A number of speculations arose when seeing England first appearance against Serbia. To be honest, I'm bored watching it because there is nothing special about England's front line. Kane, Foden and Saka didn't appear impressive. If England doesn't have a good strategy then this team will find it difficult to reach the top of the Final. There are many other promising candidates. The Group Stage won't be a big deal but after that England are no longer favourites. Without Bellingham single goal everything would have been in vain. Imagine England can only collect 3 shots on target with extraordinary players at their respective clubs. Foden, Kane, Saka, TAA, Declan Rice, Stones and Walker but these statistics will be a big evaluation for Southgate if he wants to continue to progress further. In my opinion many England fans are not satisfied with the performance of their favorite team even though they won 3 points.

From what I see, there is several teams that have good quality players and will annoy England a lot. Serbia is not the hardest team that England would face, yet the performance and the result are quite not that satisfying.
Group C is not that powerful and England will pass it relatively easily. The question is whether they will advance a lot or not and that depends from the team they will face. France, Germany and Spain are hardest teams in my opinion and the England team will struggle facing them.

From what we saw last night in the England game they weren't like the 3 Lions that lose to score goals and 1nil win isn't suppose to be the scoreline of a team that have big names on their squad, the fans weren't pleased with what they saw, performance wasn't fun to watch. Is like a division 2 side was playing against Serbia.
That's by the way but my concern is Phil Foden who performed poorly, he is the EPL best player and we all saw what he did last season and he deserved it. Is it that he normally perform well when he's surrounded by the likes of Rodri, Bernardo Silva and KDB? Because to me I think he's overrated as a player, if he was playing for a club like Chelsea who was struggling I think he couldn't play out his best just like Palmer, from the way he performed I think he's nothing close to Saka who played better both in club and country.
What do you think with Foden's performance in the game last night? To me I feel he shouldn't have been introduced because that was an awful display last night.

I've been seeing different fan bases since I started watching football but the England fans is undoubtedly one of the most impatient fan base across the globe. They're always quick to condemn their team and manager at the slightest poor result. Gareth Southgate is an Englishman and he definitely understands how high the expectations of the English fans are so I expect him to do everything within his tactical strength and experience to avoid any poor result that'll draw intense criticism from the English fans. The result of the England game against Serbia yesterday might not be very convincing considering the scoreline but the performance of the Three Lions against their opponents I think was convincing enough to anyone who understands football.
Their best game on the tournament will be against Denmark and I strongly believe that England will win that game

France and Austria are going to be playing today and the result will be surprising. France has good players so do Austria if any slight mistake is done from the France team, then Austria will win with those opportunities. So far this would be one of the most favorite games to watch in this competition. When it comes to big games like this France rarely blew it off, but when they get to face smaller things, they tend to blow things for people who gamble on their head.

Most times when there are too much squad in one team. This is what i expect, they will find it difficult to win the match. It happens in local football we play in our country and also in the professional level as well. Each player will try to play adamantly because of the big name, also when they are with the ball, they feel the need to dribble and show off instead of communicating properly and passing the ball when necessary.

I have been watching the match in the second half and England a bit under pressure because seems Serbia was performing better and they can playing very aggressive with makes defensive line from England was threatened several times and luckily England defender is still focus until the match ended and England is still cleansheet however as a England fans i am not too satisfied with England performance yesterday because they can still do better than this but indeed just like i said before Serbia is not easy opponent for England and this winning result is very important for England because finally they can gets their first 3 points in this competition

England chances to advances to the next round is very wide open and i am sure they can able to do that but indeed because England was dominated by young players and i was a bit worried about their consistency but Southgate has been said he was confident England young players can performing well so people shouldn't be worried about that and against Denmark if i am not mistaken on the previous tournament England and Denmark have been met each other at that time they were fight at the semifinal match of Euro 2020 and England win with the final scores 2-1 and maybe for the current match England can repeat that result and overcomes Denmark again

Southgate will receive harsher criticism if the England national team draws in their next match, especially if they lose, it will be a nightmare for Kane and his teammates. Southgate has a number of quality players in his squad, they are all mainstays at club level, so managing them and winning games should be easier for Southgate.

The victory over Serbia deserves praise even though it didn't appear impressive considering it was only the first match. Yes England need to win a trophy but they should make no mistake about it, they shouldn't get it twisted, nobody is going to hand them a trophy on a platter of gold. If they want to win something, they should work hard for it and earn it. With this kind of lackluster performance they are not going to win anything and that's for sure. They managed to win, but I'm not convinced even with this win that they are going to win the tournament.

England didn't play to keep the score, that's not their style, at least not against such an opponent, Serbia only made a few shots on target, it was difficult for them to play against England. It is difficult to blame Southgate for a bad strategy as long as they are winning, after all, the main thing is to get 3 points for a victory, and not to achieve a crushing victory. They may qualify but it won’t be as easy as u think, not with the way they are. With all the squad depth and quality players they don’t seem to be special at all i don’t know but Southgate doesn’t seem to be doing a good job at all, I expect them to be ruthless with opponents like this but they managed only a goal. I find the idea of playing players off position absurd because they can’t give 100% since thats not their natural position, Southgate playing Arnold in thee midfield when there are natural midfielders in the team is not ideal. When they face a tough opponent it will be clear that Arnold shouldn’t be playing from midfield. With the way they are can they reach the finals? Let’s hope they do.

I thought England could win the match against Serbia easily, but it turns out they had to achieve that victory with great difficulty. I agree with you, England's problem is they don't have much creativity in midfield, so they could not sustain a certain rhythm throughout the game. Instead of bringing in Palmer to replace Foden or Bellingham, Southgate chose to take Saka out and replace him with Jarrod Bowen.

England also gave Serbia too much space, so Serbia had many opportunities to attack and put pressure on England. True, I was quite shocked seeing them win with just a goal, this is not the England team i know though if they can really try not to concede then a goal is just enough to continue moving don't forget Spain win 2010 world Cup with just 8 goals in the entire tournament whereas a team of such could have been expected to score more goals.

It should be like that, in the first match we can't decide anything on the performance of all the teams or the results obtained and apart from the assessment of the England team and many people who doubt them to win the Euros I think the most important thing is that they can win in their first match even though 1 goal and that is quite important for the English National team.

Personally, I think England's overall performance in their first match was not that impressive, there are still many aspects that need to be changed, especially the front line which was unable to take advantage of creating dangerous opportunities.

England picked all 3 point yesterday, not in the way that most people imagined it to be but at the very end it 3 points that matters. To be sincere The Three lions didn’t play well, they barely controlled the game, and I think they lack flair upfront, and also didn’t took control in that midfield. Southgate is getting it all wrong and it might affect the team after the group stage. England needs to bring in a lot of creativity in the team, people who can create something out of nothing, like Eze, palmer or even Gordon.

Southgate is always scared to take risks and that why he is not doing well in England. You brought in these boys to your squad then why not play them, well it too early to judge but I know Southgate is not a risk taker. Foden was not having his best game yesterday you could have substituted him and bring in a fresh leg, well we can’t conclude yet, it’s just the first game and the most important way to start a tournament is by picking up all 3points.
