Today was a bad gambling day for me because I expected something different from the matches of Belgium against Slovakia and that between Austria and France. Both are high scoring sides that I expected to deliver as many goals as possible, far different from the result we saw which is just a single goal for each of those matches. Lastly, it was a huge surprise seeing Belgium lose to Slovakia even when Belgium was suggested by many to be one of the favorite to win the tournament.
Yesterday and today I thought I had declining luck. And yes Euro 2024 seems much more difficult to predict. I was initially optimistic about every option I had chosen. But yeah, the results were mostly unexpected. Belgium's defeat was one of them. Well I had too high hopes for that team. Because I think De Bruyne and Lukaku's club will win that match. But well, the result, as seen, turned out to be that Belgium had to suffer defeat by Slovakia. Lukaku seems to have lost his sharpness in the Belgian national team. He is like a different person to the players who play for Roma. In Roma Lukaku was so sharp and reliable. But in the national team itself I saw that Lukaku was not in his best condition. Yes, this is a disappointing result but yes, this Euro will be more interesting and fierce than usual.
Sorry for not being lucky with your prediction bro, but to be frank, this particular Belgium team that I watched yesterday has practically past their best, I said so because since Eden hazard left the national team, they have been really poor and their quality of play has really declined, even the few matches they played before they came into this euros competition, they weren't as convincing as of the days of Eden hazard.
And as for Romelu lukaku, I was really shock by his poor performance yesterday because I believe that him and kelvin de bruyne was their most experience players, so if the people others are looking up to can't perform, who then can perform? It's was only doku that caught my attention in that Belgium national team yesterday, but his decision making in the final third needs to improve if he is going to improve further, in the career ahead of him.
Lastly, that lost yesterday to the Slovakians has really put them into a very difficult situation whereby they must win the remaining two games for them to qualify, and to be sincere, they are just lucky because their group is not as difficult as some other groups, so I believe that if improvement is made in the final third, they will definitely qualify out of this group.
