And last year, Eintracht won  Wink But this does not mean that if we see the confrontation between Barcelona and Eintracht again, we will have to bet on Eintracht. It is clear that the Europa League is a competition with increased randomness (even taking into account the fact that in knockout games the randomness is initially high), but there will be favorites and Liverpool will be one of them.
It depends. I will not count on Liverpool next season in EPL nor in Europa League if they will perform the way they did in the previous season. The amount of fluctuations was huge, even Klopp, the stuff and the players can't understand what's going on with the team at some point.
I believe Liverpool will improve next season, in that case, they will be a big favourite for the title, without considering the clubs that will join from Champions League, like Barcelona Roll Eyes

Next year will be a normal year without a crazy midseason World Cup so I would expect Liverpool to be back to normal. Liverpool and Klopp preach high cost energy football so it's no surprise that Liverpool failed last season with an unusually packed calendar of games. Next season will be more comfortable for them, if Liverpool don't get knocked out of the Europa League in the early stages then they will be the biggest favorites for the title in my opinion.
Yes, that's true because I see the changes that have taken place at the Liverpool club.
Liverpool are slowly improving their performance with the aim of being able to get the European league trophy next season and I think whether this will also be a new history for Liverpool who will qualify for the European league finals.
I know it's not easy to be in the best position to get tickets to the Europa League competing with other clubs but in the end Liverpool took it seriously and really wanted to get that ticket.
So that Liverpool's confidence really proves that in the following season it will try very hard to continue to the European league.

Many people like that Mourinho lost the final. But it is more than that, because AS Roma is now missing out on the CL. And that Sevilla has won the tournament for the umpteenth time, says something. I can't yet think of an explanation for the disappointing results in the league. Would the level difference in the EL compared to the Spanish league be so huge due to the difference in this performance curve? Next year we will have a number of strong teams in the EL again. It is impossible to designate a top favorite in advance.
Mourinho defeat in the championship game may have pleased some but the effects extend beyond that one game. It is without a doubt disappointing for AS Roma and its followers that the team did not advance to the champions league. However sevilla continued dominance in the tournament speaks volumes about their prowess in European competition. However it is challenging to identify a single reason that accounts for the unsatisfactory league performance. The performance gap between the Europa League and the spanish league may be a factor but there are probably many more intricate factors at work. It will be increasingly harder to pick a clear favourite when numerous quality teams compete in the Europa league the following year. The unpredictable nature of football is what makes it so beautiful and as fans this quality keeps us captivated.

It was also the only way for Sevilla to have another good season. Even if they lost in the final to the EL, Sevilla would have had a bad team, because they were unable to qualify for the EL through the regular season. Maybe it's time to take the broom through the selection, you ask yourself, but on the other hand you win the EL. A title that Barcelona would like to have for years due to the disappointing results in the CL. It is remarkable that big clubs such as Barcelona and Juventus are unable to win this title and are clearly better than Sevilla and Frankfurt last year.

Sevilla won and deserve this year Europa League, when I think about what Roma did as how they had the game in their hand yet Mourinho and his stupid well known now strategy of parking the bus did not work out at all.Sevilla is the team who has won the Europa League more than any other teams and I think they will be playing again in Champions League next year which is quite an achievement for a team who could barely save themselves from the relegation of going to La Liga 2 and now they find themselves playing in Champions in the upcoming season.

It is indeed strange that teams like Juventus,Manchester United and Barcelona could not be able to win this Europa League while Sevilla beat Manchester United and Juventus so in the end they deserved it.

It was Hary Maguire himself who kept him from being in the line up for Man United when ETH arrived. ETH once spoke in an interview when Man United lost against Sevilla in the Europa league and made two blunders that resulted in goals for Sevilla. Then ETH said he had seen Hary Maguire's blunder when ETH was still at Ajax. even though ETH had told him that if Martinez arrived he would play less and be told to leave, out of sixty one matches in all competitions Hary Maguire only got eight games as a line up.

The step that Maguire must take is to leave Man United because in the future he will lose his performance if he continues to be the fourth choice, even ETH prefers Luke Shaw as CB when Lica and Varane are absent.
Too bad the most expensive defender, he was immediately given the captain's armband and immediately entered into the first team. Of course, he was given many opportunities but he even made more blunders. Indeed, expensive players are not necessarily successful.
At this point I also think it is time to face reality and accept a move away from Manchester United. No one could have thought things to go this way especially after his brilliant season with Leicester City, his performance at the club triggered Manchester United’s interest to sign him for a whopping £80m, now I barely see any team bidding any amount close to 50m for Harry Maguire.

