One of the factors that made Roma make it to the final of the European league last season was their coach Jose Mourinho, he is a coach who has quite good statistics in European competition and proven Mourinho previously managed to bring Roma as champions in the conference league and then to the European league final, and in the semi-finals they beat Bayer Leverkusen and it was not a convincing victory at all but Mourinho managed to use his experience to bring Roma quite well for two seasons in the European competition.
But this season is all different and without denigrating their new coach Roma will still remain a doubtful team here, maybe they will qualify from the playoff 16 and can advance to the quarterfinals but then it will be very difficult because Roma are not as good as Liverpool or Leverkusen even if compared to AC Milan then Roma are not better than fellow Serie A teams.

If you look at the strength of the Roma and AC Milan teams, they are not much different from Liverpool and Leverkusen, it's just that the consistency is different, so Liverpool and Leverkusen are still quite favorites up to now.

Most of the time peoples missed things like these Marseille is surely having troubling time but still their performance at home is impressive, and they are unbeatable at home which is also impressive so for the second leg game I have feeling most chances we will have Marseille could be done better and try to recover from their recent poor performance because we have now changed of coach as well which is mostly have positive impact on teams and as they have done good job in first leg match things are also into their favour for the have better chance for going into round of 16.

I am favouring over for this match because most chances after tough challenging first leg match we can expect another open game which will allow both teams to score more goals with for me Marseille/Draw is going to be better chance instead of going for the Shakhtar which fail to take any advantage in first leg match.

Yes, thats right, based on the current performances of Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen, it seem that they are the only ones who are considered strongs enough to compete for the UEL title. Meanwhile, the performance of AC Milan and AS Roma cannot be said to be completely stable in competing but they still have the opportunity to go further if their performance is surprising in the match they will face, but I don't think it's as good as Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen.
I also agree with you hopefully Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen don't meet before the final so the competition between the two will be very interesting to watch.

Based on the impressive performance of Leverkusen and Liverpool since the start of the season, these two teams are very favorites to be the ones to win the UEL title. I hope these teams don't face each other in the quarter-finals or semifinals, it would be more exciting if they appeared in the final to beat each other to become UEL champions this season. Milan is not consistent in maintaining its performance as a result it will have difficulty providing competition to Liverpool or Leverkusen. Currently the odds are still in favor of Liverpool and Leverkusen, Milan might be able to provide a surprise depending on how they perform in the next match.

Still in playoff round and actually have far away to be Europe League winner in this season, most of qualified team to 16 of round need waiting for the playoff round second leg match and probably who will be their opponent teams in 16 round. Today will play second leg match and next few days later UEFA will make drawing for 16 round of Europe League, seems not interested if top teams such AC Milan, Liverpool and Bayern Leverkusen have to face on early round with their potential interested as final dreaming of Europe League.

Indeed Bayern Leverkusen and Liverpool are favorite team become the winner of Europe League I think not blame with AS Roma has opportunity lead to final stage back to back, last season Roma is not favorite team but success lead until final round before beating by Sevilla. Roma has start from playoff round and first leg against Feyenoord have draw and the winner team will qualify to knock out round.

Milan performance in the first leg was very impressive because they were able to win the match with a fairly large score. Apart from that, Milan was also able to play a pretty good defensive game so they were able to create a clean sheet in this match. I hope that in the second leg Milan will also be able to provide similar pressure as in first leg because in this second match they will play away and it can be quite difficult to win and even if they lose, I don't think Rennes will be able to score more than 3 goals like Milan did before, but Milan's mentality in the last match needs to be used as a reference because the match was also an away match.

Milan performance in the Champions League is not very good, but their experience in the European league is quite good so this could be a good opportunity for Milan to perform at their best in the European league so that they don't continue to disappoint their fans because we all know that Milan performance is actually still very strongs to compete with clubs in European leagues such as Liverpool and Leverkusen and yes, it is possible, as you said, that Milan can reach the final or semi-finals if they try harder.

