The England game wasn't an easy one, Serbia was unlucky to find the ball in the back of the net. They gave England a tough time to maintain possession of the ball, with all the big names England have I was expecting Serbia to be defending and not giving their opponent much worries, more than one goal is suppose to be in this game but I never saw the 3 Lions creating much chances.
I wonder why Southgate didn't bring in Palmer same time he brought in Bowen, someone like Foden was in the game to me, he (Foden) shouldn't have started and Southgate should have taken Saka off in the closing part of the 1st half, he's not too fit to me. Having someone like Gordon on the bench is a no no to me and is like those players especially the wingers who competed for the EPL title are not that agile in the game tonight, Southgate should have given them the next game or maybe introduce them in the second half not to start them in this game. I'm not seeing England as a team that's more aggressive but let's say this is their first game, the second would speak more.

What I feel is actually not in the condition of the players but honestly I see a different situation from Spain's game in the first match yesterday.
We've always seen Spain with their Barcelona style tiki taka in recent seasons but now it seems like Spain are adopting more of a Madrid style of play and in yesterday's game against Croatia it was the quick counter-attacks that always resulted in goals that I think made the difference in the Spanish scheme of things and I like that.

In terms of play I think Croatia are better at building attacks and how they control the midfield, but the quick counter-attacks relying on the speed of the young Spanish players are hard to stop and the scoreline is one that I didn't really expect to see in this match.
A failed bet but it was refunded with a multi advantage in today's match which went very well for me as both Netherlands and England got the win although for England they could have performed more than this but 1 goal was enough for their 3 points in the first match.

Anyone else also think that betting on Euro 2024 looks easy in this first week?
All of the favorite teams from groups A, B, C and D have won and it looks like France and Belgium will also win easily tomorrow.
Idk why but I suspect that we might see many of unpredicted results in the next week.

There will be a lot of dissatisfaction with England's performance in today's match. They have a lot of talented players in the squad but Southgate's scheme is really boring in my opinion. Only 1 goal scored is obviously not very good and it seems that what can thwart the English squad now happens because of poor attacking schemes and patterns.

Honestly I don't really like Trent being played as a defensive midfielder in this match because I think instead of doing a 4-2-3-1 formation for England they would be much more worth it with a 4-3-3 where TAA is placed in a position like he was at Liverpool and Kyle is used as a center back with Stone. It will be much more worth it for TAA who can move freely to overlap and his place can still be filled temporarily for Kyle in anticipation of counter attacks. As for the 3 midfielders they have Foden, Rice and Jude who can be used as a trio which I think is quite worth it. But Southgate doesn't seem to see this situation too much by making some formations that are a little confusing for the players.
This is an unexpected result in the end even though they won but 1 goal is like a condition that does make them require to change the scheme being run now.

England do have all the stars of England but they will still not show in their scoreline that they have those kind of players. South Gate needs to improve in his pattern of game so that he can take advantage of his squad and win this year Euro. However, it was still a good result for the match to end 1-0 in their favor.

Kane missed a beautiful header which was stopped by the goalkeeper from enteric g the goal post. Serbia tried their best and they were able to avoid conceding more goals but dominated the second half with the intention of equalizing the goal. Unfortunately, that was not achieved as they missed some good opportunities of making it happen.

Easy win for England, they even almost scored the second goal.
Only Vlahovic was "close" to draw the game but the difference between the 2 teams was to big.

Tomorrow will be the time of France and Belgium, 2 big teams will start their adventure.

A lot of people will definitely bet for England to win Serbia, which came out correctly. For me the English team didn't play to the expectations of many, Serbia nearly equalized the game because of the way they played, England where Just managing the entire situation to maintain that 1-0 difference till the end of the match with all the stars they have both the ones sitting in the bench and the ones playing.
The good thing is, they've been able to secure their first three points, but Gareth Southgate should come up with a better tactical formation for their next match, because I didn't really feel the impact of some of the big guys during the game.

let's be sincere with ourselves and know that this England team is not organized at all. The have all the star players and by far all there players are literally better than the Serbian side but they just don't know how to play well as a strong team. This is almost like an ideal champions league team that is now playing together and yet we're seeing this kind of 1:0 win after the end of 90 minutes and if not that they just got lucky to score the first goal, they would have allowed the match to end in draw.

Don't know whhy the coach didn't bring in Cole Palmer for this match when it appears as though Harry Kane wasn't receiving the balls the way that would have helped him score goals. We all know that Kane is a magical goal scored and that the technicality of Cole Palmer would make things easier for Kane at the attack but I guess the coach had his reson why he didn't play palmer. i love the fact that Jude Bellingham was able to score, at least this will serve to baist his moral going forward into this tournament and I just hope that they give him and Cole Palmer more player time cause depending on harry Kane alone for goals would be a serious problem for the England team. Regardless of the disappointing score line, they needed 3 points and they've been able to secure it all to themselves, that's all that matters.

It finally worked for him as England played more of defensive game in the second half, and it didn't tell good on them. If not for their goalkeeper Jordan Pickford that saved their ass and denied Serbia some chances of scoring.

