France were really bad despite winning the match. Even the goal was quite a lucky one as it was an own goal. If France want this trophy they need to perform way better. Because there are already some teams impressing us a lot with their games. Germany for example. They were incredible against Scotland and I just can't wait to watch their next match already.  Cheesy

Those good days are way behind for Belgium. Their qualifiers performance was a deception. By the way how did Lukaku waste this 100% goal chance?? Unbelievable...

Today Group F matches are starting:

Turkey - Georgia
Portugal - Czechia

If we don't see any surprise the winners should be like this in my opinion.  Smiley

You really expect a team that has this guy will perform?

Ukraine is overrated just because they have few players that shine in Europe:

Dovbyk, Girona's striker.
Lunin, Real Madrid's goalkeeper.
Zinchenko, Arsenal's defender.

While the rest of them are just mediocre players that play in their domestic league, same to Belgium, I'd say Ukraine and Norway are nothing different, they have few good players, but they will not win, it's a good moment to bet against them.
Surprises can happen in football and no big teams can avoid bad days for them. Ukraine and Belgium had their bad days in first matches in Euro 2024 but the Euro is still going and they still have two more matches to correct mistakes.

Belgium played not too bad but they lacked of luckiness to at least have an equalizer goal and their players like Lukaku and Doku are responsible for some wasted chances and not best decisions they made like pass or shot.

With Ukraine, they did not play well to get any sympathy for their first defeated match and Lunin with experience at Real Madrid at highest level like Champions League, can do better.
Even though it is full of star players, it is not a 100% guarantee that you will win the match. Because this is EURO where every country has the ambition to be able to show all its abilities on the field. Because it's still early enough so there nothing surprising yet, but that doesn't mean the elite teams can relax because seeing Belgium suffer defeat puts this team in a very disadvantaged position. De Bruyne passes are very good, but if you don't have a striker with good finishing, the result is that Belgium will lose. Lukaku and Doku alone are not enough if they cannot build attacks together solidly. On the other hand, Slovakia only relies on determination to give their best, it doesn't matter if they don't have star players because the most important thing is that they play on the field with teamwork. There are still 2 games left to increase the chances, but the smaller the chances, the more work there is to do. 3 points in a group phase match is a heavy price to pay. After losing 1 match, neither team feels fine.

In the case of Belgium it was just a bad day, and certainly not the best decisions on the part of some players, but everyone can make mistakes. For Belgium, nothing has been decided yet, they will have time to correct the situation. Today we will see what the Czech Republic will be capable of against Portugal, I think that for the Czech Republic this will be the most difficult game in the group, Portugal has always been a strong team, and there should be no surprises here.

I don't think Czech Republic will see one goal today because Portugal are fully balanced in all ways, but if only Czech Republic are prepared for Portugal this season you know it's a game, the strong team can also lose in the hands of the small teams so let's not predict that Portugal will win the match. But I won't lie to you my prediction of today's match is Portugal 5-0 Czech Republic. Lol.

Yes surprises can happen for sure, IMO all three matches from yesterday were surprise results

Romania 3 - 0 Ukraine - maybe not a massive surprise, its just the 3 goals scored without reply
Belgium 0 - 1 Slovakia -  obviously nobody expected this result
Austria 0 - 1 France - a surprise that France could only score once.

Big worry for France last night in the injury of Mbappe, he wont need surgery and they are looking
to have a special mask made for him to get him playing again at the tournament.
Any team is bigger than one player but Mbappe is definitely a big loss while he is out.

France, like England, is one of the favorites of EURO 2024 and like England won its first match 1-0 on home soil. If it hadn’t been for Maximilian Wöber’s own goal, France and Austria might have ended in a draw. The match involving France was as uneventful as England’s, with the most notable incident being Kylian Mbappé’s broken nose. Moreover, there are rumors that Kylian Mbappé may undergo surgery, potentially causing him to miss the tournament.

Today was a bad gambling day for me because I expected something different from the matches of Belgium against Slovakia and that between Austria and France. Both are high scoring sides that I expected to deliver as many goals as possible, far different from the result we saw which is just a single goal for each of those matches. Lastly, it was a huge surprise seeing Belgium lose to Slovakia even when Belgium was suggested by many to be one of the favorite to win the tournament.
Yesterday and today I thought I had declining luck. And yes Euro 2024 seems much more difficult to predict. I was initially optimistic about every option I had chosen. But yeah, the results were mostly unexpected. Belgium's defeat was one of them. Well I had too high hopes for that team. Because I think De Bruyne and Lukaku's club will win that match. But well, the result, as seen, turned out to be that Belgium had to suffer defeat by Slovakia. Lukaku seems to have lost his sharpness in the Belgian national team. He is like a different person to the players who play for Roma. In Roma Lukaku was so sharp and reliable. But in the national team itself I saw that Lukaku was not in his best condition. Yes, this is a disappointing result but yes, this Euro will be more interesting and fierce than usual.
I have also noticed that this year's Euro competition seems a little complicated. Just imagine Belgium losing to Slovakia, I don't their is anyone that saw that coming. Even France almost drew with Austria if not of an own goal by Maximilian Wober. This mean that France could not even score a single goal just like Belgium. During the encounter between Italy and Albania, the later scored first even though Italy later won the match. So, this tournament is one that comes with so much drama and surprises. It just a matter of gamblers adapting to be able to win because the odds are fantastic.

