Bad performance? United did so much better than last season and that was all thanks to him. They improved a lot just from the start of the season to the end and yes there could be a few games where they lost, but it is understandable considering they were all tired at that point. I believe that they are going to end up with a better result eventually, they are going to keep growing but we also need to remember that they are getting a takeover soon as well.

Europa may have been an issue and they should have beaten Sevilla as well, but with the takeover happening soon, I think they will get out of group stages of UCL and not worry about europa at all, they will lose at UCL last 16 or quarter finals, or even maybe semi finals, which would be better than this season.

They had a good performance and Macnshter United got all they need to do, they just needed to decrease the personal mistakes of players like Maguire, otherwise, they had a high chance to win the title.

It is all about how much Liverpool would care about the tournament. But even if they qualify for the Champions League by finishing in top 4 they can still go for the Europa League title on one hand. Because this season was really unsuccessful for them.

My concern is strong candidate didn't mean if such club will be winning the competition. I learned a lot from what happened with juventus, arsenal even manchester united. I can also remind you how strong arsenal in EPL and many people were yelling if arsenal gonna win the europa league easily without a tough game but it has been beaten easily in the play off stage which has been proving if anything can be wrong.
That's why i think that scenario was still possible to happen.

That's pretty interesting to see how well sevilla play in UCL. I expect nothing from this club in UCL.
It's pretty much the same like a mediocre team that was playing in the competition between the best team.

I'm never taking on Sevilla unless it really makes sense to bet on their opponent. I mean in the Europa League of course because they aren't this much good in the Champions League. But they are really good at dominating the Europa League in which they are called as "the king". Even if they face strong opponents which are at Champions League level they can still find a way to beat them.

This is really interesting to see that they can't do the same in the Champions League much. I could have said that it is due to such opponents' not caring about the Europa League but there is no such thing either. You have all seen how much Manchester United fought against them for example.

Maybe Mendilibar might lead the team to more titles in the future but it is still early to be confident. Because he has no great history as a manager to earn people's trust that much. But this is a great beginning though. Grin

We saw Villareal win the Europa league last season. They were not the best team in the league. They just understood that each opponent is different and you play each of the with different tactics.

It's very good news for the fans as we have good improvement in few teams after many years which is going to create good competitive fight for the title in next season even still need few things to fix but as they perform in all competitions it's good sign there were hopes about their win into Europa Cup but champions Sevilla thrashed them badly in away game, but now we will have improved side with few new signings surely going to improve quality and performance for the next season.

With this all now who is going to compete in this competition it's not predictable because mostly big teams try to stay in Champions League or fight for the domestic title but if we have good time again surely many surprises will be happening again in next season and winner could be again best with strong winning mentality.
