Yesterday and today I thought I had declining luck. And yes Euro 2024 seems much more difficult to predict. I was initially optimistic about every option I had chosen. But yeah, the results were mostly unexpected. Belgium's defeat was one of them. Well I had too high hopes for that team. Because I think De Bruyne and Lukaku's club will win that match. But well, the result, as seen, turned out to be that Belgium had to suffer defeat by Slovakia. Lukaku seems to have lost his sharpness in the Belgian national team. He is like a different person to the players who play for Roma. In Roma Lukaku was so sharp and reliable. But in the national team itself I saw that Lukaku was not in his best condition. Yes, this is a disappointing result but yes, this Euro will be more interesting and fierce than usual.

This goalkeeper plays for Real Madrid and his name is Andrei Lunin. Yesterday he played really terrible, but I would not put all the blame on him, because the first and third goals are not his fault, but the second goal is 100% his fault, because he just missed it under his hands.

The Belgian team didn't show awful performance in the match against slovakia. Belgium was in complete control of the game. As far as I can remember, Belgium has been extremely unfortunate due to the fact that two goals were disallowed by VAR. A mistake made by Lukaku resulted in the first goal being disallowed, while the second goal was also getting ruled out by VAR after a hand ball from Openda. If Lukaku did not make an unnecessary move, such as tackling the ball that was heading directly to the back of the net, Belgium might still be able to end the game with a draw. Mistakes by belgium players costed it three points, but they are not playing so awfully. 

Bad in the final settlement with a number of opportunities that attended but failed to become a goal. This was also recognized by Belgian head coach, Tedesco. If a number of opportunities available for 90 minutes with high emphasis made by Belgium players, at least there are goals created.

Sometimes when you see them play you think they are doing it for free, there is no dedication to their national team. The players are not always United, during the last world cup there were many reports in various media that there is disunity in their dressing room. It seems they are yet put that behind them. Losing their first game was a big blow to them I must say because it wasn't expected.

Well they still have their destiny in their hands, they can still go far in this tournament if they can improve their performance, losing one game is not that bad, they still have two games to play. But it would have been better if they won the first game. I remembered when  Argentina lost their first match in the last world cup it was all over the media and people said many damaging things about them, but they came out stronger and went ahead to win the world. Belgium can draw inspiration from them and still have a glorious outing in this tournament.

Why should you be confused, isn't Austria threatening France goal quite a lot and able to match France strength. Even though Austria lost 0-1 to France, they managed to make the French players tired of scoring goals. Not a single French player was able to score a goal in this match and the only goal that occurred was an own goal from an Austrian player. France started the match with the status of the top team, the very unequal strength of the two teams gave more credit to France being able to win the match easily, but the resistance shown by the Austrian players was beyond expectations. France first match did not meet expectations, Rangnick had to look for other alternatives so that France game could develop further.

It is very clear that Lukaku was on the Offside line and it is not surprising that Belgium's play declined when the referee did not approve the goal, maybe it was Lukaku's fault but if he left it is very likely that the ball would have been legal, and Belgium would not have lost any points in the match.  So I hope that in the next match Belgium will be able to get perfect points.

im not also feeling okay with the result from belgium vs slovakia. Slovakia, while not owning the game, but they were able stealing three points from belgium by winning with narrow score. Belgium has delivered very poor performance, although belgium was controlling the entire game.  Two goals by lukaku ruled out by VAR; consequently, the entire players of belgium were feeling so frustrated with it. Additionally, the first goal might not be ruled out by VAR if lukaku was not touching the ball. The second goal was pure openda's fault, because of openda intentionally keep the ball under his control with his hand. The two goals ruled out by VAR has made belgium lost full points.

Public is now blaming lukaku. I must admit, lukaku's fatal mistake was when he made the first goal ruled out by VAR. Lukaku should let the ball gone to back of the net.

Belgium is no longer strong like 4 or 6 years ago but this defeat is still unacceptable for many Belgian star players like Kevin who broke the interview after the match abruptly. They were surprised by Slovakia, got a conceded goal and did not play well in the first half but in the second half, they tried and played better. Unfortunately this match is not for them and they actually deserve a draw at least from domination and opportunities they created in the second half.

France has similar performance like England and Italy, won their matches minimally and faced with pressure from their opponents and luckily ended their matches with three points. Results matter most because 3 points from their first matches will help them more easily to play in next two matches in their group. If they won't improve, however, they will face with more troubles in knock out stage with stronger opponents wait for them there.

Euros open already and we keep our hopes high on our favorite clubs, I'm sticking to France because they're the elite club responsible for the big winnings and their odds have increased steadily.

As for the game, Belgium vs Slovakia, Belgium got unlucky when Romelu Lukaku goals was ruled out and Slovakia gets the lucky odds enough to grab three winning points against Belgium in the first leg of the Euros.