Erik Ten Hag for a fact is a good manager who knows how to make important decisions on and off the pitch and also knows how to handle controversial moments just like he did in his fallout with Cristiano Ronaldo before last year's World Cup.
However it is crystal clear to every football fan that Manchester United were ousted by Sevilla in the quarter finals because of his tactical errors especially in the first leg of that encounter. So it's safe to criticise him concerning that quarter final tie against Sevilla

Terrible decisions made in that game that cost them their chances of competing for the title this season and I am sure even Ten Hag himself still reflects on that game from time to time and regrets some decisions he made. I think it is time to move forward from that and think about the future and hope that scenario doesn’t repeat itself.

~snip~

Still, people think Erik Ten Hag is guilty of the bad performance we saw recently from Manchester United in the recent games and this can't be true because I think he did all he could do to help his teams but sometimes it doesn't matter how hard to try, a personal mistake from some players can destroy everything immediately. That's what we saw in the game against Sevilla.
Also, Harry Maguire is getting old and I think because of the mistakes he had and his age he won't get any good offers for the next season.
Erik Ten Hag's culpability for Manchester United's recent performance is highly disputable. I agree that he has made significant efforts to drive the team forward, but football, being a collective sport, leaves room for individual errors that can lead to match losses, as was the case against Sevilla. Regarding Harry Maguire, his age and recent errors might indeed limit his future prospects. Nevertheless, United's overall progress this season under Ten Hag's leadership is palpable, and with an impending takeover, I anticipate further growth and better outcomes. They could potentially advance further in the Champions League, thus improving on this season's performance.

Maguire's mistakes started a long time ago, you could say when he first came to MU, with mistakes often resulting in a conceded goal, I wouldn't trust him at all and don't understand why he's still in the team, but that's ok... Hug has put this team on its feet and I think next season he will continue to improve the position of MU, the management were not wrong in their choice, and as for playing in the Europa League - you can't win all the time, there are slip-ups

Harry Maguire is a very obscure centre-back. One day it works wonders, the next day it can cause the opposing team to play 12 player. This uncertainty also infuriates Manchester United fans. If you are going to play as the defender of such a big and successful team, you cannot afford to make mistakes. I'm sure Ten Hag has some thoughts about him this year.

If Liverpool got many superstar players like Salah, Manchester United had better players, and if Liverpool got a good coach like Klopp, Roma got a coach like Mourinho, and both teams Roma and Macnshter United failed in the last Europa League, that's why I think even Liverpool with their good situation can't be the first hope for the next season.
I think the situation is similar but also a bit different. First of all, Roma didn't had as quality players as Liverpool if you ask me, more than half of Liverpool's squad reached UCL finals a year ago and a lot of them even won the premier league as well, once again probably over half of them.

Secondly, United losing was a big mistake, it wasn't suppose to be like that and United was definitely the better team and United just made errors after errors to lose that series, they were still the much better team even while playing but they made mistakes that cost the series, obviously if Liverpool makes that as well then they are going to end up losing again, there is nothing mistaken about that, it will be the case without a doubt. This is why I believe that we can't really have a situation like that again.

I don't see  any reason why Liverpool won't be able to win  Europa League next season, I know this will be a competition that Liverpool won't take for granted.  If Liverpool eventually win Europa League they will get easy access to qualify for champions league, and English Premier league league won't be easy for Liverpool because of many  teams have become strong and targeting to win Premier league, I'm sure Europa  league be a target for Liverpool.

It will be very disappointing if Liverpool fails to win Europa League,  because rating the teams that are participating in Europa League, Liverpool still remains the best of then all. Liverpool in Europa League next season will be so much  interesting.if Sevilla is to be in Europa League next season I don't think they will be able defeat Sevilla.
Liverpool are one of the best teams to feature in the Europa League in the coming season and for that reason I believe they stand a huge chance to win since there are not much teams that can compete against Liverpool in the Europa League this coming season judging from how successful they have been competing in European competitions.