Serbia took over the second half and pressured England till the end of the match but they were unlucky and could not find the back of the net throughout 94 minutes. Bellingham only goal in the first have made a difference and gave England their first win in this competition. I never expected that England will not be able to score any goal in the second half.

Jude Bellingham is crazy - he's been a really good player for a lot of both club and national level games. I know he is the most expensive English player at the moment - of course his market value is proportional to the quality he has. Really - Real Madrid are lucky to have him at the club, he is the difference.

Gareth Southgate seems to have great difficulty rotating his players - he has a lot of good players on the bench, while he also has good players on the pitch. What a really good line up - but unfortunately, Trent Alexander-Arnold was withdrawn first. Bokayo Saka followed, replaced by Jarrod Bowen - Harry Kane may need to be given time off to be replaced by Ollie Watkins or Cole Palmer.

It seems that Southgate decided to stick to his plan to score first and then play cautiously, defensively, but now I think his plan started to fail, because for the first time Serbia started to have some moments that can be called at least a little dangerous. Of course, I want England to play attacking soccer, but for Southgate the result is probably more important than a beautiful game.
Nevertheless, Serbia still have chances, because one goal can always be scored, but if England score the second goal, they will probably win the match with 99% probability.

So far there have been no outright unexpected results in the Euro, and Croatia is not as strong as before, so Spain's victory was not unexpected. Perhaps Denmark's draw against Slovenia was unexpected, and I think that if Denmark had continued to attack and not tried to hold the score, they could have won, but they gave Slovenia the opportunity to recoup and that was a mistake.

He was actually a decent player back then in Wolfbusrg and the majority of his loan spell weren't that bad either except when he played for Manchester United. As for his record for Netherlands, he had scored 12 goals out of 34 caps so yeah he wasnt really a star player on national team but he is quite decent backup when you need someone upfront and yeah he had proven himself by scoring that goal securing 3 points for Netherlands

I personally think he is pretty good though, pretty similar to Jamie Vardy as well

Watching it now also, its all Serbia now after the break. The odds on them to win
were 20.0 just at the start of the second half, they are 4.5 now. They have upped the
pace of the game and England seem to have lost their shape.

BTW, where was Kane in the first half? he was kind of out of the game.

Bellingam is something different, he scored the 1st goal showing his domiance.

Cant see how England could even lose points today, the need to do a big mistake to concede a goal.

The match result was to my satisfaction because both teams are well prepared and they both have some experienced players that are good and are playing well in their club sides. But the early goal from Eriksen was very emotional, which I expected Denmark to be able to defend, but despite their match dominance, they couldn't stop Slovenia from getting a goal in the match to secure point as well. The England vs. Serbia match is going on, and England is winning 1-0 at halftime. If England win the match, they will lead the group.


I never expected Croatia to defeat this current Spain squad because the good players Croatia have are all old, their young players are yet to gain experience from top teams, and all the Spain players in the squad are playing in the top teams in Europe. Spain should also be among the favorites to win this tournament because they have players that can defeat any team in the Euuro competition this season.

Eriksen was really good that he was able to play after he almost died on the field, but despite everything I think that game that happened 1100 days ago should not have been played, because then it was obvious that the Danish team was in shock and then did not recover after the incident with Eriksen.
This time Danish national team can take this match as an asset, because they earned one point, but they could have lost and earned nothing.

England again plays super strict and this despite the fact that Southtgate has such forwards and midfielders as Bellingham, Kane, Saka, Foden and it is good that Bellingham decided to escalate the situation and scored a beautiful goal with his head playing ahead.
Serbia look very bad so far, it seems that they just don't know what to do.

So far I think this euros competition have lived up to expectations because all the games are just pouring with goals and high performance and this particular game itself was a game to watch as both teams have their fair share of shots of target and at the end it was actively drawn.

As for the Netherland game , I would say I was abit suprised to see werghoust among the scorers because at club side level he isn't much of an influence but I think he is good players at national team.

I quite agree with you any team that concede more goals will find it difficult to make it to the next round, currently Denmark and Slovenia have draw their first match and England vs Serbia are on, England are now leading with a goal scored by JUDE BELLINGHAM in the first half, this is just the beginning i expect more goals with England because they are a lot of goal machines that know how to make the net dance. To me it's clear that England will take the lead in the table, the first half has ended and we see what the two teams played, Serbia have also try but I don't believe in their victory in this match, but let see how the second half will be, almost 10% percent different in ball possession.

Croatia definitely shocked me, I knew that Spain could win, that wasn't the shock, but Croatia looked like they were totally lost, they looked like they had absolutely no way of knowing what to do and they were just like amateurs thrown to the field.

I think Spain could have scored even more, but they were shocked at how bad Croatia was as well, so they didn't really push for more, if they played against Germany then I am sure that Germany would have scored 5+ against this current Croatia as well. Don't know how many changes happened at the roster, but can't be all that much, we have seen this team just two years ago at World Cup, and the fact that they dropped to this bad this quickly is beyond my understanding to be fair.
