I don't think Manchester City has good defenders. They are good but not at top notch, world-class level.

Don't you have a world-class defense?
They have one of the best central defenders to play in England, Ruben Dias. In addition, he was even considered one of the best players in the Premier League.
They have a good defensive line. It is true that the strength of Man City is the midfield, but he has a good defense.

It is possible but it seems to not happen. Even if both Man City and Chelsea have good defenders, I am sure they will surprise one another in the final match. Man City has better midfielders, I think Man City will be more aggressive to play. So, I am optimistic that Man City can score more than 2 goals in that match and win the UCL title.  Smiley

In my opinion, the match can be decided by key players (Kai Harvertz, De Bruyne) and defensive player like Kante of Chelsea. If Kante has a good match and break the connections between Manchester City players, Chelsea will have better opportunity to win the final and get their second Champions League in history.

With news for the training pre-match, I see Kante is in his good fitness.

The Europa League final ended after penalties. I think we could see the same here in the Champions League also.

If the game is extremely balanced, over the 90 minutes. And then in extra time, there are also no goals.
Who do you think wins on penalties?

Man City has one of the best goalkeepers in the world, will it be an advantage in this scenario?

The Europa League final ended after penalties. I think we could see the same here in the Champions League also. Manchester City are much more dominant but Chelsea will play extra careful against them too.

Let's say we are on penalties, then I'm definitely favoring City. Because Ederson is much more qualified goalkeeper than Mendy. I think he will save at least one penalty. But no one knows what will happen. Maybe Mendy will have much greater peformance on penalties and he will surprise us, who knows.  Smiley

This scenario is highly unlikely, that's not to mean that a draw in 90 minutes is not possible, but a goaless one is somewhat impossible, City score quite a lot of goals, and even though in their last two meetings with Chelsea they have only scored once, I expect them to all come out and attack Chelsea in the final and that will produce goals in my opinion.

But well if the game goes to penalties, it's more or less anybody's game, it's not really about the goalkeepers, but tbh, I would not like to see this game decided on penalties, it would be more interesting if there is a winner in 90 minutes.

So far the two teams have played quite well so that they have been able to reach the final, and of course the final match will be of course the two teams will field their best squad so that in my opinion the match will be quite balanced, I am not sure if the final will end 90 minutes in normal time and if you look at it the quality of the two teams is most likely the game will end in a draw and continue with penalties, it's true as you said if Manchester City has good goalkeepers but you also shouldn't underestimate the current Chelsea keeper, Edou Mendy, even if Edou Mendy can't play later because of an injury he got in the previous match but Chelsea still has kepa arrizabalaga to replace him, but the news circulating says that Edou Mendy is now starting to return to training and that he will likely be played in the final match against Manchester City.

What do you mean by the same thing as the European league final between Villareal vs Man United which ended in a final contest?

I believe both sides will definitely embrace their respective goals. This is a strong balance of the two and Mancity has a faster game and this must be strong in terms of Chelsea's defense while what is needed is a technique where when there is a chance it must be a goal.

The win is sure to happen but not until the extra round.
Yes this will be very different from yesterday's European league final, because after all both City and Chelsea have great attackers who are able to take the opportunity into a goal. Therefore, I firmly believe that the CL final will end and have the winner in just 90 minutes. When it comes to the goalkeeper, I think Edouard Mendy looks fine and there are no problems with him, obviously Chelsea under Tuchel look better. But still, in a CL final filled with prestige, I personally really believe City will still win and I think the score might be 3-1.

Chelsea also has a fast game, but there are problems with completing attacks. Manchester City players are more technical and this gives them a better chance of winning. I don't think there will be extra time in the Champions League final, everything will end in regulation time. And I still think that Manchester City will win. Both teams are attacking type and there is a good chance of seeing attacking football with many goals. Guardiola deserves to win this final, and Tuchel is still very young, and big victories are still ahead of him.

