UEL is not an easy job which is different from the domestic league. The UEL competition is more difficult to read the opponent's strength.
There are doubts about the result of the match in Rotterdam which means that AS Roma could lose. I think it is likely that it will only be a draw even if Feyenoord plays as hosts.
AS Roma in Serie A is not doing well but has started to improve and this will be a sign that Feyenoord needs to be wary of them.

AS Roma has good goal statistics in the last few matches, so against Feyenoord it will not be difficult for De Rossi's squad to score goals.
A draw would be the best target if achieved.

I generally dislike the idea that an away game means you have to draw and then win back at home in the 2nd leg. I dunno, it feels like you should've aimed for a win since the 2nd one can be even more difficult due to pressure and a change of motivation. While it is rare to see a comeback win like Liverpool vs Barca in the Champions League, we've seen decent matches where the away team wins while the home team fails to capitalize on anything. I'm referring to something like Liverpool vs Munchen in the Champions League. An away team can use the pressure to motivate themselves and play better, granted it depends on the players that you have too. As a neutral though, I'd love to see a match where both teams want to win with an evenly match-pressing game and so on.

The UEFA Europa League play off round is underway. Coming from the Champions League, Shakhtar Donetsk fought well in the group stage and did not give any of their opponents an easy game. We should even think about their home win over Barcelona. They are a team that likes surprises and they defend very well when necessary. Marseille, who finished second in UEFA Europa League Group B, stood out with their attacking play in the group stage and have a high goal average in their matches. Yes, but De Rossi's good record cannot be said to be completely good because Roma still has to face many matches that have not been played and this depends on how De Rossi manages the club if De Rossi is able to give a series of good wins when facing clubs that are under Roma. You could say it's pretty good because at least De Rossi doesn't give bad results continuously because De Rossi also wants to show Roma his abilities in managing this club.

Yes, De Rossi is not an experienced coach like Jose Mourinho and is still considered an amateur in managing the club, but at least Roma gave him the opportunity to proved his abilities, whether he can give the best, if he can surprise everyone then that is something that must be appreciated especially when facing the match in the Europa League against Feyenoord, we'll see to what extent De Rossi makes the Roma club appear surprising.

I won't be that easy to believe in Roma performance even though the new coach has had a slight influence on improving performance, but competing at UEL is not an easy job.
We are speculating on betting and I am a little doubtful that in the 1st leg it looks like Roma will lose because Feyenoord seems to be in good condition without having any problems.
It looks like Feyenoord will at least score 1 winning score but if De Rossi has a strategy not to lose or hold a draw I think it would be better and take revenge in the 2nd leg match when Roma is the host.

It is indeed quite reasonable to consider A.S. Roma's victory against a weak team when facing a strong Inter Milan, even playing on A.S. Roma's home turf and losing. However, Feyenoord in the European competition is not a particularly strong or weak team. I believe A.S. Roma can easily win.

De Rossi will try to give his best for Roma, he will try to win this match to convince the club management that he is worthy of leading Roma. Feyenoord are not in their best form, this match should be very easy for Roma, winning the first leg is very important to look forward to an easier second leg. Roma must play like when they faced Inter, even though they lost, Roma's style of play was very good in this match.

Mourinho was always having good head to head against feyenoord and it's strange to call that if roma was even weaker compared to the feyenoord when mourinho was there. Things are changing after rossi was coming in. he had been changing the club a lot and it appears that if roma was not doing a lot of progress.

I must admit roma was able beating several mediocre team but this doesn't mean roma is safe for now. The match against feyenoord was a very important thing and that's it. Roma could not win the game without even being helped by mourinho.
I think that the result for this season is kinda different caused by roma will be facing a strong club that has been dropped from UCL to the europa league. The club needs to play even more consistent compared to the last seaosn. I hope roma will be doing so well this season.

Another match to proves rossi's worthiness for the club. So, keep our eyes on this match coz the management may also use the result from europa league to determine the future from the club too.

