Sevilla have an interesting record in the Europa League, they have never lost on seven occasions going into the final. Sevilla seems to have strong chemistry with the Europa League, every time Sevilla is there they always manage to come out as champions.
It's because Sevilla bribed the referee, if the referee is fair, there's a chance if Roma might win this season Europa league. In order to defeat Sevilla, the opponent club need to have a good striker who can score without need a referee e.g. penalty, free kick, offside etc.

Quote
Real Madrid as the king of the Champions League while Sevilla as the king of the Europa League.
It's completely different, Real Madrid was able to beat many clubs in the last minutes on the last season, while Sevilla isn't a club who trying very hard to win even though they're playing under pressure.

La Liga is held by Barcelona and Sevilla have not been able to surpass Barcelona in La Liga but for the Europa League they are a strong team and managed to come out as winners for the umpteenth time.
Both are equally important, but because they are too focused on the Europa League, domestic titles in La Liga cannot be won.
By becoming champions of the Europa League Sevilla managed to get a Champions League ticket for next season but somehow I think that Sevilla will be left there and that's why I expect them to stay focused on the Europa League which they have at least 7 times.
I think the Sevilla team can make a big impact in La Liga next season, just like Barcelona. Because this team has secured the Europa League title by doing amazing performances in the current season. As a result, confidence has been created among the players of the team so that the team will want to pass the next season as well.
This is not the first time they have won the title, so there is no reason for them to be more confident that they can appear in La Liga with good performance.
As an illustration, Sevilla has not been able to beat Barcelona and Real Madrid and these two teams have always dominated the race for the championship there, so what can be expected from Sevilla in La Liga if they cannot beat their strongest teams.
Wouldn't that be in vain for Sevilla and in the end they will only regret because they can't focus on titles they should be able to have again like the Europa League.

It would be really lovely to watch a finale between Sevilla and Liverpool.  Grin  I think Liverpool would be one step ahead in that case.

Liverpool have faced Sevilla in the Europa final once before. That was the early stage of Klopp at Liverpool. Sevilla prevailed on that occasion. I know that Liverpool team and this one are in no way the same but it's worth pointing out.
Sevilla got a lot to work on if they really want to go that far in Europe next season. Even in the league. I know they're not comfortable with being around the middle part of the table. They need to make a couple of additions to their squad and they might be ready. The problem they will face is n the strict financial policies of La Liga.
Liverpool on the other hand are not going to have those kind of problems. We've already started noticing their presence in the transfer market.
Anyway, it's still too early to predict who will get to the finals next season. Let the season begin first.

Based on their past record shows that Liverpool have the strength to go far in next season, because their coach is very ready to bring someone that can work with Salah to ensure they lift UEFA champions league title next season. Since Liverpool still have a solid defense in this season, I think there is hope for them to display more than Manchester city next season, if the players can play in unity which is the major pillars that make every team solid through out in any competition. I believe, Sevilla coach will definitely sign in some potential players next season because they experienced some challenges from the midfield and defense, but their strikers really performed well in some matches that made many people to believed that they can do better in next season.

the weird thing about Sevilla which is different than Real Madrid is that Sevilla were playing terribly in their league and they managed to win the Europa League, in the other hand Real Madrid were still quite good in La Liga and they won the CL, so it wasn't as surprising as Sevilla, seems like spanish teams have some extra power on european leagues.

Sevilla, which has performed poorly in La Liga, was able to show a different performance in UEL. The success of winning the UEL gave Sevilla an advantage next season. They are entitled to an automatic ticket to the UCL even if they fail to finish in the top four in the local competition. La Liga teams have proven capable of being the best in European competition, Real Madrid as the king of the Champions League while Sevilla as the king of the Europa League.

Sevilla have the same dominance Real Madrid have in the Champions League here. Sevilla are called as the king of the Europa League as you know and the thing I wonder the most is whether any other team will be able to change this. It is really not easy to beat Sevilla about the number of titles achieved right now. While Sevilla have 7 titles the closest opponents have 3.

