Mourinho knows what he's doing, he likes playing tactics no coach can predict. He loves defensive game, once he score one goal, this game is over for Roma. They will defend till the end. Mourinho understand this game very much.
Mourinho decided to let his players play as safest as possible in this match. They don't need to win the match and only need a draw. During the first half, their players in some situations only tried to kick the ball as far as possible from their one-third field side. Spinazzola looked to get a muscle injury and Zalewski was sent in to replace him. He is important for Roma attacking at the left side and Roma will need him in final.

I believe that this match will end with a 0 - 0 draw or a win 1 - 0 for Roma. In the second half, Leverkusen will have to attack more and Roma will have chance to find a goal to reserve a spot in the final match.

Quote
The Sevilla and Juventus game is very hard , both team are playing well in the first half. But the home team is still very favorite for to win. Let's see what the second half will bring. I'm sure that that Roma, Basel, and Sevilla will qualify to the next Stage.
It has a draw 0 - 0 after the first half too. At least Juventus did played good enough in Seville and did not let Sevilla score goals easily like Manchester United. Those clubs maybe will continue with extra time and even penalties.

But I see Leverkusen managed to play pretty well in the first leg, it's just that the goal from Roma was able to defend well until the game ended, but if Leverkusen tonight is able to press better to attack Rome it will be more difficult for Roma even though they will defend completely but at least it will be overwhelmed if Roma just play defensively.

Leverkusen will certainly target attacks even better than before, but if Leverkusen manages to score the first goal in the second half then there will be little change from Roma not to completely defend they have to have a better attack when Leverkusen are tired in terms of the attacks they make, but we'll see how Mourinho manages the strategy well.
It's a home match for Leverkusen, so I think they'll try to give the best for their fans. Roma must have thought about how to deal with Leverkusen who today have good motivation and confidence for a comeback, but Mourinho must be considered as an elite coach who will probably have some useful strategies to secure a place in the final.

Roma can win the second leg, but only if they won counter-attacks. Roma's tactics tend to be defensive and they will be very closed to applying pressure early on, imo. I hope Roma can reach the final, and in another match I hope Sevilla will.

Leverkusen is playing at home this time against Roma and this can help them to have more chance agagnist this time but I guess Roma is going to play defensive and they should try protecting the only goal they scored in this match, however if Roma start defnecie playing style Leverkusen still should be careful about the counter-attacks.
Apparently Roma have really decided to play defense, but it looks like Bayer Leverkusen is just pushing Roma now, already three dangerous moments, once Diaby hit the post, and Bayer's ball possession reaches 75% and Bayer Leverkusen has already managed to hit 8 times the goal! And it's only 30 minutes into the game.
In general, if Roma is not able to push Bayer away from their goal soon, then most likely a goal will happen in the first half.
Also Roma were unlucky and already in the first half Spinazzola got injured and had to replace him. In general, it's a terrible start for Roma so far.

0-0 In the 1st half between Juventus and Sevilla.

A lot of things happened, including a post for Juventus and a removed goal for Juventus due to offside.

The game is open and anything can still happen

Well, the man of the game can be Illing, this young map is the new thing.

Game starting soon.

I hope that much mistreated old lady at least manages to bring this cup home
most of all Massimiliano Allegri deserves it, who had to work with an emergency team taking a lot of criticism
while then in the end he led Juventus, despite the disqualification points, to an excellent point

Both teams are powerful and in good positions this season, thus the game will be very challenging. However, based on the team's performance, I think juventus to be better than sevilla. Although I am convinced that juventus will take the game more seriously because Sevilla is playing at home, which will give Sevilla the conviction that they can overcome juventus, Sevilla is a powerful squad that can play well.
It's challenging for me to anticipate the result of this game given how excellent both of these teams are and how difficult it will be for Sevilla to shock Juventus.

These are two strong teams and I am excited about their second leg match. Sevilla is actually a plus one 40 favorites at home uh and they're playing really well right now. Both teams would be missing a couple of solid players either due to suspension or injury. I am not going to write off Juventus because looking at their last five games, they haven't had any defeat as they will be looking to get into the finals. However, for this game, I am going to go with Sevilla because overtime, they are outstanding in this type of situations in this type of games and especially the Europa League.

And Roma's lead coming to Leverkusen is 1-0 in the first leg, and it looks like Jose Mourinho will be more focused on maintaining a 1-0 lead than scoring additional goals and may only rely on counter-attacks if they have good chances.
and as we saw in the first leg Leverkusen struggled to penetrate the defense of Jose Mourinho's team. But what is certain is that Leverkusen will continue to attack considering they are 1-0 down in the first leg and will continue to try to break through the Roman defense to score goals, and this will be a very interesting match.

Roma vs Bayer 04 Leverkusen leg-2 is going to be held today in UEFA Europ league semi-final game. After 32 long years, Roma started their journey from the semi-finals to the final, it is the most joy for Roma. Today's match will be a great attack for Roma to reach the final as they reach this semi-final stage after 32 long years. Roma are ahead after scoring 1 goal in Leg-1 and Bayer 04 Leverkusen are under a lot of pressure in the match as they are one goal behind. Today's match is at Bayer 04 Leverkusen's home ground but they are under a lot of pressure and this match Roma will surely attack enough to reach the final. And in the match, it is confirmed that Roma will have a great attack and will definitely reach the final.

Roma looks much better then Leverkusen so far and i think they might win it. Im expecting that Mourinho parks the bus and waits for a counter attack to finish Leverkusen. If a goal accures in early minutes we might see a lot but still this all smells like another low scoring match

Yes, I personally have no doubts about what kind of strategy Mourinho will implement in the second leg, because AS Roma won 1-0 in the first leg, this makes me sure that Mourinho will prioritize playing defense and not totally attacking.

