Ajax got a draw versus Benfica by 2-2 yesterday and they could have defeated Benfica too in fact. But I still don't think that this will cause a serious trouble for them in the second leg. I have zero expectation like Ajax would have a hard time destroying Benfica home. Benfica did a good job in Portugal and resisted them. But they can't do the same thing by the same effort to Ajax again. Ajax would demolish Benfica like they did to Sporting in the group stage of the tournament.

Tax actually could have won in the first leg at home to Benfica but they had to concede at the end of the match, so the match ended in a 2-2 draw, but this result was really deserved by Ajax Amsterdam considering they played as guests, but to go out alone we can predict that Ajax Amsterdam will win easily and qualify for the last 8 of the European Champions League this season, considering that Benfica is not a team that often surprises clubs that challenge for the European champions league title.

The most games that really attract me for the next leg is
Atletico Madrid vs Man United
and also Real Madrid vs PSG
Two are my favorite games.
Real Madrid's struggle is harder than Manchester United's, they are left behind 1 goal while MU doesn't need it. but of course, both must win with many goals to be safer. On paper, Madrid and MU have superior because playing at home with has supporters behind, but anything change can happen in Champions league, we can see the surprise after all the match was played. the odds are still leaning toward hosting, but Madrid must be careful that a possible draw maybe happen when they do not discipline on defense.
But Real Madrid is not lucky like manchester United although as playing home because Real Madrid need to win above two goals and Manchester United just winning only despite how many goal scoring keep have bigger chance qualify to next round. Madrid have hard way how ca defeat PSG more than 2 goals if want get back UEFA Champion League trophy in this season after missing almost three years when Zidane era as last time for Real Madrid become the champion. I think still have chance but looks not easy how can defeat PSG although have advantage playing home.

I think the only team that is comfortable now is Manchester City. How could it not, they are already 5 goals ahead of Sporting. And in the second leg I see the impossibility that Sporting will be able to come back and turn things around from Manchester City.

Compared to other teams, Man City is the calmest facing the second leg of the Champions League, because they are already winning 5-0
on aggregate. Moreover, the second leg match will be played at home to Man City, it makes it impossible for Sporting to qualify for the next round.
Most likely Guardiola will rotate players and save some of his main players when facing Sporting in the second leg. Because Man City must maintain
the fitness of its players, so as not to experience physical fatigue, because Man City's position in the Premier League is not yet safe. Man City are
only 3 points ahead of Liverpool who are in second place, so if Man City lose points there is a possibility that Liverpool will replace Man City.
In addition, Man City also still has to play in the FA Cup, so it's best if Man City don't field all of their main players when they face Sporting
in the second leg. Even though Man City didn't field all of their main players, I still believe Man City will beat Sporting.

A tie between ATM and United could be something very great, I mean it means that United actually got a tie at Madrid and that is a great thing. Now they are going to back to Manchester and that is going to be a lot better for them. I am not saying that we are going to see a win from United but I would say getting a tie at an away game is better than getting a tie at the home game and that means ATM is at a worse situation right now then United.

I would guess that if United managed to get a tie at the away game then it should be easier for them to get a win now against ATM at their home game. This is not guaranteed but it is definitely a better situation to be in.

What will be an interesting match in the second match is Manchester United vs Atletico Madrid. The battle is still going on here.

I expected Chelsea to win easily against Lille and result-wise they did, but the game was more open than it looks at first glance. I was watching it because Liverpool play Chelsea in the cup final on Sunday and I wasn't impressed with Chelsea at all.

I feel they are in a downward spiral, they allowed Lille to arrive into dangerous zones quite often and couldn't keep possession well enough. They also had Kovačić and Ziyech come out with injuries so it remains to be seen whether they will be ready for the weekend.
For the Chelsea game against Lille, you can't blame Chelsea for not doing well because they've gotten to the middle of the season, when fatigue hits the team, and that is exactly what's happening to Chelsea at the moment, but yet, they are still winning matches and are still doing well.

And for the match against Liverpool by weekend,it's really going to be a tough match in deed, because Chelsea will not want to Loose to Liverpool, and vice versa. But I predict  a draw.and Liverpool winning the  on penalty shootout.