I picked 2-1 for Man City

chelsea had a very strange season and even today i cannot to conform that real madrid has lost against chelsea, but those are the surprises of the champion league and that is why for this chelsea game - City I still don't think it will be a game easy for City and chelsea can still surprise and win the game, everything will depend if chelsea's defense is too strong or if it is weak, because if chelsea has a strong defense then chelsea can win that game. I like City and I'm hoping that City will win this game, but its that Chelsea plays in a way that can surprise and win
Yes, it seems that from the defense side it will be the main thing for the two coaches who must be able to put forward a defensive strategy, because both will rely on dynamic counter attacks when opportunities arise.
and seeing the journey of the two teams, it is evident that both Man City and Chelsea have gone through difficult times to reach the final, and it looks like the last duel of the two teams is believed to be fierce and tough in the first half. and I can't wait to watch it.

Thinking about the finals gives me a mini festivals, I'm seeing Chelsea winning it in 90 mins since they have consistently played better when labeled as underdogs. I'm trust with Pep and Man City best goalkeepers. Here's my concern does Pep brings the same squad that eliminated PSG?

I know this isn't the place for Conference League discussion but since someone brought it up today I saw the prize money structure. More money for Europa teams (less prize pool but less teams also so bigger cut) and then now millions also for Conference group winners. Total can be 9 milllon euros for Conference League same as Europa. Maybe even we will see more teams fight to qualify for Champions League and don't mind to drop to Europa or Conference?

Oh and welcome Villareal:)
It is amazing for villarreal's journey this season, even though in the laliga standings they are in seventh place, but Viillarreal, who won the 2020/21 Europa League, immediately got the right to appear in the main round of the Champions League next season.
In other words, Villarreal immediately moved up to two classes, from what was supposed to take part in the qualifying play-off round of UEFA's third tier competition, the UEFA Conference League, to go straight to the Champions League, and with the managed to get the trophy european league, this certainly strengthens Unai Emery as one of the European league specialist coaches, and of course it's worth looking forward to how far Villarreal's journey will go next season in the Champions League.

Villarreal has finished a season of extraordinary. Although they are inactive in La Liga, they are performing well in the Europa League. Defeating a strong opponent like Manchester United is not an easy task. Hopefully Villarreal will qualify to play in the Champions League and improve and strengthen themselves next season.
Apart from Villarreal's victory over Manchester United on penalties, they deserved to be champions because of their cohesiveness in play and discipline, and besides that Villarreal won 1-0 over Manchestar United thanks to Gerard Moreno in the 29th minute even though it ended 1-1 and ended on penalties.
and to welcome the Champions League next season it looks like Villarreal will strengthen the team and fix its shortcomings by Unai Emery who led Villarreal to win the European League this season.

Chelsea might be getting one in on the counter during the first half and City getting the other two at the second half for the win.

The key that must be taken is to turn off Kante. In the Tuchel era, Kante's role became irreplaceable. City must be able to escort him so as not to move freely. Guardiola must be vigilant, even though I myself won the city, this match could be like the European League final.
City must understand that Chelsea's counter-attack is very effective at the end of the season. Chelsea can win without holding a lot of the ball.

Can't wait for the final really, I'm all set with 4 good friends we'll be having a poker party before the game and  then we'll eat some nice thai food and watch the match. We have 4 different bets for the game (four different correct scores) and who gets closer to the final result chooses who's gonna pay dinner for all.
I picked 2-1 for Man City
It's a really fun bet that I often do with friends when there is a final, and my friends and I start betting an hour before the game starts and the shuffling system and if the score is right he's the lucky one and wins the bet.
I'm also looking forward to the Chelsea vs Man City final which I will watch with my friends, and 50% of the winning stake will go to those who need it and 25% to the winners and the rest to have fun together.
I wish I was a winner, and bets like this are often done with friends when there is a final and no one chooses the team because of the shuffling system and it's a lot of fun.

Same here.  Chelsea might be getting one in on the counter during the first half and City getting the other two at the second half for the win.  I could also see more than 3.5 corners for each team, I could see Jorginho getting a booking.  Try using all that info at sportsbet.io’s bet builder.  You get around 21 odds.  Grin