You are not alone my friend. Because I also feel and experience the same thing in my betting these few days. But not everything failed because some of my bets were successful. and I'm sure you are the same. I also favored Belgium but I also lost. And I also favored Ukrainian and I also lost. This is normal. and indeed in Euro matches there are always lots of surprises like this. So I'm not surprised by these results. But at least for today's match I think we will win the bet if we favor Portugal. In fact, I'm sure there will be more than two goals in that match. And I hope both teams score. But if my prediction is wrong again today then maybe I'm also unlucky.

for the Türkiye vs Georgia match I prefer to skip it. Because I'm not really sure about either of them. Even though I want to favorite Türkiye, I'm not sure about my choice.

So far Group E has been the most tense and full of surprises because the two leading countries both lost in their first matches, Belgium and Ukraine.

According to my personal analysis, Belgium will face Ukraine and Romania. I'm pretty sure something like this will happen too. Let's take a look at Belgium's second and third matches. Especially when dealing with Ukraine and Romania. Specifically in the sense that Ukraine doesn't want to lose again, moreover they want to see whether Slovakia can beat Belgium, of course Ukraine also doesn't want to lose a second time. Because Ukraine also doesn't want to play a draw. Just like Belgium wants three points from Ukraine, and Ukraine also really wants three points. What's more, Romania is already in a fun and exciting atmosphere which makes them even more confident. So group E is tight and it's hard to guess who will progress to the next round.

The Belgium vs Slovakia match last night was the same as the Portugal vs Czech Republic match tonight. because according to my analysis, the strength of Belgium and Portugal is the same. And the strength of Slovakia and the Czech Republic is also the same. We'll see if the final score is the same.

A very weak performance from Ukraine and Belgium yesterday, Belgium has been seen as an insider tip for years, but they never bring their theoretical performance to the pitch.

As an Austrian, I would say that Austria deserved a draw against France yesterday, but Austria scored the only goal.  Grin

The Belgian team didn't show awful performance in the match against slovakia. Belgium was in complete control of the game. As far as I can remember, Belgium has been extremely unfortunate due to the fact that two goals were disallowed by VAR. A mistake made by Lukaku resulted in the first goal being disallowed, while the second goal was also getting ruled out by VAR after a hand ball from Openda. If Lukaku did not make an unnecessary move, such as tackling the ball that was heading directly to the back of the net, Belgium might still be able to end the game with a draw. Mistakes by belgium players costed it three points, but they are not playing so awfully.

Belgium team is meant to win the game because they are more powerful than Slovakia but Belgium allowed Slovakia to win them because they did not take all the chances they were having to score. Belgium has always being doing things like this, they have very good players that are playing very well in Europe and other countries that have good leagues. The players perform well for their clubs but when it gets to playing for their country, they do not perform well and I think it might be because of the manager that they have managing the team. Belgium has a golden generation of footballers but they have not being able to win any major trophies and this might be their last chance. They have lost their game against Slovakia but they should play better in the next game to be able to advance in the tournament or they will lose the opportunity to win the Euros with this golden generation.

im not also feeling okay with the result from belgium vs slovakia. Slovakia, while not owning the game, but they were able stealing three points from belgium by winning with narrow score. Belgium has delivered very poor performance, although belgium was controlling the entire game.  Two goals by lukaku ruled out by VAR; consequently, the entire players of belgium were feeling so frustrated with it. Additionally, the first goal might not be ruled out by VAR if lukaku was not touching the ball. The second goal was pure openda's fault, because of openda intentionally keep the ball under his control with his hand. The two goals ruled out by VAR has made belgium lost full points.

Public is now blaming lukaku. I must admit, lukaku's fatal mistake was when he made the first goal ruled out by VAR. Lukaku should let the ball gone to back of the net.

Even if Lukaku had missed that ball, we don’t know what decision the referee would have made, because Lukaku was still there. I think that no one expected that Slovakia would be able to beat Belgium, but I was waiting for unexpected results to start happening. Even during the day I was disappointed with how poorly Ukraine played, it was clear that they interacted poorly from the very beginning, inaccurate passes, and a complete lack of dangerous moments in the attack. And of course, I also expected a much better game from Lunin, very serious mistakes, I can’t even explain the reasons for such a bad game, especially since if I understand correctly, he is now looking for a new club for a transfer, and must show the best at the Euro he is capable...