The Europa League final is very important for Roma so it's only natural that coach Mourinho would do this because he was disappointed with several refereeing decisions that made his team lose.
But actually Roma's game was very good in yesterday's final match and they even had the lead before Sevilla equalized in the second round.
Actually from the start I was sure that Rome could maintain this advantage but unfortunately the facts said otherwise and the match had to be finished on penalties.
I think many were disappointed with the referee's decision in this final match and Jose Maurinho's anger makes a lot of sense in my opinion because there were several moments when the AS Roma team was really hurt by the referee's decision.
AS Roma's defeat is quite a pity because this is their target so they have not focused on the domestic league in recent weeks just to prepare the team for this final match and also this is the only hope for the Roma team to be able to play in the Champions League next season.
but these are the facts, even though Roma fans are disappointed with this result and also disappointed with the unfair refereeing decisions for them but Sevilla are really the kings of the Europa League, it is very difficult to beat them even though this season their performance in La Liga is declining.

If we go to merits, I think that Roma deserved much more to win the Europa League and win that spot for the UCL, but football is the one that wins with the most goals and aside from the refereeing decision is quite strong , it is one of the things that many did not agree, this type of thing is why I have said that technology must be increasingly present in decisions like these , because it is based merely on what a human sees and there are so many restrictions by the VAR , already lends itself to many controversies.

Well, Sevilla was a superior team, and I think that everything was confirmed even on penalties, Roma lacked much more, and those things are what one should see as a fan, although I believed and wanted Roma to have won, well Here you have to be aware and give credit to the best, and I hope that Sevilla plays a good role in the UCL, it must be a source of pride for all the teams in Spain for another team to be in the ranks of the UCL.

On Friday, news became official that Monchi had ended his long-standing relationship with Sevilla, as he took on the role of President of Football Operations at Aston Villa.

Aside from a two-year spell between 2017 and 2019 at AS Roma, Monchi had spent his entire career, as both a player and staff member, at Los Nervionenses, but given the circumstances of his departure, he could now be gone for good.

Monchi oversaw an incredible level of success during his years at Sevilla, the latest of which was during the 2022-23 season when they won a record seventh Europa League title, defeating Roma on penalties in the final.

When you say West Ham and Brighton, in the same sentence as Liverpool, it just doesn't feel right at all. I know they finished badly this season and if they get any worse than they are not going to be all that great, but that doesn't mean that we are not going to end up with the same Liverpool neither. Remember these guys played UCL finals just a year before, and they could still do well, they had some problems scoring, and their defense looked like they didn't care all that much.

But if they get on a good winning streak, everyone will be hyped a lot and will do their duty without a doubt. I am not saying they will get the premier title, but Europa seems like quite possible for them, not "easy" because it is still a tough tournament, but it should not be that difficult neither.
Soccer is European competitions is surely unpredictable because it's never been at same level for many teams as we have history of things which are shocking just because of this everything is possible from here if we have teams like Sevilla and West Ham were fighting hard for coming out of the relegation zone and have trophies like Europa Cup and Conference Cup then surely any team can win from these events just consistency and good day is must for them even things are going worst for them.

Most of the peoples are feeling only Liverpool can go through for the title, but they are missing how West Ham blown away big teams in event for the win which is clearly indicating about results and performance but right now all is too early because now we have two months which will have big impacts on many clubs with many players are going out and in as well.

It always depends on the level of luck that each team has because no one can guarantee that a team can become champions in Europe even though the players and coaches are quite good. A close example is Sevilla who have managed to win the Europa League with a very large degree of luck here, even though Sevilla is not very good in its own domestic league. However, it was precisely the opposite when Sevilla appeared in the Europa League and won here.
I don't think it's Seville's luck. because you can see how Sevilla won the Europa League trophy several times. although their performance has not been as consistent as other teams in domestic competition. but you can see how they keep getting good chances in European competitions.
Sevilla has quality, it's just that they don't play consistently in every game they play. or maybe also lose in financial competition with other teams in getting more quality players.
maybe if Sevilla were a team with richer ownership. The Champions League could be their closest dream.

Sevilla's dominance isn't unbreakable in the Europa League. Several teams have showed this to us in the recent years. Since the 2016-17 season there have been quite many different champions. Two of them were even Premier League teams which were Chelsea and Manchester United. As a result I wouldn't like to see Liverpool's chance much lower than Sevilla next season. It is all about how much Liverpool can balance the EPL and EL at the same time. They just need to increase their concentration level.

Because this was one of the main problems why they seemed better in the Champions League than the EPL this season for a while. And of course the right transfers should continue to be made as well.