Today was a bad gambling day for me because I expected something different from the matches of Belgium against Slovakia and that between Austria and France. Both are high scoring sides that I expected to deliver as many goals as possible, far different from the result we saw which is just a single goal for each of those matches. Lastly, it was a huge surprise seeing Belgium lose to Slovakia even when Belgium was suggested by many to be one of the favorite to win the tournament.

I was really surprised that Belgium lost their game against Slovakia today, if somebody predicted that Belgium would lose, I would have disagreed because they have top attacking players. Belgium conceded a goal seven minutes started of the game, and I thought they would be able to come back and win. In Group E, I thought Belgium had a chance to top the group table from beginning to end, but they surprised me by losing today. We shouldn't judge them based on their performance in the first match, but Belgium needs to improve in their next match, as they will play Romania, who defeated Ukraine with three goals.

In addition, when two goals from Lukaku were disallowed, I believe that many gamblers were going to be disappointed because they were expecting Belgium to win the game.

A lot of expectations was cut short today, I can't believe that Belgium team couldn't withstand Slovenia today, I expected them to win and even placed bet on them in three different ways, to win either half, win full time and to score over 1.5 goals and they ruined all the tickets, it was so annoying watching them play cause over the years the Belgian team have been dominant in the Euros and winning  against Slovenia shouldn't be a difficult task for them but they lost, so disappointing. Ukraine is not going to be a very easy team for Belgium to beat and they should perform more better than they did today if they want to win that game, I hope they do but I think they'll beat Romania and that should give them a boost when they Ukraine two days later. However I enjoyed watching France play, they deserved the victory and should've scored more goals, too bad their star player Mbappé got seriously injured, I noticed he was bleeding much and I hope it's nothing something very serious that would keep him away from their next match.

I think Belgium was taken by surprised by the Slovakian team. It’s a game where you would expect the might of Belgium to be shown with the likes of Lukaku numbering in the score sheet but no, the Slovakian team wasn’t going to let the best team in their group have such a good head start. This would mean less and less chances for them.
R. Lukaku had some good impact on the game but, the VAR was there each time to disallow both his goals. A couple of well positioned but not so proper taken shots and Martins was there to make himself bigger every time to deny Lukaku of having a goal in this encounter.

Overall Belgium game today was no better than Slovakia and of course this is beyond our expectations, at first I thought Belgium would play impressively because they were playing with the main squad moreover, I still remember how they played in qualifying but unfortunately today Belgium lost. I agree with you, Belgium is not over yet they still have a chance and I can see Belgium being in an easy group yeah at least they can take a place as runners up in group E as long as they don't repeat the same mistakes.

By the way Belgium still has 2 matches ahead against Romania on June 23 and Ukraine on June 26 so Belgium must win these 2 matches if they want to secure the next round and if they only win once then they are not safe, between these two matches, against Romania it is an important match because if Romania win then they will definitely be safe by collecting 6 points.

As an individual spectator of the game, I really lost confidence in the Belgium team during the world cup. I wasn't just impressed because the pressure of Belgium I used to know was not there. Even when KDB gave his honest review of the Belgium team, he said that the squad is not young. And that was true as at the time of the world cup. I didn't watch this first match, I would have checked how young their squad is now.

From the beginning of the Euro, alot of goals came but it seems that the goals have seized coming. England managed to score 1 goal while France was gifted 1 goal through an OG. This means it gonna be a tough and surprising Euro.

Yes I agree with you that Belgium can still come behind to top the group as this is just the first leg of the group stage level, but there is one thing I have observed so far for all the games that have been played so far, those big football Nations that are always good in every tournament, are literally struggling to maintain a win or score more goals, take England vs Serbia for instance, that is a game we would have thought England could have scored more goals but the game ended 1-0 in favour of England, France where only able to win Austria with just 1 goal, these are countries i would have expected more goals from considering the calibers of players they have. anyways it was good to see n'golo kanté win man of the match for the France game against Austria, it has been a while I saw him play.

If I have my way I would have washed off what I mistakenly watched in the game between Serbia vs England, it was 100% boring and looking at today's game that ended  in a 1nil win between Austria vs France, many would have expected a goal fester but in as much as we saw a goal in this game tonight it was fun and interesting.
Austria never let the France team to have all the fun alone but they make sure the heat was on France too. I love their fighting spirit and the manager Ralf Rangnick has really done a great job I must say, as of then I don't see Austria standing toe to toe with the former world cup winners (France). If the Austria side add up a little more work rate I think they might survive the group, they did very well and I must say that on the France national team Kante has been the invincible DM nobody is talking about, he took it upon himself like he used to back in his days with the Blues, he should be given the man of the match for me.

This is just their first game and I think it is way too early to judge them base on this performance today alone, The game is still open and Belgium can still come out top in their group if they win all their remaining matches from here despite that they lost in today's game but the correction may come in their games ahead, and I still doubt Belgium won't qualify for next stage of this competition.