And those opponents are Liverpool, Juventus, Inter and Atletico Madrid. All of them are normally teams seen in the Champions League mostly. But next season we will be watching Liverpool in the Europa League. This can be quite interesting. Sevilla are going to be in the Champions League maybe but they might drop down here again who knows.

Indeed, it has become a tradition for teams from Spain to be able to win titles in European competition, but this time the lucky ones were only Sevilla who managed to bring home their 7th trophy to Spain and Real Madrid had to settle for reaching the semifinals of the champions league. But other facts related to results in the domestic league cannot be commonplace for these two teams and even so they will be strong enough to dominate the two European competitions next season.

I think Sevilla this time will not be as calm as last season because there will be many other teams that were previously in the Champions League finally getting a place in the European league and I quite agree that one of these teams is Liverpool which could be a barrier for Sevilla to win the title in Europa League next season.

You are right the Sevilla team has not focused specifically on LaLiga for the Europa League. But in my personal opinion, Sevilla need to do great in La Liga too, because there are enough opportunities in this league. With nothing more likely to be done in La Liga this time around, it's only fitting that Sevilla do something great in the Europa League.
Very true. La Liga league is also very important to Sevilla, they need to put more energy in La Liga because they cannot continue
to always be  in their  poor performance in every season and take the excuse of putting more focus on the Europa League. it is important they considered their domestic League first before any other League.
Sevilla were once one of the most consistent top four clubs in Spain in the past but has really depreciated in their performance in the league over the years.
Winning the UEFA Europa League competition as often as possible I think should not be the reason why they shouldn't be doing great in the league. The club's management needs to do something very serious about their performance in the league and make necessary changes that'll will improve their results in the league. Sevilla will play in the UEFA Champions League competition next season as well compete in the league so it is expected they will be active in the summer transfer window

La Liga also won't be easier for Sevilla although that is important to consider because La Liga is its own domestic league. Next season Sevilla will no longer be in the Europa League which of course has to focus more on the Champions League because Sevilla has won the Europa League and that will of course be even tougher for Sevilla because the Champions League is a collection of the best teams in all leagues.
Of course football will always be tough that's not an excuse to remain the same,  let the victory of Sevilla in the Europa League be a starting point for them to do better against the Champions League next season and also in La Liga because right now I think they a big team when it comes to Europa, they should be able to strive for something bigger.
Sevilla team is expected to perform well in La Liga next season. Because the team has enough potential. And currently every player is performing brilliantly. Again, this team is currently the European champion.
It seems difficult to expect Sevilla to become La Liga champions because there are two big teams that dominate the title alternately, namely Barcelona and Real Madrid.
To be able to face and beat these two teams in La Liga, Sevilla needs a long time to be able to prepare everything but still can't guarantee that they will also win.

If you say the Europa League Sevilla are champions, that's true and they deserve that title.

Sevilla knows how to win in the Europa League very well and they got enough achievements to say Sevilla is the most successful team in Europa League and I think Sevilla in Europa League is just like Real Madrid in the Champions League both teams are known for their performance in these tournaments.

It was not a surprise to see Inter Milan losing in the Uefa Champions League finals as they are playing against high flying Manchester City. Inter Milan did actually played quite well as they did not allow Manchester City to dominate the game totally and Ederson had to make a number of great saves to deny Inter Milan scoring a goal. I think the fans of Inter Milan should still be proud of their team performance despite losing the trophy as they only conceded 1 goal against Manchester City.

Since Manchester City had been playing so well just before the final, it was almost certain that they were not going to lose the match, in fact, if somehow Manchester City were to lose this match, it would be an enormous shock. Additionally, it was going to be very unusual for Manchester City to lose to Inter in the finals after beating Real Madrid in the semifinals. As it turned out, that wasn't the case, and everything went according to plan.

Of course, I think Inter can actually take some positives out of the final as they had only conceded one. However, we have to give credit to Manchester City for their performance.

