is usually what you get in these big games. Real Madrid were more clinical scoring 2 goals from 2 opportunities just 1 of them was offside. If Courtois was not playing unreal on the day Liverpool would have probably scored 2/3. Salah alone probably could have scored 2.

Yee, fake ofside. There is no question of interpreting the rules as you do it because the ball to Benzema came as a result of a rebound. In this case, there is no offside and the goal must be counted. If in doubt, then revisit the Nations League final where Mbappe scored a goal from a two-meter offside, but the ball was counted "by the rebound rule." And then UEFA in a separate decision confirmed that the referee did the right thing.
If we assume that the rules are the same everywhere, then Benzema's goal was not counted unfairly.

Real Madrid only had 3 shots on target in which  one was offside what else will you call such win if not luck? LFC made a total of 29 shots and 9 was on target i will rather give credit to T.courtios not the full Madrid team. Madrid played nice game in the second half but still couldn't make much attempts. If Mane's woodwork and Sallah's attempts had gone in the story we are telling will not be the same
I find it very disturbing that we still have people who think the 2021/2022 UCL Campaign for Real Madrid was just based on luck  Roll Eyes

You are probably the same people who kept saying that Real Madrid won 3 UCL titles in a row because of luck. I get it, the teams you backed didn't win, but It does not mean the other team was just "Lucky"

They worked hard for it.

You simply can't beat the Champions of Italy, Champions of France, Champions of England, Defending Champions of UCL, Liverpool in the same tournament, and then you still call it luck. That's just pure delusion.

Watch their goals again through the whole campaign and tell me it's "Luck" https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/video/0275-154190b2de1a-925fe3fef740-1000--every-real-madrid-champions-league-goal-this-season/

Liverpool performance at the first half of the game was very impressive but in the second half the game became very tough for the both team. They  tried their possible best to defeat Real madrid but all to no avail they were unable to score in the game, giving Real madrid the chance of scoring them a goal to nil which they were not able to equalise. After scoring their only goal Madrid played a very strong defensive game and was able to maintain it till the game was over leading them to lift the UCL trophy this season. Congratulation to almighty Real Madrid.

Since Real Madrid finished the Champions League, I was overjoyed to come say some nice words to my friends who were beating their chest for Liverpool, luckily Vinicius made us proud and Courtois made that possible for them.
The thing is that Liverpool played an excellent game, their midfield was super, in fact, the whole squad played what they are known for but did you see how Courtois was blocking everything that came towards him, he made Real Madrid's win possible, he blocks all the short on target(about 9 short) and Real Madrid had just one which gave them a goal. Didn't you listen to what Klopp said,  when the goalkeeper becomes the person that everyone enjoyed playing in the match then the opponent must have really suffered.

I think you wanted to say that the quality of Liverpool in Europe is still below the one of Real Madrid. If that is the case then i have to disagree because i think that at the moment Manchester City is the strongest team in Europe (and therefore also in the world obviously) and Liverpool is probably the second strongest one. Real Madrid was very lucky in the knockout stage this is a fact for me. Of course it is a huge quality of Real Madrid to never give up and to always believe in yourself even if you are 2 goals down and it is already the 90th minute, but still you also need a huge amount of luck to score two goals in two minutes.
In the final Liverpool was also the better team and i would guess that if the current team of Liverpool would play against the current team of Real Madrid ten times then Liverpool would win 7 or 8 matches out of that 10.

First, Real Madrid is a very experienced team. Their coach Ancelotti is very experienced, at the same time he is very tactful. He knows the weaknesses of the team, notices the weaknesses of the opponents, and builds his match strategy accordingly. Secondly, I would say Real Madrid is very lucky. They did well in the second leg, even after losing the first leg against PSG. Against Manchester City, in the second leg, Madrid scored the first goal in the 90th minute, and they score two more goals in extra time and won. They are very lucky that they won against City. However, Real Madrid played very carefully in the final. They kept their defenses strong and then tried to attack. And won 1-0.
Real Madrid's experience definitely played a big role. Most of those players ended up playing in UCL finals and even won some before, hence they know the stress and the excitement of a finals in UCL and that gives them a good veteran leadership to calm everyone else down and win that game. Benzema may have not scored on this one, but he was definitely a focus point for LFC and that allowed Vini to score as well, or basically anyone else to have the ball a bit more with ease because everyone was looking at Benzema and try to see what he was doing.