But yes, even though for example AS Roma will actually play defensively but of course, AS Roma can still make quick counterattacks. Therefore, even though AS Roma played more defensively but in the end, AS Roma still had the chance and ability to score goals because this strategy had also been applied quite often by Mourinho.

I somehow agree about the possibility of Sevilla winning the second leg and qualifying for the final. Sevilla are confident they can beat Juventus at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán even if they don't underestimate Massimiliano Allegri's side.

I still remember very well how Sevilla crushed Manchester United in the second leg of the quarter-finals with a score of 3-0 which then led them to the semifinals against Juventus. Sevilla must be able to repeat all that well even though Juventus have a mission to reach the final. Juventus are strong in defense and attack, so Sevilla have to watch that well.
Ahead of kick off Sevilla vs Juventus and I agree that Sevilla's chances qualifying for the final are far greater than Juventus', the draw they got at Juventus is a big advantage for Sevilla when they play at home. As far as the previous game in the quarter-finals Sevilla were quite aggressive at home and they really didn't waste any chances and managed to beat Man United 3-0. I will bet on Sevilla and absolutely believe Sevilla will score two goals in this game.

The line-up has been confirmed and several Juventus players have been injured, so Allegri had to rotate several players and the absence of several important players was also very detrimental to Juventus. The Juventus defense will have a little difficulty holding back the attacks built by the Sevilla players, if Mendilibar Etxebarria applies a strategy similar to that against Man United, especially the sharpness of Youssef En-Nesyri.

Mourinho has done a great job during his time in charge of Roma, he is also a coach with a winning mentality. Mourinho will try to repeat his success last season when guiding Roma to win the Conference League, Roma only need a draw at Leverkusen headquarters to reach the final round. Mourinho ability and experience have shaped the character of Roma players with a Champion Mentality, Mourinho will do everything to bring Roma who have gone through many difficult moments until they get to the semifinals.

Sevilla are very strong when playing in the Europa League, especially when playing at home. Juventus have felt how difficult it is to beat Sevilla, even though Juventus played in front of their supporters, they were unable to win. Sevilla greatness in the Europa League must be watched out for by Juventus, Sevilla managed to beat PSV Eindhoven 3-0, Fenerbahce 2-0 and Manchester United 3-0 when playing at the Sanchez Pizjuan. Sevilla status as king in the Europa League must be watched out for by Juventus, Sevilla was able to maintain its best form despite not performing well in La Liga.
I think there is just one thing missing, which is be great at the league. If he can take Roma to like top 4 first, and then maybe even win the league eventually that would be something the Roma team can never forget. So far they have won the conference league, and he is doing so well at europa as well, I think the league is the only thing left that they could do better and it would be lovely to see. But since he did so well so far, there is a chance that a better team could snatch him up and take him.

Chelsea is in the rumors, they are looking for a new manager and Mourinho has managed it before so they could just end up hiring him, in that case Roma would never see how it would go with Mourinho for many more years. Depends on if the rumors are true or not.

The second leg of the European League semi-final between Sevilla and Juventus will be a very tense battle because the two teams still have a balanced aggregate. However, as the host, Sevilla will certainly be very favored to win and at the same time qualify for the final round. However, I think Juventus will not sit idly by seeing that Sevilla can be free at home and that Allegri's squad will still be eager to win away from home.

Considering that the two teams are equally strong, I think the game will return to a draw for 90 minutes and will then proceed to the extra time round until the penalty shoot-out to determine the winner who will advance to the European league final. Even so, I still have a question, can Sevilla excel and win the game in normal time while also destroying Juventus' hopes? we should wait for one of these very exciting matches. Smiley
The current odds for both teams today

Sevilla @2.36
Draw @2.90
Juventus @3.20

Sevilla a bit favourite in this match probably because of host factor but just like i said before Sevilla were performing well in the first leg and they even almost win the match before Juventus player can scored goal in the second half of extra time so this proven Sevilla even can able to make Juventus get in trouble and the last time Juventus won this competition was in 1993 at that time called UEFA Cup and it would be a great achievement for Allegri if he can bringing Juventus advances to the final match

And this actually very interesting match because both teams had different records that Sevilla strong at home and Juventus during knockout stage had impressive records at their opponents home ground but Sevilla at this competition seems had different level because they were very strong and in my opinion this match will not ended with draw but i think Sevilla can able to beat Juventus
With odds that big, it's clear that most people will bet on Sevilla's win, but I would prefer to bet the handicap (-0.25) with odds @2.02 for Sevilla's win because just in case the two teams will only draw in normal time 90 minutes at a time. my money will not disappear completely. On the other hand, the two teams have quite unique match records, but indeed, if Sevilla is at home it will be difficult for any team in the European league competition to be able to beat them. I don't expect Juventus to be able to win this match and I prefer Sevilla who will advance to the European league final to be able to add to their trophy collection again.

I think Sevilla may not be as lucky as always against Juventus. Juventus prepared very well for this match and they are preparing to win the trophy in the European league, which they see more important now, instead of Serie A. They will surely cross the Sevilla barrier today to take this trophy to their museum.

I haven't followed much with the Juventus club in recent weeks but looking at the current names it looks like they are trying at the start with some young players. There is a bit of reluctance because this is really a life and death match but they are trying with some young players although maybe Allegri has some schemes now especially by looking at their current reserves, there are some players who actually can still be like Dusan, Chiesa and even Kostic who is on Benches.
Only 1 hour left, kick off starts now and they try with 3-5-1-1 with Di Maria as Second Striker.
