this will be a very difficult game, I knew man utd will definitely meet a strong team but I never expected Barcelona. It will be huge investment for UEFA, they will make alot of money from the home and away game, more than champions league final game. De Jong man utd was pricing during the transfer summer will be playing against United, I'm sure he will like to prove a point in the game. Ronaldo will be playing against Barcelona again after he left Juventus, he scored brace against Barcelona in 2020 champions league knockout stage. This game is money making game for UEFA

@Lordhermes as a Manchester United fan I’m concerned, because we have a poor win record against Barcelona and thus I’m keeping my hopes low for these fixtures. Furthermore this match maybe a chance where Ronaldo can redeem himself, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he failed to score against them as his stats are bad while playing as a Manchester United player against Barcelona.

When a match like this happens in the Uefa Europa League, no one can believe it. The two teams, who met in the Champions League final in 2011, are now fighting in the last 32 round of the Europa League. I don't think being at this level in Europe suits either team. So it is pleasing from my point of view that one of the two teams will be eliminated. I hope the other team will be eliminated in the next round. They should not get used to the European league.

First of all, it is not nice to see two big title contenders facing each other in last 32 stage already. Of course I would have liked to see such matchup but not this early for certain.

By the way Barcelona's odds for advancing to next stage are like this now:

I'm not surprised with seeing Barcelona this much favourite truthfully. This is quite normal when we consider the general performances of both teams. If we compare them considering only the Europa League and Champions League performances then Manchester United might seem advantageous. But I don't expect Barcelona to maintain their bad Champions League effort here also. Xavi needs to do his best for his team to make as much money as possible before the end of the season. Maybe the income here isn't as much as in the Champions League but it is still important. I think this is the end of the road for the Red Devils.

That can happen too if Ronaldo goes in January, he has not been happy but i think after his suspension by the club he has been playing frequently and he captained the team in their 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa last weekend, so maybe he is becoming happier with the team and may not force his way out in January, but even without Ronaldo the game is surely going to be tough and interesting, the two teams are bigger than the Europa league but they must accept their situation and give fans a very good game to watch.

I disagree that Ronaldo will be out of Man utd this January. The past 2 weeks has actually change this. Ten Hag is beginning to play him more and even trust him to be given the captain band this weekend although there were options like Degea and Eriksen to give it to. Except United Signs a merquee center forward Ronaldo will be there till at least next summer.

For the game I predict united to qualify although it will be hard because united are usually poor against Spanish teams but I choose united to win because Ten Hag actually priorities UEL than Xavi. Xavi will prefer to win Laliga other than this. And with Barca's defence I don't see them winning this one.

Another interesting match is the union Berlin against Ajax. That would be another great game. Although Ajax had a bad outing in the UCL I would fancy them to progress pass the playoffs against Union. I am picking this base on Ajax's European experience.

Manchester United facing Barcelona in the knockout phase, it's must watch game in Europa and happens to be one of the tough one. Barça boss, Xavi Hernandez needs to proof that he's capable of taking the team to the next level. While united have been quite on the winning run in the Europa, they also need winning. Erik ten hag have another test to show the fans that he's the perfect man for the job. First I thought it was rumour, but later confirm it and I'm excited about the fixture.