Roma may possible to lose against feyenoord if the club keeps to play like shit against feyenoord. Roma needs to replace the goal keeper and the defenders. it's not yet clear about what things that is going to be made by rossi for roma. I hope that if everything will be alright. The main problem if roma has poor defensive line. This is the main problem that needs to be solved as soon as possible. Roma needs to make sure it will able to perform better and the goal keeper's performance was also very poor. This is also making the situation even better. I do support roma to win the game soon. Things are going to be much more easier for roma as long as it would able to learn from the mistake being made in teh match against intermilan.
I do support milan to go fully offensive against feyenoord. I may be picking doble chance for this match. It's hard to guess on which team that will be winning the game soon. Roma is still playing quite well this season. As long as roma can keep consistent and it can win the game soon.

@Despairo, at least you also shouldn't underestimate Galatasaray either because after all, if you only consider about Sparta Prague position in the domestic league table which is at the top of the standing. In fact, at this moment, Galatasaray are also at the top of the standing in their domestic league. So yes, Galatasaray and Sparta Prague this moment have good results in their domestic leagues but even so, at least Galatasaray is still better because Galatasaray previously played in the Champion League. Well De Rossi time at Roma is already on track and he’ll be having quite some crazy time as he’ll be having some huge tests. His first test was against Inter Milan and he wasn’t able to leave up to expectation. Now, his next test if Feynoord and that’ll be at Netherland; Feynoord is one big team that is doing well in their league. Roma will have to improve their performance against Feynoord if they want to have any shot at the Europa League.

 The match at the Netherland will be quite difficult as Feynoord will want to have a win in this match to secure their spot in the next round but Roma would have to try not to be able to concede much goals if they want to go far in the competition, this would be a very big test for De Rossi since he's not managed his new team in a big tournament against another European team from another country.

Any opponent in the Europa League this season is not worth underestimating, even though Roma themselves have proven that they are not that weak when facing the strongest team in Serie A this season. Because over time Roma still have to improve so that they can be better than they are now and when they face Feyenoord tomorrow in the Europa League, Roma must be able to get a win even if it's not by a big score.

Shakhtar Donetsk will host Marseille at home in the first leg.Marseille are a strong opponent but I think Shakhtar have the potential to eliminate Marseille.It's easy for Shakhtar to do well in the league, at least they don't have much points difference with their rivals but the same can't be said for Marseille. I think Marseille will have to at least get a draw if they want to come back with a trophy from here.If they lose I don't think they will qualify.Shakhtar can do better on the road than Marseille.So Gattuso and his team have a decision to make.If they can make up their minds to eliminate their rivals one by one here, they should ignore their position in the league and focus here.

Here I also want to talk about few things with in UEFA games we have many times big clubs lost their games against weaker sides with most of the time things are unpredictable, and we can expect any result even Sparta Prague coming from small league but still it's never been easy for the Galatasaray to win this game and qualify for the next round because they will be team to watch with their quality and recent consistency.

Galatasaray done good job in Champions League and their recent performance in Turkey League is also good but still they need to be here with their best squad which give his best and also score goals if they want to jump into next round otherwise things can go against them, and they can face exit.

I disagree here because AS Roma won three games against weaker sides with lost against Inter Milan even they play good, but now they are going to face Feyenoord which is having good performance in Eredivisie and their quality is also at his best which is giving them good edge this could be another test case for the De Rossie which is now going to have his fifth match as Roma coach and if they are able to win then surely we can expect better things in coming weeks because they need to be win games after playing better but if they again lost then surely things could be not improved after exit of José Mourinho.

First match is going to be played in the Netherlands which is surely interesting no we will have how things are going to be happened for the Roma can they do improvement under De Rossi, or we are going to have same results like we have in the past.

Well De Rossi era at Roma has started and it started on a very good note. Yes on a very good note in the sense that they were able to get all 3 points in the matches they played. Now we shift our focus to the opponents they played and we see that these weren’t big opponents that could give thm too much stress. As over the weekend, he had his first test where he tried to leave a mark but he failed at the end.

 This bring is to some conclusion that De Rossi might not bring much development to this side owing that he’s also an Amateur coach and might not have much to offer. Yes even in the UEL, currently they’re not seen as much a threat because Jose Mourinho no longer in charge of managing the club however they should underestimate De Rossi, he might not be as experienced as Jose, but he could take everyone by suprise.
