I hope that today we will see a great game of Athletico Madrid, where they can beat Chelsea in the away match! I bet on Athletico to win...I think that they should respond to the previous defeat! Cheesy
👍 you don't see many ppl here backing Atletico very often. I'm also waiting to see another team waving the spanish flag in the quarter finals.

as for bets, other than adding atletico ML to a ticket (which i won't cos it'll be biased), i can't find a line to throw some money on. They failed to have shots on target at home, they gave up completely on ball control and knowing Simeone they'll prolly go for the same gameplan today + counters, and they looked a bit off in the local league last saturday...maybe total booking points? Atletico does have a high avg of cards per game this season (i think 3+). GL in your bet

Bayern Munich and City are the great candidates to win the champion league.
I hate City lol
They are going to win this year's EPL, they have very good chance to win CL too. Last night I was watching the match and all I was doing is holding my breath for City not to score a goal. Anyway, Liverpool is in the next round to. Let's just hope that we don't slip from there. We have no chance in EPL, at-least we can consolidate us by winning CL 🤣

Not sure if I'll even watch anything today. Bayern - Lazio will be one-way game, and Bayern already has 4-1 from the 1st game.

Chelsea has a really good result as well but I think Atletico has a chance. Not really tempted to watch because I expect it to be a horrible, boring game. I'll probably bet on it though - good odds on a draw.

Well, Atalanta lost over Madrid, so bad for Serie-A. Indeed, in this match Madrid was better than Atalanta both in terms of the team and in terms of game play.

Atalanta wasted some good opportunities that in my opinion could have turned the game around in their favor, but yesterday the Atalanta players were unmotivated and it didn't seem that the Atalanta players wanted to win the game.

I think the candidate for the winner this time
- PSG
- Madrid
- Man. City

Let's see, maybe we have new winner this season

Bayern Munich and City are the great candidates to win the champion league. Real madrid and PSG are not as strong as City or Bayern Munich. I'm just a fan of real madrid but being realistic I don't see real madrid arriving in the champion league final, I believe that in the current situation of real madrid they can lose even against porto.

Chelsea vs Atletico Madrid

I bet in a tie, Chelsea might go to the next rounds. in head to head, Atletico never loses the last 2 games in Stamford bridge. While Chelsea had a problem with Mason Mount and Jorginho absent in this game, it's hard for Chelsea to get the winner, Chelsea might play defensive while Atletico will fight much either.

Obviously anyone who wasn't biased with fair judgement would know how powerful Real Madrid gets when it comes to Champions League matches, yesterday wouldn't be an exception despite their recent decline in form. Hoping to see Chelsea in the next round today, a draw for them will be enough to clinch them onto the next round. Manchester City showed how hungry they are to test the European glory; their dominance isn't just on the domestic league. Hoping to see them in the final against PSG or Bayern.

Even those with bias wouldn't have given Atalanta much of a chance before the round, but seeing how they actually had more chances in the first leg, and seeing how Real managed to somehow score 1 with a depleted squad, I don't think it would have been a bad bias to say Real were in danger.

But yeah, I agree, teams with experience do better, I keep saying that.

Hoping to see Bayern in the final, and any team which is hungry. City look great as usual and PSG too but they somehow lack that kind of hungry look I like to see in teams:)

Lack of experience in Champions League!
This is what happened yesterday between Real, which has won the highest number of cups so far, and Atalanta which evidently still need to get a sense of what's like to play big teams in the final stages.
I enjoyed the game and I won my bet, I had no doubts that RM was going to win the game.

The match was very close when it comes to the statistics actually. But Real Madrid were the side that made a very good use of their goal chances and finished Atalanta home 3-1. Benzema and Ramos both were injured in the first leg but they have come back and each of them scored a goal last night. And I must admit that I enjoyed Muriel's free-kick goal also.  Grin
I am a bit disappointed by Atlanta, expected that they have enough power to at least make Real Madrid sweat a little. As mentioned before experience matter a lot in these games and there are very few teams with more experience than Real, if any.

Atalanta could also be pissed on referee and VAR calls. That red card from first game would have been yellow if it happened for Real and also this penalty yesterday looked a bit off. I am thinking the foul started outside the box and that should have been a free kick.

