The odd do not necessarily mean anything. If we remember Europa League recent final Manchester United was at 1.90 odd but the game was won from Villareal with odds over 4.5 although through the penalties and that means that the odds that really won was the draw at almost 3.8 odd.Tonight is just a game and although City is the stronger team in a single game anything can happen and even Chelsea can win the game.Chelsea has a bit more of experience when it comes to Champions League finals so this is in their advantage tonight.

Sure, I agree that the odds don't mean a lot by themselves. What I was trying to say is that these odds look great to me because I'd take City in a CL final at 2.00 odds even against much better teams than Chelsea.

Chelsea has CL experience as a club, their current team doesn't really have any. They are mostly young and still inexperienced at this level - which can sometimes be a bonus as well. But I'd say experience is on City's side.

It's 1 game and anything can happen in football. But it would really surprise me if City dropped the ball tonight.

Yeah, the odds on Chelsea are really high. My local fiat bookie has them over 4.50 for a Chelsea win.

I still think I will take the 1.90-2.00 offered on a City win, Guardiola has waited so long for this, they are individually a much better team, they have more depth and tactical options and have shown in the last few years that they are the best team in world football.

Chelsea was really bad before Tuchel and that was like half a year ago, and even with him they lost the FA cup final to Leicester and then the deciding game for CL qualifications against Aston Villa.

I feel City are the strong favorites tonight.

Michael Owen thinks that Man City will actually lift the Champions League trophy. Owen thinks The Citizens will take revenge for their defeat in domestic competition.
well Owen, as a Chelsea supporter I appreciate your prediction, but see tomorrow how Chelsea will lift the trophy and make you cry Cheesy

This makes you  sound biased, are you a Chelsea fan?

I hope these Chelsea boys are ready because  this will be a long day for them  no two ways about it!

Not forgetting a revenge match which should be interesting to watch as city will be out guns blazing.

Prediction: Manchester City 3-0 Chelsea

Most of them are relying on the fact that Chelsea defeated Man City twice this season so they believed the odd still favors Chelsea wining today's match whereas I don't think this very possible, the opportunity of lifting UCL trophy had eluded Guordiola since he became the manager of Man City after several attempts but alway defeated in the Semi-final stage I don't think there is any room for complacent today for Man City they will go out and attack with full force fire on all cylinder just the way they defeated PSG.

but don't forget that in the same line up in the same year,

out of 4 matches , chelsea won 3 of it .

still don't really understand why is man city is in strong favourite here.

Who wants Extra Time tomorrow ? What would be entertaining to watch and actually there is a slight opportunity to have this is if Chelsea manage to score first, because if City scores first I think they will score again as Chelsea will need to attack. Anyway, I'm going to take draw because I'm a neutral fan on this game so I'm just gonna enjoy football and hope for a good show between the teams.

This is the first Champions League final for Manchester City.
Admittedly, the fact was new to me. Can't believe that this is really only the first Champions League final for ManCity. If you think about how much money they have invested in the last 10-15 years, with the main goal of winning the CL, then that is really a poor performance.
It a dream come true for Man City despite all the money spent back then and by looking online for people predictions about the tomorrow final alot of people believe this is a winning game for Man City which I also support it and i will be glad if they win cause I was hoping Pep will give the club a new record.
Yes, there is no problem with money being spent because the UCL final is the final that all football players dream of possible. So yeah, it doesn't matter with the money spent because City are a big team that has grown bigger so far after all, so there is no problem with money for a team as big as City. With them continuing to be successful and being at the top, then it will all provide many advantages and benefits can be obtained in many sectors.
Not everything in this world is decided by money, but still money decides a lot Wink I am not sure that without the previous generous cash injections, Manchester City would have been so competitive and stood one step away from winning the Champions League title, another question is that you need the patience of the management, faith in the result and banal luck. Remember the situation with Chelsea, when Roman Abramovich's colossal spending on the club did not lead to a win, and the desired victory occurred in a season when this victory was not particularly expected. A similar situation is happening with Paris Saint-Germain, when all this money spending gave the long-awaited final only last year and still did not lead to winning the Champions League.

Manchester Utd defeat in Europa League then City to lose? I don't think so. Both Manchester's teams to get nothing is unlikely to happen imo. I was feeling that Manchester will be reddish and blueish, well ManU failed me (and my bet), so I am going for City. I will see the first minutes tho before placing my bet Wink

The Europa League final ended after penalties. I think we could see the same here in the Champions League also.
It is possible but it seems to not happen. Even if both Man City and Chelsea have good defenders, I am sure they will surprise one another in the final match. Man City has better midfielders, I think Man City will be more aggressive to play. So, I am optimistic that Man City can score more than 2 goals in that match and win the UCL title.  Smiley

If Manchester City manage to use their influence in the game, then it could be not very likely for us to see penalty-shootouts. Chelsea will have a counter-attack football I guess. They are really good at it but not good at finishing too much.  Grin  If Werner played now like he was at Leipzig, things could have been much different. I wonder whether Chelsea will manage to resist Manchester City in 90 minutes.
It will be very difficult for Chelsea to resist Manchester City. Because Manchester City's midfield and forward lineup is very strong. At the same time Chelsea is more adept at counterattack. So, if Chelsea can resist Manchester City and put their counterattck tactics to good use, the match will be much more competitive.

So it was not the time to win for the previous 10-15 years and now it has reached the top with a better game so even winning the CL for me will be easier to achieve with Pep Guardiola.
If the previous year was bad then do it now, the chances are much better, I'm sure Mancity will focus more on this main game, the title must be achieved this season so that it will motivate the next season to become a candidate for the CL final.
What is clear is that we will see what happens tomorrow and the ball can win anyone round.

Life, Love and Laughter...
If the game is extremely balanced, over the 90 minutes. And then in extra time, there are also no goals.
Who do you think wins on penalties?

Man City has one of the best goalkeepers in the world, will it be an advantage in this scenario?

Statwise for the last couple of months or so Mendy is better and could be considered a top 3 goal keeper at the moment.  Before anybody laughs, Trofo and coinlocket I know you’re there prolly smiling as you read this, I said ‘statwise for the last couple of months.’.

You can't do analysis that way.
In the last 10-15 years, Real Madrid and Barcelona have practically controlled the competition. In the last 10-15 years, Real Madrid and Barcelona have practically controlled the competition. Only Bayern and Liverpool managed to break this winning streak, of the Spanish teams.

That is why, despite having made large investments, it has not been easy to overtake Spain's teams.