I could not have predicted that the Belgium-Slovakia match would end with this score. I thought Belgium would win the match comfortably because they were more dominant and had star players. Despite that, they did not play the expected game. The fact that both goals were disallowed by VAR shows that Belgium were a bit unlucky.

Lukaku's performance has been discussed for a long time. I'm curious to see how he will perform in the upcoming matches. Lukaku is a strong player but he doesn't use his strength as much as he used to.

In the match between Austria and France, to be honest, I was quite confused whether in the end Austria was that good or maybe France's performance was less effective because looking at what is happening now, it seems like these two teams are quite balanced, even though Austria is losing quite a bit in possession of the ball and opportunities, but so far France quite difficult to carry out attacks.
Why should you be confused, isn't Austria threatening France goal quite a lot and able to match France strength. Even though Austria lost 0-1 to France, they managed to make the French players tired of scoring goals. Not a single French player was able to score a goal in this match and the only goal that occurred was an own goal from an Austrian player. France started the match with the status of the top team, the very unequal strength of the two teams gave more credit to France being able to win the match easily, but the resistance shown by the Austrian players was beyond expectations. France first match did not meet expectations, Rangnick had to look for other alternatives so that France game could develop further.

The game was on equal ball possession which is 50-50. This shows that Austria strength is equal to France strength. However, France was lucky that Wober caused an own goal with a wrong header, if not it would have being a goalless draw.

Austria played very well in the second half and with all the superstars in France, they could not score any goal themselves. Mbappe lost one-on-one with Austria goalkeeper. It is quite a disappointment to me but they still won the match by luck.

The way I see it, bigger teams will receive upsets from the underdogs as we saw how Belgium lost to Slovakia, Ukraine lost woefully to Romania and the likes of France and England managed to get a goal from teams they would normally dismantle. Let's say I'm being too hasty in my take considering the tournament is still in it's early stages but I know these bigger teams won't find it easy to beat the smaller teams like they were doing before.
Many fans blamed Romelu Lukaku for Belgium's loss yesterday but personally, the fault should go to all the players. I think it's high time a team stops looking for whom to take the fall when they don't get the desired results. Supposing they had won, will his error be considered? Granted, he made mistakes, but they had plenty of chances to turn the game around but I feel they were more relaxed and felt they could turn the events of the game in their favor but they didn't know Slovakia had other plans.

Sorry for not being lucky with your prediction bro, but to be frank, this particular Belgium team that I watched yesterday has practically past their best, I said so because since Eden hazard left the national team, they have been really poor and their quality of play has really declined, even the few matches they played before they came into this euros competition, they weren't as convincing as of the days of Eden hazard.

And as for Romelu lukaku, I was really shock by his poor performance yesterday because I believe that him and kelvin de bruyne was their most experience players, so if the people others are looking up to can't perform, who then can perform? It's was only doku that caught my attention in that Belgium national team yesterday, but his decision making in the final third needs to improve if he is going to improve further, in the career ahead of him.

Lastly, that lost yesterday to the Slovakians has really put them into a very difficult situation whereby they must win the remaining two games for them to qualify, and to be sincere, they are just lucky because their group is not as difficult as some other groups, so I believe that if improvement is made in the final third, they will definitely qualify out of this group.
Well, the condition of the Belgian national team is not what was expected of them. They control more of the ball, They also have a good level of pass accuracy. But yeah they are really bad at finishing. And actually Belgium is in a group that is not that difficult. Because Belgium should be the favorite in Group E. And it would be very disappointing if Belgium failed to qualify from the group stage. Well that would be a drastic decline for the Belgian National Team.

Their next opponent is Romania. And I think it will be a much more difficult match for Belgium. Because Romania seems to have a much more reliable game. I even lost a bet because I underestimated Romania. I had high hopes for Ukraina and well the result was that Romania surprised us because it managed to beat Ukraina with a fairly big score.

For Belgium players, only a few players get a good rating in this fight, the rest of the Belgium player rating is under the rating of Slovakia players.
Special appreciation is also feasible to be addressed to experienced goalkeeper Dubravka owned by Newcastle who performed very well throughout the match. Dubravka managed to make 5 great saves in thwarting the efforts of Belgium players.
Which ratings are you referring to? To be fair to Belgium players most of the time the losing side always has the worst rating even though they don't play that badly. I think these stats are skewed toward the winner.

Mistakes by belgium players costed it three points, but they are not playing so awfully.
Yeah, the stats suggest they dominate the game with more opportunity to score goals and possession. Unfortunately, you don't win games with those, goals are required to win matches.