I don't understand Pep Guadiola, just one Champions league, he is challenging Real Madrid that has 13 champions leagues. or was he high on something? it will take Manchester city like 30 years to get 13 Champions league. because they can't defend the title next year. even if they do it will be hard to start to compare themselves to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid has no contender when it comes to champions league, their closest rival is Ac Milan, they has 7 Champions league title. And not Manchester city.
It was just a joke from pep guardiola when he managed to bring manchester city to win the ucl trophy for the first time. In my opinion, he was very happy at that time and he made quite surprising words where he would challenge Real Madrid for the UCL trophy in the following season. I think things like that happen a lot in football and it's just a joke.

I think that Manchester City will not be able to catch up with Real Madrid, which has collected 14 UCL trophies, it will be quite impossible to happen because it takes quite a long time.  I think Pep Guardiola is giving a signal that they can say anything about the UCL because they already have 1 UCL trophy they got this season.

Along with the English league, the Spanish league is the best European league, with a lot of quality teams and players.
Even for Real, it has been very difficult to win the Spanish league in recent years, but that is why they have won many more European championship titles than Spanish championship titles.
On the example of Real, it seems that it is easier to be the champion of Europe than the champion of Spain  Grin
The situation is similar with Sevilla, they are much more successful in European club competitions than in the Spanish league.
In European club competitions, it is enough to play 6-8 quality matches to win a trophy, but in the league system it is not enough and you have to play at a high level continuously.

I get your sarcasm when you say that is easier for them to win titles in Europe Wink

But still the comparison is not quite correct. Spain has become a bit weaker as a league recently, but weaker relative to other leagues I would say. I still think it is the 2nd best as you said. But 68 quality games is first not enough, and second these quality games are much harder than league games and the consequences are a knockout in some cases. In the league you can afford to lose a couple of games, in Europe you can't.

Depending on the group the teams get, it is six games against six relatively strong teams already. Barcelona had to play two times against Bayern Munich and two times against Inter Milan, the finalist. That is four games already. Then they could have played against PSG, then Manchester City. That is already 8 games. Potentially against Real Madrid and also a final against some strong team.

Bayern Munich is the perfect counter example. They win the Bundesliga for a decade, but it is infinitely harder to win the Champions League.

Guardiola's words were only jokes. He said it jokingly. Real Madrid is the most experienced team in the Champions League. This team has won the title of highest scorer. On the other hand, it was Manchester City's first title. After hard work in the last 3/4 seasons, they managed to win it. Guardiola himself is well aware that winning 13 Champions League titles is very difficult for City and requires a long time. And so Guardiola said this only in jest.

This year Roma was not the only Italian team that lost the European tournament because in the champions league, Inter Milan lost the game against Manchester City and Fiorentina lost the final match against Westham in the Europa Conference League, Andrea Abodi their sports minister said he had hoped to see these three teams winning in European tournaments.
I think Roma had a much better chance to win the final match but they were just not lucky enough for it.

Still very and unsportsmanlike that Mourniho decided to throw away his medal. Would he have picked it up afterwards? That lucky finder could become rich at an auction. But maybe that's typical for Mourinho, he just wants to win and is no longer satisfied with 2nd places. In competition it is a different story. He will be especially disappointed that he is not allowed to play CL with AS Roma now, because in the competition they have only qualified for the El or maybe even COnference kleague. A big difference.
I think Mourinho must have been very upset because of a match they should have won, but it had to be tarnished by the unfair actions of the referee in that match and I think it's only natural that Mourinho would vent his anger by throwing away his medals. Even after the end of the game Mourinho was still not happy with the loss which made him wait for the referee in the car park to protest in person. Apart from all that, Roma will still have the opportunity to start again from scratch in the European league next season and for sure Mourinho will try to bring Roma back to the final round.
It makes sense that Mourinho would be extremely irritated with the game and the referee unjust acts and that he would vent his rage by throwing away his medals. Even after the game Mourinho waited for the referee in the parking lot to personally express his displeasure at the defeat. Roma will have another chance to start over in the European league next season despite the setback. Mourinho who is renowned for his tenacity will definitely make an effort to lead Roma towards the competition final stages using his knowledge and tactical insight. With his guidance Roma has a chance to recover and resume competing at the highest level.
