Congratulations to olympiakos on their Victory as it's a well deserved victory but I feel kind of sad for the Italian team though because it's not an easy experience to have lost two finals back to back with so much effort and time invested to get that there. But what has happened has happened so all what they could do now is to just try their best and see if they can actually break the bad luck spell of losing finals but even that is not easy as they would have to repeat all the hard work or even put more into it to achieve this again and hopefully not lose it again the next time.

No need to feel sad for them since this is football and the best man wins. I watched the game and honestly, the both sides were not as impressive as I expected and given the fact that Fiorentina are a bit stronger in their league, I felt they will press more, but instead it was just two average teams making unnecessary mistakes and even though they had equal shots on target, Olympiakos did the necessary to carry the title and that was to produce a goal.
Fiorentina should have prepared harder to ensure that what happened last season didn't repeat itself but it's as if they didn't learn their lesson. If not for El kaabi's goal, they were prepared to take it to the penalty shootout and what was the assurance that they would win?
If you ask me, Fiorentina had more opportunities to take the lead and even did so if not for the goal to be ruled out for offside, but what then stopped them from getting another?

Yeah I understand, when it comes to the final both teams will play more carefully but initially I predicted there would be one goal in the first half which would trigger a second goal in the next half but unfortunately my prediction was wrong, Fiorentina fired 17 shots but only 4 were on target meaning Olympiacos knows how to play against Fiorentina. From the start I noticed that Olympiacos was playing well against strong teams Aston Villa, Fenerbahce and today Fiorentina it was proof that they really couldn't be underestimated. Actually, in the local league Olympiacos is not too impressive currently they finished in 3rd place it's just that they have one great player, he is Ayoub El Kaabi.

You’re contradicting your self mate, you can’t say Chelsea deserved it more because the season hasn’t even kick started to even see which team performance will make team to deserve it. Chelsea will be playing their first edition on this competition and winning it will definitely create history for them as the first club to have all the three major European trophies in their locker. But I think Chelsea would be more concentrated in the competitions than this particular one.

Really a fierce and tight match, Olympiacos implemented a defensive game so they finally scored a goal in the 116th minute, Fiorentina tried their best but they couldn't do much because Olympiacos' defense was really strong. I think this is the second surprise in European competition after last week's Europa League and today's Conference League when the favorite team is defeated in any way. It's clear that many people favor Fiorentina because they are better than any side but this is the final result Olympiacos is the winner.

Previously I placed a bet on both teams to score because I know both teams have the ability to do it, unfortunately there were no goals in regular time both play defensively. If Fiorentina win then they will get a ticket to the Europa League, right? so Fiorentina lost all tickets for European competitions next season.

Funny is that, the same people tipping Chelsea to win the conference league next season are the same set of people that tipped Liverpool to win it as the biggest team in the tournament at the time (not even Leverkusen came close in those predictions). Turned out both Liverpool and Leverkusen didn't end up winning it. Chelsea might be one of the biggest teams in the conference leagues but if they underperformed, they'll definitely lose the tournament. That's for sure.

I knew Olympiakos was going to win this final. When I saw their performance against Aston Villa and they knock them out from the competition that was when I realized that Olympiakos was going to lift this trophy. They came to England and gave Aston Villa the game of their life, so it's just as if my dream came through. Another thing that's making me happy with this win is that I'm also smiling to the bank because I made a little winning from my bet, because I placed a bet that Olympiakos was going to win the europa conference league. A big congratulations to them, after all the sacrifice they have put in all season it finally paid off and I can feel the joy in the faces of their fans. It's a big win for them.

Congratulations to Olympiacos winning UEFA Conference League but also congrats for them being the first Greek team to win an European competition title.
Unfortunately Fiorentina lost again another final match, that's the sixth thought. I was afraid that this will happen eventually after seeing 0 - 0 by the end of the second half.. After all, penalties weren't necessary and Olympiacos was able to finish it by the end of the second extra time.

This is one of the best finals so far this season because the two teams appear to be very mindful of themselves in terms of attack, defense and their performance in general, 0:0 after 71 minutes as at when this post was written and there is still no sign of goal from the two teams and yes we may see a ft 0:0 at the end of the game because the two teams aren't relenting in defense. The two keepers have make notable saves in this game making it t difficult the teams to score but the performance of Fiorentina looks better in the second half because they have made more goal attempts than Olympiacos but the Olympiacos team is enjoying more ball possession in the game. We hope to see one of the team getting a late winner in the game otherwise we may have to see them play extra time before the winner will be decided.

The half-time break is over and the two teams are currently very evenly matched in all aspects, goals, possession and even shots on target, both teams seem to have indeed looked safe play and careful enough that indeed the first half looked very boring and did not look like a final at all in my opinion, I think if playing like that it is certainly not impossible if the winner in today game will probably be decided on penalties, previously I think today final will be very exciting but throughout the first half the game was beyond the expectations we expected from the final.

I hope in the second half we will see both teams increase the intensity of their game, so that they can indeed destroy each other and of course it will give us an interesting spectacle today, but until the second half match has entered the 59nd minute, but so far there is no sign that the game will be different from the first half because both coaches do not seem to have significant changes in tactics and strategy right now.

I have seen most people favouring Fiorentina to lift the trophy but I think it isn't going to be that simple. Olympiacos can't be underrated after all that effort. Their performance against Aston Villa blew my mind. Who would have expected that? As a result, why wouldn't they beat Fiorentina too indeed!

However I must confess, it has been the most boring final ever until now. Tongue

As for Chelsea, I agree. It is very early. They are even bringing a new coach, Enzo Maresca. We don't even know what they will do with him. It might have been easier to answer that if Pochettino stayed.

I think you're making the right decision because Fiorentina really had a lucky run until final and I won't be surprised to see them losing back 2 back Conference finals. Also , worth to mention that Olympiakos deserves to play this final and also deserves to win and for the city it will mean a lot as panathinaikos just won Euroleague at basket and I'm sure Olympiakos fans will make a superb atmosphere at their home ground in order to put mega pressure on Fiorentina. Grin

You are very correct, I think Olympiakos are more informed than Fiorentina because even in their league table Olympiakos is in 3rd possion while Fiorentina are in 8th possion in their league table, however looking at their performance in the semi final against Aston villa,although they won them home and away I think is going to be a though match for Fiorentina Tonight.
