With the quality and depth of its squad, Portugal is one of the favorites to win Euro 2024 and is facing the Czech Republic in its first match tonight. The first half ended 0-0, but Portugal completely dominated the match. They created numerous chances and maintained constant pressure on the attack. However, credit must be given to the Czech team; they have put up a strong fight and look solid defensively.
The game is currently one a piece and this Portuguese team is simply on another level although bad luck seem to be on their door step because with the game and attempts they have gotten in this match I feel they should have been two goals ahead by now but for some reason the Czech republic are holding on strong and also looking for that magical break that can shock the Portuguese team.This is a very exciting and tense match. Portugal, which dominated the game, seemed quite difficult to break down Czechia's defense because the Czechia tend to play defensive football and they really put tight pressure on every Portugal player who holds the ball. It was very clear that Portugal was really chasing a win, where they looked very aggressive in the final minutes of the match, and all those efforts paid off in the 93rd minute when Francisco Conceicao managed to score the winning goal for Portugal.