I believe that Real always comes back and wins because of this, because even after some players retire, they have others who won an UCL so they almost always have some players who won UCL with the team at all times.

I also saw that Liverpool gave their best against Real Madrid in the Champions League final. But playing well in football won't win if Liverpool
can't score goal, and Liverpool failed to score in 90 minutes of the game. While Real Madrid managed to score one goal, so Real Madrid finally won
the game and became the winner of this year's Champions League trophy. Actually, if it wasn't for Courtois playing extraordinary in that match,
Liverpool would have scored 2-3 goals, so it's no wonder Courtois became the man of the match match. You are absolutely right Real Madrid have
a better mentality and experience than Liverpool, therefore Real Madrid can beat Liverpool and win the Champions League trophy.

It would be very interesting if Liverpool could meet again with Real Madrid in the Champions League competition next season. I want to see if
Real Madrid can beat Liverpool again. But not necessarily Real Madrid can win the game against Liverpool. Because Courtois doesn't necessarily
play well next season, then Liverpool will be more alert and have their own motivation to beat Real Madrid. So if Real Madrid and Liverpool meet again
it will be difficult to predict and of course it will be much more interesting to watch.

It's always the same teams that win this tournament lately. An odd duck is actually PSG along with Manchester City. Both have been regarded as one of the best teams in the world for years. Especially when Messi came to PSG. Then they were the top favorites to win the tournament. However, it goes wrong year after year for both teams. When would 1 of these 2 teams be able to break the negative spiral? I hope for City they get a top striker. Levandovsky eg.
Indeed, there are no surprises in the Champions League competition this season. maybe only Villareal became a surprise team but unfortunately Villareal was defeated by Liverpool in the semifinals. Real madrid became the team that dominated the Champions League in the past few seasons and Real madrid has always made history in the Champions League this season. Manchester city and PSG will probably be the strongest candidates in the Champions League next season because this team is very ambitious to win the Champions League Trophy.
Who doesn't want to win champions league? Every team wants to win but in UCL, Real Madrid is always favorite. Not only this season, Real Madrid is king in UCL and they play really well. At this stage, they have some young players also. I hope another good season is waiting tor Real Madrid.

Having only 3 shots on target and scoring 1 is not what is called luck in football. It depends what the tactics of the team is. Real Madrid knew that Liverpool were battle ready and were not ready to contest for possession or shots. If you are observant you will understand that Madrid midfield collapsed totally in the first half that Benzema had to join the midfield. Their tactics was to  defend and go for counter attack whenever the chances come and the chances didn't come so many times but the 3 times it came they scored 2. It is called class.
Agree with what you say, because actually luck doesn't exist in my opinion.
Despite the number of matches that are sometimes won by weaker clubs for example this cannot be called luck but indeed their tactics and strategies work very well
because indeed this is not a gamble that relies on luck but strategy and hard work to achieve this in order to win and this was proven during this Real Madrid and Liverpool match

I don't know who sold the " Real Madrid are so lucky" idea to everyone. I understand the English media wanted Liverpool to win so bad.  Although Real Madrid do take few shots and score in most games even in the final too. All tactics and formation are valid provided you can win your game. It's not Real Madrid's fault that their opposition will take 10 shots and none will enter back of the net.

It is over now and Liverpool will need to learn their lesson well from this final game. I was supporting Real Madrid for the championship so I'm contented with their making it. On the other hand, their performance wasn't satisfying at all. Liverpool had so many opportunities but they wasted those ones very generously. Courtois saved some incredible shots too but Liverpool's shots weren't very successful in general. Klopp would figure out the real problem in this game I assume and they would return here much stronger next time.