Liverpool will have a much better chance of winning than Sevilla, the only thing that can stop them is motivation. Obviously this is a side tournament for Liverpool, but as we know Liverpool loves to collect any cups  Grin
And by the way, with all due respect to Liverpool, a place in the top 4 is not guaranteed at all, so it is possible that in order to get into the Champions League, they will have to win the Europa League.

I don't think so and we can't be sure about Liverpool or any team in Europa League.
Don't forget in the last season we saw much more chance for Manchester United than other teams and we saw even a good chance for Arsenal for in the end both teams failed and Sevilla won the title. That's why I think we cannot be sure about Liverpool at all.
As a big team in the English Premier League, we can consider Liverpool as a favorite team in the UAFA European League. Even if Liverpool is a favorite team, it cannot be said that they will win the European League title. Because other teams except Liverpool will also play to win. The worst team in the European League but they don't want to lose they will always plan to do their best.
Manchester United or Arsenal were the favorites last season but they failed to win the Europa League trophy. That means those who consistently do well for the Europa League will have a higher chance of winning the Europa League.

It makes sense, because next season the competition for the top four in the Premier League will certainly be a difficult job. So yes, because Liverpool are playing in the Europa League, at least Liverpool will have the access that maybe they can definitely get by winning the Europa League title to be able to get Champions League tickets. But yeah, that doesn't mean Liverpool will relax in the Premier League because anyway, I'm sure Liverpool will keep working hard to be able to finish in the top four too later. Of course this will be a very interesting competition, I don't think Liverpool will fail to get a Champions League ticket later.
Indeed, Liverpool's focus will remain on two competitions and of course it will not be easy because there will be a lot of pressure that arises due to increasingly competitive competition between teams. Maybe if Liverpool can win the European league then they don't need to bother looking for a place in the top 4, but one thing is certain they will keep trying to return to the competition at the top of the standings. After all, there is nothing wrong if Liverpool are serious this time in the European league and if they can win the European league title then at least they have one trophy next season.
I agree somehow partially because still I believe their main focus is Premier League because we all know how unpredictable are UEFA competitions so going into Champions League through Europa Cup is much risky for them with this most chances they will again try their best for the best in Premier League because in last season they were not good but still they achieve good results in last few weeks from here they can do much better and conveniently.

With in Europa Cup things are also manageable until we have round of 16 after this it's never been easy for any team to stay at same level like we have few teams in last season like Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus but still we can expect good fight for this title from Liverpool and Jürgen Klopp.

Like Arsenal, Manchester united and juventus have better chance to won the league but sevilla did it. The result is so hard to predict. Sometimes, a team is not become favorite to win the game could be lucky enough like sevilla.
Sevilla was not making a lot of its goal from open play. The own goals from the players by any team helped the club so much to win the league. As long as the team can be lucky enough in the competition and it will be possible for the club to win the competition this season.

There are so many possibilities can happen next season. I agree if liverpool will become one of favorite team to win europa league next season. I think that as roma too.
Failed to won europa league last season gives as roma much more motivation to win the competition this year.
Football is really dynamic as it can change anytime.

In fact, there are many factors that make Arsenal, Manchester United, and other top teams slip in this competition. but that doesn't mean they lost because the team wasn't strong, but one thing or another that in the end both Arsenal and Manchester United slipped. Sevilla is a team that is not superior at all, moreover this team is at the same time sinking in the relegation zone position. but in fact, their luck was very high which in the end was able to secure their ranking in the safe zone and at the same time win this competition. nevertheless, their hard work should be appreciated. and yep, we agree there are many possibilities that could happen. not always, the superior team that always wins this competition which in the end is due to one factor or another plus luck also plays a role.

Next season, Liverpool will be one of the participants who will also compete in this league and of course they have a chance and at the same time be one of the favourites. it's even possible that other Premier League teams will also appear seriously in the trophy hunt in this competition, and it's no exception with teams from the Italian league, AS Roma will try their luck again as one of the competitors. and yep, we agree that football is very dynamic and that's what makes it all so exciting.

Indeed, anything that is too much is sometimes not good and what we excel at may not fully come true. Maybe it's true that Manchester United is the team closest to the European league title this season but in fact they can't do much more in front of the European league king. Liverpool has now come as an example for us when we favor Manchester United this season and I also doubt that Liverpool can answer the challenges of football fans around the world if they can win the European league next season.