No matter, Atalanta scored that one goal and I had both to score on my ticket so all good here  Grin

I have a feeling that Real Madrid or Man City could be out from UCL tonight.
most likely it would be Real Madrid. No statistic attached, just feeling.
but, Atalanta won against Liverpool in an away match. remember?

Totally agree with you that the stats seem to side teams like Atalanta or even Monchengladbach (that they can win 1 game in a few at least) but I think last night two things happened,,, City deployed their unstoppable attack and kept their form running, and Real brought up their experience and showed what it means to be a veteran in this competition.

Benzema the underrated is finally gaining recognition!

Yesterdays matches sadly went as expected from the view of a neutral viewer. It was clear after 10 Minutes that Gladbach would have no chance to advance to the next round because ManCity was just to strong for them.
An absolute underdog that is completely out of shape for a few weeks now against the favorite that is in great shape is just not a good starting point for an exciting match.
Bergamo played better than Madrid in the beginning but they didn't score an early goal. Then madrid scored and the game was also pretty much done.

Congratulations on losing your money in advance, Athletico Madrid were lucky Chelsea didn't 5 against them in the first leg, Chelsea dominated the game from the first half till the end of the game, Athletico had few shot on target in the encounter, the way Chelsea plays it's very difficult to have a shot at their goalkeeper, the defence is very compact, the highest Athletico would ever see here is a draw. Chelsea is likely to win again, Tuchel is unpredictable, we may see the likes of Silva in the starting eleven today.
It's true that Chelsea's Tuchel has showed a great sense of solidity and defense-wise it looks a completely different team from what we saw with Lampard.
However, the colchoneros will play their cards, I'm sure, and I wouldn't call this over just yet.
This is gonna be a great match and if I have to think of an end result 1-1 might be it.

Real Madrid always have something about them when it comes to the champions league. They don't leave any stone on turned, they are always about the winning and as such, it wasn't a surprise to watch them triumph over Atlanta today like there were just a work over team.
Manchester City on the other hand was a no question game and they did themselves, the couch and fans proud by winning the game without even conceiving a goal.

@Mr.right86 it’s an open secret that Real Madrid loves winning the champions league, hence I don’t think that anyone will be surprised by their victory last night. Furthermore Manchester City are looking very strong too in this league, and do you’ll think that they can win the Premier League and Champions League at the same time?.

The UCL is Real Madrid's best league. They take no chances when it comes to UCL games. It only takes a team like Bayern Munich and sometimes Fc Barcelona and Manchester City to pose some serious threat. There is very little to what Manchester City can do though. I won't be surprised to see Real Madrid in the UCL finals this season because, the Laliga league is already lost to them and the UCL is where there prestige lies at the moment for a season glory.
The EPL teams looks more like average teams in the UCL though, I'm still believing a win or at least a good game from Chelsea today. They've got the first match advantage and all they need now is to hold Atletico Madrid down till the final whistle and its very possible with the ATM team not in a strong form.

Really, you didn't mentioned Bayern? C'mon, I hope you just forgot them Cheesy.
My favorites is Bayern and City. PSG kicked out Barca, but still, they didn't convinced me, especially how they played in 2nd leg.
Real - I don't know, maybe I would put Liverpool in front of them.

There is no favorite for me, this season is hard to predict. Not only in Champion League but almost in all Soccer Leagues in this world especially the Top Leagues. I have to say that all team who goes to the 1/4 final has the same chance to win the Trophy. Favorite by bookies is still Manchester City, Bayern, PSG, and Liverpool. If I have to choose from those 4 teams, I'll go for Bayern. Outside from those 4 teams I'll go for the underdog "FC Porto" Smiley

In fact, from the start of the match, Atalanta had seen a lot of trouble with Real Madrid, which dominated the match. So Real Madrid deserved to win
and it is according to predictions of many people Real Madrid who will qualify for the next round. It is very regrettable that Atalanta have to follow
in the footsteps of Juventus who also have to leave the Champions League after losing on aggregate goals to Porto. I still believe that the one who
will win the Champions League this season is still Bayern, especially since Bayern's performances are very consistent in the Champions League.