I don't know why Football fans keep saying that Real Madrid didn't play well or were not the favourite. In a final, there are key moments, psychological moments that take a team, where the slightest error can eliminate you and the those who are best prepared for those situations end up winning or reaching the final. It is obvious that some of them didn't analyze Madrid's style of play. They had about 4 chances and throughout the game you could detect some measures of accurate passes, strong counter-attacking, good movement off the ball, exceptional positioning, fluid movement of passes between the players and most importantly discipline and focus. They were so focused on the game that they only need a chance on target to score. Anyone that understands football will never neglect Madrid's teamwork. Liverpool were playing with panic and in a rush to score which allowed Madrid to understand there strategy and loopholes. Real Madrid had to work on that and he were the champions.

I would not say that Real Madrid won the final against Liverpool only because of good luck. Real Madrid's performance in the final was very good. Ancelotti knew very well that Real Madrid would never win if they played attacking tactics against Liverpool. The Liverpool team is much stronger than Real Madrid. So he has been tactful. Defensively played, and tried to score from the counter-attack. They have succeeded. Real Madrid won only because of the beautiful strategy.

Ancelotti is a manager who is very experienced and intelligent in looking at situations.  Don Carlo believes that his squad is not as great as Liverpool.  Ancelotti knows very well how to strategize when facing a team that is constantly attacking and pressing like Liverpool.  But not by piling at the back, but looking for gaps and building a very effective counterattack.  Not only with Liverpool, the strategy set by Ancelotti has also succeeded in overthrowing other great clubs, such as Manchester City, Chelsea, PSG and Inter Milan.  So Real Madrid's success is purely down to hard work and not luck!

Well, it seems we are all aware, if the real hero in the match was Courtois who played well and managed to save a lot of shots. Maybe if Courtois plays badly then we'll see Real Madrid concede some goals even though they defend, right? Although I'm not saying Real Madrid's win is luck, we realize that Real Madrid are lucky to have Courtois who is highly motivated so he can play really well in the final. Because even though they play defensively, when their goalkeeper plays badly, the defense they apply will be useless.
Yes, Courtois was the hero of Real Madrid's victory because of his excellent performance that night. Maybe you're right if his form was bad Real Madrid would have conceded a few goals, but he really did his job until the end of the match. It was a great performance that he will remember later in his retirement.
Thibaut Courtois was the hero in the UEFA Champion's League final, he had an outstanding individual performance. His fantastic performance in the champions league finals denied Liverpool the win many believed they deserved. It's good to see that he was awarded player of the match and very much, deserved.
Yes, Thibaut Courtois is a real Real Madrid hero.  The success of Real Madrid in embracing the Champions League title cannot be separated from the brilliant performance of Thibaut Courtois.  Appearing in goal, he produced stunning action with important saves.  Even though it was Vinicius Junior who scored, Courtois' role seemed more crucial in this match with nine important saves.  Despite being repeatedly attacked by Mohamed Salah and colleagues, this Belgian goalkeeper still maintains the sanctity of Los Blancos' goal.  Salah until Mane was even frustrated because of the difficulty of vibrating Madrid's net even though he had gotten many golden opportunities.

I saw the match, indeed overall LFC players were very good at attacking, defending and setting up, but I saw Real Madrid were very calm, brave one on one, set the tempo, didn't just make any tackles especially in the penalty box and maximized the opportunities that existed and were there. Several successful short passes were made in high pressure, meaning that Madrid were not forced to defend which Liverpool controlled for the whole minute, Madrid did a calculated counter attack strategy, and the calculation paid off.
They knew they couldn't compete with Liverpool in terms of possession, so they sat back, tracked carefully, and created space for Vini and Benzima to counter-attack. It didn't work in the first half because they were outplayed, but they got it right in the second half, the ball possession stuff got into Liverpool players, and they left some spaces at the back, which cost them the game.
Based on Real Madrid's tactics they understand very well that it is unstable if they have to counterattack each other. Then it backfires like Liverpool who attacks all out but we have a goalkeeper who is not easy for Salah to penetrate. The advantage is indeed in the hands of Liverpool, but the execution problem is clear that Real Madrid always knows how Liverpool's gap is wide open.
