Manchester United didn't play well last night and they should still be thankful for drawing with Atletico Madrid, 1-1. Because by this level of performance, they would have definitely lost against a more powerful team. They are just lucky that Atletico Madrid's effort hasn't been much different than them. But it is still doubtful if they can make it to the next round of the CL. They must be aware of a fact that they are going to have to play much better than this in the rematch to have a big chance for eliminating their opponent.

Scoring that goal would make a difference for Manchester United indeed. But there is another truth that the away goal rule doesn't exist anymore. Therefore, only keeping Atletico Madrid away from scoring isn't going to be enough for Manchester United to advance. They will have to win in ninety minutes or finish this after. However I still believe in them to make it as long as they have a decent level of effort in the rematch. The only thing they mustn't do is not to play like this. Even Athletico Madrid have their problems which are shown with their current position in La Liga, they are still have better connection and psychology in their team. I put my belief on them in the second leg, even it will be hold in Old Trafford.
I think Manchester United played quite well considering their recent form and inconsistency. I think the problem with Manchester United is that they are not being able to defend well at all and The Attacks that they are trying to form are not producing the result that they want. I think we all can agree that they looked a little desperate and frustrated in the match against Atletico Madrid.

manchester united has been an inconsistent team in terms of the way they play but they are managing to score goals and try not to concede goals, they are managing to solve the problems they have had since the past but on the other hand I'm talking about Atlético Madrid they are not doing well either they look like that strong team from last season, today they have been losing points with teams from very inferior positions in the la liga, i think manchester could have taken advantage of this opportunity to beat this weakened opponent, but they just wasted that good opportunity, I hope not next game will be different and manchester united will win the game
Ajax got a draw versus Benfica by 2-2 yesterday and they could have defeated Benfica too in fact. But I still don't think that this will cause a serious trouble for them in the second leg.
