It was an incredible result!
Ajax 0-1 Benfica - Benfica resist until the end and are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Ajax is always on top of the game, but Benfica was much better at a strategic level, managing to score at the right time and completely nullify Ajax attacks. I think few believed that Benfica would be able to beat Ajax, but they surprised a lot of people!

It cannot be denied that the finishing from Man United in that match was very disappointing. They had chances, several chances, but ........ zero results.
I am sure that many Man United fans are very disappointed with this result. We also know that Atletico was also not really excellent in playing in that match, but yeah, this is like Atletico Madrid was very fortunate.
And I was also surprised with the lineups of Man United at the first by the coach, it seems ........ hemm

Yep. It is very unfortunate that Man United players cannot make a single goal although they dominated the match. They actually made better stats, 11 shots and 5 shots on target. while Atletico Madrid only made 8 shots and only 3 on target. From the stats, we know that Atletico players have a better finishing accuracy, it was something the Man United players don't have in this match. Well, I don't know what's happening with Man United squad, actually they have some players who have good experience in UCL tournaments. The players like Ronaldo, Pogba, and Cavani must have good accuracy to execute every goal attempt. Sadly, most of them were put on the bench, only Ronaldo became the starter.

If you look at the game, the two clubs attacked each other. Only Atletico's finishing was better. Man United had many chances but the greatness of atletico's goalkeeper and poor finishing cost them defeat.
I was the best man united player before the game, but I was wrong. A win over Tottenham in the EPL didn't make them any better. It's bad, this defeat adds to the poor record of Man United coached Rangnic.

As much as one man can be the difference for both teams, PSG & MUFC, one man cannot always be the difference. This is the champions League and no team is here to joke, to win...you either play together as a team or go home. When playing against an experienced and dangerous team like ATM, you always have to be careful about how you attack and press forward so not to leave your defence wanting. Many people argue that Dalot for MUFC was the reason for the goal for not defending well, but if you watched the game, you'd notice that Maguire moved forward too much and left two players for Dalot to cover, a defensive error.

and Man United's defense is also very worrying. With the elimination of Man United from the Champions League, Man United can focus more
on playing in the Premier League, to fight for the 4th position. Because if Man United fail to be in 4th position, they will not play in the Champions
League next season. Regarding Ronaldo who failed to score a goal against Atletico can not be blamed entirely, because football can't just rely on
one player. Then regarding Messi who also failed to help PSG qualify for the next round, Messi increasingly received a lot of criticism from PSG
supporters, it looks like Messi will think about returning to Barcelona, but don't know if Barcelona are interested in accepting Messi back,
considering that Barcelona have found their best performance without the presence of Messi.

On the other hand, Atletico Madrid has always been a team that is so good at the back while, making proper utilisation of there forward. I never expected Manchester United to go too far in the league but, being kicked out this early was not what I expected too. With one EPL team down, there are still 3 teams to go.

What an interesting night we had! Ajax and Manchester United both failed in their task and have been eliminated from the Champions League. I won't be saying that I'm very surprised by the result in the Manchester United - Atletico Madrid match. Because they had equal chances to advance and Atletico Madrid were successful about it. Ronaldo must be devastated by this result. And the most surprising incident was that Ajax are no longer in the CL now. I was seeing it certain for them to move on in this tournament but Benfica somehow made it.

The era had passed since last season, and now we are just following in their footsteps while waiting for the next super star to arrive, it was a great game, Atletico Madrid stuck to their plan from the beginning to the end, United lost the momentum as soon as they conceded the goal, they were not looking dangerous, they were trying to penetrate from the wing but it wasn't working, but they kept doing it.

Pogba could end up at PSG, whereas Mapbbe's destination is always Real Madrid, until something changes.

Damn, apparently Manchester United have to swallow another bitter pill this season in the Champions League even though they have Ronaldo in their team. Don't know what curse this team received and I really believe it was a very bad result for them.

Ajax also failed in the second leg at home and it was something unlucky for both teams at home today. Benfica who came with all the doubts can finally advance to the quarter-finals this season, it was luck for them.

I don't see it to be ridiculous, at least ATM is a top team in there domestic Laliga and also an elite team when looking at teams in the UCL too. In fact, they are a team capable of winning the UCL at any time. It's just that, it's too early to see Manchester United go. There might be arguably 10minutes on the clock and an even added time for possibilities. Perhaps a saving goal from Ronaldo but, I doubt any of that is going to surface in this game. ATM is a team that has matsersd the act of playing from a defensive side and even though Manchester United might be playing all the game, it's going to be so difficult getting an equalizer in this match.

Atletico Madrid was able to pull the upset, and while fans are not going to be happy to see the Manchester United being eliminated so early in the tournament this is what makes sports fun to watch, if you were to ask me which of those two teams had the best chances of moving forward I would have given my vote to the Manchester United without thinking about it, but we must remember that even if fans prefer teams that play offensively and that score a lot, if a team can play good defense they can win a championship by mastering that style as well, I am not saying Atletico Madrid will win the tournament, but at least they have proven once again that defensive play is still an effective way to win games at the highest levels.

It was a very dull game for a neutral fan,both teams dissapoint, performance-wise,I don't know what you meant by Manchester United had more chance than Atletico Madrid because for me I didn't see any clear chances, I blame the coach for his tactics,he would have stuck his midfield by starting Paul pogba along Fernades and Fred and play either Ronaldo and Sancho or cavani but he chose to go with the inexperienced Elenga and this cost him the game for me.

So Atletico really won this match in the end and is advancing to the next round. Overall i have to say that i think Atletico deserved to go trough in this matchup if we are looking at both legs, they definitely where the better and dominating team in the first leg and today they were playing very efficiently. I also have to say, that i was pretty disappointed with the performance of Manchester United. They definitely were the dominating team today as they had more ball possesion but in the end i never really had the feeling, that they could create good chances. Their only hope today was that they would score after a freekick or a corner kick or something as they could never really put Atletico under real pressure.

Wow, Benfica, just wow. It was difficult to see this coming. Ajax dominated game, Benfica had very few chances and one goal was enough for them. I'm disappointed about elimination of Ajax. This season they had such good them and I expected to see them going far.
MU 0-1 Atletico. It was Atletico at it's finest. We saw Atletico playing their typical football, what doesn't works for them that often in recent seasons in big games.