I just found out about this, this means if it's a draw again at old Trafford, there will be extra time and a Penalty kick. I think it's good, even though drawing in Villareal's home, MU gives a bit of resistance for the host.
Yes, this new regulation actually gives pros and cons. But imo, this is fair enough to maximize their games even at home or away.
If the result until the extra time is still a draw, it will be a dramatic penalty between Man United vs Atletico Madrid then, then.  Cheesy
I still have no idea which will win, but Man United should have a higher chance to score. But once more, let's see, sometimes, this club also play unpredictably and surprising with some losses Cheesy
For Elanga itself, maybe he will because of his contribution so far. Some predict this in the next leg.
I still think that neither Manchester United nor Atletico Madrid will want to bring the matter to extra time and will try to decide the outcome of the match in their favor in regular time. Moreover, Manchester United will play at their home stadium with the support of their fans, so you can still give MU some advantage due to this factor.

Manchester now have a huge advantage that they can play at home, with the 1-1 score in the bag. That's no guarantee they'll go through, but they're in a good starting position and I think they're heavy favorites too. Atletico are not a strong team on paper, but they have not convinced this season. United not always, but individually United are still far above Madrid. And Ronaldo knows better than anyone how to score goals against Atletico Madrid.

Yeah I thought Madrid was gonna go up 2-1 with that late shot off the crossbar.  Tough draw for them they looked spectacular in the first half.  Think man u definitely has the edge here but any given Sunday.  Who knows will male for an interesting game no doubt.

I think that clubs are still getting used to the new regulations, which equalizes the chances of home and away teams, and now the sports factor comes out more in the first place, and not who was more lucky to score in an away match. I'm still not sure about the outcome of the confrontation, because in the first half Manchester United was not quite convincing.

I think there is a big chance in Benfica-Ajax match to be more than 2 goals. I like how Ajax plans its ,,open'' tactic- They are experts in performing long passes, therefore I'm waiting for goals from Haller and genuine Tadic with head.

They really did it. Haller and tadic scored goals as It was anticipated for me. It was easy match for prediction.

They took the lead quite convincingly early in the first half which made them relax a bit but this had a pretty bad impact because gradually Benfica found their rhythm in the game which made them play better from the first half. And as a result, they scored 2 goals in return.
This is clearly a loss for Ajax even though they are playing at home but still it is very bad when they can actually maintain the advantage

I didn't expect Ajax Amsterdam to destroy Benfica to be honest. They might have been the better team, but for teams like Ajax it often turns out to not be that easy to play against Benfica in Portugal in a home game. I know Bayern Munich tore them apart a while ago, but Ajax isn't Bayern Munich. However, I don't really see a big chance for Benfica to a actually beat Ajax in the second leg. They are in top shape in their home stadium and Benfica would need a good portion of luck to eventually win that game.

Its always difficult when you are playing an away game, especially with such a heated stadium. Benfica was were really good and you could feel the atmosfere . But i think Ajax at home will seal the deal and win the match and go into the next round. Ajax is one of the best teams for me in Europe with their gameplay

There are some draw aggregates so far in the first leg.
The next leg will be started next march. This will be very interesting to see some expected clubs to play.

But at least, in the next leg, the game will be at Ajax's home. This may have a bigger chance for them to have more motivation. But, if they are under pressure, they may lose their chance again. Benfica is also not an easy team to defeat, be wise to be more careful

Atletico Madrid has shown equal performance like Man Utd. Man Utd has been performing much better in the recent matches and since both are best performers, we can expect a challenging win or a draw. The win probability has almost given 34 plus to each team and draw percentage is almost close to 32 percentage. So its going to be really interesting and a tough match between both. Expect a good play from Fernandas and C Ronaldo as well.
The result of the Atletico Madrid vs Manchester United match was not what I expected because I expected Atletico Madrid to win the match. The first half went according to plan where Atletico Madrid managed to make the Manchester United defense fail to block Felix's header, but luck in the second half was in Manchester United's favor where they managed to make it 1-1.

The second leg will be much more intense than the first as Atletico Madrid and Manchester United are both eyeing wins to qualify. Great opportunity for Manchester United to win, but Atletico Madrid is not a team to be underestimated.
But if we look at this match, Atletico were actually quite cornered, especially after Felix scored a goal and they were forced to defend continuously even though they were quite good on the counter-attack.
I think this is quite good even though I didn't bet for both teams, but as for later in Leg 2, of course, MU will benefit greatly because apart from playing at home, they will definitely use the same strategy to lock up the Atletico players.

Interesting score lines being recorded this far from various games... For example Barcelona proving to be more superior over Napoli is something i didnt expect as i wasn't sure if these guys are finally playing as a team. But otherwise Barcelona so far are holding their lead.

Other game that i didnt anticipate to be below par is the Borussia Dortmund game... these guys seem to continue on a bad run when it comes to champions league football which they struggle alot hope they win convincingly.
