I really hope that we can take control of Omicron variant also until the last 16 round starts. Because the virus has started to dominate various sports again and football is one of them now unfortunately. We already see in big leagues that many players started becoming ill due to covid-19 and many games have been postponed so far. Inter Milan is the Serie A champion and now they are the league leader. They will the tough challenge for Liverpool somehow. I beg to disagree. I don't think Inter has big chances to get a positive result against a Liverpool team if they play with full strength. I don't even see Inter drawing the first match on Giuseppe Meaza. I think Liverpool will win both encounters. Liverpool is levels above Inter and all Italian teams for that matter. We have seen how Italian teams played the group stages and what they were capable of delivering. Milan vs Liverpool for example. Juventus barely won their home game against Chelsea, but got destroyed in London with 4 conceded goals. Napoli and Atalanta didn't even reach the knockout stages despite their attractive style of football. Even in the Spanish championship, Atletico concedes more than one goal in one game - this season their main feature (defense) is not yet as good as usual. In the Champions League, they conceded 5 goals in two matches with Liverpool, United are certainly far from Liverpool's effectiveness in attack at the moment, but we can see the "strength" of Atlético in defense from these results.