Liverpool and Leverkusen still proves to be with the highest probable chances in the premier league and they ahve not shown otherwise ever since they have been appearing to be superior so I have almost no doubts in their abilities to be able to win the Europa league trophy but then after the current stage now I think my level of certainty will be much more definite and beyond what I'm thinking at this moment because between Liverpool and Leverkusen I'm yet to have some certainty as to who has got a higher chance but I know klop would want to make this opportunity count as it maybe the last he's got with Liverpool.

Roma are a good side. Their manager De Rossi has some kind of ability to raise up a team into a pretty much successful squad. Even with the loopholes they're faced with, he's still been able to help the team stand out in some games. Injury has definitely been a number one deprivation of a team's performance but the manager has been able to make do with the players and squad he's got available and even though not perfect as expected, they're not relenting in their efforts. Although their performance against teams in the league didn't fully get good commendation but still they tried to secure the points to themselves. The European competition would definitely favour them, they only need to strive to win the next leg to advance. Good thing also that their striker is at his peak performance and he's always capable of delivering the team to victory in dire moments.

 Roma overtime have been a good impactful team in the Serie A league, they're a good side and they've got huge task to prove a point and endure that they don't go below commendations too. They're a team that can definitely be compared to the likes of Inter and Juventus. The coach they have currently is skillful, they may technically be lacking a little bit of player quality but I believe they can make do with what they have. Recent game outcomes haven't been so terrible or bad for them. They're staying in shape and hopefully with time and weeks going by, they'll be able to stay back at their deserved top spots. The season has a couple of games left for Roma to show it's ability. They will try to be relevant in both the Serie A and Europa League too. At the moment, the situation in the team is in safe hands and patiently and gently, they'd stride to the spots they want to be.

Leverkusen and Liverpool are indeed two big monsters who have become big walls for all clubs competing in the European League this season. I don't really understand about your point. However, winning the match isn't only about the quality of the squad. It is also depending on the team work, mentality, and the tactics used on the match. When we bet on which team to win the match, most of us will consider the quality of the squad. Not many people analyzed the stats of the performance of the two teams in the last few matches. People also don't really care about the stats of head to head between the two teams.

Sure, Shaktar may eliminate Marseille if they could win the Leg 2. But I assume Marseille that will have a bigger chance to win the match in Leg 2 because the match will be in their home. And in the Leg 1, we can see that Marseille actually dominated the match although it was in Shaktar home. Moreover, if the match will be held in Marseille home, they must dominate more the match because they will have an extra motivation to win.

This season is a pretty good season for Liverpool to win the European league, Especially they have player who have the mentality to win and also their performance in the domestic league this season is quite impressive. leverkusen should also not be underestimated because while xabi alonso was their coach, leverkusen was very strong and the proof is that They performed quite well this season. Predicting who will be the champion is a bit difficult because we haven't seen the potential opponents They will face in the round of 16.

The case of Barcelona last season is associated with poor form, they were doing well in their domestic League but they don’t have quality players to compete in the Europa League, their Lalig’s big opponent Real Madrid was also not in good form last season, that was the main reason they couldn’t make it in the Europa League.

I wouldn't say this can be deemed as a rule of thumb as it does depend on the form of a team. When Barcelona got relegated into the Europa League last season, it could be said that they were doing well in their domestic league but they had huge problems to get along in the European competitions. Everyone thought they would be smashing the Europa League, but I was quite sure they were definitely not win it. It's tough for teams to take on the challenge when they are full of superstars and are used to playing the Champions League, but then end up playing against Ludogoretz or something. It shouldn't be underestimated that especially the superstars can grow with the challenge, but the fun fact is that the opposite can hold true as well. They can't play their best against the worst (I exaggerated a bit here, but you get the idea).

So this is why it is hard to tell whether the teams from the Champions League understand the challenge and will play their highest level or whether they will fall pray for an inferior but highly motivated team. This happens quite often in my opinion.

If you ask me, since the start of this thread I have favored Leverkusen.
